Pros: Food was excellent, dinner and breakfast
Cons: Power outage resulted in dinner being cancelled and yet the power was on at 3:00 PM. There is no other place to eat at this time of year so this was a real letdown.
Pros: Nice view
Cons: The fireplace did not work and there was an extra charge for it. The Jacuzzi water was brown.
Cons: Sink was plugged but they responded immediately Wifi bogged down after 5pm Patio furniture would have been nice
Pros: Lovely property & view of the ocean.
Cons: No breakfast available during our midweek stay. They only had breakfast available on weekends.
Pros: Spectacular ocean view from the room, close to; the ferry terminal, bakery, coffee shop, restaurant inside the hotel and a pizza hut and bar out front.
Pros: Jacuzzi hot tub with mini BBQ in the balcony with an excellent view of the ocean & ferry terminal.
Cons: Balcony could have been more cleaner. It had lot of spiders and other insects.
Pros: Location is SO convenient - you can walk to the ferry, to shops and restaurants, and grocery stores. Also beautiful view of the beach and boats.
Cons: Nothing - everything was wonderful!!!
Cons: it will be great if kitchen provided
Pros: We loved the serene atmoshphere, the gardens and particularly the waterfront location and view! The dinner at the hotel restaurant was outstanding and Angela provided impeccable and attentive service.
Pros: Recently updated rooms. Nice bed linens, refrigerator and microwave.
Cons: Other reviewers are correct- front desk staff only available between 8-6 so plan accordingly.
With a stay at Mayne Island Resort in Mayne Island, you'll be 4.7 mi (7.5 km) from Dinner Bay Japanese Garden and 8.6 mi (13.8 km) from Otter Bay Marina. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely location and we had a large patio only down side was the ugly partition between suits that blocked the sunrise and best views of Gulf Islands. Nice pool and small steam room and Amy gave a good massage.
Cons: Construction woke us up at 7.15am on two days with an excavator on the road right outside our unit. Scared the sh.. out of me and spoiled the whole idea of relaxing here. The resort is almost empty so I can see that this is the time to get work done but why not start after 9am for the guests comfort. Despite most units being empty they put people above us and the floors/ceilings are not sound proofed. Even if I had wanted to try to sleep after being scared out of my skin by the backhoe next to my bed the footfalls of the people upstairs would have woken me. This is an empty 4 plex so why stack the guests. Not many options for eating out other than the resort.
Pros: The location is great, but I feel like no matter where you stay, it only takes 10 mins to drive across the island
Cons: Smell, the hotel is quite old and the room had this weird smell in it
Pros: The location is lovely and the rooms have a splendid view with balconies that are perfect for morning coffee.
Pros: We stayed 3 nights in a pet friendly cottage. The staff was warm and welcoming from our first phone call to the day we left. The unit was excellent as it was clean, comfortable, and quiet for the humans and with a blanket, towel, and placemat for our dog’s food bowl it was comfortable for him too. The pictures of the cottages are spot on with the unit we stayed in. This was our first time to the resort and we are already planning our next time.
Pros: The location and the friendliness.
Cons: I was dissatisfied with the overall cleanness especially the washroom. Also, the shower temperature was inconsistent sometimes too hot and suddenly too cold.
Pros: location! awesome view of Bennet Bay.
Pros: Friendly people. Good food. Great view!
Pros: Love the location and amenities. As we were traveling by bicycle we were able to pack light as every thing we needed was at the resort.
Pros: The location
Cons: Service needs a bit of improvement
