Excellent facility--no minuses at all. Staff was very accommodating, beautiful lobby, lounge and bar. Good service at breakfast. Shuttle to nearby restaurants was a big plus!
The hotel room bathroom the staff and the location n/a
The location was right in the middle of the action
The front desk was friendly and efficient.
Everyone was pleasant and extremely professional. I would recommend this Hilton to All.
The staff was incredibly helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping, every staff member was smiling and happy to assist. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would have expected from such a highly rated hotel.
Definitely remodeled recently. Very nice room and lobby, restaurant. One of the few hotels I have stayed at they charges for wifi.
One of the best days I had,One
Facilities and room Personnel
This hotel looks underbooked, so I hope they start using Friday pricing on other days. The hotel is close to a lot of good restaurants at the mall, and if you've had a bit too much to drink this is a good place to sleep it off. Got a very nice, clean, new room on a high floor and felt like I was the only one on that floor. If there were more special rates I'd stay more often.
its a beautiful place! thee were some neglected and unkept areas during the stay

An elegant hotel with outstanding service, just as you would expect from the Ritz Carlton. The rooms are generous and comfortable with a great bed and a coffee/tea maker. Since this hotel is linked the Galleria shopping mall, probably Washington's most upscale mall, it is a great place to stay if you want to do some shopping without the hassles of driving or parking. The only word of caution is that the upper floors of the hotel are being renovated from around 8am to 5pm everyday, and you can hear the drills and jackhammers even several floors below. So, if you want a room that is quiet during the day and night, you should arrange in advance for a room on the lowest level possible. Overall--a great hotel.
Location It is like car workshop A lot of construction during my stay, drilling hammering I could not sleep during day time
Signed up for a rate that included breakfast, but found out that it only included in room dining. Food was OK, but not really what we wanted.

Responsive courteous staff. Nice amenities. Beautiful venue. Very sparse power outlets in room Had to disconnect lamp to plug in charger. Bedside clock was not illuminated. No option for minifridge in room.
Gym, is importan to me as well as cleanliness and I was so glad this hotel met both standards and more. Can't say that there was one thing there that I was not happy with.

The Staff was AMAZING - Ritz-Carl has the reputation of being client focused and the treatment by the staff was amazing - def. would give them 5 stars out of 5 Sometimes the rooms that you get a really good deal are: super small - by the boiler etc. this was not the case - we definitely got a slightly smaller room than previous rooms I have booked at the Ritz however that was the only item and I understand that
The out standing customer service. The nightlife event for NYE is not as long as in downtown DC. Great hotel but the bar closes early at 2 AM which is Virginia law to my understanding.
This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and it never disappoints. Staff is excellent, room is clean, and you can't beat the location. Champagne at check in is my favorite.

Clean, good Location Expensive
I wish I could bring the bathroom home with us. Kept amenities (water, coffee, towels, etc.) stocked and staff was very friendly and timely. I would most definitely recommend for young couples and business trips. Not a family hotel (which is one reason my boyfriend and I chose it). It's also directly across from a metro station, which was very convenient because parking's a nightmare in Arlington and D.C. No free wifi and not great reception for Verizon customers. Parking is a bit tight, but it's secure.
My husband and I stayed here before we left for our honeymoon, and it was a great pick! They gave us complimentary chocolate strawberries and sparkling water as a gift for being newlyweds. We loved it! Nice walking distance to Georgetown, right next to the metro.
I thought the hotel and rooms were fantastic. I was very comfortable throughout my stay. Booking through Kayak got me a great deal, and it was definitely a steal to stay here. The location was perfect - right next to the Rosslyn metro stop. I was within walking distance of the Arlington Cemetary and Iwo Jima monument. There were several restaurants in the area that catered to a variety of tastes, which was really convenient. The hotel even provided a list of nearby restaurants with estimated travel times. I'd recommend a stay here! When I entered the hotel to check in, I was greeted by two men welcoming guests into the hotel. There was one man at the desk checking in a woman and her two daughters, and I stood in line behind them waiting to be helped. A few minutes later another man walked in and was greeted by the two men at the door; however, this time one of the men walked behind the desk and said he'd be happy to check the newcomer in. Well, what about me? I was standing in line way before him! I decided to let it go because I am not one for causing scenes. Well, a few minutes later it happened again with another new guest - she was also taken before me. Not sure if it was because I look young, wasn't dressed as nicely as these other guests, or was mistaken for one of the woman's daughters, but I should have been helped before the two people who arrived after me. In general, the people at the desk weren't as friendly with me as other (better dressed) guests. I'm a woman in my early 20s and was traveling alone - probably an indicator that I won't spend as much money as older men in business suits or families with children? Also, no free WiFi is a bummer. Things also didn't look as clean as they could have - dusty TV remote, water rings on tables, etc.
The hotel is located very well. It is walking distance to Arlington cemetery or to Georgetown. The hotel is few steps from the subway station Rosslyn. We were very pleased to be available coffee and tea on the room. We recommend very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and helpful staff.
like the location. staff was good. 25 dollars a day to park. I think if you're paying for a stay in the hotel parking should be included.
Location, comfortable bed, helpful staff. No pool.
Close to Metro. Surprised by the $27.00 per night to park. No restaurants nearby on a Sunday evening
We stayed in room 626 and it took many minutes to get hot water in the shower. My wife waited the needed 3-5 minutes. I became impatient and just took a cold shower.
The area was a nice part of D.C., it is right next to the metro which is great. Very nice staff. No continental breakfast, but food price wasn't too shabby. Wish there was a pool.
Had a great experience. Very courteous and prompt staff. I ended up getting a head cold during my stay and they had cold medicine available for purchase so I didn't have to trek out to the local CVS or Walgreens. Would definitely stay again.
going home everything. prices. amenities.
The staff was courteous. The room was small and insufficient. For a price over $200, I would expect at least an in room refrigerator.
Great staff and excellent breakfast and dinner. Great location to walk across to the Tyson mall. The lamp shade had dirty liquid spots I noticed the last day and also, a sock from the assumed last guest was still in the room.
Very clean Very comfortable Very friendly
Everything was awesome. Love the lounge Nothing. Everything on point
It's next to DC, great views, free WIFI, friendly staff, great room service, and really nice clean rooms, can't wait to go back!
Upgraded to a king suite. Loved it. Great view thank you
Free parking, the metro is right across the street so you can get pretty much get anywhere in DC quickly, the rooms were a pretty decent size and very comfy. No microwave, if you end up on the 16th floor....you can hear the restaurant above you. The bathroom was kinda small and the shower was outdated compared to the rest of the room.
I had a spacious room with good views and a couple of terraces to boot. The room was clean and quiet. The price was right. The quality of food in both Potomac Perk and The Vantage Point were poor. The Vantage Point has a nice view though and is a good place to get a drink,
The staff was very helpful and polite. I really enjoyed the fact that we were so close to the metro. The room was kind of grungy. The sink overflowed twice. The bathtub was dirty looking to a point that my one night stay did not qualify for a shower. The hotel is very simple. Nothing special to offer in quality except the staff is superb! The value for the money with the given location was not bad. Also our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of city life and a door that actually opened! That was a definite plus.
Convenient to metro and restaurants Very strong cigarette smoke odor even on nonsmoking floor, and the Vantage Point restaurant was very poor (understaffed, cold food, slow service) for breakfast
Hotel was a great deal. Its not downtown DC, but with the proximity to the metro right across the street it doesnt matter. You can get from the hotel to the National Mall in 15 minutes. Free onsight parking was great. You get what you pay for here. It certainly isnt a 5 star hotel, but it isnt a dump either. Its perfect for a weekend getaway if youre just looking for somewhere to rest your head for the night without too many bells and whistles. Small shower.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff made for a welcoming atmosphere. The bathrooms could stand to be remodeled.
Great location! Right across the street from the Metro Station and an easy wall to Georgetown. Free parking was a plus! $25 check-in charge, no fridge in room as was stated on the website, rooms a bit outdated, no breakfast
Easy walk to Rosslyn Metro even for a 5 and 7 year old-easy access to DC. Pool was small to medium size--fine for young kids (shallowest point is 3.5 feet but quickly deepens to 4 feet). Breakfast is served on top (17th) floor...great view across the river to DC. Refrigerator didn't work (well, the light did, but that's about it) so our breakfast food went bad overnight (yea, I know, I should have double-checked it). However, I contacted the front desk and they comped us free breakfast for a family of 4 without any hassle.
The view and the location for the price was unbeatable. Restaurant upstairs was pretty wonderful as well. We had some problems at checkin. One of the staff members tried to downgrade our room to double beds when we had reserved a king. She did compensate us with a breakfast coupon, however. When we got to the room the view was not as good as she had expressed and the beds were small so we went back down and were taken care of by the shift supervisor who not only let us keep our coupon but also found us a room with a higher floor and a king. I guess what bothered me about this was that it was supposed to be a relaxing get away and it began a little stressful.
Location and view The refrigerator didn't work. I thought I was getting two queen beds but I got two full size beds. The feathers was coming out of the comforters. The fan in the room was so loud it was hard to sleep. No air fan in the bathroom!!! Cable kept freezing up so I couldn't watch TV!!!
Loved the huge rooms with mini fridge. Location was perfect, right by the airport, 10 minutes from museums. Very comfortable stay. The Skydome was incredible. Parking costs at least $30 whether you self park or valet each day. They were also demolishing the hotel next door which looked awful and was loud at times. It wouldn't have deterred me from staying there however.
Area I went to sleep soon as I got there I asked for a wake-up call at 2am when I got up I noticed my leg itching and my arm so i looked around the bed blanket. Everything was dusty the radio, remote control, tables.I knew the room wasn't stayed in a while. Now the bump has gotten bigger I was bitten by a big in thebed. Th
Im certain our sheets were not clean, as there was hair ( not ours ) present. The door that seperates the two rooms looked as if someone threw a cup of coffee at it. There was a hankerchief with bodily fluids on it in the closet. The door on the tv stand fell off the hinges which im sure theyll charge me for woth the surprise $150 that theyre holding from me. The parking garage was full, and the complimentary shuttle does not bring you to the dc atteactions. Which made it difficult with small children.
Room ckeanliness Room ac didn't work then took them 2 hours to change to other room . Room service takes ages.
Comfortable room & bed, clean, great view of DC monuments, great value, 10 min walk to Pentagon City metro. Would prefer rm in which windows open. Like fresh air!
Clean, comfortable, good service, warm cookies on arrival, great lobby, shuttle to airport. No free breakfast, which was a bummer. Parking was very expensive ($30) but I believe that's the rate for the city.
The beauty of it. The comfort. The excellent service. The tasteful decorations. The view. The location. I didn't love wiping the tears of my 8 year old, standing in her bathing suit, as we realized that the pool was (unnecessarily) closed... the hours are ridiculous.
Morning staff was rude beyond belief! I'm still in awe of her attitude. Brown water came out of the shower head leaving black residue on the tub floor. Sheets and pillows had little specks of dark red dots.
Close to trains and Metro After checking in, I was asked to sign a form that said I could be removed from the hotel if I violated certain policies, such a son excessive noise, music, etc. No problem because I was there with my fiancée and we were tourists. For 2 nights we were kept up by the. Dry thing they asked all guests not to do (loud noise late night). After making calls to front desk to complain for two nights, nothing was done. The last night was the worst because we had to get up early to catch flights home, and we got no sleep. Why have a policy if you are not going to enforce it?
The restaurants are great especially Sky Dome. It is a little on the pricey side. My bill was $224 for 6 family members, and two of nieces shared a plate. The food was great, though. The hotel is in front of the pentagon which was great. It is literally 8 minutes from the national mall and capitol hill. The staff was great. You must pay wifi and parking. The cleaning people gave us damp towels every day. The windows to view outside were dirty, so when you took a picture you could see the fingerprints.
The bar and staff were great. We were misinformed about the shuttle had to take the public bus to get there. The hotel did not have our reservation from kayak when we got there, the was enormous cockroach in our room, we got locked inside our room and had to have engineering let us out and our toilet handle broke, so over all not a great experience.
Housekeeping knocking on the door at 9am. Checkout isn't until 12 noon.
Good location and friendly staff clean room
I liked the easy check-in. Checked in onlinel and was asked the expected time of arrival and desired room accomodations. Request for a quiet room was granted!! Upon our arrival, the front desk staff was very professional and helpful. My daughter and I absolutely loved it. Thank you, Maria Ortega Can't say anything negative about my stay.
The room was nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. The ppl in room 236 were extremely RUDE and loud. I banged on the adjoining door around 10 as their phone conversation was very loud. And then sometime after 1am, it was some girl erotically screaming for the next 5 hours!! My 16yr old and 13yr old daughters were with me and it woke up my oldest.
Convenient to Tysons Corner Mall and many restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Pay for parking and Wifi during the week. Breakfast was too pricy. More of a business hotel than a family hotel.
Great deal on the room! No carts to help get your stuff from the car to the room! Crazy..
The bar was nice but very expensive! The staff suck! They charged me for a extra night, I wasn't even in the state! Ripoff!!!!!!
I've stayed multiple times at this location. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is in a great location. I will definitely be back
Remodeled with new furniture. Having to pay for parking. I've stayed here before and never had to pay for parking. Tv remote didn't work.
Extremely comfortable beds. Great showers, including "rain-like" generating shower heads. Dual shower head system. Starbucks coffee in-suite. Limited parking in front of hotel.
Good burger from room service. I requested an ice delivery because there was not a bucket I could find in the room. I had to call back twice and they brought me a bowl of ice which was cumbersome. Also the mini fridge didn't keep things cool and you could not turn the temp down. My room was unfortunately near a room with small children that were very loud very early in the morning.
Room Staff Restaurant for breakfast Exhorbitant parking charge Technological difficulties getting elevator started and opening garage exit gate
Nice lobby bar staff. Location is right near metro so very convenient. Lobby is nice and spacious. There wasn't anywhere to sit outside - no rooftop lounge, courtyard or even outside sitting area. That was frustrating. Wifi was expensive unless you are a starwood preferred guest -- JOIN!
Bed was soooooooo comfortable.
Room, facilities closeness to airport Nothing
The staff was very nice and friendly. The lobby was clean and has a luxurious ambiance. The bed was comfortable. The room was not as nice as the photos would suggest. Large HDTV with mostly non HD channels. Condominium wrapper on the floor of the room. Wifi cost 12.95 unless you enroll in their rewards program. I won't be back.
The bed and pillows are so comfortable and the metro is across the street. Great sleep and easy to get around It was all good
The staff were very professional and helpful. The room was updated and clean and the property was safe and quiet. The ATM was down.
We had an issue with our bathroom shower, but they quickly tried to fix it.
We could see the Metro stop from our room - super close. The air conditioner was not limited and actually got the room cool enough to snuggle under the quality bedding. It didn't clank and groan when it cycled. We slept better that we do at home ( no pets to distract us too). Being from drought stricken Northern California, we really enjoyed the long shower with high pressure and consistent temperature. Shuttle service was great to take us to another hotel where other family members were staying ( they waited to book) as we prepared to have my parents interned at Arlington Cemetery - 3 short Metro stops away. We WILL stay there again!! No CONS - We were on the go, we arrived after midnight and returned late every night so the hotel restaurant was't open like in larger hotels, but they did have a room service menu that provided good healthy food. They gave us a late check out because of a late departure flight. Really NO complaints. We travel A LOT for our 2 businesses (and a retired federal employee) - I wish they were all like this. Excellent Value and excellent super-helpful staff. oh - and internet is not complementary.... that was a surprise.
good location and room clean. Overcharge for parking and Internet.
I made my reservations over almost 2 months in advance for a traditional room with one king sized bed. I arrived at the hotel early so I could fix up the room with rose petals and surprise my fiancé. When I checked in, Daniel at the front desk told me that I would have to settle for 2 queen size beds when that is not what I requested in my reservation. He proceeded to tell me that for the cheap rate I was getting on the hotel through hotels.com, that I should be happy with the room I have for the amount of money I paid! I was insulted, if I requested a king sized bed then that is what I should have gotten, and although I did receive a great deal on hotels.com that should not take away from what I requested! What I had planned for my fiancé was totally ruined because we couldn't even sleep in the same bed because the bed was so small, and I was laying on the edge the entire time ! Very unromantic and disappointing!
The room was very nice and very clean. The staff members were all extremely kind and helpful when we had questions about the metro. There was no pool in the building.
Very professional and friendly staff. Everything was good.
Great facities, with excellent rooms and comfort items The lack of a complimentary breakfast.
The hotel was clean, staff efficient and courteous, the location was convenient to our destination. Very comfortable.
I was well located and they stay was relaxing. Close enough, but far enough away no free internet, couldn´t locate my Marriott info.
Great location and well kept hotel. Staff was very friendly and there was ample complimentary parking. The room could have been equipped with a safe and a mini-fridge.
The staff, rooms, location, view, and everything else was absolutely wonderful. The beds were super comfortable, there was no noise at night, the other guests who stayed there were reserved, the hotel was clean..everything about this hotel is wonderful and I would definitely stay again.
clean, attractive accommodations. free parking. great brunch buffet on weekend. swimming (indoor) pool was cold and an overbearing lifeguard. first night stayed on a floor with dozens of teenagers on a school trip, chaperones in the hall did a reasonable job with noise control but it was not zero.
Great price for last minute booking. Place had a good pool, spa, workout room. It was all sufficient for our needs. The room was just a little small. We had a pack n play for our baby to sleep in so it made it a little cramped but for just one or two people it's perfect. It's not walking distance from anything but safe. The hotel wasn't "wow" but it was just enough and totally worth the inexpensive booking.
The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly, and it was close to our conference. The price was good. This is the 2nd time I've stayed at a Marriott recently and woken up in pain. Apparently my neck can't handle their mattresses and pillows - both of which are dense. Maybe wouldn't be a problem for another person. Also, I found it REALLY strange and inconvenient that this location offered free WiFi ONLY in their lobby. They were happy for me to pay $15 to have it for one night in my room, but I would rather use my cell data at that rate. This would be my #1 complaint. For a "full service" hotel with room service and an in-house bar, it's very strange and awfully greedy to charge for a few hours of WiFi.
Great place to stay. Hotel was beautiful and staff was friendly and very professional. We got a Pure room which had a air purification system in the room which was wonderful. Would go back again.
The Metro was just outside the front door and it made for very easy trips on the metro. The airport is only two stops away and you avoid the hassle of traffic if you don't have too much luggage to carry. I saw several families there so I think it would be a nice place for families too. And of course, the service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Free early check-in. Quiet room. No free wifi. Drab view from room.
Very quiet, no outside noise what so ever despite the location. Nothing that set apart the Ritz from the others, room, furniture, bathroom was very medicore and what you get from any other hotel in the same class.
Everything! Service excellent, great atmosphere and convenient to all local area Nothing,
Nothing. They overbooked the hotel and I was moved to one much further away. I had a very bad experience. I arrived at around 6 PM and was told that due to their renovation, my room was damaged and so I would be moved to a hotel "15 minutes" away. The alternative hotel was 30 minutes away without traffic, and it took an hour in rush hour the next morning to get into DC. Plus, the alternative hotel was less expensive, but they didn't refund the difference. Really disappointed.
Lovedthe room. Nice location. Loved the apple cider and free Starbucks in the lobby. Will stay again.
Very clean and nice room. Great customer service and the staff was very helpful with anything I needed. Would definitely stay there again!
Love the pleasant, professional staff, cleanliness of the hotel from the front door throughout. I will return to Westin Arlington Gateway South Carolina visitor No complaints
Amazing staff, very nice and extremely helpful. Anything I needed they were there to assist. Location had restaurants in walking distance and drive to DC to sight see was mere minutes away. The bar located down stairs was tasteful and quiet. Overall amazing stay.
Great location, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Air conditioner functioned very poorly, workout equipment was outdated, bathroom/shower was outdated. Way too expensive for such an outdated facility.
Pets were allowed ... Not cool!
Staff was very helpful and friendly; liked the fact that hotel is pet friendly - even had a water bowl at the front entrance for pets waiting while cars were unloaded. Square "rainwater" shower looks nice, but gives too little water pressure. Valet parking service wasn't very fast retrieving cars - looked a little understaffed.
The room was great, spacious and clean.
The staff was very professional and my room was veryclean and comfortable! Walls were a little thin and I wish the pool was open longer.
Very clean Awesome staff Valet drove cars a little fast.
Very clean. Quick check in process. The employees were great?
The room was outstanding! Nicer than many 1 bedroom apartments around. Excellent facility. Top notch!
Updated, spacious, and clean. Would stay there again, hands down. The location isn't ideal, but it is close enough to be worth it, particularly at the price we paid.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was a little ways from Washington, but the hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the nearby metro station, so getting around was pretty easy.
Great service at a great price No it was very good
Very home-like atmosphere and excellent, attentive staff Breakfast - omelette station was inundated which resulted in a 45 minute wait. Had this been conveyed, I would have opted for something else. Overall, the breakfast offerings are extremely varied and excellent.

Impressive hotel. Spacious, clean rooms. Everything quite new. Mostly quiet.
Lovely hotel, well appointed & the suite concept felt like we were staying in an apartment. Several nice touches like the fire pit going on a crisp morning during breakfast hours.

The shuttle drivers where caring, charismatic and comforting. There is one who's last name is Abdullah that caters to his riders and make your short trip a ball.
Thanks for the great deal
Due to construction traffic, did not arrive at Dulles until 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning and needed to be at airport for flight to Mexico (via Houston) at 6:00 a.m., so I never checked in. Tried to cancel this reservation and was not successful. Because of this difficulty, I will never use Kayak again. Gloria Tadlock
Great service. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Room was nice.
Loved there room and all of the complimentary items. Really a great place overall. The breakfast was about $20 for a buffet... However it was delicious
The hospitality was great. Friendly staff willing to assist, especially when we had adapter issues. Shuttle bus always on-time.
Location, size of room, amenities Bed sheets were light. Should have included heavier covers.
I liked the comfortable large bed, the room deified media console and the bathroom. The hotel hadn't received my booking information 30 minutes after receiving my confirmation. The desk understood and got us the room we requested.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Good job
Bed and room
Inexpensive The staff is rude. I had a poor experience with a front desk staff Nov 21, 2015. Her name is Julia. The staff has hair over their badges so their name is not revealed. I ask her her name.
Only that it was close to attractions. Everything. Very rude staff. Check in time was 3 but didn't have my room ready until 4:30. Horrible at customer service.
The shuttle service made this hotel very convenient.
I love that this hotel offers a shuttle to DCA and the option to park at the hotel while traveling. We were in a room right on the street and it was very loud all night long!!
Nice hotel, location is awesome as it's very close to DC Room was facing the street. If we opened our window shades, being on the first level anyone would be able to see us which can be uncomfortable and doesn't make for a nice view. The room neighboring us was obviously over the 4 person limit playing loud music, yelling and partying. It took 2 calls to the front desk and 4 hours to get them to quiet down. My husband and I were looking to relax and get some sleep instead we got an unprofessional hotel who lets teenagers party whith no regard to other guests. Never were allowed to speak with management nor were we offered anything to compensate our troubles. Nothing against the hotel itself it's a nice hotel although the rooms lack a fridge/microwave but the staff and management and security here are the real problem.
It was close to everything but quiet and spacious
The view from the room! The food
Free drink and breakfast tickets due to room unavailability. Room wasn't ready at 7pm.
24 dollar extra per day for parking.
I like the proximity to downtown DC as well as Pentagon City where they have plenty of restaurants Wi-fi isn't free and the $13 per 24 hrs is kinda steep.
Convenience to Reagan Airport for price
Location is convenient to Pentagon, Western DC, and good highways within a block. Price - special low rate for the 1 night Dark room, needs updating. Room had 2 double beds, was told by staff that hotel did not have a room with a queen bed which we wanted. Make sure you keep a key after checkout if you need to drive your vehicle out of the attached garage. I didn't and had to go back to the front desk (on an elevator). Check-in was a little slow.
Location Tour buses took over the parking lot
Price was pretty good for DC during spring break. Close to subway. Wireless was extremely slow and intermittent. They felt is was our computer but we had several...they could not all have issues. The room was moldy causing a lot of allergy issues.
Location If you want to sleep past 7am avoid room 221. It's next to the maid's "staging area" ,so starting around 7 there's loud banging around & talking. The walls are quite thin.
Close proximity to the metro. The hotel is not far from the metro, but it is also right off the side of the highway, making it quite loud and a little bit of an eyesore. When I arrived, the staff seemed a bit confused on how to check me in. They allowed us to "check" our bags for the afternoon while we traveled. The pizza place next door seemed enticing at first, but quickly turned us off by the looks of it. Appearance is everything sometimes. Very poorly cleaned room. Hair left in the hair dryer. Shower looked like it had not been cleaned. Overall, poor quality. The room was really warm, despite efforts to turn down the heater. Would not stay here again and would not suggest to a friend. Way overpriced for value.
This Best Western is very run down. There are cracks in the bathroom walls, mold or dirt in between tile. The room didn't smell clean, nor feel it. I would prefer hotels not spray room freshener (which they didn't), however it had a stale smell. The first room we were given was #119, whatever you do, don't take this room, it is next to the laundry room and the noise and banging from the machines is not tolerable- this room should be a storage unit- not fit for humans. ( it is also right under a staircase to the second floor- kids were running up and down alot. Second worst experience at a hotel/motel ever!
stair access only to second building. Terrible set up for the handicapped
Decent room but the no coffee and breakfast doesn't seem like a big deal. Until you're there. Then it's super annoying. There's a Days Inn near here on Pershing Drive, I'd stay there overeating here.
I loved being so close to the metro. I found the room and bed comfortable and adequate. The fridge and microwave made it so we were able to provide most of our own food, which was a plus for us. The prices were the best we could find so close to downtown. You can also easily walk to the Iwo Jima memorial. No elevator anywhere near our room, so you had to carry everything to the second floor (not that atypical in my experience). The pool was a big letdown. It would have been a big perk for our young children. The water was cold; the whole pool room was so foggy in the evening that you couldn't even see across the pool; the shower curtain in the pool changing room was covered in dead gnats, and the ceiling was covered in condensation that dripped on you as you changed.
Hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all my questions. Location was great too for seeing everything in DC. 5 minute walk to the metro subway station and the Iwo jima memorial.
The rooms were reasonably updated, good cable tv options, and the pool was terrific (lifeguard on duty, so I got to swim laps while the kids splashed. . ). Our rooms were actually quiet, everything was clean, and the staff quite helpful. I particulalry enjoyed the fresh coffee in the lobby (though missed having a hearty French Roast for much of the trip). Most of the restaurant choices are a few blocks away, so we got some exercise when tired of Ledo Pizzeria and diner. Wish the pool was open earlier in the day, and it could stand some spiffing up.
The rooms we're clean, it is not too far from the main points of interest-$15 taxi ride or a cheaper metro ride takes about 25 minutes We called the hotel to say that the first person from our group to arrive will not be the one whose name is on the reservation to make sure there is an easy check in, only to find out that the hotel cannot find the reservation even though we received an email confirmation. Saying that there is no reservation at all we we're told to call the booking website, we're places on hold by the hotel for a long time before we finished a sentence, and overall it was really hard to edible this and took us 50 minutes of calls to figure it out and find the reservation.
The room was clean and quite. Close to DC. Friendly staff. Took 30 min for staff to get reservation. No tv remote. No breakfast
Top-notch people. Great room. Only stayed one night, but the hotel had everything we needed, including a fantastic exercise area. 0
Close to the airport. Shuttle goes every 30 min Nothing. Reasonably priced for one night layover in Washington
The room was big enough for a family stay. The shower door couldn't close, and took forever to fix it. When you flushed the toilet, the water splashed everywhere.
Lobby and front entrance is good Room, Refrigerator is not working they replaced but still it didnt work. No expecting this from 4 start hotel.
Satalite tv didnt work. No breakfast. Pool closes too early. Room is hot. No fridge no microwave. No stamps to mail things. Everything was horrible. Tv sucked pool closed to early no free breakfast no kid friendly place to eat. No stamps no fridge no microwave.
Concierge lounge was nice, though the decor is 1970's burn orange. Staff member in lounge was excellent. The gym was very nice. They carried Pepsi products! I like Hilton properties. Not close to public transportation. TV service inconsistent- frequent 'no signal' messages during the 90 min I tried to watch. Very 1970's decor and layout- needs updating.
Very high value Next time we stay in Washington, we will look for a place close to metro
The beds were very comfortable! The executive lounge was nice but should have been available more hours. The shuttle to the airport was convenient. There were no fridges in the rooms which was very inconvenient. The room service menu was very limited. Almost no vegetarian options. And breakfast should be available all day. There was a huge middle school group that refused to share the pool with any other guests all night. Very rude!
Friendly and helpful staff . Free wifi. The construction (fence) by the entrance. Wifi can be slow.
Electronic check in/out. Use of smart phone to unlock room door.
I liked the bed I can't believe a major hotel chain is still charging for internet in 2015.
Rooms quite large, with two TV's, desk and all the convenience for the a business or leisure traveler. I liked the happy hour, with free drinks, and the fresh breakfast in the morning. There is a pool although I did not use it.
Location was good. I requested a wake-up call, but never received it.
Hot cooked breakfast 2 room suites fee for parking
Rooms were spacious, Free Happy Hour, Free Breakfast. Centrally located in Tysons Corner. Overall, it's ok for a few nights. Dated interior. TV went out for 30 minutes but i'll blame the rain.
two room suite. very nice, especially with kids. bathroom was a little small. extra charge for internet access in your room
Free breakfast and afternoon cocktail. The staff were very friendly and did there job well.
Happy hour The staff
clean and comfortable. love that all rooms are suites, love the manager's reception-bartender Ace is the best! And breakfast is delicious and very large for a free morning breakfast-only place I ever stay when in Tyson's corner!
Breakfast The staff mainly the large group lady were terrible. I had 100 guest there for a wedding. They gave my guest a week to get the block which going on Hotels.com was cheaper then their group rate. She told us our guest would have to pay to park which its the weekend which parking is free. We also were told our guest would be able to be picked up after the wedding but that day were told the driver leaves at 1045pm wedding ended at midnight. The staff kept telling us "we will find out and call you" still waiting on all those calls. Been to many other Embassy Suites in other cities and love them but Tyson's Corner location has got to shit!
One of the elevators was out of service and it was a long wait going any where. Also breakfast buffet didn't give all choices advertised for breakfast.
I was thoroughly impressed at the willingness of ALL the staff to pitch-in and help when needed. The Hotel is clearly a Family-Oriented facility, so if you're a young couple looking for a "get-away" or peace & quiet, I wouldn't suggest this place. But as a whole, the value which includes swimming accommodations WITH a Lifeguard, complimentary breakfast & Happy Hour free drinks - you can't beat it!
Other than the location 'for me', everything was a blast... N/A
The pool was so nice to have after a busy day of touring. The food in the pub was very good and extremely reasonably priced. We actually ate there every night. The availability of Starbucks on sight was great. We were able to chose between there and the restaurant for breakfast. The staff was extremely accommodating and we were able to take the shuttle to the metro on a rainy day as well as to church.
our room was clean - comfortable bed - nice shower - our room had two TV's and a pullout sofa bed. i ordered breakfast - 2 items to be taken back to my room for me and my spouse. i received the wrong order - I came back and they were very hospitable - apologized and allowed me to keep the wrong order and offered to make the correct order. Which was very nice of them but the quality of the food was very very poor. I ordered an omelet and sausage gravy & biscuits. The sausage gravy was as if someone used flower and bacon fat to made a sauce and then added bits of meat - it was not good at all. The biscuits so to speak were stale slider buns grilled. Burned actually. I understand that a hotel restaurant is most likely going to charge more but I expect that the quality of the food to be better than what was presented. Also - I found it surprising that in a suite with 2 TVs there was no mini refrigerator. Also - there is a "Starbucks" in the mezzanine level of this hotel. The Starbucks was not very well stocked and I have a dispute on the charges on my card. My order came to $25 and some change. However as I am looking over my online banking charges - it states I was charged $30 and change. I purposely did not tip on my card because I put cash in the tip jar. It appears as though I was charged an additional $5 on top of my order for tip. I am not pleased with the amenities of this hotel and would certainly pay more elsewhere to avoid the things I encountered this past weekend.
Clean, friendly staff, fancy, and free airport shuttle. Liked it better than St. Gregory Hotel.
Close to metro and fashion mall. Canteen was a bit pricey but expected for snacks and drinks.
The linens were clean and overall pleasurable stay Some of decor is very out of date. The ceiling has the stippled look and it feels very 90s. Simple and cheap fix would change the entire ambiance of the rooms
