Cons: --I Do wish there were a few more lounge areas, even just a sofa to have a bit of private time away from persons and still be out. There's a sofa & chairs on the 3rd floor----it'd be nice to have a few more sitting options around.

Pros: I came in early and the staff went out of their way to provide a room for me so I could get cleaned up prior to a wedding that I was attending. Even the next day they wanted to know how the wedding was. Great people run this place.
Pros: Comfortable bed which is important to us. Nice room for the money.
Pros: Clean place with a nice breakfast. The staff was really nice.
Cons: The noise from the freeway seem to be very noisy. I attribute this to the gap on the doors. I think that if some weather stripping were placed there, it would cut the outside noise in half.
Pros: The hotel was clean as a whistle, the bed very comfortable and everything worked great. The breakfast selections were varied and good too. Great stay.
Pros: Close to our golf venues...parking in front of door, easy access in & out
Cons: Ice machine should be in eating/lobby area..
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Accommodates dogs and has a grass area with pick-up bags and seating.
Cons: During my stay the roof was being repaired and the noise started at 8am. Would have liked it quiet for a couple more hours.
Pros: Much nicer than the other places I've stayed in Auburn.

Cons: Staff, rooms, facilities, beds, towels, and linens were all terrible. Would not recommend coming here.
Pros: friendly staff, clean room.
Cons: NO coffee machines in room
Pros: Ceiling in room looked freshly painted
Cons: Smelled everywhere! Comforter had oil type stains. Shower nasty, bed hard.
Pros: Hotel was close to the freeway. Rooms were updated. Starbucks and Denny's across the street.
Cons: Mold growing on the ceiling in bathroom. Phone did not work. Cousins room was missing their smoke detector.
Pros: The place is listed as 2 Stars, but since I knew it was recently remodeled (Summer 2013), I considered the rate I paid a great bargain.
Cons: In the middle of the night there was yelling, threats of violence, slamming doors, and eventually police activity that involved police dogs pursuing suspects. How the guests behave are beyond Motel 6's control, but no effort was made to let the guests know that the threat had passed. It took a while to settle down and get back to sleep after all that commotion. In the morning, the young desk attendant wasn't prepared to address the overnight issue with departing guests. There were uncomfortable moments and awkward silences when I inquired about the frequency of such events.

Pros: Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable. Desk staff responded to my requests. Location was convenient. Onsite laundry mat. Swimming pool looks spacious, but it was the wrong season for swimming.
Cons: The clothes dryer did not work well. I had trouble starting it and I had to dry my clothes through 2 cycles. The computer in the lobby did not access the internet. I asked for assistance from the lady at the desk. She agreed that it did not work.

Cons: Fairly dirty. Pillows were 1/2 pillows. TV remote missing and the one brought from front desk didn't work well or the TV was malfunctioning. Heater smelled like a toaster heating element. Key card machine was broken so you had to go to front desk and wait for someone to let you in your room.
Pros: Free breakfast, clean room
Pros: Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, very clean
Cons: The room faced the freeway and the noise was bad. Also, there were no blankets on the bed. When I went to the front desk to request a blanket they said they were all out and gave me extra sheets instead. It didn't help much.
Pros: The location is the best part about it. It's right off the 80 freeway so it's a quick overnight stop between Lake Tahoe and San Francisco.
Cons: It was absolutely filthy. Our towels were badly stained. Our sheets were stained. The carpet was stained. The bathroom could have used a good wipe down. Maybe we got a fluke room but it was definitely not worth even $80/night.
Cons: I requested a non-smoking room yet people were smoking right outside my room. It was an ashtray outside my door way it was spilling over with cigarette butts in the parking lot was filled with cigarette butts and obviously had not been cleaned up for weeks and weeks. My room smells very fresh smoke

Pros: Very great Location! The Staff are wonderful & very friendly!
Cons: Needs to be upgraded ! Beds are not very comfortable-hard as a rock! Grounds need a lot of work!
Pros: The Manager was a nice guy!
Cons: The place was literally falling apart, T.V didn't work, Shower barely put out water floors were vacuumed but filthy, Definitely a last resort?
Pros: Comfortable bed. Large room.
Cons: Small, unlit shower with a low flow shower head. Poor WiFi connection. No coffee availability in the room.
Pros: Staff where very friendly. Quite location. Facility was clean.
Cons: Place needs modernation.bathroom fan sounds like a jet engine, banister to up stairs needs fixing ,very loose. Next time I would stay down stairs.
Pros: None of the above terms describes the motel. That being said, the bed was fairly comfortable.
Cons: The location was right next to the highway. The facilities were outdated. The ice machine was broken. The free breakfast was minimal at best. The bath soap was tiny. The towels were so old and small that they were like sandpaper. We didn't feel safe because the bathroom window wouldn't lock. The staff was indifferent. We were unhappy with the experience altogether. Either the owner was cheap, the management was lazy or both.
Enjoy your visit to Grass Valley with a stay at Golden Chain Motel. Guests can enjoy the seasonal outdoor pool, along with onsite mini golf. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: They will charge you extra money for your pets even though it is not listed on the kayak site anywhere on the return email they send you or on their personal Hotel website they are thieves they robbed me and I will continue to demean their name until they give me my money back
Pros: The hotel is next to highway so commute was very convenient.
Cons: I booked for a room with two Queen side beds and I did get it -- only problem was that the room was not cleaned. We had to swap for another room with two double beds. The new room was cleaned for sure, but the general condition was not beat down. There was a microwave and a small refrig which made noise all night.
The breakfast was minimal. My kids got one yogurt.
All in all this is an 1-star experience.
Pros: Great location, very clean.
Pros: Easy parking, quiet corner room, had a table and 2 chairs.
Cons: Airconditioning was directed right on the bed. Only 2 pillows on a kingsize bed.
Noise from freeway.

Enjoy your visit to Grass Valley with a stay at Stagecoach Motel. You'll have free perks like WiFi and self parking.
Cons: Non smoking room smelled like cigarettes, and loud marijuana party with 10 people next door! We had to sleep in the car. It was horrible.
Cons: No lock on bathroom window. Heating of room was extremely slow with electric baseboard vs. cinder block walls. Shady people hanging around outside. Crazy man screaming in the middle of the night in hallway, taken away by police in the morning.
Great option over the other hotel near by. Very basic, overall clean. The fixtures, deco, and bedding were very dated. Nice patio table supplied for relaxation if you want to enjoy the outdoor views or you are a smoker.
Pros: Hotel was basic
Wotst I've ever been to.
Cons: I'm pretty sure it violated a lot of fire code and the mold on the bathroom ceiling wasn't very pleasant. And for----/night?
Pros: This place was very minimal. Overall no complaints. The girl who was working the front desk was very nice and helpful. If you just need a place to rest your head, this will do.
Pros: Location, price, room amenities (more TV channels than 5-star hotels).
Cons: Totally out of date; water pressure too much.
