9.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great Ibis located perfectly to visit Meknes. It is located by McDonalds which tells you how good the siting is. Parking was easy and protected. While the structure is older it has a phenomenal swimming pool and patio area. The bed was comfortable with plenty of hot water and good wifi. Breakfast was what is expected for Morocco.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The cleanliness of the bathroom.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly reception. Nice surroundings and decor. Good food.
Cons: No tea, coffee or water in the room. A/c didnt work and the man said he would come back and check it but didnt. Loud music from the night club until 12am. Overall not good
1.0 Poor
Pros: The bar staff.
Cons: I requested a room in the old section since according to the reviews the new one was dull. I didn't get what I requested in advance. The bathrooms in the NEW section were nasty and outdated. The furniture was calling the 60s. The towels weren't enough for one person let alone 2. My assistant arrived the same day I asked for a 2nd room I was told the hotel was full by the morning staff, but when the night staff came in they told me they had a lot of rooms available. The WIFI doesnt work in the entire property. When we arrived the staff were still cleaning our room when we got there. I won't be staying there again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent. It was built in the 1920s so we were not expecting it to be uber luxurious, the staff were extremely friendly, after the first day at breakfast our waiter memorized how everyone in our group liked their eggs / breakfast!
Cons: You can see that the hotel obviously has an issue with their maintenance team. I mean I hope there is no maintenance team because if there is one they aren't doing great. We booked 4 rooms and each one had a small problem like the electronic safe wasnt working, the mini-fridge wasnt working, the shower was leaky etc. The good thing was that these problems seemed to be distributed evenly among the rooms. Overall we were very happy with our stay!
7.9 Good
Pros: The View from the hotel .
Cons: None
7.5 Good
Pros: This is a grand old lady of a hotel, situated in magnificent gardens and beautifully decorated inside in Moroccan style mosaics and lounges. There is a very pleasant bistro in the grounds which, despite being abysmally lit, has excellent food and staff
Cons: Little things annoyed without distracting from the opulence - no directory in the room (impossible to call room service) unpredictable equipment (meknes is chilly at night and the heating was random) confusion over when or if the restaurant was open at night

Pros: - Good location in Meknes. You don't do anything wrong if you're just passing through for one night. - Very friendly reception. - In Riad's own restaurant you can eat very well and the portions are huge. - We got an upgrade for a luxus suite!

Cons: The people were a little bit closed in conversation and they only communicated on French.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautifully renovated Riad in excellent location near to the Medina and Royal Palace.
Cons: Sorry to say, but breakfast was rather mediocre. Good coffee from Nespresso machine will cost you some 25 MAD extra per cup, which for that rate one would rather expect to be included.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived in low season and were offered a free upgrade, as well as later check out after the trip to Volubilis which we arranged through the riad. The location is amazing and the rooftop terrace very nice too!
Cons: Water in the shower takes long to warm up, dining area is quite dark, breakfast was a notch more basic than what we had elsewhere in Morocco

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Beautifully decorated Riad. Owner is very nice man. Great location.
Cons: Everything was good. Nothing to complain about.
6.0 Good
Pros: The Dar itself is in a great location in the Medina and easy to from the main road. It was stunning. Beautifully decorated with all sorts of really tasteful arts and antiques and a good collection of plants in the courtyard. Lots of books and magazines (in French) on Morocco, Meknes etc, around the place. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The room we stayed in for two if the three nights - the triple with en suite bathroom, was comfortable - spacious and nicely decorated with attractive decor and furniture, art and artifacts. It had a large window which opened out over the courtyard. The bed was firm but comfortable. We slept well. The heating worked well,, which was good as we were there in December and the rest of the Dar was quite cold. The manager was a nice guy who did his best to keep us happy, but he seemed very disorganised. Even the room we'd had booked was not ready for us when we arrived. However, he could only work with what he had, which was sadly lacking on several fronts - not his fault.
Cons: Disorganised. Initially put in wrong room, which was a lot better than the one we booked, then made to move out into the room with mountain view - not a good room - to allow a family to have the better room. However, we were allowed to move back into the nice room the following day, which was appreciated. As we stayed in two different rooms I will comment on each, as there was a marked contrast. The mountain room seemed like the punishment room! It was up on the roof, not even inside the main building and seemed rather neglected and sorry for itself. The decor needed attention, especially in the bathroom where there was peeling paint on the walls and a bad smell from the drain. Some of the sockets and lamps weren't working. The curtains were barely hanging on by a couple of hooks. The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets were thin and discoloured, as were the towels. The other room - though better - would still benefit from new bed linen and towels and getting the shower head cradle fixed. We had to hold the shower head as there was no way of attaching it to the wall. Some of the lights didn't work. Breakfast was disappointing. Not even any orange juice and the coffee, which was apparently rationed, was barely warm. We got the impression that, although a lot of money and effort had gone into decorating the place and filling it with beautiful arts and antiquities, the budget for guest amenities was somewhat tight! If a little more care and money was spent on basic things like linen, bathroom fittings, light bulbs/electrical fittings and breakfast, this property could charge a little bit more and would get an excellent rating. As it was, we didn't think it great value for money.

Pros: The terrace was extensive and inviting. The staff was attentive and very helpful. A strong shout out to Khalid for all his great service. Thanks for doing the heavy bag lifting, Khalid and getting us to the taxi in time for our train.

Pros: My stay here was absolutely perfect! My room was spacious, beautiful and very clean. The staff here went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The owner even had his friend escort me to and from a nice restaurant for dinner when I first arrived so I would not get lost. He also had a lot of helpful advice about how to do an affordable day trip to Volubilis. The breakfast was simple and delicious, an assortment of local breads, jams and tea and coffee.. all served with a smile. Highly recommend this place!
Cons: Everything was perfect, not a single complaint :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The decor of the hall and rooms was nice. It was spacious and pretty comfortable. While there wasn’t an electric kettle, we were able to get hot water by asking the owner for it. The owner himself also came across as a genuine person who was hospitable. The shower was good and hot water available for shower not running out. The neighborhood was calm and not dodgy. Despite missing the place out by about ten to twenty metres , and not being able to find the place upon arrival, the locals in the area helped genuinely without expecting tips. Bedding was ample.
Cons: The odor in the WC lingers for a good period of time after someone uses it. The large table in the room was obstructing wardrobe access but the room was large so we could just place our clothing all over.

Pros: I came early because I just arrived and got off from a night bus.But its very kind of the staff Zararia to let me check in earlier so I can have a good rest. He always smile ,and is very helpful.I will remember him.And the room is very spacious and clean.I have a wonderful stay in this hotel.highly recommended.

Pros: Very elegant maison in a perfect traditional style. The location is exceptional - easy to find, only 3 min from Bab Mansur. The staff is very professional and also very kind. it has been very touching to see the pictures of the restoration of the place. They testify that the owners kept original features of the Riad.

Pros: Beautifully decorated. Perfect position overlooking the square and on the edge of the Medina. Secure parking across the road
5.0 Okay
Pros: Riad has pretty decor and they helped arrange taxi to volubolis.
Cons: It's very noisy location! Did not get any sleep while there. I would not recommend this place if wanting to sleep. The noise from the nearby medina is just too much. Dtaff is nice and room visually nice but again, just too noisy of a place.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: So much character to the place. I think we had the best rooms which were spacious and stylish - but we poked our heads round the doors of the smaller rooms and they were still large. We stayed in one night, bought in snacks and played games in the lounge area of our room - the staff saw we had bought wine and gin, so brought us some glasses and ice. We had a good time in Meknes and I'm sure a large part of that was having a lovely place to stay.
Cons: Not much! I guess the locks on the bedroom doors are a little tricky as they looked like the original doors - but easy enough to operate once you mastered them.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hosts. Very attentive and even did some laundry for us. Beautiful decor. Very close to the Place el-Hedim where we ate most of the time and enjoyed the entertainment. Would highly recommend this riad.
Cons: Not a complaint but just a suggestion - a bedside lamp would have been greatly appreciated
