Central location, easy to reach, quiet, clean, friendly staff, garage available Still constructions around/in front of the hotel. Not clearly labeled, rather a small label above the parking entrance. I presume, these items will be fixed soon.
Thé location in thé center of thé vit, its parking, the nice appartment Nothing
Quality of room. Cost effectiveness and the fact that pets are allowed there.
Our room for 4 people was clean, modern, and spacious.
it is situated nearby all main places of interest to diminish very specific smell in the hotel
Our room wasn't ready, so we were given a free upgrade... Very accomadating! The staff was VERY friendly and helpful, which was not the feedback I saw on most existing reviews.
it is a very practical design of the 3 pax bedroom. Comfortable and modern and well equipped of everything. it will be good to have a signage on the main road to guide to the entrance of the hotel.
Definite advantage having the option of self-catering - very well equipped kitchenette. Hotel room was of a good size with comfy bed and beautiful en suite. The front of hotel is in a predestrianised zone, so when arriving by car the hotel was difficult to locate. Also their carpark is not immediately obvious, but this could be due to building work.
Location of the hotel is excellent, few minutes walk from the city centre. Staff was very friendly and welcoming - no issues with them whatsoever. I would totally recommend this hotel and I will try to book Adagio from now on, whenever possible. Our room was leaking heat like crazy - not sure if this was specific to our room (top-most floor), the top-most floor as such or all the rooms. There was also a dust cover on the floor around the bed, which should not be there.
The location and the parking. Our room was not very comfortable. We were in a studio on the basment floor (room 6 I think). We were two adults and a baby and the room was quite claustrophobic as the window couldnt be opened and it didn't provide any view. Furnishings were cheap and stark in appearance and the sofa was very uncomfortable. We ended up just leaving the bed pulled down as it was more comfortable than the sofa. Room could have been cleaner. There were dirty tissues behind the bed and the mirror was marked with what looked like paw prints. I would stay here again but not on the ground floor. I'd book a more expensive apartment if staying here again.
Location, modern, design, clean, comfort, price, staff. Everything was very good. I have no negative remarks to do. Strongly recommended.
The new rooms are nice. The destination near to the old town ist brilliant.
Privilodges Le Royal - Apparthotel in Annecy is the perfect place to stay. It is very affordable and has neat clean apartments. The staff is most helpful and efficient, there is a nice fitness room, and the location in the old town is ideal. no
The quality of the service
This is a great hotel if travelling with children - the apartement style with 2nd bedroom and kitchen facilities are fab. The photos/description don't do it justice as the room are a lot more comfortable and cosy and the bathrooms more modern than they look. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were lots of lovely pattisseries close by. The location is great, overlooking a small square/playpark, within easy reach of the old town and lake.
good location with parking lots and convenient studio with kitchen facilities.
The proximity to the old town area The suite we booked had self catering facilities but did not include a basic welcome pack which ment that we did not use them
Central location was good. 5 minutes from train station and 5minutes to lake. In the heart of the old town-so easy to get around.
Liked having cooking and refrigeration facilities in own room. Also access to laundry facilities and free internet access
The quietness and privacy greeting staff could be friendlier
hotel location and atmosphere is excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly
The staff was very attentative, warm and friendly. The hotel setting far exceeded by expectations. The fact that some of the staff spoke english was very helpful. The view from our room was spectacular. I thought the room furniture didn't fit the upscale feeling and price of the hotel although the bathrooms were wonderfully modern.
the arie and nice and quiet
Stunning location and building. Received complimentary upgrade to lake view room.
Very agreeable staff, fabulous location, good lakeside facilities and outside breakfast/dining. Absence of air con a real problem as it was hot when we went. Also absence of lift a particular problem for my wife, who has restricted mobility. We asked for ground floor when booking, but were told on arrival no ground floor rooms exist. The room we booked was too small, without bath, so we had to upgrade at our expense, although we were given a special rate when I asked. We did not like the fact the hotel was crowded with visitors to exhibitions in the public areas, and a wedding caused the restaurant to be closed without notice on one evening.
The location on Lake Annecy is beautiful. The staff is accommodating and the food is excellent.
Staying in a really old place - it was great
Location; food; staff efficiency and hospitality only French TV channels available; no elevator
The abbey provides a unique travel experience and its location is both picturesque and easily accessible. The hotel staff is very professional and accomodating. The website and photos accurately depicted the hotel, the rooms and the surrounding area.
good breakfast misleading info both on the website and in your booklet re distance from lake Annecy. It is not 5mins on foot more like 45mins-same applies to distance on foot to train station-at least 20 mins.
The hotel is clean and functional. About a 15 minute walk into the centre of Annesy with kinds. Good value for money Late check in 16h00
Convenience of being within walking distance of town centre No evening meal available on Sunday night
extra excellent bed realy a wonderfull nights sleep posistion
it was relatively quiet for a downtown location and the convenience of breakfast being offered on site was good for our type of trip. Gave us a good start to the day. Nothing really. For the price, it is what was expected.
the equipments like microwave. It's very convenient. And the Beds are also very comfortable no
good clean accomodation, not far from centre of Annecy
Excellent new hotel, conventient quiet location, very courteous and helpful staff, nice room design, good breakfast.
Large room No Restaurant, despite sign outside saying there was! No parking (except for small cars and a €7 per night fee). All the water was hot, even in the toilet cistern!
Reception is open 24h a day. Very small room even for France. Pretty expensive for such room and parking is not free too.
The price. The recpetion people are friendly and helpful. While the hotel is not near the main road, still loud noise from main road is still heard very clearly. The distance from hotel to Annecy center takes 10 mins by car.
little bit irratating noise from next room, not cleaned.
absolutely nothing...to forget it... everything indeed everything...
Lady of the reception was very friendly. Room to small, bed much to small and not comfortable. Bathroom was also verry small. Breakfast was very poor, for paying Eu 5,-!
Welcoming staff, parking gates closed at night with secure access.Very quiet. Towels could be more plentiful - if used in the evening they are still wet in the following morning. No Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. No food available at any time except breakfast - next nearest facility some distance away.
Good quality for its price. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
freedom and no problems no
The proximity from Annecy The bathroom was small .... so small ....
The consistency of all hotels so that there were no nasty surprises. The one hotel we did not like was because the bathroom sink was not clean, there was no shower curtain and the towels were the size of a bath mat. I had to ask for three towels.
Nothing Dirty, small, bad stairs, noisy, bad bathroom.
The hotel is in a nice location near lots of stores and restaurants. We had a nice view from our room. There was not much space in the room to move around. The bed took up nearly the entire room.
Excellent, welcoming staff, good location on a canal, nice breakfast area Rooms a bit sparce, but clean and excellent value
great welcome, very helpful, good location near the old town decor a bit dated but very French
The managers and other staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - the hotel felt like a family-run business. The location in the centre of town was excellent. The hotel was very hard to find - took us nearly 2 hours of driving about. The bathroom is a teeny bit too small.
Super helpful staff
The ceiling fan was help up by only one precarious screw. I dare not imagine what it would do to us if we switched it on and it dropped on us while we were sleeping or just being in the room for that matter. Staff could have been friendlier.
The location was excellent. The staff were very helpful. It was quite basic but clean and had all necessary facilities.
Very central to the old part of annecy, ideal to walk to resturants and the canals The showers had to be hand held and the "curtains" didnt cover the windows
Great central location with great views over Annecy. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Also I stayed in 2 other hotels in Annecy but this hotel was the best value. The hotel is in need of a makeover although it did not spoil my stay. It is a bit shabby around the edges but it is a cheap price for Annecy and has alot of charm.
It was in an excellent location, quiet at night and a very short walk to the rest of town. The room was basic but perfect for someone who just needs to crash before a flight the next day. The lock on the door - have to use the key to lock yourself in, hope there isn't a fire, it might take a minute to get out.
Quiet and friendly
Very nice couple runs the place. Clean & crisp linens. Great breakfast for 9 Euros. Lovely view of the Chateau. Two minute walk into Old Town. Perhaps rugs might be helpful. Person above me walked around a lot!
Good value, convenient position, friendly an dhelpful staff Bit difficult to find due to roadworks etc temp problem
Pleasant staff, central location close to the castle and old town, and good value for money. Tip - there is no hairdryer in the room but one can be provided if you ask at reception. This is NOT a criticism of the hotel but I would not recommend it for anyone with mobility problems as the hotel can only be reached via a steep slope or a lot of of steps.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The position of the Hotel was perfect for sightseeing. We did not like the fact that the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was broken and only produced very hot or very cold water
Well located by the lake, near the old town centre and restaurants. Comfortable bed. Clean. Very nice people. Good level at the right price. In high season the shortage of parking could be a problem.
This was a lovely hotel and a beautiful spot. We had a lovely view from our bedroom window. We only had 2 nights there wished we could have stopped longer. The staff were very helpful . We had free car parking and enjoyable continental breakfast. Only a short distance to the town of Annecy and the canal and restaurants.
Secure car park, efficient entry and exit, nice relaxing room, efficient cleaning service. Bit too far to walk to town centre. No air conditioning.
Nice room, closed parking, good breakfast, good service. Excellent value for money! -
Parking, staff and facilities are excellent Rooms are well equipped, but small
Pleasant, quiet comfortable appartment, reasonably well designed. Secure parking. Didn't realise it had a bed settee but it was quite comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Further out of Annecy than described originally on the website. Little storage space for food and no kettle [coffee maker and expresso cups instead]. Very expensive if you break something, we were charged 16 euro for a little coffee pot. Not many facilities within walking distance.
Very clean well laid out room and 24 hour ease of access.
Excellent view of the lake from our balcony. Disappointed with the menu therefore did not eat at the hotel, rather over priced restaurant. The room could do with refurbishment/modernising.
Very nice and eager to please hotel staff. Great location. Prices during high season are way too high, in the low season they're ok. No complaints about the hotel, but about booking.com. I made a reservation for a large double room on the forest side and in the reservation it stated that the room had a terrace, while there's no such room on the forest side with a terrace. It would be good if you'd update this information on the site.
our room and the view Despite the view and the room and good food, the place had no atmosphere and it was difficult to find anyone around. In short, no atmosphere and not terribly friendly.
only the view of the lake nearby dirty room, noise from the main street near the hotel in web page named as "forest side", staff, prices in the restaurant...
Huge room, friendly staff. Fantastic location directly by the lake. Very good wine list in the restaurant. Breakfast was poor given the cost (17 Euro). Specifically, the fruit juice was not fresh, there was no healthy cereal, and when I asked for an espresso they gave me instant coffee.
Very good location on Lake Annecy, ideal for sightseeing and access to Ski resports. Very clean and pleasant hotel. Cost of drinks in the Bar and restaurant very high, I was charged 18 Euro's for a Jack Daniels and Coke (at current exchange rates nearly £18!!). As we stayed over the weekend the restaurant was closed on Sundays so had to eat in the town anyway.
Best location, superb food (!), parking place in front of hotel. old fashioned rooms but ok.
Good restaurant menu and food with fair prices. Simple but comfortable room. Adequate parking space although not locked at night. Nothing a problem.
Quite comfortable bed. Very adaquate air conditioning. An easy car drive to the town center.
very efficient registration. We arrived on Sunday and fortunately could eat at the Camapnile restaurant - good value for money
The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The apartment was beautifully situated with balconies on both sides of the building overlooking the lake and the mountains. The apartment had everything you needed and it was clean and bright. The only thing the apartment lacked was a comfy seating area to relax in. The sofa bed that was in the living area was a bit uncomfortable and not adequate for four adults. But thats a minor criticism to what was an excellent hotel.
Hospitality and friendliness of owners, location, decor, comfort, surroundings beautiful, views wonderful. None whatsoever
excellent value for money for families with thier apartment concept. location and surrounding areas are stunningly beautiful. no.
Owner gave us an upgraded room upon arrival. Hotel has excellent value for money. Close to Annecy. Very nice mountain view from restaurant and rooms. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Minor point: heating didn't work very well.
good location, good parking, nice english speaking owners, great view 5 minutes up the hill, lake annecy is beautiful and so is the north side of the lake. room was small, plain white, no decoration, I was expecting a refrigerator and there was not one. but I still recommend this hotel, lake annecy is expensive and this place was reasonable.
The owners were delightful people and very accommodating:
Quiet and private. Adequate facilities. Clean. Very convenient for the main route around Lake Annecy. Within walking distance of small village with shops and restaurants. Very friendly hosts. Light salads and crepes served during the evening. Air Con could have been cooler and quieter. Beds were narrow and not that comfortable. Towels and bed linen had seen better days.
The lake/mountains view and the swimming pool. Oh, yes, aplenty: lack of comfort - small room/bathroom, no aircon (worse if room under the roof); unprofessional, immature staff, unable to answer simple questions about the place but suggesting we should go to the tourist information office downtown instead! One morning breakfast service was appalling, but the hotel manager was 'unavailable' (en rendez-vous) to take comments directly and never replied to our complaints. Hotel restaurant was rather pricey for a family with children, hence the need to sample the restaurants downtown; plenty of choices there but the return to the hotel problematic in the dark. Romantically involved couples of all ages may find this place attractive for a night or two but a longer stay is not justified.
A lovely hotel in a supurb setting. The restaurant was too expensive and closed on Sunday! The brasserie was not open at all!! No English channels on T.V.
fabulous views from the pool noise from the staff quarters in the early hours. difficult to to get into town due to lack of taxis. Expensive food
Good access, free parking, wi-fi, good but very expensive breakfast. Rooms were small for the price and our room was under very noisy stairway. When I complained next morning I was changed to another somewhat less noisy under another stairway. Staff did their best but basically they are stuck with the small, noisy (but well equiped) rooms. No English language TV was available in the room yet CNN was available in breakfast room- I was told they were in middle of changing to a new service and nothing could be done and no credit was offered.
The setting was fantastic and the facilities were very good. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little small for the price and the hotel bar prices were prohibitive and double the cost of lakeside cafes/resturants in Annecy which is only a short walk away. (9 euros for an orange juice !)
Its location The service and the food in the main restaurant was very poor and the head waiter ignored our complaints
The hotel is lovely - quite a business hotel though and the breakfast and food quite pricey when paying your own way. Not ideal for families because of this. Location good - you can walk down to the lake and town in about 15 minutes and the view is fab.
pillows, bathroom, robes, view, inside space itself (i.e. dining and sitting areas - I could imagine having a wedding there), staff (friendly, helpful, and excellent English), dvd player room smelled bad, farther away than indicated on map - quite a hike
Proximity of the hotel to the old town. Hotel was expensive. Room was very small. Shower not up to date and bathroom could do with an update. Spa was not as good as the photos made out
in fact there is not any thing i like it in the hotel. in fact it is too bad with not any facilities at all. this is the worst hotel i had stayed .u can pay more 20 euroes for a very good hotel .
The hotel was fine and well-located. However, we had a very difficult time finding it as the streets have been changed to one-way and many bricked over for pedestrians. We spend 40 mins. trying to get there. We just didn't realize that the streets would have been so changed since we were there 6 years ago.
The bed No
Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Good central location
If we come back to Annecy we would stay here. Nice staff, quiet hotel, close to the sncf. Un grand merci
That the windows could be opened. No fridge. No instructions that the lights had to be switched on to use a power point.
Friendly and helpful receptionist
Hotel in good position near to centre, room clean and bathroom ok cleaned every day breakfast worth the money plenty to choose from, staff helpful. The only bad point it did not have a bar but apart from that no other bad points
Friendly staff, good size room, good breakfast
Free parking, airconditioned room, comfortable beds Bathroom needs renovation
The badroom , T.V. and airco and de very good bed
Close to city center and highways exit The absence of lift to access the rooms
Convenient location, nice room
Very friendly staff, overall good hotel
near by the train station, only need to walk for 5 mins from the station. And basically comfortable. meet an unfriendly ,bad English staff at 23 o'clock the day I arrived.
The position was very good, only a short walk to the lake and canals. The position of the hotel was directly above the railway, and although on the fourth floor you could hear the railway, but not enough to complain about, the fact that you could only get to the hotel from one direction was also a little annoying.
Clean and comfortable hotel, at convenient distance from train station and Annecy's commercial area.
The hotel is close to the old city center (walk distance), great breakfast, bedroom spacious and comfortable.
It is close to the train station. The security is fine. The pillows are not clean enough.
I have a very unpleasant surprise when I came back at home :they deducted from my credit card a surcharge amount of 50 Euro without any explanation. When I asked them by mail I recevied a very cold explanation that is a guarantee and they make up a copy of my card.I am sure that it was normal to explain me at check-in if is necessary a guarantee
Good breakfast. Clean. Helpful staff. 3 people in room but faclities only for 2. Poor direction to find hotel.
proximity to centre of town. Also, restaurant facilities were very useful as it was pouring with rain in the evening when we were to go out for dinner, so we just stayed and dined in the hotel Only slight problem was all the works going on around the hotel. Access was difficult. I know this is only a temporary problem but perhaps a space to offload cases and children whilst going to search for a car park space would be good.
Kind staffs. Quiet environment. Dirty bed spread. No shower curtain in the bath tub. All water taps were leaking in the bathroom.
We were not here for very long as we were on our way back to UK. and went into town to eat. We had to ask to move room as the shutter on the outer window was broken
All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, although basic, were clean and comfortable. We had two good evening meals.
Location of the hotel was excellent. Room were clean and serviced daily. Breakfast wasn't worth to have. It was pricy and not in expected quality. Car park was always full. I had to park on street.
Restaurant not open on saturday night when we arrived. Inadequate and secure parking facilies
In particular the friendliness and helpfulness of the family and staff who run the hotel. They were always obliging and made you feel welcome. Would have liked facilities for making tea and coffee in our room. The hotel is about a mile from the centre of the town and you need a car -however there is a very regular bus service although the last bus is at 8;00pm
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel has clearly seen better days and needs work done on it. The restaurant was only available if we ate early. We returned from a day in the mountains watching the Tour de France, in need of showers etc and were told we had to eat immediately if we wanted service. Not idea!
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We had two rooms as we had an elderly aunt with us, and the staff ensured she had a room adjacent and were very happy to take her meals up to her etc
Inexpensive for this pricey region. Free parking. No frills - a place to rest our tired heads. We didn't use the restaurant but looked ok to me. Slightly out of town, but again this is a budget hotel and it's not that far.
Only a 2 minute drive to the lake and the staff were very friendly.
Staff were excellent and very keen to help. Hotel was very new and beautifully maintained. Lovely views. Delicious breakfast.
Very friendly service in a very clean and comfortable hotel.
Easy going, easy access, clean, quiet, nice environment, pleasant owners. I just think the breakfast should be included in the room price.
staff was very helpfull...location of the hotel is better than the others at the city-center. Silent but close to everywhere..the rooms are well designed. We stayed at the second floor on the lake side... although it was stated tahat the otel is close to the lake; in reality it was not.
The hotel owners were just lovely. They were friendly, helpful, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. They also spoke English which was an added bonus! The location is brilliant, in between a couple of villages, both of which have great lake beaches and all the facilities that they offer. We were also by the Col de Forclaz so lots of energetic cyclists around! The breakfast was delicious and generally we had a great time at the hotel.
Comfort, very quite, nice weather, good for cycling and swimming. Best way to stay a couple of days to relax and get out of stress :-) Nothing special
a good bed and a good breakfast service of the bar
The staff were absolutely fantastic, I had a big problem with my motorcycle breaking down on Bastille day, and they did everything they possibly could to help us, despite having already checked out.
Clean and not so expensive, perfect for a weekend Is not in the best area of the city.
Location in Annecy based on the rate Room quite small
Helpfulness of the staff particularly Victor who went out of his way to help us. The facilities are looking a bit tired.
Clean and comfortable. Air conditioning is too strong, even when it is off cold air keeps coming. Why while booking price was 79 euros and after checkout it was 81, though I didn't use any additional services? It's not much, but stil...
close to the station. easy to find. terrible access to the Internet even in the robby.
very good service for the money requested. Clen room with good equippement. 5 minutes from realway and bus station and 8 minutes from city center
Room and breakfast was as expected. Overall it was clean and comfortable. Amenities in room were lacking but expected. A lady working at the breakfast hall from Cambodia was so nice and helpful with suggesting activities to do in the area. Overall experience was good. At checkout though something odd did occur. The gentlemen attending me said to have given me the correct change, 42 eur. He showed me a 20 eur and 2 10 eur and 2 eur. All was rushed and he only gave me 22 back instead of 42 eur. It took me a few minutes while I was still in the lobby to figure it out. Then I approached and said I think he didn't give me correct change. At first he brushed it off since there were more clients. I waited for them to finish to not be a pest. Then I asked again and asked to check paperwork in case it fell. No luck. Then I asked to check cameras and that I was willing to wait for security. He quickly agreed to give me the 20 eur. Not sure if he was just nice or realized he didn't give it to me. But I felt like I was scammed but all ended well. I don't want to judge his character without proof but all was odd. i wouldn't let this stop anyone from booking. The experience overall was good. Just a precaution.
it was well placed
