Exceptional Customer Service
We were so happy with our stay at The Westin in Minneapolis! We arrived at the hotel early on the morning of our stay, and the hotel sent us a text when we were on our way and promptly made sure a room was ready for us (hours before check-in!) and also sent us instructions on parking options in the area. We also got an upgraded room, which we weren’t expecting. The lobby area is extremely comfortable, with a lot of various seating options, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We’d love to stay here again!
Great hotel choice for downtown Minneapolis!
Convenient location, right next to the light rail makes it easy to get to and from airport, mall of America. Right downtown near the stadiums and great restaurants.
Near every fun thing I N downtown Mpls.
TV and lights didn't work
Comfortable bed and clean room
The TV and most of the lights didn't work. I called the front desk twice and both times they said they were sending a tech to fix it. No one showed up. I then walked down to the front desk and asked, they said there were sending someone up. No one every showed up. Had to watch football game at the bar.
Clean, quiet and comfortable hotel.
Expensive to park, if you are driving.
The lobby and restaurant are in a beautiful old bank building that has been restored. The rooms are modern and clean.
I just loved this hotel it is close to everything. A convenient walk from the light rail and Nicollet mall
Very Convenient to Downtown Activities
We were in town to attend a Twins baseball game, so this was a perfect location to walk to the ballpark. It's also close to a lot of great restaurants and other downtown activities.
We came back to the hotel for nightcap and the bar had already closed down. Other than leaving the property, we didn't have another option. It wasn't even midnight on a Thursday night. Seemed odd for a downtown hotel.
I'm surprised they didn't charge for breathing the
The room was decent and clean. Fairly close to downtown Minneapolis attractions.
$200 extra held upon check-in for "incidentals". Parking is extra $. Fees upon fees upon fees for everything you can think of. Don't even bother with room service.
Staff was friendly. Bar staff was fun. Convenient location.
The cost if the hotel was great until you realize that parking is not included. Valet is $40+. Most offer thato with no extra cost or a much smaller fee. Parked on my own to avoid that, and it was still $20 overnight fee.
Set in the Farmers & Mechanics Bank building that was built in 1941, the Westin Minneapolis opened in 2007 making it a national historic landmark. The Westin features the original 34-foot vaulted bank lobby, marble staircase and wood-carved emblems signifying the leading industries of the World War II era. The 6,400-square-foot walnut-paneled lobby is home to the 200-seat B.A.N.K. restaurant. Seats near the wood-and-granite teller’s counter look into the open kitchen and the original chandeliers remain. The American cuisine features a wholesome, healthy menu to ensure you leave feeling better than when you arrived. A seamless integration of contemporary convenience and historic significance, our 214 guest rooms boast an intriguing combination of sophistication and rejuvenation. The guest rooms offer different shapes, city views and unique lay-outs since the bank offices were not designed as sleeping rooms. All rooms were recently renovated in February 2015.
