The room and room service was great!
The pool and hot tub were nice but the pool room itself could use an update.
No free wi-fi
the room was clean and the service was good
the room was quite small and I do not believe that our bed was a heavenly bed as the website stated
very accommodating, friendly staff, fairly good view, nice bathroom
room smelt a little of cigarette smoke, very small room for deluxe king, no fridge
Loved the history of the hotel and the comfort of the rooms.
No free wi-fi in rooms.
It was great to be able to get some athletic clothes and use the excellent workout facilities. The bed at the Westin is super comfortable too.
I don't like having to pay for the use of the Internet - and I did not. It's not like you haven't already paid for it or gotten enough from your paying customers. It's why I downgraded the value for the money rating above.
Excellent lobby. Good room service/bar food. The decor is stylish.
Small. No view. Don't like valet parking, but there is nothing they can do about that. Also, they put us on a preferred floor, but I think they put everybody there, because it was obvious people weren't travelers...talking loudly in hallways at 1am etc.
The location was good.
Very poor service overall. No keys in locker rooms for lockers. Poor turndown service (they only closed the drapes), beds were hard - not the "heavenly bed" Westin promises. Overpriced for the product delivered.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk comped me the WIFI fee due to a mixup with the booking/reservation. Very nice. It's good that management gives them some leeway to act independently. Makes me more loyal; even though it wasn't really necessary.
Somehow booking.com and the Westin didn't connect on my reservation; so there was no record of it. The front desk called booking.com and they re-faxed the reservation details. Could there be a way to do these transactions electronically rather than relying on sending/receiving a fax? Thanks.
good service and cleanliness, helpful staff, room was changed immediately when first room smelled of urine
elevator system with cards to activate doesn't work well, both cards malfunctioned, had to make trips down to desk to get fixed, couldn't get in room
The limited late night menu for 24 hour room service and cost of food/service.
Location. Skyways and access to Nicollete Mall within steps. Ambiance is a good blend of old with the new architecture.
Bedside lamp not functional.
The hotel is conveniently located on the light rail line that runs directly downtown from the airport. Similarly, it is on Nicollet Mall where all the shopping and restaurants are located in downtown Minneapolis.
Caution - there are rooms that have windows into a pseudo courtyard-like space. I prefer a room with natural light, so you may want to specify your preference when booking.
the pool was nice, the food was excellent, the staff were helpfull and accomodating
check-in was difficult as they understaff the desk, no one was even there at one point
location is very good; staff very helpful
had lost my reservation, but I fortunately had copied it; swimming pool and workout facilities were marginal at best
The exercise room and pool
The service in the dining room
