Pros: We loved the beach view from our balcony, atmosphere and beautiful location of the hotel. The breakfast each morning was delicious and abundant. It was easy to take a beach stroll, and the hotel desk staff provided us with a map and information as to where to go, depending on what kind of beach area we wanted. The beach directly in front of the hotel is surfer friendly and decent for a stroll, but not for swimmers, at least during the red-flag conditions at our time there. Walking westward on the beach however, provides great views, some more shallow and calm wading areas, and even some coral and sea life sightings! We would definitely stay again - it is an affordable place to stay that is located a reasonable distance from El Yunque Rainforest, San Juan sights, and the ferry to Culebra island for a day trip.
Cons: The neighborhood was not the classiest, but we felt safe enough to walk the beach at night. We appreciated the gated parking and locked entry to the hotel as an extra assurance.
At Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Luquillo Beach. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and free continental breakfast is available daily.
Pros: Multitude of activities.Staff very friendly and willing to take care of your needs. Great beach and amazing infinity pool.
Cons: Distance to walk to and from different places.
Pros: Gorgeous location with private island and water park access.
Cons: Since its connected to the conquistador hotel there is not much to do on the casitas side. Meaning long walk every time you want to experience some of the conquistadors amenities.
Pros: The private island was great
Cons: The cost is not worth it. For the price paid, many things did not meet expectations.
Pros: Las Casitas area was relatively new and very well maintained and very pretty!
Cons: Food prices were pretty high--like higher than Manhattan pricing for some items, which I found to be a bit exploitative.
Pros: Classy, well maintained.
Cons: Too many kids and the air conditioner vent put cold air right onto the bed. We got the room very cold all day and shut the a/c off at night. It got a bit stuffy but was better than being awake cold all night. Staff said all casitas are set up the same.
Pros: Staff was amazing and very flexible.
Pros: Full of fun. You can just spend your time is this resort.
Cons: Bed could be bigger.
Pros: Great experience. Loved every second of it. More of a relaxed style 4 star place, which is great for a laid back Caribbean vacation. Not a ritzy five star stiff hotel, where we'd need to dress up to go the pool.
Pros: The service is fabulous and Thierry private island is amazing
Pros: Facilities, lobby, and staff
Cons: Check in Registration take more time than expected (about 20 mins), the Tv was out of service due to No Signal alarm, the ice machine was a little bit far and the room service for ice take about 25 mins.
Pros: The location is amazing. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My view was nothing short of spectacular. I loved the private balcony. The in-room coffee was delicious. The food I ordered from room service was consistently outstanding.
Cons: Most of the staff were very friendly  from room service). However, some were less friendly and seemed bothered to have to help me. I think staff morale needs a boost.

Enjoy this exotic home away from home! (Daily housekeeping is not included and may be added for a nominal fee.)
Pros: The location is ideal. Ocean front with 3 beautiful pools. The property is expansive, clean and well kept.
Cons: Information is lacking regarding pools, restaurants, shuttles and fees. A simple map of the 500 acres wasn't available when I inquired
Pros: The entire resort is clean and well maintained!!! We will definitely go back!
Cons: Not much privacy on the balcony. Over looking busy and noisy pool area.
Pros: Is a good hotel if you rent a car to move around It
Is very clean and quiet I did not like the gym as I travel solo and needed fhe gym for mornings The gym is super small and located in a ackward room next to the spa. Would help if they moved that up and have you workout viewing the water. Lots of people used the gym while I was there so it needs improvement. The beach was always with waves. The water was not blue but more green. If you walk too far towards east you hit the river and the small mosquitos called "mimes" will eat you up. Restaurants were good but pricey. No cash acceptance so need credit card for all and the bank fees are high if you withdraw money in PR for any Chase person. Overall is a nice property hotel but not for singles unless you rent a car and move around.
Cons: Found myself constantly asking the housekeeping staff to leave face cloths in room...or they wouldn't leave shampoo and soap....Not happy that restaurants are not always open for dinner...had the problem at one the restaurants...not enough offering in the category of restaurants...Very expensive to get to and from the property to visit other surrounding locations without having to rent a car...Needless to say I won't be coming back.
Pros: Location, Rooms, Beach Access
Cons: Fee for parking, lots of extra charges, minimal beach activities
Pros: the view of the ocean from the room, the food in all the restaurants was excellent , felt very welcomed . everyone was very happy to please us.

Pros: They have a private island beach I was unable to use because their check in is at 4pm and the last ferry that goes to the island is at 4pm. I was supposed to be there only one day, but checked out immediately after I realized that the infinity pool is not at this location.
Cons: False advertisement. Horrible experience and they won't refund me my money even though I did not stay there. Horrible experience and every travel website will know of my experience.
Pros: Great service!!!! Everyone went out of their way to help! I went with my husband and loved it so much, that I am already searching for another booking with the entire family SOON!!!!
Pros: The views no matter were you were within the real state. Room was excellent. Palomino Island was outstanding, beautiful and majestic. Jet ski and horseback riding a great amenities during the stay.
Cons: Parking is a nightmare for visitors driving there on their own. Parking lighting may be even considered dangerous for first timers. Reported an incident at the front desk and told me that the concierge would take care of it in the morning, not even a call. Three days later I reminded them about the issue and nothing. At check out, I reminded them for the third time and the lady took care of it in seconds. Service is a 3/5.
Pros: Definitely need some updates.
Cons: Palomino island is very nice
Cons: Dated palomino beach area.
Mildew smell in elevator
Pros: The location was great, the views were great and palomino island was pretty cool.
Cons: everything was overpriced and low quality. Let me clairfy:
1. Ate at two of the resort restaurants and paid 200 bucks for frozen fish while we were right on the Caribbean.
2. The resort itself was not well maintained (closed/vacant buildings, closed/vacant pathways, aging ferries etc.)
3. The "convenience" store which sold various groceries was comically overpriced. 25 bucks for a bottle of 5 dollar yellowtail, come on. I ended up driving 5 minutes to the local CVS and spending 5 bucks on a six pack.
4. Valet took at least 30 minutes to get your car.
5. Weird credit card/prepaid room charge of 100 dollars/night that we probably wouldn't have spent had we not had the money prepaid.
6. Drinks were weak and expensive
7. Staff was marginal at best w/ the exception of the bell boys.
8. Coqui water park is 20 bucks/person for 2-3 water slides
9. The only reason to stay on the resort is because it was so difficult to get off the resort. (from our room we had to get on the fenicular (sp?), walk a mile, get on an elevator, and walk another mile, then wait for 30 min for the valet to maybe get our car.
10. The fenicular (sp?) had a security guard inside whose presence was unnecessary. Being situated in the middle of the track, half the time we had to get on going in the wrong direction to go to where we wanted AND there was no way to just walk/take the stairs from the marina to the main resort area that we could find.
11. Free hotel wifi was nonfunctional.
The list goes on, but to summarize, overall the resort had a thin veneer of luxury which was quickly unmasked by simply walking through the campus. I will not recommend anybody stays here longer than the day that is required to check out palomino and palominito islands and furthermore believe that this should be demoted to a 2 or 3 star resort as it doesn't come close to any 4 star resorts I have been to in the world.
Pros: El parque acuático para los ninos fabuloso y yo lo disfrute también la excursión a Palominito en Jet sky fabuloso
Pros: Palomino island, water park, pools
Cons: Many hidden fees including $22 to park daily, $37 miscellaneous resort fee (not disclosed upfront), limited foods options especially with kids
Cons: Very nice.
Daily Resort Charge will be added to the room rate and includes: local, toll-free and credit card calls (no access fee); Guest Internet access; ferry to Palomino Island beach; weekly resort activities. Cons: No hot water in 2 of the 3 rooms.

One room had no towels on last night.
One room had a non-working curling fan.
No cable TV. No local broadcast channels.
Beach had trash on it.
Water not suitable for drinking.

Pros: Our family of six stayed comfortably in their room. Close to the Bio bay and el Yunque rainforest. Staff was extremely helpful with all our needs. The pool area looked awesome, but our time didn't allow us to swim at the sweet pool. Great stay for us on the east side of the island.
Cons: Room is nice and staff is welcoming. The view from the hotel is good
Pros: the staff was super helpful and knowledgable in suggesting places to eat and things to do.
Cons: everything was dated. the comforters and bed sheets were really old. although i bet they were clean, they felt dirty. we did not feel comfortable sleeping.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were extremely clean and we felt secure.
Pros: The staff was very helpful and courteous which was nice since we checked in around midnight after the bio bay kayak tour. It's a good location to the bio bay and ferry to Culebra/Vieques which is why I picked it.
Cons: Floors in the room were clean but had this slick residue on them which made it sticky under bare feet. The bed was decent but only came with a sheet and the bed cover (no duvet or blanket underneath).
Pros: Nice pool good food great staff
Pros: pool was great, room was well appointed, in house restaurants had good food
Cons: pool wristbands, not enough pillows
Pros: beautiful pools
Cons: the internet was not available in the room, only in the lobby area
Situated near the airport, this hotel is within 1 mi (2 km) of R&S Mountain Biking and Bahía Las Croabas. El Conquistador Golf Course and Playa Seven Seas are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Cons: A horrible bad smell, because of a dirty marina.

Part of the extensive Palmas del Mar community, the villas at Park Royal Club Cala are Mediterranean in style, generously appointed and welcoming four, six or up to eight guests. Pros: The hotel is quaint. The staff were very friendly. I loved the atmosphere. Also, I realy loved the fact it had a balcony and it was so pleasant having coffee out there and feeling the breeze from the sea in my face.
Cons: The room and the bathroom needed a little upgrade. But, it served it's purpose and it was comfortable.
Pros: We liked the fact that it kept us from sleeping on the street.
Cons: We didn't like literally everything else - including how it felt like staying in the hotel from The Shining. Fairly sure someone was killed there before we arrived.
This hotel offers all inclusive and is seconds away from the ocean, there's a pool, bar, hammocks, basketball court, volley ball court, two bars on the walk to the ocean open on the weekends only cash, beautiful private and the patio looks on to the pool, kids play area. Everything here was perfect and there's a restaurant in the hotel, amazing food and the pina coladas are to die for!
Pros: It wasn't cluttered with people, nice private oasis!
Cons: Just a little fighting with the water in the shower between hot and cold, could have been a little bit easier.
Nice walk on the beach, good food and a beautiful place to be.
Pros: The staff is Great, the place is beautiful and many places to go near by.
Cons: The only thing was that the sauna wasn't working.
Cons: Not comfortable beds or pillows, all footsteps of the floorsyou hear them, they gave anogher person a key for my room and he opened our room and we were in bed already. In the restaurant they didnt have the food I wanted that was in the menu

Pros: Cheap price, but rooms have mold in bathrooms need to be updated. Not enough staff. Prices high for food and drinks. Recommend rental car because its far away from everything.
Pros: Loved it!
Pros: View and pool
Cons: Horrible service, poor food
Pros: The Gran Melia PR was absolutely amazing. The room was beautiful and the service was nothing short of amazing. I would highly recommend staying here on a visit to Puerto Rico.
Pros: Beautiful private beach, big pool, huge property (5 kms to get to the hotel from the main road), reasonable priced
Cons: They only have a couple of golf carts that take you to your room. Staff can be rude sometimes. Bottled water only for the first night.
Pros: Everything, from the villas to the enormous pool, the long serene beach, the extreme privacy, well manicured property, wonderful staff and luxurious settings.
Cons: The pool bar and beach bar attendants were terrible. Stood at the pool bar looking to order drinks and literally not even acknowledged we were there ...walked to beach bar hoping to get better service. Nope same thing, he didn't even look at us.. Walked away empty handed two times.
Pros: This place is paradise.
Cons: Not enough snack or lunch options.
Pros: The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Our first room smelled strongly of mold, had a noisy bathroom fan that had to be on to have light, a shower with absolutely no water pressure (because I think the water was going into the wall, hence the mold) and an air conditioner that wouldn't cycle so we had to just turn it off for the room to warm above 65 degrees. After discussing with the front desk, they moved us to a room in a better location that didn't smell of mold, had decent water pressure in the shower, but it's air conditioner had the same issue. The room didn't feel clean but we made the most of it because we had to.
The property's foliage is all old and sparse, just sort of pathetic.
We were at this property in 2011 and thought highly of that experience. It's gone downhill.
I've heard that if you have "red level" that it's a different experience. We didn't have that opportunity because we purchased last minute through kayak.

Pros: It's good if your a golfer or gambler cause both are on premise
Cons: Parking should be free and drinks at the lil lobby bar should be cheaper
Pros: The staff was great, the housekeeping real good.
Cons: The hot tub was poor. The beach area needed more attention. We asked for two queen size beds and got full size.
Cons: air conditioning would not cool sufficiently; hotel "engineer" came after our third call. he turned fan to higher speed which did nothing. turns out that when set below 70 the compressor shuts off; problem is that 70 (at least on the thermostat in our room) only cools the room to the high 70s.
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Showers were good (although a coworker had no hot water). Pool was excellent.
Cons: Staff particularly management not responsive. Would not answer questions about my bill despite 3 left messages over a week. Number of questionable charges.A few room maintenance issues. Room thermostat was not adjustable. Noise insulation for teh room was poor (had trouble sleepiong over the weekend due to noise).

Pros: We were so happy here. It was exactly what we needed after a long couple of days driving around the island. It is peaceful and safe, and you can hear the sounds of the jungle all around you. Everyone there was so friendly, down to the dogs.
Cons: Breakfast was barely a snack! It was more of a social event than an actual meal, so I wish we had been fed properly since we expected not to have to buy that meal.
Pros: Fantastic location in the forest with incredible views; extremely helpful owner (we had some special needs because of our schedule, and the owner did everything to help us, our big thanks to him).

We had a great time at Moonlight Bay Hostel. It was clean, the mattresses were comfortable and we slept well each night. It was a great place to stay, especially for the price and we'll be definitely be back.
Pros: The location was excellent. It was a few steps from the ferry to Culebra and Vieques. The rooftop patio was also great to hang out on.
I would only recommend this hostel to people who want to go to Culebra or Vieques in the morning. Otherwise don't go. It's unclean, unfriendly and unhelpful. The most helpful person we met at the hostel doesn't even work there.
Pros: The location to the Fajardo Ferry which goes to Culebra and Vieques.
Cons: The weird staff, lack of anything to eat in the area.
Take in the views from the rooftop terrace when you stay at Moonlight Bay Hostel. Free WiFi is an added perk, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails.
