The staff would speak English but did let me speak with my modist French without me felling "silly" (if that makes sence)
Location, staff Value for money, room facilities - tea/coffee, safe, shower, light bulbs
Excellent location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful Hotel decor and furniture a little tired.
traditonal hotel, friendly service, large room, superb location the noise, the noise, the noise
Smack on Graslin Square. Quite and comfortable. Free parking. No complaints. Good deal. Solid hotel.
The size of the space! No.
Courtesy and attention of all staff. Excellent facilities. Historic but light and airy surroundings.
location bed uncomfortable, backyard view
closeness to amenities poor room standards, requested and got larger room. No mirrors in room or drink making facilities. No shoer - mixer tap on bath
The location was central for shopping, wining and dining and had very easy access to good public transport network. Because of industrial action and protests in Nantes our access to the hotel was "barred"for a few hours. When we arrived after this fraught experience and unloaded our luggage at the front door only to be directed to the public car park three blocks away, the staff offered no assistance and failed to point out the hotel car park in the hotel courtyard for the exclusive use of clients. I was not impressed. The breakfast service was barely adequate with very limited choice.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the city nothing all was good
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the location is perfect for the shopping district and a short stroll from the bars/restaurants.
Excellent location, large room, good value for money One-way streets and nearby tramways make it difficult to reach by car.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very comfortable nad I would recomend this hotel to others
The hotel was very centrally located and clean, the staff were friendly. Tea/coffee in room plus a hair dryer. The only complaint i have is that the beds were old and it was sagging in the middle, caused a back ache for both of us. Due to the very central location there was some noise on weekend nights.
Good hotel - good central location - good wine selection in the bar. Parking was a bit tricky to get to
The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast Buffet is as good as expected. The location is super and close to all points of interest. The bathroom shower spills over the floor due to poor layout and finish of the barrier glass
Hotel so central and convenient Missed the Tea & Coffee facilities in the room
Clean, friendly staff, good location and private parking underneath. Very noisy outside most of the night. Air-conditioning not working in a very warm stuffy room.
very friendly personnel; very well organised; good breakfast Lot of street noise at night
location noise, smell of paint, no showers, buffet breakfast not great.
the location hotel seems old fashion, small room, bathroom not very practical
Convenience to city Poor breakfast
The hotel staff were unfailingly approachable, helpful and warm. La Perouse is in an excellent location just a couple of minutes stroll from the charming old town and close to the "Commerce" tram hub. The hotel has strong "green" credentials. The buffet breakfast was enjoyable. The bathroom seemed slightly jaded, but this didn't detract from an enjoyable stay. Our abiding memory was of a smart, environmentally friendly hotel with outstanding staff.
Staff so lovely and helpfull. breakfast lovely and put a spare bed in room for our daughter. Location perfect.
The first night we were allocated a room which can best be described as small and just about adequate. When we returned 4 nights later we were allocated an "upgraded" room, at no additional cost, which was much better.
Personnel was really friendly and helpful. Room was spatious and clean. On my first day there was a live concert in front of my window (music festival that takes place once a year) until 2 am. They should have told me or at least have earplugs available. The wifi signal was weak and was blocking access to my email.
Central position Would have liked a showerbox in the bathroom
Modern clean room. Good bedlinen pillows and towels and shower. Good central location. Helpful staff. Question safety access from bedroom in emergency.
(1) the servise in this Hotel is excellent, especially one of female staff.Sorry I did not know her name! Anyway I like the people and air in Nantes very much! I really enjoy it! (2) the location is much better than what I image. It is in the real center of Nantes city, close to shopping center and bars. (3) finally I will always miss you, Nantes!!!
Excellent location, delicious breakfast Small room
The location was perfect for our three day visit to Nantes, easy access to the mainly pedestrianized area of the city. Above all the friendliness and courtesy shown to us by your staff was examplery. In particular your receptionist Severine was extremely helpful. Many thanks. None
Very convenient city centre location close to shopping, sightseeing, restaurants and places of interest would like to have tea/coffee available in the room.
The hotel is very centrally located for shopping, restaurants and sight seeing. The staff ar friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel does not have a restaurant or onsite parking which can be inconvenient. Hotels in Nantes in general are very overpriced, i would only recommend this hotel at €100 or less.
We were on the 7th floor, so there was a lovely view and it was very quiet. As we were staying with a small group, I liked the coffee making facilities near the front desk and the breakfast was very good.
The location is good for tourists with the sights, restaurants & shops within easy walking distance. The general description has misleading claims. A bar suggests a range of drinks & not just soft drinks; there is no public parking " on site"; there were no international papers; the one lift broke down twice during our two night stay in a room on the 5th floor; the staff were unable to provide us an extra pillow because " the hotel was full ".
central to nantes it was a 2 star hotel, with 5star price.
Central location. Really good price. Very clean and very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Excellent location, comfortable quiet rooms, very nice breakfast and friendly staff. Good value for money It would be nice to have the possibility of buying alcoholic drinks from the bar or to order breakfast to be served in the room.
Location, location, location! Right in the city centre close to shops, transportation, restaurants etc. Nice & clean, good beds, free & fast internet, breakfast included Only very small desk which was not so easy to work at
Superb location. Friendly, obliging staff. Immaculate rooms. Highly recommended.
Good location, service and room fine.
satff and management were very welcoming, breakfast was good, location excellent
It was very good value for money, great location, the staff were more than helpful, very friendly and the room, although small, was all you needed for a short stay.
Staff very friendly and helpful, and 3 star rating was surprisingly good, unlike most 3 star's in France that are surprisingly bad. Breakfast could have been a little more enterprising
The friendliness of the staff; and their helpfulness.
Very clean. Room was very quiet, good size. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast had great selection. Great location. No
Hotel was in a good central location. We could walk to a lot of the museums, sites etc. Room was cleaned every day, linen changed daily. Not really. Everything was satisfactory.
The staff were extremely helpful and charming. Even though their English wasn't too good, it was far better than our French and they were more than happy to try and help us as much as they could. This was most appreciated as at the end of the day we were visiting their country and should therefore be prepared to speak French! We did try and communicate in French as much as we could though. The hotel has been recently refurbished and should be a 3* hotel in our opinion. Fantastic location too. As the hotel states in their write up, its on a quiet street, but literally 1-2 minute's walk to the start of Nantes centre. The hotel recommended a fantastic restaurant to us too, and also a trip to see the 12 metre wooden elephant....well worth a visit - particularly for those with children, but it was also suitable and extremelyNon fascinating for adults too. None. (Well, we should perhaps point out that there are not coffee/tea making facilities or a hair dryer in the room, but then what do you expect for a 2* hotel?! This was not a problem as I always take a hairdryer - even to 4 and 5* hotels! Not to mention the staff gave us complimentary coffee when we asked for it - So this is not really a bad point in our view, although I guess some may think so.)
Clean and very nice, very good located, comfortable, reasoonable breakfast, good access after 22:30, very close to La Cigale -
the stafff are so nice..
The bed was very good, and the breakfast more diverse than the "continental" standard The solution with the bathroom (open to the room) was a bit special
location very small rooms
friendly reception no
Central location ideal for shops and restaurants. Room very good for the price. Breakfast not very good- a small croissant and some small slices of bread left on individual trays, rather than being able to self select. Also only one choice of cereal on offer. Not very good value.
location we didn't sleep very well at all as it was very noisy in the street (friday night)
Courteous and helpful staff.
The staff were very helpful, the location is really good. I didn't like that there was no heating in the rooms between 9 & 5 unless you requested it. I was cold throughout the stay, & think there was no heating prior to 9 in the morning.
location, peace and quiet room size, breakfast poor
Godo central location. Nice sizeable clean rooms. Perfect for us with a teenage daughter - we were offered interconnecting rooms.
The staff were very helpful
The centrality no, not really, it wasn't luxurious by any stretch of the imagination but it was good value for money
I found the staff friendly and helpful only that i did not stay longer
Very nice surprise to get a hotel with nice decorative modern design
excellent location, very clean & modern. Staff were very helpful Room was small, although that is the norm in France and was still very adequate.
Decor of the hotel was very good. The hotel was situated in the very centre of Nantes and the car park was just round the corner and free to guests between 7pm - 9am. No tea and coffee making facilities. Only provided with two pillows between two people and not enough blankets.
The hotel has an excellent location in the town centre and it was fairly easy to find parking spaces nearby. The rooms are newly renovated and are fresh even if you can feel that the house itself is pretty old. It is well worths it's money and we recommend it. No real cover, just a blanket, no saftey box in the room. The bed was quite small for 2 persons but it works.
The hotel was located right in the shopping center of Nantes, and was within easy walking distance of most all of the main attractions of the city. The restaurants that were recommended to us, the Castle, and the Cathedral of Nantes were all easy to walk to. The room was very small, with little space to place one suitcase or to unpack. Likewise, the closet was quite small, as was the bathroom. There was no additional shelving for placing toiletries, for example. Overall, I felt I was paying exorbitantly high rates for what we received in this hotel.
We had an xxl room and it was lovely. It was roomy and so was the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room was furnished and arranged that it felt like a bedroom more than a hotel room. The hotel is located right on the shopping district and is worth a stay. It didn't bother us because we travelled in autumn, but there is no air conditioning. There are lovely big windows that open but they do let the street noise in along with the air. Internet was good for lap top or net book but I had to got out in the hall for my iPad to pick up a connection. Not sure if that says more about my iPad than the hotel connection.
Good location & excellent value for money.
Great location - highlt recommended No internet access
Excellent central location, really friendly staff, clean and spacious room.
Good value, central hotel. Highly recommend.
It's very near to the center of the city Qualche problemuccio con le prese di corrente
Superb breakfast. Excellent location although needs parking planning beforehand.
Cheap and comfortable, staff were friendly. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what it was, there were hairs on the mattress.
The hotel was walking distance to all sights and shops including the Christmas market. Very pleasant staff, comfortable room, breakfast was good.Very comfy bed!!
Staff were very helpful, good location, good size room etc value for money.
Bed a little uncomfortable and room looked a little tired (eg mould on shower ceiling)
Excellent central location, friendly staff, good value for money. good breakfast (although extra). Good for a cheap weekend break No facilities for drink i.e kettle in room. no hairdryer, very basic, mildew on roof of shower, very noisy outside and could hear it inside. No lounge. No bar
The hotel was a great option for the price. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We were two backpackers who couldn't find a hostel in Nantes, and this almost just as cheap as some of our more expensive hostels elsewhere, but we had the luxury of being in a hotel. Great location and great bargain!
Very good location, big comfortable rooms, helpfull staff, everything ok
The cheapest European city centre hotel ever I think, basic but comfortable spacious room with a mini but functional ensuite bathroom. Heaving luggage up the tight winding stairs to the reception on the 3rd floor, luckily we had a room on the same floor or that would not have been funny. Also I hate the sweaty feel of the rubber backed mattress protector used on the bed. I know you have to look after the bed but ....you can get protectors without the rubber.
was close to all the amenities bathroom walls did not go all the way up to meet the ceiling and door did not close. Walls thin enough to hear couple having argument very early in morning
Clean, small cheapish hotel in perfect location by St Nicolas church. It feels and looks old fashioned but it is comfy and the staff was very helpfull. Noise at night from the studenty types in the bar opposite. The little street not easy to find on maps.
The location of the hotel was right in the middle of the city close to everything.
The location, friendliness of the reception staff and the comfortable beds The stairs to reception are a bit daunting with luggage, and not for anyone who has difficulty with stairs
Great location for a low price. Big rooms, simple but clean.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, it was at a great location and it was good value for money. No.
Great small comfy hotel in the hart of old town
This is a really friendly hotel in a brilliant location
