Nassau Van Rentals

The roads in Nassau tend to be well-maintained and paved because Nassau is a prominent city on the island. However, once outside the city limits, many roads become narrow and bumpy, and are not well-maintained. Nassau van rentals will help provide a smoother ride over such roads. Furthermore, it is common in the Bahamas to share the roads with vehicles that are excessively loaded, and indeed, overloaded. Drive with caution and always give a wide margin to any vehicles that look unsafe to you. In Nassau, when it rains, the roads often flood, and the flooding tends to be more problematic outside the city. Therefore, if heavy rain is predicted, don’t intend to drive.

One somewhat tricky thing about driving in the Bahamas is that you will be driving in on the left side of the road. Additionally, most cars in the Bahamas are imported from the U.S., so you'll be driving with the steering wheel on the left side, as in the U.S. Take your time and drive cautiously in this unfamiliar configuration.

You can find a number of rental agencies that have Nassau van rentals in the fleet near Nassau Bahamas Cruise Terminals, on the northern shores of the island, either just north or just south of Bay Street, a major road on the island. Avis Car Rentals is located on Cumberland Street and Hertz Car Rental – Nassau is on Marlborough Street. You can also find the Budget Rent a Car Nassau Bahamas Downtown location on Marlborough Street.
