Didn't rent us the car
Cons: We arrived all the way to New Jersey from Manhattan to rent the car and they wouldn't except any of our payment methods, including not only debit cards (which they said they do not except) but also a credit card the worked just fine to rent a car from Avis instead.
This lead to us being forced to pay almost 400$ more on renting a car last minute from a nearby rental space, as well as being an hour late to a lecture we were giving and for which we needed the car.

Value for Money
Pros: I got a better car Sentra (instead of Corolla the booked one)with more space for our luggage
Cons: The location has very short working hours and close on Sundays; but the key-drop service worked fine - though that's not a comfortable option for any post return issues.

Pros: Dollar Staff at Mall Drive West were very good. Car was pretty good.
Cons: Dollar Office at Mall Drive West not easy to find. Either there was a problem with the wipers or the windscreen, because in rain, the wipers didn't clear the windscreen very well.

Good but hard to find
Pros: Cheap. Pretty fast service. Jersey city location was a bit silly but overall good customer service.
Cons: Indont like having to return rentals with fill tanks of gas. It makes planning a nighmare to find a gas station JUUUUUUST close enough to the rental to not kove the needle. Also the jersey cith location needs to have sime signs in the mall for those who are walking in, say, from the path train station. otherwise it is literally impossible to find.

extra charges drove the price up
Pros: The staff was friendly. Unlimited miles included in rental.
Cons: Extra charge for additional driver (my wife) $13/day. Extra charge for day I didn't use it, just because I returned it after hours (even though the parking garage ticket indicated the time I returned it). Apparently this was a policy change once Hertz bought Dollar. Enterprise didn't charge me for an additional driver or for time not used. Also, Dollar miscalculated the charge for the tank of gas. The car itself (a Mazda 2) was fine, but the key was inconvenient -- no remote locking, only the driver door had a keyhole, and to unlock other doors you had to reach inside to hit an unlock button (no option to, say, double turn the key in the door to unlock all doors).
Lastly, while very close to the PATH station as the crow flies, it is a bit of a hike from the station as the human walks. No shuttle was offered.

Wait for it...
Pros: The car was surprising nice, comfortable and with nice amenities
Cons: Several of us had to wait over an hour for our reserved cars. We were told it was because someone had called in sick
Cons: I reserved an intermediate size car and they didn't have any so was offered a compact car (ford fiesta) or a minivan. Ended up taking the minivan but would've preferred my reserved intermediate size car.

No cars available - they refused to give me a bigg
Cons: I turned up - no compact car like I'd reserved.
Plenty of minivans there - they refused to give me one.
I phoned customer service of Budget to see if they could help - the representative refused to help, said "I don't care", and ended the call. So - no car. Now I have to write to Budget to get my money back for the insurance I paid for the rental
Cons: Due to the location's random policy change that occurred in July 2015, if you were to rent a vehicle on late Friday or early Saturday, you are changed for the entire weekend. The reason was due to employees ineptitude to check the parking garage arrival card to confirm when the car was dropped of. As such the laziness has resulted in everyone paying for multiple days when only 24 hours is required. Highly unsatisfied.
