The rooms were clean and beds comfortable, though on the second day, they didn't replace all the glasses with clean ones or clean out the ice bucket. At check-in we were informed our 2 rooms were no where near each other so they checked us into 1 room and told us they would call when the other room was ready. They didn't. I had to go down a couple of hours later to ask for our other room. I made the reservation months ago so they should have put the rooms side by side but they didn't. Furthermore, I had a package at the desk, which they did not tell me about.
Nice updated decor and furniture. Hotel personel was friendly. Bar restuarant closed early, by 11 pm so it was hard to get something to eat or have a cocktail/ nightcap.
Clean and well designed. Infastructure is in need of updating, i.e. outlets.
Location, breakfast, coffee and tea 24hrs. Fridge was available and brought up to the room. Somewhat delapidated premises for the $200/night cost one night. Average cost per night was reasonable over the 4 nights.
Nice breakfast and breakfast room with a variety of seating. Spacious room. Quiet. Great location. Clean. TV channels did not match list in room. No microwave in room. Awkward parking. Wasteful laundering of sheets and duvet cover for extended stay. Also wasteful discarding of partially used toiletries. Awkward configuration of bathroom amenities since toilet and sink were often used by second person while shower was in use. The space was very tight.
Comfortable bed; nice free breakfast dining area; friendly staff.
Friendly staff helped us find local activities for one of our family members. Breakfast was great - well managed, clean, friendly atmosphere,, and great selection.
Staff + location Mattress
Quiet, clean, excellent staff, very good breakfast. 20 minutes from Boston downtown.
Convenience to the interstate, not far from the Boston area. Breakfast selection and variety. Cleanliness, One of the quietest hotels I have stayed in,.
Breakfast was much better than average hotel breakfast. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was clean with lots of easy-to-reach outlets for charging electronics. Shower drain ran slow.
Clean, quiet and extremely comfortable. Luxurious bedding, mattress and furnishings. I did hear the alarm clock in the room next to me go off at 5am. This was disturbing but the hotel was very quiet and sound proofed.
The comfortable beds Very noisy air conditioner
The pictures include the breakfast bar which appears to be against the wall. It isn't, there are staff behind the counter charging you for food. No complimentary breakfast. Also the food seems microwaved. You are better off eating outside of the hotel.
Not much We reserved a room (200 dollars) when we arrived we were told that the carpets had just been steamed and were damp. Two hundred dollars for a room with damp carpets. That is inhospitable! They moved us to a room with only a shower that was habitable. But our stay was spoiled. Never again!
Hotel staff were excellent, helpful, and very accommodating when there was a mix-up with room assignments. We really appreciated their friendly and gracious service.
The online description advised on-site parking, it sure was, at $38 a day, I could have stayed at the Marriott down the road with free parking $38 a day parking, turned my $150 room into a $200 a night room after taxes, very deceiving
loved my room and the location!
Easy about 1 mile walk to back bay. Room smelled musty. First was given a room that wasn't cleaned properly. A shirt was in the corner of the room and a black mascara mark on the pillow. Then was moved to a room with a balcony which was nicer but still smelled musty and had eaten food(baba ganoush) left in the fridge. Housekeeping needs to improve! Will never stay again. Hyatt Regency in East Boston by the airport is way better!
Hotel is clean and comfortable, Free wifi. High parking costs
Good level of service and venue Pool is too far from rooms
breakfast was very good comfort parking was an additional coast. We had two cars $80 total you can hear what is going on in the whole way and next-door room
Good elevator security, location, friendly doormen, the staff apologized for not taking care of my water problem or leaving a note. Didn't fix the loud banging noise when I used the hot water in the bathroom sink, mold in the shower drain, shower clothes line didn't work, no Boston papers available, coffee poor quality, Starbucks croissants were day old and cost $4+, I had a view over industrial Boston, obstructed by the gym. Even the gym faced away from the water.
The staff are very nice and accomodating. Rooms are comfortable and include wifi. The restaurant is just ok
Parking shoub be free.... One reazon i change to anotyer hotel.... But the night i stay was perfect.. Larry G
Special thanks to Maria at the restaurant, and Roe, the omelette chef for outstanding service. Nothing.
24 hour gym Complimentary wireless Location far from Beacon hill Construction
The hairs in and around the tub were so unpleasant, I spent about 15 minutes cleaning the tub before I could use it. Shampoo from dispenser does not lather. How many people touch those nasty things??? It also fell off the wall when i was trying to dispense shampoo. We were interrupted twice due to smoke complaints on our floor. We smelled it too. The kids next door screamed and ran around until about 11. But I booked this room JUST to get some peace and quiet while working on an important project for work. That didnt happen. If i knew the night would go like this I wouldnt have spent 200 dollars. Also, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and there is no extra blanket to be found anywhere in the room.
We had a meeting there and the staff went above and beyond to help us with our special requests and last minute changes
Everything was modern looking and a great location Too pricy for a thursday night
The front desk staff was friendly and expedient. Great location, right on the water -- excellent running trails. All rooms have waterfront views. My room was clean, comfortable, and updated. There are set taxi rates from the hotel to the airport -- so be sure you get the negotiated fare! Art Bar had slow service -- I would recommend leaving the property to eat.
Clean, Warm, nice rooms and great staff. I would stay there again. No negatives.
the staff late cleaning
Was here on business but wished I had taken a day to just relax. Right on the Charles, beautiful setting, close to everything.
Great staff Goog location Goodl value Everything
great dining on the riverfront. Friendly staff Food and beverage excellent. Would be nice if they had more vegan/vegetarian choices.
I liked both restaurants inside. It was very clean. The staff were amazing. It was a great experience.
clean, modern, gym was big and pool too i could hear the toilet of the next door room, it was hot and the fan i got was too noisy
itsclean and staffs are nice and friendly there was a baby and his parents livimg in the next room.the toddler was crying whole night so i could not rrst or sleep after a lomg flight there should be a separate floor for families with kids.
Staff were fantastic Construction going on in the lobby Lamps were ragged and stain on the sofa
Extremely nice facilities. Sharp hotel. Fantastic location / proximity to attractions
Staff was nice. Location is terrific for quick access to Cambridge/MIT Beds only so-so and pillows not great. Bathroom fixtures and amenities are also just okay. Walls are thin. Used to think of Meridien as an upscale brand, but this is just an average hotel.
Fantastic Staff and accomodations. Great access to the T and Boston.
Very beautiful and comfy rooms. nothing
Room's are well furnished and clean Bed was above average comfort Lobby is ugly, even without construction Nothing stands out about the hotel.
Excellent location. Right next to MIT and Novartis. 1) The temperature in the breakfast room was a bit COLD. It is a large room and one entire side is windows. I visited in mid-November. I wonder what it is like when winter sets in. 2) The water pressure in my shower was on the low side. 3) The fan in the climate control is noisy.
The staff were so helpful, they accommodated all of our needs, room service was great, a bit pricey but the breakfast was good. Overall our stay was amazing. We have stayed before and came back because the motel is spotless the beds are clean and cloud like. We will be back again.
Nothing They overbooked me and told me the day of.
Expensive and smell of Chinese or thai or some sort of food as soon as you enter the hotel
All of the staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular, Daniel at the front desk and Paul at Sidney's. They went out of their way to give us insight and recommendations regarding the area and just went above and beyond in general. The king bed was very comfortable and the 3rd floor roof garden was beautiful! We had a view from our room and were so pleasantly surprised. We spent quite a bit of time in it and feel that it's a great selling point for the hotel. The hotel is very beautiful with spectacular modern lighting and art. We spent some time at Sidney's both eating and at the bar and found the food and drinks to be very tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had many options. The room could use some deep cleaning. The headboard, chaise, and pendant lamp had very noticeable stains on them. The air conditioner was very noisy when it kicked off or on, loud enough to wake us up during the night.
Best sleep of my life
Great location and service was very good.
Everything was perfect, like every minute of my stay.
Proximity to river and adjacent to mall. Convenient for getting less expensive breakfasts - au pain dunkin donuts....... Housekeeping for room was so so
Everything. Starting with the deco going from the confortable rooms and ending with the amazing food.
Bath robes were a great addition
We chose the hotel thinking we had to bring our dog with us and this was pet friendly. Turned out we did not need to bring him. We were so surprised at how nice everything was. Well appointed, lots of little surprises like wine on arrival, reasonable parking that was good for several hours after checkout, everything spotless and tasteful and quiet.
Super location Lovely scent in lobby Great staff - upstairs and down 10am breakfast end. Went for a morning run so ended up at food court next door.
a bit isolated from things, was here for a wedding but really not close to transport or much else.
I travel a lot for both business and pleasure and I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest hotels ever! The place is beautiful, the food excellent, and the staff bends over backward to accommodate. no negatives
Clean and friendly
Complimentary buffet full breakfast. Easy to get to off interstate. Suite style amenable to family visit. Beds not comfortable, too soft. Limited room amenities.
I just loved everything and I will definitely go back again and again
Room was huge and very comfortable. I would stay again without a doubt. Breakfast was blah.
While staying two nights we had need of the business center to print flight tickets and 2 out of 3 computers were not working which led a back up of guests needing the computers. One belligerent guest would not allow us even to request when he would be finished so we could use it and proceeded to push me out of the room. After approaching the front desk into this matter they checked into it but he had already left. I've worked in a NYC hotel in Times Square for over 20 years and even I hadn't encountered this situation. You might need to look into keeping this up to date since it is now becoming more prevalent and almost necessary to keep the web and wifi in working order.
The rooms where big and clean. The continental breakfast was excellent and had good variety.
The hotel is very nice, more like a luxury hotel than an extended stay. The breakfast bar is really really good. Probably one of the cleaner hotels I have stayed in. I got the room for 145, which was an absolute bargain IMO. Great place, very professional staff. Not much the hotel can do about it, but if you are sleeping in the front room of the suite, it is very loud when the other guests close their doors. The manager should test it out sometime. Maybe put door closers to prevent unintentional slamming?
The Embassy Suites were nice overall. Only complaints, the bed was awful, and many children were running around like it was playground.
Suite was great for family of three. Good breakfast.
The suite was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in, the overall design of the building is magnificent and eye catching, it is not easy to get lost in the building, the workers were all friendly, and there included breakfast was more than we had hoped for. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we intend to stay there again. The Internet was slow and lagging in the bedroom but they had notes placed in the room apologizing and expressing they were working on fixing that issue.
We liked the layout of the hotel how it was open and everything was in one building also the glass elevator. the staff was over all friendly. When we arrived they first put us in a room where the thermostate was broken and a panel was off and against the wall. When we called the guest services first said they would send someone up to fix it an hour passed and we were freezing so I called back and they didn't even remember I called than they sent up someone with new keys for us to a different room this guy was the electrician and knew the system was broken. The bathroom did not have a fan so the bathroom filled up with steam when you took a shower Than the elevator was dirty and the pool was freezing cold and the hot tub had chunks of hair and dead skin along with other things floating in the water. The room service and breakfast both made me and my boyfriend sick. We definitely will not be returning.
I loved that When i told them my Finance was the day of our stay, not only did all the front desk know about it and wished her a happy bday. They went the extra mile by giving her a card, balloons, and chocolate cover fruit. It made her super happy. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!! there is nothing not to like
Easy to reach, good parking, spacious, quiet room, very good breakfast offering. Staff was not welcoming, seemed rather bored. Hotel lobby was not clean, and the carpeted stairs to the mezzanine level were dirty when I arrived, and still dirty on checkout the next morning. Not expected for a Hilton property.
I always adore that special white tea smell of the westin. The building itself was beautiful... All glass...the girl w the red hair in the front was super sweet and as always the hotel room was very clean and well kept. Always love the Westin!
Kind helpful staff
Almost everything about it was amazing Their pool facility does not have a hot tub
The hotel was clean and had all the amenities you might need during your stay. Parking garage has in and out privileges. Hotel is quiet & beds are comfortable. There is a Dunkin' Donuts across the street. Don't stay here if you are hoping to be close to Boston. It's definitely outside the city. It is easy to find though. It's located just off the highway.
Nothing Booked 5 weeks ahead of time, confirmed my reservation via email the day before and was still double booked and unable to stay at the hotel. Poor business practice to do that to people.
The bed was very hard. The room service was a disaster. They gave us bread with fungus!! and a pitch of water to make coffe!!
super clean, friendly staff wish they had a jacuzzi
Gorgeous hotel, updated and clean, showers mediocre, must try salted caramel cake. 30 min taxi to rail. No airport shuttle offered.
Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Elevators did not work.
Staff were pretty friendly. Took 30 mins to find my booking. Rooms and facilities are old and run down. No room service. No beer on tap in the bar (i mean it is Boston) . Breakfast was expensive and poor quality and selection.
The management was fantastic.
Friendly staff A bit far from Boston downtown
The hotel was incredibly clean. The fitness center had all we needed. The staff was welcoming, friendly, nice, helpful and very funny. This was a five plus star place for a cheap affordable price. We LOVED this place and we would stay at this hotel again. There was nothing not to like. I truly love how clean it was. It could have done without the "NY parking charge" but as New Yorkers we get it.
Very clean and comfortable. I was a single girl and I needed help with my bags which were very heavy. I called up the concierge and the front desk 4 times but no one came to pick up my bags and I had to lift 3 bags on my own..
Great value for a roomy and spacious quiet location. I loved the shuttle it can pick you up near the stations but I wish I knew coming in instead of walking there. No real amenities but there are renovations underway. Snacks were only provided on the first night not second.
Sawing and screwing noises woke me up at 7:30 am.
nice view of boston-- too far to walk comfortably to cambridge
The staff was very helpful and nice. I made a reservation for the wrong night with kayak and they guided me step by step to correct the error without penalty ( even if I already passed to deadline to cancel). While I was on the phone in the lobby the night manager brought a bottle of water free of charge.
Having to pay $35 to park my car. Given location of hotel, how do they expect people to get there other than by car. It is not like the hotel was in downtown Boston. Should be free to Marriott members. Breakfast was o/k.
Staff was great, excellent location, great breakfast (not included, at least at my rate). Comfortable room, nice bed, etc. Heating didn't work, on a rather cold night. It was a bit like staying in a tent during winter camping that way. Staff indicated to me that the heating units (they were old school, but I wouldn't have minded if it worked :) are all in process of replacement.
That it was being renovated, leading to a messy lobby, busy elevators and noisy early in the morning
Convenient location. Clean room. Very helpful and pleasant staff. It's shocking that for the price you pay for a room at a Marriott that Wi-Fi or wired Internet connectivity is not free. Really? Bathroom vanity was very small, too small for two people to be getting ready at the same time. The under-mounted bathroom sink wasn't installed under the granite, vanity top correctly...surprisingly low build quality or QA, again, for the price of a room at a Marriott.
Location to the T- able to access the whole city from the hotel Room was small for price
I was very pleasantly surprised at the overall professionalism and courtesy of the staff. The location cannot be beat if you're visiting MIT.
Nice view, good shower, renovated lobby Room was old and unremarkable
Close proximity to T stop is ideal. Bed was lumpy, hot water in sink was dangerously scalding.
The location. They offered none of the amenities that typically are offered free at any other hotel I have stayed in. Very low value for the top money they ask for. I won't be staying there again on my next trip to Cambridge.
wait staff in Champions was very good shortage of drawer space. lighting was awkward. bathroom was poorly laid out. amenities were not very good
on the T very basic room for the price
All very clean. Great view. Great location 1. Only one drawer 2. No desk or desk chair 3. Lighting was strange. 4. No "instruction" sheet.
One great thing about Harvard Square is the high energy and bustle, especially when school is in session. What makes The Charles so perfect is that it is a tranquil respite right on the edge of all the happenings.
The Charles is a perfect place to stay in Cambridge. It is well located, well designed with contemporary clean lines but still warm, and the Rialto is a fabulous restaurant in the hotel. We had a corner room which was quite spacious which we really appreciated as we were staying multiple nights.
Everything is within walking distance as I enjoyed a glorious autumn afternoon. I browsed endless rows of books at the Coop, watched rowers glide along the Charles River and ran stairs at Harvard Stadium while the football team engaged in a spirited practice. When I returned to the hotel, the room smelled great. They must have a special scent. I enjoyed the organic soap, shampoo and lotion that came with the room. Henrietta's Table is great for breakfast / brunch, and I highly recommend The Harvest for dinner. A very nice stay.
Well decorated rooms. Convenient to Harvard square Officious front desk staff. Being told they couldn't change our departure and charges despite a family emergency because it was our fault we used a third party reservation service. Being told entirely dissimilar rooms were the same. Smelly comforter covered by clean sheets. No coffee maker in room. Ice available only on request from room service.
Best Hotel in Cambridge/ location is perfect
Location was excellent. The room was very nice and comfortable. Excellent farm to table restaurant and bar. Although they had a parking garage, the elevator to the lobby was out of order so you had to take the stairs and the stairs lead to outside the front entrance. Very inconvenient if carrying any bags from the car and also because of sub-zero temps that weekend. Also no in and out access for self parking at $40 per night. If you leave you have to pay again.
Excellent service and superior restaurant. Very friendly staff who facilitated the check in and out as well as the luggage. I was in and out many times with my 7 year old grandson and he was always greeting with a smile. My daughter belongs to your health club and so they are used to going to your hotel. Overall, a well located, efficient and very quiet hotel.
Location was great with excellent service and nice trait ants around in the plaza
The Charles Hotel is centrally located in Cambridge, so it's very easy to get around the town. We walked wherever we needed to go and got there quickly and easily. The hotel has several dining options and an actual fitness club, not just a room with some cardio equipment and universal equipment. The wifi works well and the staff were all very helpful. It's pretty expensive to stay here, but we found a good deal on one of the discount hotel sites. I'd return in a heart beat.
Great location near the center of Harvard Square. Rialto is an excellent restaurant. Regatta Bar is great if you like jazz. Hotel is in need of renovation. New England shabby-chic means it's just a basic hotel in terms of cleanliness and room amenities. Bathrooms are seriously dated and in need of complete redo. Service levels are mediocre. Business center is a joke (1 computer and an attached printer). Prices are very high: you are paying for the location.
The room was very drafty near the windows- lots of cold air coming in
As an old firehouse, this hotel has great character and is a nice respite from typical chain hotels. The breakfast was excellent and afternoon wine was a nice touch. This hotel provides a wonderful experience for guests and is a very good value. Parking was very tight
The hotel, a former firehouse, has a beautiful feel. The very opposite of a cookie cutter chain hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and comfortable. The location, in the center of Kendall Square, is difficult to park in. The hotel does have a small underground lot (which is great) but the fit is right. Despite a warning from front desk staff, we still managed to nick the front bumper...
It is quiet, especially on weekend stays. We feel we did not really get the "Delux" King Room, but just a regular "King" size bedroom. So we are not really sure if we got what we had booked and paid for.
Design of the hotel. It is very cosy to stay in. Very slow elevator. Absence of a teapot.
clean smelling, nice decor pillows, lighting
The Kendall Hotel offers confortable, silent and clean rooms very close to the Kendall Subway Station.
Fantastic rooms - incredibly comfortable, large and provided everything we needed. Great location - right near the subway and 10 minutes maximum from either Harvard Square or the centre of the city. Very generous buffet breakfast and above all, a wonderfully courteous and friendly staff. This is a comfortable and extremely well run hotel. We will definitely be returning! Our only criticism (and it is small) is that the restaurant in the hotel was a little expensive and had a rather restricted menu. However, given the huge range of other places to eat and drink in the vicinity this was not a problem.
Friendly staff, great location, Wi-Fi hotspot in every room.
responsive staff, comfortable and quiet room. Although close to a "t" stop, the immediate area is bleak.
We went for the 4th of July holiday and felt so comfortable in the small and warmly decorated hotel. Being such a crowded weekend, we never felt overwhelmed due to the hotel being near MIT and no school in session over the summer.
Great location. Spacious room.
Comfortable boutique hotel in a great location right next to the MIT Red Line Stop. Excellent breakfast. Nice 7th floor lounge. Great value! No.
Seems in need of a renovation - lots of things in room not quite right. TV didn'the work, A/Canadian struggled, ripped blind, stained carpet. Didn'the like paying for WiFi separate, but when I did, slow, slow, slow.
The nice part of the hotel was the location and appearance. The worst part was being accused of stealing by w staff member who was not on the clock. She called my boyfriend and I "these people". Her tone of voice and attitude was completely uncalled for especially at 4am. Also the room above mine smelled like cigarettes because the people above were smoking. My room has no fridge so I could not store the food I paid for so that was thrown away and a waste of money. In the morning my breakfast order was messed up twice which was also paid for. The room above or below mine was playing music till 5am. My boyfriend and I had no sleep.
Entering the premises from highway is awkward and puzzle-like, even with GPS. It is advertised as a non-smoking premises, while our room had a strong, terrible odor of stale tobacco smoke!
Very clean hotel. Seemed well run. Parking was difficult
Lots of amenities, pool, fitness center, nice lounge So large parking is sometimes a bit far, however, plenty space available.
the pool was nice for the kids and we had adjoining rooms off the highway so the noise we were not used too
Complimentary breakfast should be included. Pool should be open for longer.
The comfort of the room, access to the pool, room service, the price, and the quick check in and out. What I didn't like was that me and my children were placed in a room (some short in communication between front desk and person checking the room), with a man we did not know. He was coming out of the bathroom, when we entered the room. Thank God he was nice, and also very understanding. That could have turned out bad since my daughter was the first to enter the room.
Clean hotel, comfortable beds -Very difficult to locate even with GPS -Sink was made for hobbits -Who doesn't offer free wifi with the hotel room these days? -Staff seemed untrained and uninformed about the local area or between shifts (the night shift didn't really know how to handle misinformation between different shifts)
Starting with the stringy towels (The kind that you would use to wash the dog) The one bar of soap, very small. The $9.95 a day charge for internet. The security bar for th door that was loose and stuck thought I was stuck in the room. No refrigerator and a small ice bucket. It help exactly two small glasses of ice. I was shocked that this was a Sheraton The desk clerks new nothing about our event or that the event had a block of rooms reserved. I will not stay there again.
The staff was fantastic. The hotel was beautiful and had everything you could want. The mattress was warped and we could not get comfortable.
All of the people that worked there were very kind, helpful, and went above expectations to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was good. More vegan/veg options (not sugar water fruit) would be great but overall can't complain. We were all able to eat. This was a lovely hotel and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Like I stated in the other area, more breakfast options for vegan/vegetarians that didn't include fruit floating in some sort of sugar water would be great. There was toast, oatmeal, and potatoes available. Cereal was available as well. Not a really HUGE issue just something for them to perhaps consider. Oh and ingredient list for things like the pancakes/pastries would be great for people with allergies.
Was the cheapest in the neighborhood, though still not cheap, imho. Street signs could be a lot clearer at the nearby corners. There should be signs at the parking lot exit to give you a clue.
location and price
very friendly staff internet connection could be improved, sometimes very slow
Value for money.
I enjoyed the continental breakfast was excellent. The bathroom tub held water in the tub. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
Restaurant was great. Like having a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Staff were friendly. Very small bathroom and toilet was really low to the ground.
size of the room The bar/resturant in the hotel didn't look open at any point when I past it and breakfast was of a low standard
The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, the hotel was quiet, the breakfast was very good, and the hotel was located close to downtown Boston without the downtown Boston price tag. One of the hotel elevators didn't work.
It was clean, the restaurant was pretty good as well overall value good Weird size toilet in bathroom, like something you'd find in a kindergarten bathroom and shower rod was hanging by command strips.
The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. With four kids it was nice to have a night just my husband and I. Boxk restaurant was delicious. Our dinner was excellent but the deserts was not. The room was quiet and the staff was attentive and friendly. I don't have a bad thing to say
Clean room, front desk was nice! Bar staff was trying to close early. They were rude trying to rush is out.
Great location clean room and quiet
Food was good I would like some type of a refund. The pool was closed down for an event and we never got to use it. That was the whole point of our stay to relax by the pool for my birthday. I was not able to do that so it ruined my stay.
Clean, up-to-date room LOUD A/C
The front desk associate had long, uneven and filthy fingernails. It was the first thing I noticed when he handed me my keys. Put a low - class spin on everything.
The hotel and rooms are very nice. Our only complaint was that the ac unit was extremely loud as it was running.
Love the contemporary design and clean look of the rooms. European feel. Breakfast buffet was convenient but overpriced and mediocre.
Location was great and easy to find. The overall hotel was loud, other visitors were loud and the room was noisy from them and the elevator.
Location, location, location.... Nothing
Nice boutique hotel. Incredibly friendly staff. I loved the high-quality coffee available 24/7 (Nespresso, not K-cups!). Also, water, orange juice, and soda available anytime for no charge.
Heated bathroom floors, reading lights above bed. No gym.
Arrived at 130pm to check in but was told room wasn't ready. When I returned later that night they told me they were overbooked and bumped me to a hotel 20 minutes away. Even though they paid for the cab it was an inconvenience.
Noise from highway
Enjoyed proximity to my training as well as short drive into the city. On site restaurant and bar had excellent service and great food. Somewhat noisy in proximity to highway.
I liked the proximity to Boston College. The room was cleam and comfortable. There was no foreworning of the extensive remodel going on. The hotel will be nice when finished, but was clearly not at its best. The restaurant was terribly disappointing-food was not good, and very expensive.
Parking is 1/3 of the cost to stay in the cheapest room! We paid $100 for a small room, and parking cost $30. When we were searching for hotels - we filtered with " free parking." When we got there - not only was it not free, it was OUTRAGEOUSLY priced.
The rooms were decent size and nice overall for the price. NO PARKING!!!! There was no mentioned of no parking when booked my stay and had to pay $28 a day for the parking garage. So it was a group of 6 people with 4 cars....$28/day each. :( The staffs at reception were rude when I asked about parking. This was not a good experience and would not recommend to anyone.
The hotel smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite being a nonsmoking hotel. The mattresses were old and broken down. There was trash littering the hallway that was never picked up during our stay. The hotel shuttle took nearly an hour to pick us up at the airport and when we left, we had to wait for quite awhile to take the shuttle back because they would only make trips at the top of the hour. The shuttle wasn't in use or anything, we just had to wait for their arbitrary timing, which we weren't informed of in advance. Really, the strong cigarette stench was the worst part -- our pajamas smelled of it the next day and had to be laundered.
The bed and pillows were comfy and it was near a little shopping center No microwave in our room
Staff was friendly, lots of choices for breakfast, comfy beds, and clean rooms! Location wasn't to bad, but I did end up taking a taxi to Boston. Better if you know your way around the public transport or can drive, not too bad if you don't mind cab fare!
We were traveling as a family with a toddler and chose this hotel as a place to sleep off jet lag after a grueling 19-hour flight. In that respect, it was perfect -- convenient to the airport, but quiet at night, with comfortable beds. The location across from the Assembly Outlets was excellent for our purposes. We only had one full day (two nights) and wound up spending our whole stay at the outlets -- although we could have easily taken the T into downtown Boston. With an older child, we might have done so. But for us the outlets were fine. The breakfast was pathetic, definitely your cheap-motel-off-the-highway-exit fare. If it had truly been a CHEAP motel off the highway exit, I wouldn't have complained -- but for 200 bucks a night, honestly, you'd expect something better. By comparison, we stayed at a Hilton in downtown Amsterdam for 200 EUROs a night (so maybe 20% more expensive) -- but with a breakfast that was light years better. As for the shuttle, it was a bit disappointing, in that it only made the run out to the airport once an hour. That left us sitting at the terminal bus stop for 40 minutes on arrival. The hotel staff was nice enough, but their directions on how and where to catch the shuttle could have been clearer. Also, there was no room service and no in-hotel restaurant. So overall, pretty mediocre.
Good location that we choose to get to airport easily. Our room was clean and spacious. Excellent value. The vanity area in our room was small and difficult for 2 to use. that may have been particular to our room.
Easy check-in and check-out. This is in good proximity to most of the downtown Boston sites. The hotel offers a shuttle to the train station as well. It was what I expected for the location, it wasn't the most up to date or clean hotel.
