Pros: It's a really nice and modern hotel. A/C works fine and the blinds do a reasonable job of limiting the light during the day. The staff were friendly and professional. Laura, one of the girls at reception speaks really good English. An earlier review said they were charged 19% VAT which tourists staying less than 90 days in Colombia do not have to pay. The hotel is now aware of this and we did not get charged the 19%. Booking.com automatically includes this tax in your booking so expect to pay less than the confirmed price. We would happily stay at this hotel again.
Cons: The shower takes a few minutes to get warm and it never really gets hot but it's sufficient because the weather is so warm in Neiva. We had room 2 which faces the street and suffers a little from traffic noise. It was ok when I used my earplugs.

Pros: This small hotel has small and comfortable rooms. Everything was very clean. Our room has unfortunately no window.
Cons: There is nothing in the hotel’s area but the bus terminal (10 Minutes walk). The receptionist took 10 minutes to open the main door when we arrived in the middle of the afternoon and she tried to con us with the room price (adding the TVA even if we are tourists staying for less than 90 days in Colombia).

Pros: We stayed two nights in this hotel. One night before and one night after our trip to the Tatacoa desert. They kept our luggage save until we returned. Gave us important informations about different prices in the desert, where we could benefit. Just a few walking minutes from the bus terminal. The staff was just lovely!! They prepared us the best breakfast (eggs, arepa, a ham/cheese sandwich, coffee, chocolat drink, fruit drink and even fruits!!!). The bed was suuuuper comfy and the room very clean. I really loved this place and the owner woman. Was like a little home away from home :-) Can highly recommand and would stay here again!

Breakfast was not included but it was really worth the extra payment: only 5k for a super Colombian meal, including arepas with cheese, eggs, bread, different kinds of tropical fruits, juice, coffee and chocolate!? The room was clean, comfortable, finally sleeping in the dark (no light entering unlike other hotels), with air-conditioning and fan. They were so kind to take us to the bus station for free and help us out with luggage and a shower after we had checked out. 24 h reception.

Pros: The best option in Neiva! The owner is awesome :) He gave me a room early in the morning before check in so that I could take rest after my long journey. While leaving made breakfast very early in the morning too and called a taxi. The location is also great, very close to everything (short walk to the terminal too). I highly recommend this place! Rooms are old and worn, yet kept well intact and technical equipement like minibar, air condition or bathroom is up to date. Comfy bed and nice garden setting not to far from downtown (5 minutes cab ride), positive attitude of the employees: very accomodating, friendly and helpful
Cons: Unfortuntaly there is a bar or discotheque not to far away and their music can be heard in the rooms at night. It is not loud but light sleepers may be disturbed and others may wish to bring earplugs.

Pros: The staff make this place. The guys on reception couldn’t have been more helpful - even though my Spanish needs a lot of work, they were really patient. They even printed off our bus tickets for us and arranged for sandwiches to be made for breakfast as we left at 5.30am.
Cons: Check in process took forever, I had to sign a lot of forms. Plus another two on checkout.

Pros: The parking is secure and across the street. Walking to restaurants and parks is easy and Neiva has a nice pedestrian commercial area in the center.
Cons: It seems the phase 'café con leche' means something different than 'coffee with milk'. Although Colombia has the best coffee in the world and various regional characteristics, an order of 'café con leche' results in a milky concoction with a slight coffee flavor. We finally started asking for black coffee with a small touch of milk. It seemed to work.

Cons: Breakfast was until 10:00. We went down at 9:30. All the tables were full or dirty. We waited and no one even greeted us. We finally sat down at a cleared table with a dirty tablecloth. The table was never set and we were ignored. It was a buffet breakfast and at 9:30 most of the food was gone and the little that was left was unappetizing. This was the case all 3 days of our stay. Except for the breakfast staff and food everything else about our stay was wonderful. I got up early and went down for coffee while my husband was still asleep and saw what looked like a fabulous gourmet breakfast....Don't miss it! Get up early! We'd stay here again.

Pros: Safe parking for motorcycles. Our room was fab overlooking the square, so we got to watch the parrots coming home to roost every night....brilliant. A good place to stay if you want to visit the Tatacoa Desert and can't get into Villavieja.

Pros: Friendly staff and the location is great - right on the main plaza and walking distance to the malecon (riverside walk with bars and restaurants) and several supermarkets are nearby. The secure parking is in the same building but is accessed by another entrance on a different street - but very easy and convenient for cars or motorcycles. The breakfast was very good also with eggs cooked to order and even tamales one morning. The pool is ok for swimming laps or just escaping the hot weather. Be sure to go to the rooftop (also where the gym is located) for panoramic views. You can walk to the BBC (craft beer) or restaurant called Beer24 and several good restaurants. WiFi worked well for me during my entire stay.
Cons: Really good experience and very few complaints. The pool area is nice but it is right in the middle of the building so all eyes are on you when swimming.

Pros: Easy to get to. Its about 2miles walk from airport or 1mile from bus station. It was my very first night in Colombia and I got ripped off by a taxi driver from the airport. The hotel manager helped me out so much and got my money back. Customer service alone was amazing. They were very kind. I had a single room, it was plenty big for myself and the bed was comfortable enough. No hot water but it was super hot so a cold shower was nice. I Would return here in the future.
Cons: Clinic across the street was a bit busy with ambulance noise but otherwise, had a great stay!

Pros: Comfortable, clean and spacy room with nice flat screen. Early check-in possible. Air con worked well (which is important). Also felt very safe staying there. Buy a water, beer or food near there in the city. It's more expensive in Villavieja and in the desert of Tatacoa!
Cons: The breakfast and especially the staff who served it could be a lot better. Sometimes it was very loud at night because of the hospital opposite to the hotel.

Pros: Bed comfortable, TV larger than most hotel rooms. The bathroom was great, and the shower was the highlight of the room, spacious, a nice large rain type shower head, and the perfect temperature, not too hot because Neiva is already hot enough lol. Overall excellent value for the price though.
Cons: Internet wasn't stable enough for me. In most of the room the signal was very weak... And even in one spot where it was better it was dropping off and coming back in. I really need internet when I travel, so i always notice that. Breakfast only offered one juice and it was tamarind which not everybody will like, if it will be only one juice it should be apple or orange imo. The breakfast itself was mediocre at best.

Cons: The rate was supposed to be $30, they wound up charging me 54, they said because I didnt have my passport with me there would be a charge that they would reverse for the IVA once I sent them an email with a picture of the entrance into Colombia, they have yet to get back to me on that. The base charge was still above the price quoted on the website, they play with the price of the dollar on that. I wish Booking.com would charge directly like some of your competitors.
