Worn/Dated furniture; Loud elevator whirring constantly. Spoke to other patrons they heard elevators too. Expensive valet left us standing on street corner because of construction. Could have brought car around in my view.
Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Comfy spacious rooms. Excellent bar/ restaurant with amazing ambience.
Only thing is the bathrooms had unsightly mildew around the shower edges. Not at all expected from a hotel of this calibre.
Check in fast and easy but around noon.. at 15 was traffic and a long queue waiting...
we only stayed for one night. I think if it was longer .. annoying sounds of the elevator, neighbors and from the street would disturb me very much.. View to central park... well maybe from hall :/ for this price they could put a bottle of water in the room. u must forgot drink coffie or tea.. or u can order via service room ofcourse paid.. $$$$ shame.
I liked the flower arrangements around the hotel, and the grand ceiling heights!
The rooms can be connected, which can be a plus for large group sizes, however for us it meant we could hear our neighbors who were quite loud and woke us up. Also, the cleanliness needed some work. The previous guests food were left in the refrigerator, the tub and sink drained so slow, and the overall cleanliness was lacking for the price point of the hotel. We were also expecting more of a view of Central Park based on photos advertised, we attached photos of what it was like.
Excellent location close to the park and with subway stations at the end of the block on both ends - made it very easy to get around the city and find our way back on the subway. Beautiful hotel overall and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Lobby lounge was wildly expensive - most expensive beer of my entire trip - $16USD for a glass of beer! (not even a pint)
