The location is good and the check in process is easy enough the staff is friendly.
The room is so small and the sheets and pillow case seem soiled and used not been changed. I had to request the front desk to change the bedding and they were happy to do so.
THE WOMAN AT THE RECEPTION
We got a room facing the busy street corner. Very noisy . And the funny thing was the desk clerk said “ oh yeah the 4 th floor is quiet “
Location was very central, near soho and TriBeCa and several subway lines.
The air conditioning was inconsistent at best on the 8th floor where our room was. Two of the three nights we were there the room got up to 79 degrees despite that we set the thermostat to 60 in an effort to cool the room. The hotel’s only response was that we would need to call every time this happened and they could use a tablet to turn the AC on our floor back on (clearly they were aware it shut off intermittently) and if that didn’t work they would “get the engineer”. The last night they had to bring us a fan at 2 am so we could try to get back to sleep. I told them multiple times during our stay that if they couldn’t get the AC working consistently I would need either a room on a floor where it was working better (my sister said the AC in her room on 5 worked great) or a refund so I could move hotels. The worst part was their totally false reassurances, which kept us in the room, suffering in the heatwave.
