Overview

Just blocks away from the heart of New York City, the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel is centrally located for travelers looking to enjoy the hustle and bustle of New York’s busiest areas. Built in 1962, the hotel features classic Art Deco details that brings guests back to one of the most beloved time periods in the city’s history.

The 685-guest room hotel sits right on 7th Avenue, making it ideally located for exploring the city. Broadway, Times Square, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center are just a small sample of the famous attractions located within a mile of the city and easily walkable for guests so inclined.

After enjoying the local attractions, guests can look forward to a stay in comfort. Standard rooms start at 280 square feet and upgrades to these units include Broadway view and Ball Drop view, for those who want to ring in the New Year in the Big Apple. The Manhattan also includes five different classes of suites, including a 1,275 square feet Presidential Suite.

The hotel does not have a restaurant on-site, but guests do have access to a grab-and-go breakfast before heading out for the day. However, dining options are hardly a problem for guests at the Manhattan. Being so close to all the action of Times Square means that guests are just steps away from a bevy of culinary destinations, featuring any cuisine imaginable.

Central location and Art Deco nostalgia make the Manhattan at Times Square Hotel a New York highlight.

The location was amazing. That’s about all that was amazing. Super old hotel. Lobby is an illusion. It looks updated and pretty but once you out of the elevator it looks old and scary. It was cheap so the price was on point. No air conditioning in the room but thankfully the windows opened to allow cooler weather could come in.

My friend and I walked into the dirtiest room. There was black mold along the baseboard in the bathroom. Mold under the sink and in the shower. The rug was wet just as you enters the room and it was stained. after walking around the room with socks my feet were black. The sheets had a strong smell of pee. Disgusting to say the least! The people cross from had a party every night. It was very loud....

They say, Location, location, location... well this hotel has that, steps from Broadway and Times square. It is an aging property, that while reasonably clean and comfortable, is in need of some basic maintenance (Cracking/peeling ceiling in bathroom, unrepaired holes, dripping/flowing faucet). Every request (to English speaking staff) was handled wrong... (Asked for a late clean, and got a refrig...

Pros (+) The location is great.
Cons (-) The hotel staff is less than friendly. The hotel rooms need a remodel. The hallways smell like someone is smoking weed. The ice machines don't work. The AC doesn't work most of the time.

Pros (+) Location was fantastic, we were able to walk to Colbert, Beetlejuice, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, and close to several train lines to get us to our other attractions.
Cons (-) Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room

Pros (+) The location is superb and the staff is friendly. We had a decent view over Broadway. The price is b based on location.
Cons (-) Hotel is in desperate need of a Makeover. Missing grout in the bathroom, yellowing bathtub with soft spots, faucets missing screws and a thermostat that only knows "very warm", despite seeing it to 65 degrees (18C), no fan in the bathroom, are just a few of the issues. The parking garage under the Hotel is operated by a different company and is a disaster, both pulling in and especially when leavi...
