Niagara Falls Motels

My 11 year old daughter is not shy when it comes to asking for help. She befriended one of the housekeepers, Darlene, early on in our stay. Darlene was so kind to my daughter even making sure to tell me what a ray of sunshine she was.

Clean room, very nice staff and close to everything. Pool was clean and relaxing after a hot day at the falls. Hotel is far enough from the crowds but easy walk to falls and US side and Clifton Hill.

The parking at $15 for guests and non guests are the same, somewhat ridiculous. The breakfast buffet is $10 and no free coffee at the hotel lobby. Very high prices after spending money to stay there.

l was book hotel in your website, totally inconsistent with the online description，Outdoor swimming pool did not open, no water， Thirty two inch television is actually only a very small old-fashioned TV, And also no signal does not work，I ordered a king bed room, give me a queen bed room, all are not correspond, too bad, I'd like a refund

We booked our hotel using kayak and hotels.com. Once we got to the hotel we notice the parking lot was almost empty (not normal for Niagara Falls). The ''manager' show us the room, the walls had graffiti on them (male parts), the bathroom was dirty, there was pee stains on the floor, mirrors dirty, etc. once i removed the blanket from the bed the sheets where stain and there was cigarette ashes and a used match. I asked the manager to show me another room, and the next room was even worse, he finally showed me another one and I said.. are you cleaning the room? he said the rooms were clean. I asked for my money back, he said to me call the website. I called hotels.com and they said.. we will cancel the room but there is not refund. I spoke with hotels.com management and they didn't do nothing to help, they basically they told me to bad so sad and suck it up. The pictures on the website doesnt match the rooms, the rooms are not in sanitary conditions to be rented, there is construction material everywhere. The saddest part is that while we were dealing with the 'manager' another two couples where dealing with the same situation, their money didnt get back, the hotel is a scam. either you stay in the most filthy room ever or you dont get your money back. Thanks God I am a resident from the falls and I have gone to the city hall to put a complain, I am calling the tourist department and the health department. I was so disappointed that hotels.com didnt do a thing to help or at least to show some support or empathy.

You get what you pay for.

It's too far from the falls, holes in the walls, paint peeling from the walls. Bath tubs are old and dirty looking. It needs to be updated. So many other reason why not to stay to list.

Basic hotel but clean and fresh with very good staff. Lots of on-site parking and within easy walking distance of the Falls and other attractions.

Parking is not included if purchased through someone other than Motel 6. There was an issue with the shower.

It was quiet. The owners were very pleasant to talk with.

We went for breakfast, but there really was no breakfast as advertised, just a snack-in-a-corner.

It is close enough to the city (3 km away), which is nice and quiet. There are eateries within walking distance. There is microwave in the room which is great. The room may not be luxurious, but it is definitely clean and functional and reasonably priced.

It would be nice if there was bread, toast, jam and butter, instead of the mini breaded croissants, muffins and donuts that you can get from at the neighbourhood grocery store.

I need working wifi when I stay at a motel, and this hotel didn't have it. Everything else was adequate, but they claim to have Internet/wifi and it was unusable. I'm fairly certain it's a modem issue, but when I called the front desk the reply I got was, "Well, it's working for me". Rather than admitting they have outdated or non-functioning wifi, they tried to imply it was my laptop or user error that was the problem.

The people are nice, but the room and furniture are ugly. Breakfast is very bad.

the motel is close to the Falls (7 min drive), but the same time it is in a more quite area. the price is very ok and so is the room itself.

It's a funky cheap motel. Sheets were clean, room was clean and staff was friendly.

I liked the fact that after the first night of no heat in my room, I had to go and ask for the manager to turn it on in my room. When the sun went down the second day, a nice fellow came and brought a portable plug in heater for me.

No one asked me how I was doing- ever. No housekeeping inquiries by any employee for a fresh towel or sheet or blanket.

Came from the US to stay at Niagara falls. The hotel is older, but very clean and the owners are very accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly good, and the rooms are equipped with a stove/sink/refrigerator, and has pots/pans/table settings, which is nice when you're traveling. The outside area was very nice with a pool, playground, and picnic area with a grill. The outside area was decorated with plenty of flowers the the owners keep up very well. Overall, or would definitely recommend it.

The tv in our room went in and out (my parents said theirs worked fine so maybe it was just our room), and there were not very many outlets (so you had to unplug the AC to plug in the coffee pot)...But these were minor inconveniences.

Great place to stay..can't beat the price.

To say I paid over $200 that room was very rough. Stains on the floor and cracks in the walls everywhere.

It was good experience there. not too far from the Niagara and has bus service right from the door.

Just that it was in Niagara Falls and we were able to walk downtown.

The bathroom was dirty and the tub paint had a massive whole in it. My shower whether in the morning or night was always cold. The barbecue facilities was not what I expected. There was one tiny run down barbecue that looked like it was ready to fall apart.

I was close to the falls. Walking distance to a good Indian food restaurant next door and an IHOP was also next door to this place. We did not need to drive to get food. other then that nothing good to say.

No elevator that we could find for out third floor stay. The stairwells where disgustingly dirty. The room was not dirty but run to the ground. I'm a contractor and the fire escape panic door hardware on the first floor exiting door was broken cause a total fire escape hazard. If this place was in the USA it would have been shut down by the fire department long ago. I did not feel safe if there was an emergency. Run down 4 channels on the TV. A new flat screen TV does you no good when you have no stations to watch. Pass on this place. Kayak has this place all wrong on the rating. I'm pissed I used them.

There was no coffee maker or fridge in room. No parking when we returned for the evening, had to create a spot. Towels were horrible, the free internet worked only in the early morning.

The staff was lovely. I quickly got a reservation there after having a horrible experience with the a1 Motel, and it was a wonderful change.

Everything was fine. The bathroom was so so, but other than that, lovely.

I liked how affordable the rooms were. Coming from out of the country the staff made our transition good. The owner was very friendly and knew a lot of things to do around town. From my room we could see the gorge. The location on River Road made it an easy drive to the falls and back. The biggest reason I wanted to stay at the Crystal Inn was the price but I was pleasantly surprised with the service, rooms, location, and bang for the buck. I'll be back.

The only things I can really think of is the rooms were a little outdated and the Internet was down (due to wind)

Place isn't clean. Very bossy staff and owners. Small, smelly rooms. AC doesn't function. No instructions for operating equipments. Wiring is open, loose and scary. Trash bins are small and main trash bin are overflowing for two days. Bees and insects are all around. Requests to adjust customers plans are non responsive. Promise breakfast, however the petty things like toaster don't operate. Breakfast is served on a small table and place for 32 rooms. Long lines and wait time, which will force you skip the breakfasts.

Family owned motel with a great hostess. She was above and beyond helpful in our short stay in Niagara Falls!

The Rex is family owned and the members I met were fantastic. Very helpful, friendly and super kind. It was my birthday weekend and left a beautiful flower bouquet and note and both nights warm pasteries were left in our room.

The bed was a little uncomfortable but other then that everything else was great!

Good location

Extremely cramped room barely fitting two double beds which were extremely soft; if there was room we would have taken mattresses and placed on floor! We had reservations for 4 but only 2 hand towels and two wash cloth cloths; told front desk and they gave us two towels which we had 4 of already. Clock was not plugged in and when we plugged it in we discovered why - clock did not work. One electric socket had a small extension with extra plugs and then we figured out why - socket not being used did not work. To top it off when I checked out I requested receipt and they did not give one!

The room wasn't cleaning, they just pick up the garbage and housekeeper the bed. This all poor service and poor cleaning

Staff very helpful and friendly, plenty of free parking. Room was clean and as described. Location was excellent, within close walking distance of Falls. Reasonable price as well.
