9.2 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful warm welcome. Helpful explanations and recommendations. Excellent location - very close to the magnificent Jardins de la Fontaine. Quiet street. Delicious breakfast. Above all, friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Cons: We liked everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really very personal, warm and helpful welcome. Nice room, good bed and shower. Wifi worked well. Breakfast with local and homemade products. Good location in a quiet neighbourhood, but still near the city centre. The owners have great recommendations for good restaurants. We went for dinner to one of the places that were advised to us, and we didn't regret it at all!
Cons: The house is in the second part of a small one-way street. Without a house number, the gps directs you to the middle of the street when you arrive by car, so you should just drive a bit further, turn around a square and enter the street at the end. It's just a good thing to know, not a negative thing of course. And certainly not negative, because we could park our car right in front of the house, for free :-)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved my stay here! Patrick & Pierre are very friendly, Patrick immediately served me some cake & coffee when I arrived and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast there the following morning. Patrick was also helpful in pointing out things to do around town as it was my first visit to Nimes. The location was excellent, just about 7 minutes walking to the historic center and 2 minutes from the lovely park Jardins de la Fontaine. About 20 minutes from the train station. Would definitely stay here on a return trip to Nimes!
Cons: As noted in other reviews, they are smokers so if you don't like that you might not want to stay here. Also, Google Maps led me in the wrong direction when I arrived :( but fortunately I was able to connect with Patrick and I was able to find my way to the correct address.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts trying to guess all our wishes, delicious breakfast with home made cookies and other goodies.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was yummy and parking was easy.
Cons: They are both heavy smokers so if the smell of smoke gets to you, be advised.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Patrick is so friendly, kindness and helpful. My wife and I are Deaf and hard to communication, but he find another way to make communication with us by the mobile with google translator. We have had good conversation. We liked him. He told us about Nimes, where we could visit, like restaurant, sightseeing, etc.. He know lot about Nimes. The room was so nice, cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast, we enjoyed to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: If I'm ever in Nimes again I know where il be staying. So clean. So comfy. Really welcoming even with my limited French. 10 min slow walk to the arena (felt safe as a lone female doing the walk at night) Amazing home made jams with breakfast.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay within walking distance of Nimes. Great facilities.
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was as described in terms of facilities; it has a nice pool, decent rooms and breakfast is good
Cons: It missed some opportunities to make the stay more comfortable and enjoyable, e.g. breakfast was served inside when there is a patio outside; there is no tea or coffee making facility in the room and no water provided. It is not close enough to the centre to walk in summer heat. You may have to insist to find the owner in order to get in when you arrive. The reception area is not decorated attractively
10.0 Excellent
Pros: gorgeous place! Nimes is an ancient Roman city so the streets are interesting to navigate but google maps helped with that. Maryon and Pascal were awesome hosts! breakfast was stunning. the property beautiful. I wished we could have stayed longer, thoroughly enjoyed our time here. I would stay here again would recommend it!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very kind and welcoming. The swimming pool was amazing for these hot summer days. Our room was small but comfortable and well decorated. We enjoyed basing ourself here for three nights to explore Nimes and the surrounding area, including Pont du Gard, Uzes, Avingon, Arles...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location. Friendly host who gave us great tips for the following days adventures.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern, spacious room with small terrace in a typical French family home, just a five minute drive from centre of Nimes but offering privacy and seclusion. Comfortable bed. Host, Maryon (speaks excellent English), could not have been more friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. Delicious continental breakfast. Lovely pool area with sun loungers and fresh towels - great for cooling off after long days out. Particularly special to meet the whole family on the last evening of our six night stay.
Cons: Bathroom a little small. Wifi reception in room was poor - better in breakfast room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big air conditioned room, good breakfast, nice pool and sun loungers. Great host.
Cons: we knew it was a little out of town but hadn't realised it was uphill but we managed and it kept us fit
7.9 Good
Pros: Pascal and Maryon were charming hosts. Continental breakfast was superb. The accommodation is fine and the bedroom comfortable, the only drawback being the lack of a window to open at night as the patio door leads directly to the front gates. Overall very acceptable.
Cons: Located in a hilly residential area on the outskirts of Nimes. If you haven't got a car you would need to be pretty fit to get anywhere. And you DON'T want to have a car in Nimes at present. They are installing a tram system and the roadworks and consequent jams are horrendous. Without satnav we would still be looking for La Garriguette. Wifi is advertised but don't expect much. It is poor and patchy. They are awaiting fibre installation but until then forget it.

Good size pool and lots of cosy corners. Kitchen @disposal of guests. Generous breakfast. Very comfy bed. Bikes available to go downtown. Only 5 minutes to the hussle and bussle of the city centre
Cons: Nothing really, but I would recommend couples to take a bungalow over a double bedroom for only a small extra charge. Perfec
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere, the owners were great, great scenery, peaceful,
Cons: No complaints, would have like to have TV in english and a place to charge phone, etc but that did not hamper our stay.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff ( composed by only 2 gentlemen) is ok and they were trying to give us the maximum support for everything.
Cons: The bedroom was ok but not cleaned enough and with smell of closes room. The door lock was not working so it lead to keep always open our room, luckly the staff was always at home insuring the safety of our equipment. The breakfast was sufficient but the breakfast room was dirty and not warm, we where having breakfast with 16 degree.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a stopover on our travel to Spain. The location is beautiful in a nice garden with big trees and a nice pool. The bungalow, clean with a seperate terrace.
Cons: We had a stopover on our travel to Spain. The location is beautiful in a nice garden with big trees and a nice pool. The bungalow, clean with a seperate terrace.

Pros: Just a great place to stay! Hosts were really great, great breakfast, friendly and helpful! The Nîmes colleseum was amazing! Would definitely book here again.
Cons: Nothing! Worth the little drive to get there for sure!
7.9 Good
Pros: Claude was very welcoming. The setting is very peaceful and I imagine beautiful in summer with the pool and jacuzzi. There was great coffee and lovely home made jams. There’s a kitchen for guests to use which was helpful as we arrived late and brought food with us.
Cons: It’s not within walking distance of restaurants or the town. Unfortunately the night we stayed it was cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was very comfortable and located in beautiful private gardens, secluded with fruit trees, the hosts were so welcoming, quiet with a great pool and facilities. The breakfast included some of the best croissant and home made jam I've ever tasted.
Cons: We were so happy with the place, we didn't really have any problems with the place at all, we loved it, except for the dreaded mosquitos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality, wonderful people. Beautiful setting and surrounding, could easily have stayed longer. Just loved the garden and the fish pond. Serenity!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere - it was magical. The peacefulness- it was like an escape. The charm, warmth and friendliness of our hosts Claude and Patrick - always there to help, but left you alone to chill and relax. The cats - just because I like cats. The pool, the plants, the flowers, the crickets, the breakfast, the ‘make yourself at home’ brief when you arrive, the numerous hidden seating and chill areas, all so wonderfully created within the garden areas. Basically, everything.
Cons: Leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a wonderful old wooden mill converted into a pleasant hotel providing that elusive homey feeling.

Pros: Wonderful and quirky but very comfortable
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely charming house with an art collection and collection of countless number of pieces from all over the world. I can only imagine how many interesting stories lies behind them. And the concept of the house itself - just amazing, with central garden, kitchen and common lounge; design as you would expect from interior designers! The host (JL) was so kind and friendly. And breakfast well above the french average (I mean hotels/B&B). Location of the house is very good, and private parking of great value for those who come by the car.
Cons: Wi-Fi signal in our room was quite poor. But this was not a major problem since we are not addicted to internet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very courteous!! Also the parking was excellent as it was right next to the B&B. The B&B itself was beautiful, unusual, artsy, nothing like we’ve ever seen or stayed at. The centre of the house was an unusual outdoor garden/patio. At first we could not find the location and being close to the centre the area just before the location had old houses with graffiti, and groups of young men on the street. We were a bit discouraged thinking what have we gotten into and then when we walked through the door it was magic. Only stayed one night but walking distance to majority of sites and shopping so we were able to see many things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor! Fabulous breakfast! Great location!
Cons: Everything was fabulous!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every aspect showed thought and care, extremely comfortable, ultra stylish, superb breakfast, and Shalom, the gorgeous, friendly cat.

Pros: Living in a house/mansion - more. ‘Hotel particuliere- with such wonderful 18th-19th C décor & fascinating collection of objets d’art with extraordinary plantings was an aesthetic pleasure!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and a large, pretty room, with a nice bathroom. Helpful welcoming staff
Cons: I have trouble climbing stairs, so lack of an elevator was s challenge
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a little disappointing. Perhaps because we were usually the last to arrive we had to ask for extra supplies which was a bit embarrassing.
Cons: Not a lot and the pluses out did the minuses. Finding our way to the hotel by car was very difficult.
7.5 Good
Cons: I had great difficulty finding the hotel by car. The hotel is in a pedestrianised area and we eventually found an underground car park and had to find hotel on foot. It would have been easy and most helpful to have been advised about this in advance, perhaps giving the name of the nearest car park and directions for walking to hotel.
9.5 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel which proved good value for money. Both owners were very welcoming and informative with well put together written info as to how to get to the off street parking garage and how to make best use of the facilities in the room. Good recommendations given as to the restaurants nearby which proved useful, given our stay was on a Sunday. (We went to the Les Magnolias which was really good).
Cons: Nothing to mention.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the large room and especially the air-conditioning (as it was close to 40 degrees), which was a godsend. Great location from the Train station and the Centre of the Town. The hotel owners are so helpful, providing great dining suggestions. The room was really big compared to Paris hotel rooms. We were only here for the night but would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Personel spreaks really good english and is really nice. The location very good and the price quality rating is the best i ever had!
Cons: Its a little old hotel so the noise reduction between the rooms and sound insulation of the guide shafts is a little poor.
Le Pré Galoffre - Nimes - Building
11
8.5 Excellent (820 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Le Pré Galoffre in Nîmes (Costières), you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Costieres Stadium. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely setting, set back off a busy road with lots of trees for shady parking. Staff were very sweet and helpful. 2 swimming pools, rooms were quiet, bed linen was lovely. Tiny mini bars in rooms allow for storage of bottled water. Decor is cool, and restful. The 15-20 minute drive into "old" Nimes was straightforward.
Cons: Finding the place wasn't easy. Car navigation system could have used some coordinates. And the signs for the property actually read Mas Le Pré Galoffre (not Hotel - a tiny point, but when you're hunting in a foreign country the fine details matter!) Save your money on the breakfast - the overall selection was very poor (and swarming with flies) and at EUR 13 per person, you'd be better off to find a coffee shop for fresh fruit juice (rather than carton), fresh pastries and properly ripened fruit. The fine print for the booking reveals a surcharge for pets - its EUR 15 per animal per night (!) which quickly bumps up the overall cost of your stay. If you have a lot of luggage, be mindful you'll be carrying it about 100m over a heavily pebbled drive - you won't want to break your suitcase wheels on that! The glass shower screen is tiny - so be prepared for some gymnastics to shower without flooding the floor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Grounds and buildings are beautiful and staff extremely friendly. Room lovely and very comfy bed.
Cons: Bathroom a little bit dated and food menu a bit tasteless despite being set in an amazing terrace.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had to check in late for some unavoidable reason and the staff was very accommodative to receive us a bit later in the night. Also they did remind us of a back pack which was left behind during checkout. Very courteous and helpful staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A delightful building set in the French countryside but just a stones throw from historic Names. A very restful place with a calming atmosphere. Very helpful staff, I would certainly recommend staying here.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting, close to Nimes, pleasant surroundings, quiet, relaxed, nice and comfortable rooms with small fridge. We were given two rooms at the price of a family one as they were out of family rooms.
Cons: We were greeted quite unpersonally and without information (wifi, breakfast) and that always makes you feel less welcome even if this is a nice hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The loft we stayed in was perfect. Decorated to a high standard with extremely comfortable beds. The pool was a great place to relax after travelling in the morning and for a wonderful poolside breakfast the next day. The staff on duty couldn’t have been more helpful.
Cons: No faults with the hotel at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was charming. The staff attentive and accommodating. We arrived late and they had run out of the main course for dinner and offered us a nice salad and reduced the price of the meal.
Cons: The internet was not working. The shower glass wall was not wide enough to operate the shower head attached to the wall without water going everywhere. We used the removable hand held shower head to wash. It was fine. We had a family room with two twin beds in the mezzanine. A nightlight to light the way down the spiral staircase would be useful. We left the bathroom light on with the door ajar as a substitute.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Likely to make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
Cons: Tiny, cheaply finished rooms. Rooms stripped of basics (soap/waste bins). Feels like a cheap motel. 20-minute drive from Nîmes proper. Pool tiny and dirty. Understaffed. Food service on a porch only. For those whose prime concern is cost; no joy otherwise.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful and stylish place. All personal were very friendly, despite I don’t speak french

5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean new apartment with some nice touches particularly the toiletries and big fluffy towels.
Cons: Poorly equipped kitchen, no kettle or even waste bin!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Clean and spacious apartment. Really friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing bad to say.
6.3 Good
Pros: The apartments of the old people's residence - located in a new residencial area with no decent restaurants in the vicinity - are clean and quiet, but poorly equipped.
Cons: The double bed was small (1,35 cm wide) and hollow. Not one hanger in the closet. No hairdryer in the bathroom. The kitchen had a kettle and just one small saucepan. Cutlery and plates for four. No bottle opener, No sharp knifes, not even a garbage can, Breakfast was ridiculous: a hot drink, poor quality orange juice, a choice of bread with honey or jam and you had to make your breakfast choice one day ahead. Youghurt and fruit was extra. We had the breakfast in the sittting area, where the old people gather in the afternoon. No sign of a restaurant. Sunday, the day of our arrival, the dinner menu you could order from somewhere was potato soup, pizza and cheese. Hardly a gourmet choice. The staff in the reception hardly spoke anything but French. Neither we, nor the receptionist could get WiFi to work the first day. When we finally got it to work the following day, the signal was so poor that it was useless.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was a great location and the staff were lovely Great parking too
Cons: The room was really hot and the air con didn’t seem to work. Also would be nice to have salt, pepper, oil and some cooking utensils. We only had one pot and when asked the staff provided a frying pan. Also didn’t realise I would be staying in a retirement village.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it was surprisingly close to the city center. On the map it looked like it was far, but actually Nîmes is pretty small, and the city center was just a 15min walk. The staff was very friendly, the apartment was very clean, the size of the rooms was convenient, I liked having bathrobes and slippers, towels were as well good quality. I always love having a kettle, there were a couple of teas and instant coffee waiting for us. There was a balcony, electrical shutters and AC. It was very calm, we can't say the neighbors would party all-night long! ;) Free parking for one car underground. We were 4 travelers. At booking.com I was proposed to book 2 apartments : one for 3 and one for 2. I noticed in the detail of the apartment there was a double bed in one room and 2 single beds, so I guessed there was room for 4. I called the property and they confirmed that we could be 4 adults in an apartment. So if you want to book for 4, check the details and call the property, they're very nice :)
Cons: It wasn't the hotel's fault, but when I Googled "Domytis Sophia" I got on maps a location at the SouthEast, close to the bus station, and I went to that point. The real one is at NE, so check the real address and don't Google the name on maps.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything: swimming-pool, room, kitchen, balcony...
Cons: no
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place lies around 35 kms away from Avignon and 38 Kms away from Montpellier so kind of midway, so if your a fan of site seeing you have Avignon and if your a fan of beaches Montpellier and the area around it are just around the corner. We were quite surprised since we got quite a big appartment not just a normal hotel room. We got a double bed bedroom, a single bedroom, a huge toilet and a big living room with a kitchen with all appliances for a quick snack or home made dinner. Not to forget the free underground garage.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely spacious apartment, very clean, parking included
Cons: No breakfast buffet or room. Have to order in advance. Not negative but worth being aware of: this is a senior citizen residence that rents out the apartments not yet rented out permanently
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great apartment, spacious, clean and everything new, can’t say much about other services cause we only stayed one night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very roomy, well designed room. Even bath robes and slippers were supplied. In fact this is a place for seniors and they also have some hotel rooms. Nice little indoor swimming pool and infrared sauna, both for a little extra. Free parking garage.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything. Will go back
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful surroundings- wish we had had longer to enjoy them. Breakfast very good and staff very kind. Had good restaurant suggestions.
Cons: Beautiful building and garden tres jolie but at the end of it all facilities basic for what it cost. Public parking we had reserved (and we knew would cost €14 per day)was not available but proprietor allowed us to park in his garden which we thought very kind. But then he charged us €14 for it!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bed was great, host was great and extremely welcoming, Location excellent, cleanliness very good.
Cons: The shower was not a standing type, hard to take a shower standing up without splashing everywhere, very inconvenient for people who are used to having that type of facility, and with knee issues. The handle of the shower head was broken so it was hard to hold the shower head as well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was fabulous, breakfast was actually beautiful. Rooms large and so was the bathroom
Cons: Garden was neglected
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house. Excellent service. Attention to detail with period decor and furnishings. Magnificent mosaic floors.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Outstanding, small luxurious hotel with excellent personal service. A very short walk from the old city centre. It was the sort of hotel where being in your rooms is at least as nice as visiting the city!
Cons: Some choice and variation in the breakfast would have been nice. Announcements from the railway station could be heard from about 7am.
6.0 Good
Pros: Friendly proprietor, lovely garden and pool, comfortable bed and room.
Cons: Not quite as central as we would have liked. Poor broadband. a little noisy from the station.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My room was slightly apart from the main residence but provided privacy. Coming and going was easy. The location is excellent: close to the center but quiet. The family staff were welcoming and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was somewhat overpriced but how can on complain about the freshly squeezed orange juice and melon slices?
5.8 Okay
Pros: Old fashioned style B&B. Good ac in the room.
Cons: Lack of amenities at hotel. Poor breakfast for 21 Euro’s per person. Expensive without the hotel experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really close to the railway station, the hotel has just 5 bedrooms and is really a historic house from the early 1900s with about 99% of all furniture, fittings including lovely tiled floors. Breakfast was superb with plenty of fruit, nuts, freshly squeezed juice, yogurt, croissant, baguette, coffee, etc. The garden is a delight as is the small swimming pool where the water was always refreshing even with an air temperature of 36C. Nìmes is one of the hottest places in France, but there is always some shade to be found in the garden particularly from mid afternoon onwards. We actually had a picnic lunch under the pergola everyday, which was 50% in the shade at lunchtime. Nîmes is a great place to be in the south of France with less tourists than in other places closer to the sea, but culturally there is a lot going on here. Our host gave us some very good restaurant tips.
Cons: Nothing really of note, the old fashioned shower where you have to hold it while standing/sitting in the bathtub might annoy some customers, but for us this was all part of the authenticity and charm of the place.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location great with own parking (at a reasonable cost of 10€) and the personal was really helpful when trying to book a restaurant for the evening. Decent place to stay.
Cons: Bathroom setup a bit weird with the shower in the room and a bit worn, but clean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location for train travel, comfy beds and good breakfast.
Cons: A kettle would have been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of space in room for travel. Beds generous and very comfortable - clean crisp sheets. Bathroom excellent - well furnished with amazing drench shower. Eco toiletries really nice & fresh - hair has felt amazing & I usually use Aveda. Breakfast very relaxed with generous selection of products. Croissants nice and warm and very buttery. Nicer than recent 5 star hotels I have recently stayed - changed my opinion of "budget" to "great value".
Cons: Larger hand towels as I tend to use one as a turban to dry my hair. Nit picking really.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location.Friendly&helpful staff.Comfortable bed.Good,clean bathroom facilities.Good breakfast
Cons: We can find no fault with our stay
7.5 Good

6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were excellent
Cons: Hard to find- very basic room
9.7 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in December. We thought it was great. The hotel is right behind the train station, which was great for us, as we were using the train for transport. A short walk through the train station and diwn a picturesque walkway got us right to the middle if the old town. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Breakfast was included and snacks were available all day and also included in the rate. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms are great! The only negative is they they are a bit small and a little dark. But, the space is used very well and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great value for the money!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful breakfast and the perfect location - especially if you are arriving by train.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location next to railway station on main line from Paris to Barcelona. Also close to Nimes town centre and Arena. Breakfast simple but adequate. Evening meals a bonus, especially on weekdays - the 'plat du jour' was brilliant and meant that we didn't have to go hunting for a restaurant in town.
Cons: A basic hotel but a step up from basic Ibis or Ibis budget, although still very good value. This one was very well run. Not much to dislike unless you're very picky.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean spacious room, welcoming and helpfull staff. Opposite train station.
Cons: Not applicable
7.7 Good
Pros: Location, opposite the railway and bus station. Cheap rates. Not a lot of services, but is good enough Relatively comfortable room
Cons: In comparison to other ibis budget, I missed a microwave for public use. Very, very slow water drainage in shower. Some nights, shower was more an alternance of hot and cold water than a mix. Internal building sounds, like doors closing, were more a problem than external soundproofing, for me well blocked by the window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, efficient and good location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent shower. Excellent location just opposite the train station and the bus stop for the airport. Good breakfast.
Cons: Room a bit sparse but good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything. Very clean. Aircon in the rooms. You couldn't hear anything outside which was really good. Friendly staff and spoke english.
Cons: N/A
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Exactly what we needed - a great value hotel near the city centre for a one night stay on our way further north. A clean and comfy stay with a great view of the city from our 6th floor room! Near the Roman Arena.
Cons: The hotel parking was too hard to find so we ended up in the railway station parking nearby.
7.1 Good
Pros: The welcome by a young woman was very pleasant. An offered breakfast toward the problem with the lavabo.
Cons: the channeling of my sink was completely obstructed, the water evacuated badly. I was offered to change rooms but I preferred to stay. The problem was the clogged ducting and the poor hygiene that resulted from it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I had a good clean room. No noise.
Cons: To repeat that I wanted to take the breakfast to the Ibis style whereas that I explained that well when arrived.
7.5 Good
Cons: There were no eggs - just bread and croissants
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location right next to the station was just what I needed. Everything fine.
Cons: There were no drinks and snacks except from machines. This makes for a soulless feel. In France there are generally no coffee making facilities in room, which, however, would solve the issue.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and in a great position near the railway station and a short walk to the arena.
Cons: They overcharged me but advised me of their error and corrected it.

Pros: Location, cleanliness and staff friendliness
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff and quality of food.

Cons: The roomservice option were too limited and the food did not taste good.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good quality real fresh orange juice especially nice and young chef and waiting stafff very friendly and efficient
Cons: Everything else- rude front desk staff, no double bed as promised and no apology or attempt to rectify, uncomfortable bed, several items in bathroom broken or damaged, room service food very poor as extremely over cooked
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff (most of the time)
Cons: 1. No lift working to the pool which meant walking across a road in a towelling dressing gown- to the amusement of people in reception. 2. No towels left at the pool by 19.00hours. 3. 30 minutes wait for an omelette to be cooked at breakfast was unacceptable-the explanation that ‘all the staff are students’ was ridiculous. All in all poor value for money. A hotel at this price should be able to do a lot better.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice size room
Cons: Leaking taps bidet removed Food poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious well equipped room. The wedding we attended was had excellent food and service.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Initial check in. Front of house we’re dealing with our check in and another was clearly dealing with a complaint but our member of staff seemed to leave us and deal with the other problem. Not good customer service. However it was excellent in your restaurants.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for us, an easy pleasant walk to both station and old town. Beds were comfortable. Having a bath as well as shower was lovely.
Cons: The fridge was intrusively noisy. Layout of separate toilet, kitchen and bathroom was odd and really inconvenient! No washbasin in the toilet so you have to walk round through the kitchen area to the bathroom (or wash your hands in the kitchen sink which may not be hygienic). The kitchen was in our opinion over-equipped (the room was for 2 people but there was lots of cutlery, crockery, glasses, saucepans etc) which meant no cupboard space for food that didn't need refrigerating. The table was very tiny even for 2 people to eat at.
6.7 Good
Pros: Bathroom and bed
Cons: Reception welcoming a bit cold.
6.3 Good
Pros: Carene at check in was very helpful. Washer/dryer available was very much appreciated. Room very spacious.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Loved the interior of the building.
Cons: Very difficult to find the hotel and parking was unavailable at the hotel. The split bathroom was awkward as it was on either side and behind the bed, which meant one side of the bed had no bedside table.

Cons: Difficult to find the property and difficult to drive in this city.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely historic hotel in quiet street. The room was spacious and the bed large and comfortable.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly.Beautiful chandeliers. The medieval building created a nice setting for the hotel.
Cons: The bed was too short and the room too small. We found the shower very annoying because there was nowhere to hang up the nozzle and It was necessary to hold it in one hand.It makes it hard to wash ones hair. I thought the gin and tonics that we ordered were very expensive and not very well mixed either. We could not use our iPad inside the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was quite good for us. The breakfast was amazing! Staff were helpful. Having the shower and the bathtub was really useful for us. The towels were thick and a good size. The room was a bit bigger than many of the usual room sizes. We loved having the balcony too!

Pros: We liked everything except the very narrow beds which made sleeping a real challenge. Otherwise exceeded expectations in every way. Great staff especially the guys on the front desk .
Cons: See above
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location right near the arena. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, quiet, comfortable room.
Cons: Could not get to hotel parking. Street in front was blocked and we did not know an alternate route to get to the hotel parking. had to park in nearby city underground garage which meant we have to drag our luggage up and down steps.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Parking in the hotel car park was easy and reasonably priced. Reception was airy and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very central location, just across the esplanade to the Arena, 20 minute walk to the Jardins and Diana's temple and lots of bars and mid priced restaurants within easy walking distance. Pedestrianised immediate area so no real traffic noise. Tourist bus stop opposite hotel which did a circuit of the city, taking you to all the popular points of interest, but not in service when we were there due to road works. Air con in room was efficient and very welcome as it was baking hot when we were in Nimes. Nice bathroom, lovely toiletries and good hairdryer! Quiet room. Great coffee machine in breakfast room. Free refreshing welcome drink on arrival.
Cons: Breakfast was OK, very limited cooked food, basically just eggs, plenty of bready type things to eat, not worth the 16 euro price. View from bedroom was disappointing, overlooked block of flats and a concrete wall.
7.5 Good
Pros: Fabulous position. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Air con no very good Keys to room terrible. Had to ask for new key every time entering Check in/check very slow
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons: The parking places were small.
6.7 Good
Pros: Convenient location for Nimes centre. There were a few restaurants nearby.
Cons: When we arrived there was a sign saying that their carpark was full, so we had a horrendous time parking nearby. When we checked in we were told there was plenty of space in their carpark, they just hadnt bothered to remove the sign. We ended up paying for both carparks.

Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel Abalone places you in the heart of Nîmes, within a 15-minute walk of Nîmes Museum of Natural History and Prehistory and Old Nimes Museum. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator. Planning an event in Nîmes? This hotel has facilities measuring 753 square feet (70 square meters), including a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The host had very bad attitude, refused to settle the problem with air conditioning on the room, made rude comments, refused to provide another room. Rooms have no air conditioning which make your stay horrible. Only stress in this hotel, especially when the host, which is owner, says "I don't like you" in face!Disgusting, never experienced this kind of "hospitality" if can say so at all. We are convinced that there was more nationality issue, which is unacceptable in France!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very convenient for the station as it's only about 50 meters from the station door. It's about 10 minutes walk to the Arena down a beautiful pedestrian boulevard. The staff were helpful and allowed us to leave our bags before check-in as we arrived about 10.00h. And after we checked out so it was easy to collect them on the way to the station.
Cons: The room was ok but a bit noisy first thing in the morning. The bed was a good size, but did drop slightly in the middle. It was fine for 1 or 2 nights but I wouldn't want to stay longer as the pillows were slightly lumpy as well. Against this it was quite good value for money.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location perfect for a trip to Nîmes, museums and historical sites just a short walk away. There is a lovely park in front of the hotel with waterfalls which are illuminated at night time. There is a little lift which was very handy with all the bike luggage we had. Clean, good WiFi, staff friendly and very helpful. Would recommend breakfast, very good value for money, selection of cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, bread, croissants, yoghurts and fruit juice.
Cons: Rooms are basic, however you’ll be spending most of the time sight seeing! There is an option of parking, there are only 5 spaces available and it’s down to luck if one is available. We were able to park relatively near hotel though not entirely free. From 9am to 7pm you will need to feed the parking meter.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hotel was very conveniently situated close to the station and the City Centre.
Cons: Room was very small, also too hot on arrival and very noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was a decent size with good facilities, and good value for money, Breakfast was good value, very good location close to train station.
Cons: Can't think of anything - was a pleasant contrast to previous stay.

Cons: The lack of clim was a real problem
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to station.
Cons: Noisy and no air conditioning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is right next to the train station
Cons: It was very warm when we stayed and although the room came with a fan it made it difficult to sleep.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was excellent for its closeness to the railway station. This was simportnat as we had an early train the next day. However this did mean that when the trains started early in the morning it felt like they were coming through the room.
