Free Wifi, good size and clean room Only Spanish speaking staff at reception desk.
No remarks. If you can book a promotion with spa, don't hesitate. The town doesn't have a lot to offer.
Excellent room. Restaurant very nice and buffet dinners were good value - especially for big eaters ! From the description it appeared that the hotel was just across from the beach. Not true ! The beach was 7/8 minutes walk away. Parking is very restricted throughout Noja so you have to pay to use the hotel car park !
All, it´s very beautiful. It has a interesting spa and employes are very nice. Also it has a good breakfast, very complete and clean. it was very good situation, near the beach. We had a good experience. The garage is very complicate and difficult.
I did like the balcony, the fridge inside the room and the private car park.
Very pleasant stay. Clean hotel. Close to beach. Family friendly (for young and older children). Good food - went out of the way to cater to our dietry requirements. n/a
From first entrance everything was lovely, clean, friendly, and relaxing. A little difficult to find (we hired a car) but apart from that the hotel is in a nice location 5 min walk from a beautiful beach which also has some surf and a surf hire shop. The hotel charge for car parking - but parking is not an issue as there are plenty of spaces in the roads around the hotel which are free. The pool is small but very relaxing and quite clean. The staff are very helpful, our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The hotel does have a buffet restaurant which offers three courses and all the food is very nice, at around 20 euro per head this was good value for money, particularly as there are very few restaurants (let alone nice restaurants) near by or in Noja itself. The only negative regarding the hotel restaurant is that it does feel quite clinical and bright...dont go expecting a nice candle lit romantic meal. The spa, hmm how can I describe it....interesting! the spa is 18 euro per person extra and lasts for 1 hour, in which your time is split between various spa type activities e.g. sauna, steam... its not hugely relaxing but is good fun! especially if you happen to get the nutty spanish spa attendant that led us around, who didnt speak a word of English but continued trying to explain everythying to us anyway...very funny! Overall, excellent - and we will be returning next year.
Comfortable room. Spa circuit included was unusual but fun and relaxing. Location pretty ugly with ugly empty buildings around in late June. No view of beach though beach is lovely.Hard to find as all buildings look the same and no signs.
The fact that it is near the beach
Nice hotel at a resonable price. Near the beach, very quite town 15-20 mins drive from Santander. Perfect for relaxing few days and not to far to drive form near attractions.
View from room. Reasonable rates. Surly waiter in restaurant who seemed annoyed that we had appeared. We walked out and had dinner at another hotel restaurant 200 yards away. The menu at Hotel Astuy limited and very expensive. We would only stay here again for the (albeit tired) accommodation.
The town of Isla, Spain is somewhat hard to find, but worth the effort! The Hotel Astuy is located directly on the beach, with beautiful panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. Rooms were new and nicely appointed (granite counters, whirlpool tubs, etc). Beds were large, new and comfortable. Hotel staff spoke English, which was very helpful. The hotel needs coin-operated guest laundry facilities.
The location of the hotel was superb and the staff were very helpful. The room was comfartable, clean and with a balcony with a sea view.
Great position in apartment block with lovely views from large balcony. Comfortable - even the pull-out beds in lounge area were very comfortable. Replacement linen and towels whenever we needed them. Very handy for beaches and we were, in fact, overlooking one of them. The teenagers loved the jacuzzi bath!(There was a good shower, too.) Overlooking the beach carpark which we enjoyed during the day as it was fun to see people coming and going. At night, however, it was very noisy as youngsters would hang around in the early hours of the morning.
Location was good for airport Place is located on busy motorway-difficult to find-across the road from some large dirty plant which keeps operating all night and the odour does not permit opening the windows.
Close to the beach. Dirty pool and outside space. Very noisy area.
Quiet. Staff were very supportive. Interesting historic property. Food (evening meal) not as good as expected..
Excellent rooms, very quiet, good facilities In spite of informing staff that we needed to leave early, nobody in reception/breakfast area until 8.45. Outside gates locked, All telephones switched on to answering systems. not very safe in case of emergencies!
The superior double room was beautiful. Setting of the hotel - wonderful The welcome was not good. The satff did nto seem bothered that you were coming as a guest in their hotel. At dinner on the sunday night we ordered the set menu 55 euros plus tax, including wine. The small 5 courses were supposed to represent thier whole menu. The meal was one of the worst we had even eaten. Please contact us for more info.
A very special Chateau Hotel containing a wealth of clever design and art treasures. Wonderful stonework and woodwork incorporated in the very sympathetic restoration to retain original atmosphere. A very warm welcome and personal touches everywhere. Excellent security. Well located for UK ferries from/to Bilbao & Santander. Only having to leave so soon.
Posada Los Gallos was extremely good. The room was decorated to an very high standard - the beds very comfortable and huge! The food was excellent and good value for money. The location was exellent for visiting nearby towns and beaches and also for travelling to/ from the airport or ferry port. A shower ( other than a hand held one) would have been a distinct advantage in our room. There was a jacuzzi which was great but not very pratical. Food being available before 9.15pm in the evening - I appreciate that Spanish meal times are later than normal but if they are accepting foreign visitors a little flexiblity would have been good. The only other slight issue was that nobody spoke any english. Again I appreciate "why should they"? but if accepting English speaking guests a smatttering of english would be an advantage to match our smattering of Spanish.
The hotel is in an old building which has recently been renovated, the room we were allocated had a sloping roof and high windows but for not a lot extra we were offered a suite. Well worth the money, 4 poster bed, terrace and excellent bathroom. The renovation work is of the highest standard. Evening meal was good value for the set menu. A little isolated for the time of year, would be lovely in the summer.
Muy tranquilo y silencioso. El personal muy amable -
