Responsive staff Great food Awesome surroundings Green area (pretty much inside the woods) View from inside the lodge and out 1. I was staying in the room 404 and the booking description showed the room has a microwave, which we needed to sterilize the bottles. There was no microwave and after sharing the complaint I wasn't offered one. 2. I'm not a tall guy, but the shower was really below my height, so I had to squat. 3. Nowhere in the listing it says that the majority of rooms are connecting. Our room wasn't an exception and you can hear all the kinds laughing and jumping at 8AM next door. And our neighbors have probably heard our child crying in the middle of the night.
Very Nice, comfortable bed
Location Room smelled funny Bathroom floor never dried since there was no boundary between shower and rest of bathroom.
King size comfortable mattress Ants in room. Garbage can right near parking and motel that was very stinky. Carpet not clean near baseboards.
It was Ok. I could not find an Ice Machine!
Good proximity to the river Very uncomfortable bed; musty smell; toilet in the shower. No idea how they get away with charging $120+ / night. Stay literally anywhere else nearby and you'll be better off.
The new comforter was nice. The sign said the hotel was under new management, but the outside grounds and hotel itself were awful. This hotel was a joke. It is a hole in the wall, literally. We had a cracked toliet seat, the toliet and shower were all together in one little 4x4 room. Not very convenient. Also, our floor was wet because the sink which was located out in the main room with the beds was leaking. Also, under the sink the wall was patched together with duct tape or something like that.
the bed and the towels only way to get ice was going back to ask at the office
Columbia Gorge Inn is a great value. It is no frills and no surprises: you get a rock bottom price and a clean room and good service. I will stay here again!
location Room(s) were crappy. Would not stay there again.
The room we stayed in had dirty sheets. The room smelled. The manager was very course. The toilet is in the shower, seperated by a curtain.
Nothing, This was the worst motel we have stayed at in 23 years of business travel. No Internet (Unusable signal), Desk legs loose, no lamp shade, Window leaked, Bed corner nroken, Floor was never cleaned for four days, night stand had last guests stuff, no towels, bed not made, no ice.
The interior of the room was cleaned well, and the location was good. The staff was also friendly. Unsettling outward appearance. Lots of flies and bugs in my room... I felt more comfortable sleeping on top of the bed in my own blankets. Sound insulation wasn't the best.
When booking, and again when I arrived, I asked for a "quiet" room. The host assured me the quietest room in the inn. When I got to the room door the adjacent room had a blaring television going. Upon request, the management, for an additional fee, moved me to a second room where the television did not work. From there I was moved to a third room where, because of the noise of adjacent rooms and passing trains, I did not sleep a wink all night.
Very high quality, well maintained, friendly staff, and romantic.
We stayed 3 nights in the peaceful and beautiful, luxury cabin. The breakfasts were fantastic each morning and the hospitality was superb! Great hiking, amazing waterfalls and beautiful views surround the area, and the staff are very helpful and personable too. We definitely will be coming back and highly recommend Carson Ridge cabins to anyone.
