We were there for a soccer tournament and ended up rebooking at another hotel. My husband and children felt unsafe staying there.
Easy highway access Every surface was stained or had holes in it.
There is nothing to like about this hotel, and I am very serious about that. Don't kid yourself. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels for business travel, and even toughed it out in some really bad ones. This is beyond my threshold for what I would accept. It is bad. Really bad. Like dirty and unsafe. Scary, shady, dirty, several security guards in parking lot, hookers down the block, sketchy characters on grounds.
There was nothing to like about this place I can't believe it's on kayak!!!! This was the most ghetto hotel ice ever seen.... Pictures on website are nothing near to what it's... Pictures are of another hotel!!!! There was a guy in trash can digging very ghetto area didn't feel safe at all.... The security guard was doing the receptionists job asking if my make friend in the car was staying with me.... That they need all his info as well!!!! Too me it was very unprofessional!!!! I don't recommend staying here ever!!!!! I checked in and checked right out 5 minutes later!!!!! If there was negative stars I would give it -6 stars!!!!
The staff was amazing
Our first room had blood on the walls. We then moved rooms only to be placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. When we were moved again our room was still dirty but by then we had missed our original plans we had made. We stayed in the third room. The only thing the hotel did was remove a parking charge (which feels like something that should be free for guests anyway). Upon checking out a staff person made a very inappropriate drug related joke to my partner that made us both uncomfortable. When trying to order food from the bar I enquired about the cooking oil as I have food allergies and the staff said she didn't know and refused to find out what was used. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and dirty the entire trip. Definitely will not be staying at the Hyatt again.
Loved every moment. Staff was very welcoming. Definitely will consider staying there again. No complaints
I was there with 3 young children. Very courteous and helpful staff. Pool was perfect for the kids. Breakfast was good, fast and reasonably priced. The hotel is clean and quiet hours were respected. We were there for a reception on the 15th floor which was also fantastic.
Upon check-in, we were given a room that was still occupied. The following morning someone walked into our room while we were sleeping.
Very family friendly central location. Hot tub was not hot and it was 60 and raining.
Breakfast was not included
Staff were very nice. Location is excellent. Room was dusty and had finger prints in the bathroom. There was a long black hair in the bed.
Beautiful view!!!! hard to get regulated the hot water, thin walls, very loud and you can hear every conversations even the cell phone from all rooms no only your neighbors
Downtown location. Good valet parking service. No minibar
The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were lovely. The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful. They didn't seem suited to the service industry. The concierges were very helpful and friendly.
hotel staff there was no refrigerator; it cost to use wi fi; it was too expensive for one bed that was advertised as a double; it was noisy.
Location and room Staff didn't seem to know the area. I had to go to a coffee shop to even know what neighborhood the hotel was in.
We attended a function in the downtown area and the location was perfect. Room key did not work initially, I called the front desk from a house phone and an employee checked my identification and opened the door, he returned a short while later with a new key.
Location. Cannot believe the room have no Internet connection included in the price.
Great location. Walking distance to restaurants. Donut shops. Thrift store shopping everything. We stayed for an athletic event but had some time to do other stuff. Close to a 7 eleven if you need a quick snack and self parking was across the street but easy to get to. A lot of homeless in the area but there is nothing the hotel can do about that. Just be cautious when walking at night.
Clean rooms. The TV service is worst I have seen anywhere. Very basic service. A major basketball game is on ( Warriors ) and they did not have the channel, really! This is a business hotel in Sacramento. I go to the lobby bar and they have two flat screens circa 2005. Spend $1400 at Costco for two new flat screens. They missed the attention to detail that is required in this market. Will not stay there again.
Proximity to convention center, willingness of staff to accommodate requests
I loved the room service breakfast. And how close it was to everything to do in downtown Sacramento. I had such a blast and everyone was pleasant and helpful during our stay. Definitely staying here again in the fire
Clean, modern room Did not have free parking or WIFI
The Lobby, the Gym, the pool and the rooms are great. I also enjoyed the very friendly and helpful staff during the Sunday Brunch. Having to wait in line for 5 minutes for the elevator in my floor and up to 10 minutes in the lobby. There was a lot of people and the elevators took forever.
It was right off the freeway They changed me from a king size bed to 2 queens my mistake but they worked it out. The room was spacious Location was a bit on the seedy side of town I forgot a book & they would not accept my credit card for shipping it to me, sent it COD, thought $16.70 was a bit unreasonable.
I liked the configuration of the room with the comfortable couch and the bed. The fact that when I exited the hotel property I had to make a u-turn to get back to the freeway.
Shuttle transportation to downtown was nice. It took me forever to check in! They had no record of my reservation, front desk had to call getaroom.com to confirm my reservation. Even though, I had booked three hours prior to arriving. The room smelled miserably. I The shower drain was plugged and the water would not go down the drain! Many items in the room were broken (cabinet drawer) or looked very cheap and old.
Shuttle service superb. Staff helpful. Location - close to airport. Room was not to the standard I found the previous visit. Not cleaned properly, radio broken, no phone directory on the hotel phone. Window filthy.
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean with no outside noise, great breakfast, good selection of channels on TV, A/C was very cold, nice kitchenette with everything needed to prepare simple meals! No major complaints, but a couple disappointments. The bed was nice and comfortable when I layed down, but by 4am, my low back and neck both hurt and I wasn't able to lay down for the last couple hours of sleep. It may have been more the huge pillows than the memory foam bed, I'm not sure. Also, the water didn't stay one temperature during shower. It kept going cold for a few seconds before warming up again.
the managers reciption the roaches dirty bathroom
The Staff was nice. Hotel was dirty and the rooms were worse. Trash from previous occupant still there. Disgusting bathroom!
Booked online expecting a quality Wyndham hotel. This place should not have a Wyndham flag. It is a old apartment building made into a hotel so rooms are spacious. However the walls need painting, the bathroom needs renovated and the place needs serious cleaning.
Comfortable bed, nice breakfast. Needs a little updating.
NOTHING Everything was a problem 100% honest
For the money, the room was rather large and you get a free hot breakfast. Staff was very friendly and the workout room was adequate. We did not pay for elegance so we did not expect perfection. We were there for a quick stay and this worked out great for us.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Airport shuttle was convenient. In a strange part of Sacramento. Room was kind of gross: saw a couple small cockroaches, mascara on the pillow cases, nasty carpet. Overall was not worth the price.
The staff was very helpful when needed. We upgraded to larger room it was no.problem.
The bed very comfortable. Felt roomy. Difficulty with card/key for room.
The beds were very comfy! The breakfast was good. We booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub, we had a long trip and really wanted a good soak... When we got there we were informed that the hot tub was down and the pool was heated, but only to 70 degrees...which felt very cold. My kids still insisted on a swim, and we had a lot of people stop by and tell us how cold their swim was earlier and that they though we were crazy.
What an amazing historical hotel with a great downtown location. I would recommend this hotel and we'll be back.
Excellent staff. Wonderful old and superbly renovated building. Three blocks from the Capitol. Room was small.
Stayed overnight for a girls weekend. I was given a complimentary upgrade upon arrival and I was very pleased with my room as well as its amenities. Beautiful Chinese soaking tub and every toiletry you can think of. Linens were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the restaurant as well for breakfast and the menu and drinks were to die for! I had a very hard time deciding what have. Fresh squeezed OJ mimosas and bloody Mary's were amazing. I can't wait to have a romantic overnight with the hubby very soon!
Lots of issues with room - lights not working, TV issues upon arrival and "pat" answer from engineer (remote needs new battery which we knew wasn't the issue but a problem with cable company). First night dinner in "temp" restaurant horrible. Didn't charge for one meal but just no attention to detail, wrong order. Experience better when Joie property.
The staff was great, well trained, accommodating and helpful The room was awful! It only had 2 tiny Windows, about 1'x2'. The mattress was old and soft, we kept slidding into the middle and did not get a good nights rest.
Made a reservation for 2 guest in a queen size room. Got there and checked in @7pm and was notified that I was upgraded to a king size room, big plus on their part! The room was cozy and comforting. It also includes a beautiful bar setup along with a wonderful street view. To be completely honest, the one thing I did not like was the shower. The rest of the room was was decorated and painted in its own style including the bathroom. But once you open the shower curtain all you see is plain, boring, tile. Both room and bathroom give off some bomb vibes, except the tile. Just kills the ambient. Other than my pity first world problem place was outstanding.
The location is nice, and the valet staff friendly and responsive. We went to a concert that night and arrived back at the hotel at 11 p..m. The restaraunt was closed, and there is no room service avaiilable after this time. The restaurants nearby become nightclubs at this hour, and there are lines to get in. We also could not access our car because valet closes. I also felt that there now needs to be a few fixes or upgrades done. Our room was clean but there was no bathroom lock it was broken...paint touch ups need to be done, and the TV remotes replaced with easier ones to use. This hotel is best for business travelors, event guests (wedding) where they don't need to leave the hotel.
Sophisticated decor, helpful staff, "beautiful people" hot spot. The noise from both the street and partiers went on until 3 a.m. Motorcycle engines revving, police called on issues in the street, shouting and yelling in the street, all echoed right up to our 7th floor room.
Decor and comfort were the best. Very trendy, great food at Grange, valet, bell boy and front desk were exceptional... with the exception of one night girl. The only staff member that " couldn't see" the LARGE ( 3 feet in length ) wine or blood or whatever stain was on my curtains in my original room. Aside from actually completing the transaction of switching my room she was not helpful. My new room keys that she gave me were only 1 out of 2 working. She didn't offer a bell cart, I had to ask. The next morning upon leaving at 5:30 and asking them to check the original room for left behind belongings- she told me " you can go check yourself I'll make you another key". AND she never alerted housekeeping for follow up with the issue. I felt like I had to do all the work for a 4 star boutique hotel in mid town. The only reason I was so displeased with that interaction was that everyone else was outstanding.
The restaurant downstairs was awesome
The room was nice and clean. Nice appointments. Very comfortable. Large shower. The door on the bathroom was a slider and did not actually shut.
Overall friendly service. Responsive staff. Comfortable rooms.. Very unique atmosphere.. Staff forgot to address gold status(free breakfast) until I checked out. Paid for two breakfasts I didn't need to...I forgot to remind clerk at check in.. This seems to be a systematic Marriott issue.
The bed was comfortable and the television was big. Also the television channels were a good variety. My room smelled like someone had been sick and there was a huge wet spot on the floor. I called the manager and he never got back to me. The staff sent people to spray air freshner which only made the smell worse. I had a non smoking room but it smelled heavily
Very close to the freeway for easy access. The room and breakfast were OK. The first assigned room was supposed to be nonsmoking, but as soon as I walked in it reeked of cigarettes. The front desk was very willing to accommodate my request for a different room which was fine.
The price is good. The room was clean on the surface, but it felt dirty. The grounds felt grimy. It was okay. It needs some work and remodeling other than flat screen TVs.
Clean room, only 10 cab ride to downtown Sketchy area, homeless ppl everywhere you looked including outside my window (camp on sidewalk).. still seemed safe, but very depressing
The lock plate for my door was loose in the frame, so the door never seemed to be completely shut. My room smelled of cigarette smoke. And my room wasn't cleaned one of the days I stayed, probably because I slept in late. It isn't a deal-breaker, but it would have been nice to have been notified that they skipped my room, and gave me an option to request a room cleaning later.
It was easy to find a prostitute Grounds were kinda dirty. Poor security. Decent hotel but prices are so cheap that druggies and dirt bags stay there. Up your rates a bit and hire security and someone to pressure wash the nasty sidewalks. Free breakfast sucked, I would have paid for a good breakfast.
The room was inexpensive and looked clean. Front desk staff was friendly. The room had a strange smell that took a few hours with the windows open to dissipate. The continental breakfast was flavorless. Toast, bagels, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee all kind of tasted the same. The staff had to cancel a customer's reservation because the police were called due to the excessive comings and goings of random people from the room. On the last night there a couple was having a vocal and colorful argument outside my hotel room.
Nothing had to change rooms twice, room is dirty, morning breakfast doesn't have many options.
We asked if we could do an early check in for an up charge they said as long as the room was ready we could do it. I was told there was not gonna be an extra charge. Later on the day they called me and said we needed to pay an extra day. Did not even get an apology for their mistake. They need to get all their staff on the same page.
IT Was easy to get to and the staff was very nice
nothing the floor in the room was wet, because the sprinklers came on outside and flooded the room during the middle of the night. When I woke up and put my feet on the floor, stepped in a big puddle.
The owners have clearly sunk some money into the property to modernize the rooms as well as beautifying everything. They have some work to do before it will be completed, but you can tell the owners care about the the place. We were bummed that the pool was out of order. But it was out of order because they are fixing everything on the property. Seriously, this place is going to be the crown jewel on this exit in Sacramento.
Clean, decent sized rooms, comfortable beds and pillows A bit dated, but not a big deal.
Yes and thanks for good service
Clean facility with good amenities. Super staff. Attentive and efficient. Rooms are large and equipped with everything you need to include sundries. Location on the 50 makes for some noise in the rooms that face the highway, but it's reasonable.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was rude. The greeting person at the door didn't even greet us. The staff was awkward and made us feel uncomfortable.
Westins are always great, they are always so clean and classy and well ran. It's the reputation. But this hotel specifically is amazing, it's riverside, fairly priced - I mean you get a bang for your buck here. I know people complain about having to pay for wi-fi, but even the price is reasonable. Either way, get off your electronics and enjoy the peaceful view. That's not even the half of it, the service here is amazing. Everyone is happy to help, open doors, offer suggestions and recommendations. Kudos to the management, concierge, bellboys, restaurant workers, maids, valet, receptionists.
I liked its location centrally located for the purposes of my trip. The ease of freeway access was great and the staff was pleasant and helpful: Nothing it was exactly what it appeared to be.
Very nice hotel and very good price that night. This was my 3rd trip to This hotel and will always stay here when passing through Sacramento. Staff went out of their way to help me scan and email some papers for work one day.
Rooms, parking, closeness to the freeway, partially indoor hot tub & pool. Resturaunt was horrible, 1 poor server for the entire place on a Saturday night. She was overwhelmed, ordered wine, soda and cheesecake. Wine & Soda came fine, cheesecake took a while, then no silver wear and no refuel on the coke for my son after repeatedly asking and waiting 20 min. We walked out. There was unattended children in the pool area screaming like idiots and since there is a partial took it echoed into the spa area, staff was called twice about it and ignored the calls.
Not much Except for the wait staff, the rest of the staff was not very helpful.
Reserving the room was no problem. Unfortunately, we had to cancel (early) due to a family emergency. The lady who took my report was very knowledgable and accommodating. However, we will go back to Kayak for any future reservations if the need arises. Thank you for your service.
Whenever I travel, i stay at the Marriott hotels. However, this time I found a good deal and wanted to try them. They were as good if not better than the Marriotts. Would definitely go again.
I loved how the hotel was spacious and clean. The staff was great too! The large amount of children running around. We went on a busy weekend which had special events hosted, but the kids from the event where everywhere! They were running around in the workout room in the treadmills without parental supervising and without shoes on! Another issue was the amount of 'iffy' people hanging out in the parking lot. People that we're not staying at the hotel but just scoping out the patrons coming and going.
Conveniently located, clean room, nice staff & great amenities. Breakfast hours were not long enough.
Spacious rooms Printer in business center didn't work.
Our check-in was quick & easy. The lobby and our room was clean. The hotel is in a good central location in Roseville. The rooms are old and the exterior shabby. The property is aged.
Extensive breakfast bar and pool/ hot tub area!
The location is close to family, shopping. Beware the hotel is under construction. Also I was upset that although we stayed multiple nights, maid service consisted of handing a clean set of towels through the door in the morning PEROID. I have stayed at this hotel six times in as many months to see my son at college but after this last trip there will not be a seventh. I was very disappointed. Don't make my mistake.
It was a nice, clean place and good value for the price.very. Nice outdoor features. Everything was fine.
Staff was very accomedating and room was clean and spacious. Perfect for a business or leisure trip!
The hotel offers options for those travelling in groups and want to have the opportunity to socialize either poolside or at the bar or for the travelers who want the business hotel option. Hotel was quite, clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great with many choice for every appetite. Missed entrance to hotel more than once.
Cheap Thin walls. Huge pillows
Liked the glasses and wine bottle opener provided in the kitchenette. Liked the towels, bed, and toiletries. Liked that they allow dogs. Clean, comfortable, safe. No fan in the bathroom, and when I opened the door to let the steam out, the smoke detector went off. I opened a window and it turned off immediately. Only one bedside table. Breakfast was bad coffee, granola bars and vending machine quality pastries, bananas, and packaged yogurt.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and appeared well maintained. It's not luxurious, but for UCDAVIS parents trying to find someplace close to stay, it's a great option. None
Very discret location. Very romantic. Great customer Service. No smoking rooms
First time here; very pleased. My regular Sacramento hotel has declined precipitously, so glad to find a substitute: clean, well-maintained. Will consider for all future trips to area. Breakfast could be better. Too many carbs! Which is a constant problem with hotels offering the "continental" style. But as an extended-stay hotel, guests can cook their own. Which I would probably do for a longer stay.
The staff let me check in early ... very convenient for me and I appreciate that very much .... also overall the staff was efficient and courteous. I got back to the room late at night and the toilet backed up ... very inconvenient ... I had it fixed in the morning ... did not call for service at night ... had driven 150 miles to get to the all day meetings and did not want plumbing work at night. The toilet fixture needs to be brought to current size expectations ... If the toilets are not updated in this location, I will NOT be booking here again. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the above.
Great customer service
Rooms were spacious with good layout; the breakfast was adequate We stayed two nights in two different rooms. Both were beyond their prime, but in the first room (#325) the mattress was very old, extremely uncomfortable and the heating/cooling unit incredibly noisy. We hardly slept that night. We asked in the morning to be assigned a different room. The young lady at the front desk was very cooperative, she gave us room 216. The mattress was better and the heating unit perfectly adequate. Both rooms came with kitchenettes with full size refrigerators! We had to turn the refrigerators off at night because they were very noisy.
Quiet area. Close to fwy. Excellent customer service.
The front desk people were nice at check in and check out. And the room was decent enough especially for the price. It's not the motels fault, But it seemed to be in a shady part of town. At least after dark. The gas station next to it had a lot of police activity, and a cardboard homeless shelter in a section of it. My wife and I felt a little weird when the security guard that lets you in and out of the parking lot looked at us with suspicion, but I guess that's his job when there seems to be a prostitution problem. But once he found my name in the guest list he was really nice.
Location, near freewY. No breakfast. Coffe had power cream.awful. noisy.
The sheet could have been cleaner and there was hair in the shower
I really liked that it was a very short distance from where I needed to be the following day. Gentleman in the front desk was very nice and friendly. It is located next to the highway so you can hear cars all night long especially the big ones. The building is also located where the sun hits the windows and it gets really hot super early. We left at 7:30am and it honestly looked and felt around noon time.
Housekeeping came over in the morning about 10am and woke us up. Told her to come back in an hour. We left at 11:30am and she never came. Got back at about 2:30pm and room is still not fixed. So our room was never cleaned up.
We have stayed here before, for the money it is an excellent value due to it's proximity to CSU-Sac. Facilities, room, are all Okay: a little dated and worn but clean and spacious. The only thing that comes to mind is in our room, a large space where there used to be a small table, not crucial but nice to have in past.
Fast check-in, gated parking lot. For the $, it was clean and functional. Carpet was old, towels scratchy. But for the money, can't be beat.
Overall you get what you paid for. A plus is having a fully functionally A/C on a hot day. A lot of fast food restaurants surrounding the hotel is also a plus. Right off the freeway so there is quiet a bit of noise. It was under construction during my visit so there was also a lot of noise because of that.
cheap funky perfume smell in room
This is my second overnight stay on the Delta King. Love the atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, the price is right, and I've always slept well on the water. Fifteen years ago my family celebrated our son's eighteenth birthday with an evening at a Delta King Murder Mystery dinner.
The location Rooms to small for $147.+20 for vallet that was slow to return car. We stayed on 3rd deck, not a good choice.reception phone was loud waking us up. Last year we paid $220.00 for 4th deck, it was better, but way over priced. Next time i will try embassy suites.
Apple and Chris at the front desk were wonderful. Very professional and yet warm at the same time. Top notch staff across the board!
We liked everything Including the complementary breakfast.
I chose the Delta King because of its unique charm. I loved that it was in Old Sacramento which has cute stores, cobblestone streets, and old west buildings. As I crossed the cobblestone street and wooden platform railroad tracks to get to the boat I felt like I was going back in time. I was so excited because I love things that are off the beaten path. I loved all the charming details from the lamps to the faucet knobs, everything was antique. The room was smaller than the pictures let on but cozy. The city view stateroom pictured had a desk, which I was excited about getting work done at. My room did not. The room was very dust and I am very allergic to dust. I checked in late so I tried to make it work. I ran my finger across the phone and the bed frame and they both had a thick layer of dust. The triple lamp over the bed did as well. I didn't sleep well because of the dust. I very nicely asked if someone could dust and change the sheets due to my allergies and the man at the desk seem to take it personally. When I came back later that day, they had made the bed, but not changed the sheets, even though I had left the "change the sheets" sign on the bed. The breakfast voucher is for a very specific breakfast off of their menu. If you want something else the voucher does not apply. Though they were very nice about my egg allergy and gave me yogurt as a substitute. Since the walkways are very narrow, people walk very close to the walls and thus it is very loud. Especially on the weekend when other people are drunkenly walking around the train station. Overall I love the idea, there are just some rough edged that really bring back life in the 1940s.
The photo on hotel.com was not the room I received at all. The room was extremely small and a full sized bed, not a queen. Overall it was quaint, adorable, and perfect for me. If it had been a night with my husband, I'm not sure we would fit.
Check in was efficient and the location is right in the middle of old town Sacramento. Very conveniently located to shops, dining, the new Golden 1 Center. The music at the bar was nice and seemed like a nice place to have dinner. We stayed one night to meet up with family and friends for a Kings basketball game. As expected for a river boat, the rooms are small, and I would recommend a river view room. The sound from adjacent rooms, overhead and hallway is significant which does impact your sense of privacy. The radio didn't work and only had a CD player, no mp3 or phone connectivity. Overall, our one night stay was pleasant.
Breakfast voucher was a nice touch.
I stay in sacramento a lot and had always wanted to try this. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I had dinner at the Bar and their complimentary breakfast, both were good. I also slept well. I would stay here again if I were to bring my son on a business trip, as I know he would enjoy the boat. Other than that, I would prefer a normal hotel in the future. The facility is a little dated. Not just the classic decor of the boat but the decor in the room etc. the room that I was in was very small as was to be expected. The boat is a little noisy - you can hear people walking out side of your room and the walls are thin. I could hear the people in the room next to me.
It was a working River Boat +70 yrs ago and has been converted to a first class hotel. Locations and ambiance are wonderful. Woke up in the morning to geese swimming outside our bedroom window, not downtown city/traffic noises! Bathroom needed some TLC work.
Historic facility. Very friendly staff. Rooms were a little tight and cramped.
Very unique stay on a restored paddle boat. The restaurant and bar were very nice and food was good. The rooms were small but comfortable. It is a boat so everything is small and tight. The ambiance was quaint and wonderful. The outside deck was very nice by the bar overlooking the river. Old Sacramento is right there with many little shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to the Capital Mall also. There wasn't much to not like. Just be careful if you are tall like my husband. The ceilings and doors in the cabins are short. He hit his head a few times before he learned to duck! Also if you are a light sleeper being ear plugs as the train tracks are close by and the trains go through several times a night.
The staff at the front desk was really nice
Nothing, worst hotel i ever been in. The staff was very nice, its not their fault i blame the slum lord owners Bums hanging on the back parking lot, side doors left open, dim to no lighting on parking lot, smokey nasty hotel. I will never stay at another super 8 motel, horrible.
The room was recently remodeled. The bathroom was new, as well as the other furnishings. The breakfast room was clean, and the food was fine for a quick breakfast. My husband didn't like that there wasn't an elevator, and we were in the third floor. It was fine with me because you know, we can all use a little exercise!
Near to the highway doesn't have microwave on the room
Nothing. Place is not good, staff are rude, room is filthy, towels and sheets are dirty and have cigarette holes. Should not be in kayak or priceline. Does not deserve a star at all.
I left my class ring in the room and called after I had left. And they "couldn't find" my ring.
I like the coupon that i used to book this place thats about it $50 off... 1st my non smoking room that i didnt request stunk of cigarettes and so did the whole floor that was non smoking... 2nd the free wifi doesnt reach the 3rd floor and when you do get the signal you cant even make it thru a full episodr on Netflix without it stopping every 2 minutes (horrible speeds)...3rd theres no elevator so be ready to haul your stuff up stairs...4th i couldnt sleep so i went to grab a snack from the vending machine but i could leave the third floor because there were homeless people blocking both exits by sleeping up against the doors... Had to wake them just to go down.... When i went down i told the guy at the desk about what i saw and he says " i wish you told me earlier so i coukd have gotten rid of them" to which i replied " im telling you rite now they are still there, do something about it".... I went back up to my room after asking the homeless to move only to find out my keycard no longer worked so back downstairs after again telling the homeless to move... The guy tells me room 330 doesnt... But its clearly on the door and written on my card holder by the girl that checked me in... After 5 minutes and convincing him i was me ( no id on me ) he gave me new keys... Back up the stairs to ask the people to move again... Finally went to bed and woke up early for the breakfast... Last comolaint i promise.... The breakfast they have is TOAST, NASTY FROZEN WAFFLES, TINY CUPS OF YOGURT, AND CEREAL WITH NO MILK..... im never going back ive been to way better places in Sacramento for much cheaper than this place... West capital ave all day.... I lied im not done yet they finally kicked out the homeless at 10 am... The overnite guy didnt bother after i told him.. the housekeeping staff were the ones that finally did something about it.... If u do want breakfast you must go before 9:30 they make sure no ones up early enough to eat
I was guaranteed a room that was really not available to me. That I got to the hotel and was told to go find something else.
Decent area in the middle of a business district & very close to where we needed to be. The entire building smelt like cigarettes. There was one available outlet & it was part of a lamp which made it extremely hard to charge our electronics. The sheets had holes, rips & burn marks as well as the comforter...it was a non smoking room. None of the employees we encountered seemed like they wanted to be there & weren't very eager to help. There were lots of late night stragglers hanging out in the already dimly lit wrap around parking lot. No elevator & it's a 3 floor hotel. Poor WiFi connectivity, the shower had a brown residue. A/C was mediocre & smelt funny
The bathrooms were sub-par, the beds were okay but the neighborhood was horrible. Watch out for dangerous looking homeless people. The concierge didn't know the wifi password and was not helpful.
The staff did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. They were rock stars! The first thing I saw was a hole in the carpet of our room. It wasn't dirty per se, but it was seriously run down. There were a lot of hotel hopping families living in the hotel and consequently if you did not reach the free breakfast bar by 6:30 a.m. your chances of scoring a danish were slim to none and any later and you simply might not find anything terribly appetizing. It's not the hotel's fault that people are usery and rude, however, a new plan needs to be devised so that traveling guests have an opportunity to take advantage of advertised perks. I do not wish to be unkind, but the other problem was a lot of children, many were fussy and crying and the walls were paper thin. I would consider giving these folks another try because the price was very reasonable and the management is very new. I am sure they will figure things out and perhaps be a nice place to stay for a very reasonable cost.
The maid barged into my room while I was asleep
It is worth what you pay and more. I would definitely stay if I have to go back to Folsom again! Everything was pretty good.
As we walked in the front door, Sean said welcome home. What a nice welcome. He made us feel like old friends and very welcome. Our room was ready and just what we asked for. The facility is very nice and quiet. We will be back.
Loved it, very cozy, great lication. Would stay again for sure!!!
Staff Horrible, very loud, noisy, elevator all night and day. Boo!
Great business hotel. I need a kitchen suite when I travel and this one is perfect. Small scale, homey, decent continental breakfast with offerings other than carbs. Not the newest decor, but clean and the beds are very comfortable. I love that I can stay on the second or third floor and can open my window! Also, quiet enough that I can sleep with it open at night. Great location. Staff is great. I asked that they hold on to a laptop for a couple of days when I checked out until one of my co-workers checked in and they did it no problem! I always stay here when I'm in town for business. Fitness room is so-so, but much the same as many other hotels. Wish the fireplace in the common room was lit more often.
Got a great price from kayak for 1 night stay($85). Wasn't expecting much, but the place was great. Clean, modern, with a great kitchen in the unit. Staff was friendly and quick. Breakfast was ready for our early departure to Tahoe. Nothing. The place was great.
The staff was tremendously helpful. I had been booked at a different property when I arrived it was awful dirty and scary I was able to secure a room at last minute at Courtyard by Marriott Cal Expo and my week was saved. I was safe and secure in my surroundings the cleanliness was great as well.
Walking distance for the fair. Offered a shuttle to the fair. Room not ready when we arrived had to downgrade room . woke up at 9 am by a maid IN our room cleaning while we were trying to sleep when check out was at 11 am. Restaurant not open
Close to trail for walking. l would have preferred to be closer to downtown area.
Starbucks and good food on site. Comfy bed and nice room. Very close to 24 hour active train tracks and very noisy at night
Having a restaurant in the hotel. The location near I-80. The bathroom was a bit small.
Nice staff. Heater worked. Plenty of outlets Stained linens and towels poorly made bed Poor internet (and if not HH member, you pay) Charge for parking Lots of "fees' drive up the price: beware Currently under construction
The price was great. Breakfast excellent. Happy Hour was good. Mattress was awesome. A little dated..... no services on concierge floor / lounge starting on Friday. Not even hot water for tea.
It was very clean and well decorated with nice art work etc. The bar staff and some of the reception staff were very helpful. Internet access purchased was not reliable but this was rectified when we complained.
Staff was friendly and the lobby was very nice. The bathroom was not clean there was black hair on floor and in tub and I am a blonde. Which is kinda gross! It made feel like the rest of room was half fast clean so I did not use the glasses or other amenities. The lighting in bathroom is bad when trying to put on make-up I wish there was lighting was brighter by closest. I wish they told me they had a pool. I found it on last day when I was leaving. They over charged my credit card which froze it and I had no money to eat! And I forgot my camera charger in my room and I have left 3 messages and have not yet got a response. Not sure if i would stay here again.
Clean room, great staff, good food. I travel for a living, so time off is precious. We stayed at the Hilton as it has always been a comfortable place. My wife was part of this trip and participated in a meeting here. These two days were my few days off. At 8am on Friday morning I was relaxing with a cup of coffee when a very large grinding noise started over head. It was bad enough to knock a few pieces of my rooms ceiling down onto my computer, as I was at the desk. The front desk was helpful with my noise complaint, as the noise ceased. Yet during a business phone conversation I was having the noise began again a little after 9am. Giving up any hopes of relaxing or even having a phone conversation, we packed and left our room. Even the Hilton should inform guests of renovations so that we can understand perfectly that there will be no piece during your stay. Ron
Eateries opening hours did not follow advertised schedule. At breakfast time, had to wait about 5' for a waiter to show up. Hot water took its time in showing up.
Sheets and towels were clean. Room was an OK size. Internet worked. Surly staff Daily charge for parking No refrigerator in room. Shower head not working properly Tub slippery No bed cover or extra blankets Soft bed Noisy and impossibly to adjust air/heat Really noisy room (planes/trains/automobiles)
