The room was recently remodeled. The bathroom was new, as well as the other furnishings. The breakfast room was clean, and the food was fine for a quick breakfast. My husband didn't like that there wasn't an elevator, and we were in the third floor. It was fine with me because you know, we can all use a little exercise!
Decent area in the middle of a business district & very close to where we needed to be. The entire building smelt like cigarettes. There was one available outlet & it was part of a lamp which made it extremely hard to charge our electronics. The sheets had holes, rips & burn marks as well as the comforter...it was a non smoking room. None of the employees we encountered seemed like they wanted to be there & weren't very eager to help. There were lots of late night stragglers hanging out in the already dimly lit wrap around parking lot. No elevator & it's a 3 floor hotel. Poor WiFi connectivity, the shower had a brown residue. A/C was mediocre & smelt funny
I was guaranteed a room that was really not available to me. That I got to the hotel and was told to go find something else.
I left my class ring in the room and called after I had left. And they "couldn't find" my ring.
The staff at the front desk was really nice
Near to the highway doesn't have microwave on the room
The staff did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. They were rock stars! The first thing I saw was a hole in the carpet of our room. It wasn't dirty per se, but it was seriously run down. There were a lot of hotel hopping families living in the hotel and consequently if you did not reach the free breakfast bar by 6:30 a.m. your chances of scoring a danish were slim to none and any later and you simply might not find anything terribly appetizing. It's not the hotel's fault that people are usery and rude, however, a new plan needs to be devised so that traveling guests have an opportunity to take advantage of advertised perks. I do not wish to be unkind, but the other problem was a lot of children, many were fussy and crying and the walls were paper thin. I would consider giving these folks another try because the price was very reasonable and the management is very new. I am sure they will figure things out and perhaps be a nice place to stay for a very reasonable cost.
Nothing, worst hotel i ever been in. The staff was very nice, its not their fault i blame the slum lord owners Bums hanging on the back parking lot, side doors left open, dim to no lighting on parking lot, smokey nasty hotel. I will never stay at another super 8 motel, horrible.
I like the coupon that i used to book this place thats about it $50 off... 1st my non smoking room that i didnt request stunk of cigarettes and so did the whole floor that was non smoking... 2nd the free wifi doesnt reach the 3rd floor and when you do get the signal you cant even make it thru a full episodr on Netflix without it stopping every 2 minutes (horrible speeds)...3rd theres no elevator so be ready to haul your stuff up stairs...4th i couldnt sleep so i went to grab a snack from the vending machine but i could leave the third floor because there were homeless people blocking both exits by sleeping up against the doors... Had to wake them just to go down.... When i went down i told the guy at the desk about what i saw and he says " i wish you told me earlier so i coukd have gotten rid of them" to which i replied " im telling you rite now they are still there, do something about it".... I went back up to my room after asking the homeless to move only to find out my keycard no longer worked so back downstairs after again telling the homeless to move... The guy tells me room 330 doesnt... But its clearly on the door and written on my card holder by the girl that checked me in... After 5 minutes and convincing him i was me ( no id on me ) he gave me new keys... Back up the stairs to ask the people to move again... Finally went to bed and woke up early for the breakfast... Last comolaint i promise.... The breakfast they have is TOAST, NASTY FROZEN WAFFLES, TINY CUPS OF YOGURT, AND CEREAL WITH NO MILK..... im never going back ive been to way better places in Sacramento for much cheaper than this place... West capital ave all day.... I lied im not done yet they finally kicked out the homeless at 10 am... The overnite guy didnt bother after i told him.. the housekeeping staff were the ones that finally did something about it.... If u do want breakfast you must go before 9:30 they make sure no ones up early enough to eat
Nothing. Place is not good, staff are rude, room is filthy, towels and sheets are dirty and have cigarette holes. Should not be in kayak or priceline. Does not deserve a star at all.
The maid barged into my room while I was asleep
The bathrooms were sub-par, the beds were okay but the neighborhood was horrible. Watch out for dangerous looking homeless people. The concierge didn't know the wifi password and was not helpful.
Rooms were clean, staff were always pleasant. Most hotel beds are a back breaker, I am tall and suffer back pain from sleeping. The bed was the better of any hotel I have stayed in. Appearance was not great, breakfast room was converted from two rooms and was crowed. Pool area very small too crowded for more than one family, didn't feel comfortable to be there where everyone walking in parking lot would stare.
Located next to a good Mexican restaurant. Let's just say we were afraid to walk barefoot in the room. The carpet was badly stained. There was a dirty sock on the floor from the previous guest. Mirrors were dirty.
The staff were very helpfull For the price I can't complain.
I enjoyed the pool and spa with my friend. We ended up staying there because I had to take my girlfriend to the airport early the next morning. The woman working the counter, I believe her name is Darline? Super friendly and wonderful! !! I didn't like.....nothing. :-)
Close to Old Sacramento for the fireworks, easy to get to from the freeway. Asked for Riverfront room but could not see the river itself, only the levy
I liked the cleanliness, the comfort, and convenience to the airport. The staff was professional. Light train noise, some neighbor rooms were noisy, the shower drain a little slow but all tolerable.
Nice clean room with fridge & microwave. Awesome breakfast provided for free & Mexican Restaurant next door with great food. Staff was friendly Nothing I didn't like.
Very clean, looked recently remodeled.
close to airport. poor front desk check in service (slow slow slow!), room had not been cleaned, next room had a missing door handle on the inside (hard to get out and hard to lock), whole hotel is old and tired. Other than proximity to airport, nothing to recommend about this place. Do yourself a favor, and don't bother!
The first room was a chain smoker room that was a non-smoking room, tht we had to ask for another. The TV was only a 17" tv, the towels were small and as rough as sandpaper and the room had mirrors for the head board and across the room, a little creepy.
This Super 8 provided the bare minimum but was at a convenient location for the business I needed to do. Staff were friendly and courteous. They had wifi, but since it had no password, it was apparently overwhelmed with traffic and I never succeeded in accessing it. There was a bare bones breakfast. I've been to Super 8s with hot food like waffles or omelets, this one had only very basic bread and cold cereal. I generally go for Super 8 because it combines value with wifi and enough breakfast to feel ready for my day. Not having a password on your wifi so that it is overwhelmed...not great, not having either waffles or eggs, oh dear...just left me unhappy starting my day.
I liked the location. I needed to be at the airport early. The beds were small, I think they were doubles, not queens. Looks like the bathroom could use a deep cleaning.
quiet, nonsmoking, staff was attentive Rooms were old and out dated, the color was hideous, the bed hard, the continental breakfast was lacking, A/c units old and noisy.
Very clean and comfortable, great place for the price.
Thought I'd save some money. I did and sacrificed it to any comfort. The pillows were dead. Cigarette holes in the sheets. No place in the bathroom to put anything. If you just want a place to crash and nothing else, this will do. If you want any kind of comfort, this isn't the place.
Price, location were very good. One computer and printer available but monopolized by one guest.
Nothing. Front desk was not helpful with coordinating shuttle . Pillows were the size of kleenex. Elevator smelled like a bong. Room smelled like an ashtray.
It was close to stuff, and it was a decent price at the last minute. The staff were very friendly. The room was old, had been smoked in, and while clean, felt seedy. If I could avoid it, I probably wouldn't stay here again.
The staff at ne check in was cordial when I checked in. After going to my room I left the site to tend to business app. On my way out i had to inform the checked in counter that there was only a wash cloth and hand towel, the refer was not working and the telephone did not work. Reading 8ther reviews, the towel are no surprise, but a telephone is useless if you can call the front desk or outside in case of any emergency. I got the towels. This motel/hotel had probably been a nice place at one time, but those days have passed. Lots of resident living. Not the best location if you have a family or a single person traveling by yourself. Spend a little more and feel safe. Unfortunately I thought I could handle a discounted hotel, but there is no excuse for not repairing or taking out items that do not function. The place had walls And doors that had been kicked in or punched. The carpet had large stains. The staff tried there best but it dint help.
Plenty of parking Lost my reservation, cigerette ashes on pillow cases, needle lid on floor, as well as more ashes and sunflower seeds. This was marked a smoke free room. Reserved a down stairs room, was given an upstairs room. A lady of the night was conducting her business next door. Broken glass littered the parking lot. Several intoxicated people riddled the area. You dont even need proof of identification or what room you're in to get a key. Lobby smelled of urine. Continental breakfast was toast, cereal, milk, and orange juice.
It was the worst hotel experience of my life. It was literally the worst experience I've ever had at at hotel. I will never ever stay at this location, and I will be more cautious about looking for hotels on kayak.com. I was locked out of my room for an entire night, and was promised to be let in to gather my belongings when the manager would bring a master key at 8:00am. The manager arrived with the key two hours late "due to traffic" that was non-existent and when the worker tried to open the door it didn't work. Over an hour later, a maintenance worker arrived and pulled out the AC unit and crawled through to retrieve my belongings. The room next to ours had the metal door completely smashed in and there was caution tape everywhere. The worker said it had been the site of a domestic violence incident. The blinds were completely open and we could see severe property damage and evidence of violence on the inside. It looked like a set from Breaking Bad. The room we stayed in was completely disgusting and we documented all of this with photographs.
Absoultey Nothing and waiting for my money to be returned to my account. This place is surrounded by drug users and it is filthy!!! I would not let me dog stay in that room. This place needs to totally reinvent itself for I would never recommend to others. Thank You
I liked how close it was to where I live There were NO towels, washcloths or bath mats. Also, when I stdyed there the cops were raiding the motel and had the streets blocked off. I feel I should have been compensated for the unconvinced!
there was only 2 bath towels in a room. i called staff to bring us more towels, they did not even show up. they don't have good internet connection at all. it was so getto. seems like honeless are hanging out around there.
Facility was dirty and short staffed.
This place is horrible. Blood splatter on wall, door had been kicked in, filthy, drunkards fighting next door, previously on fire. I got my money back. Seriously stay away.
The price. And location to Old Town Roseville. It was an OK place to stay with my brother, for one night as we went to a concert nearby and had some drinks This is the kind of place I wouldn't mind staying in as a young 20 something year old. If I checked in with my wife, we would have checked out and gone elsewhere. Looked like it also had long term residents living there as well.
The staff was nice and they were clear about giving directions. The tv and channels were good ones. The room we stayed in had a fridge, sink, and two top stoves. It also had a table with two seats and a couch. I liked how the closet had a curtain to cover your clothes. The room design was nice and better than it expected. I don't like how the tub was clogged up, but as I was about to call the front desk, the man who gave us our room called to make sure everything was ok in the room, so right away I told him and he sent the maintaince guy up. The bathroom could have been cleaner but it was not disgusting.
The location was fantastic. However, all but one of the staff were curt and unfriendly. I was traveling for business. The water was shut off while I was mid shower. I literally had to go to my business meeting without having been able to rinse-out and style my hair. I was told there was an emergency water issue and they had to shut it off and "didn't have time to warn all the occupants". Would have been nice to have a warning. After, the front desk person was helpful in complying with my being given a refund due to the issues. At the end of it all I feel I was treated fairly given the inconvenience.
The staff. Very convenient to the airport. My non-smoking room smelled of smoke - bathroom not clean
Hands down, the service! Whitney who was at the check in desk when I arrived was do helpful & was so nice about everything! She even laughed along with me while I was feeling so outa sorts and I went to my room in a completely different and better mood than I arrived in due to outrageous family issues that day. She assisted my aunt, who booked the room for me, who is completely challenged by anything involving technology. And was clear, precise but very patient and accommodating with her. Best experience ever!
The host was helpful in letting us use the phone to arrange a rental car and taxi at the end of our stay. It is a gamble how great your stay here will be. My room was as expected but one of my traveling companions did not have as good of luck. Her first room was not cleaned (someone had been very sick inside!) so she asked for another: the front door on her second room did not lock (this was particularly disturbing as it was on the ground floor and there are many vagrants in the area); her 3rd room was better than the other 2 but still smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite the fact that it was non-smoking. You can try your luck!
It doesnt look like much on the outside, but inside was pretty nice for the price. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, the WiFi worked relatively well, we had a microwave and a mini fridge, and we walked in to a freshly-cleaned room every night. We were in town for WizCon, which was just a short walk up the main street, as was downtown Sacramento, which was fun to walk around. The staff was very friendly. They gave us coupons for Dominos pizza (right down the road),helped us with anything we needed, and when a car was coming for us 4 hours after check out time, they arranged for a safe place for us to keep our bags. Overall a great experience. The street that it is on is a bit noisy, but you get what you pay for. Our room smelled slightly of smoke, but it was something that went away quickly once we opened the window or turned on the air conditioner. The good far outweighed the bad-- a good price for the stay we had.
Nothing That it wasn't as advertised.
Friendly attendant Dirty, scary, smelly, area, and no amenities.
I love how the bed had a light on the bed frame. I love how on the outside it looks like a cheap hotel till you get into the bedroom and it looked really nice. And the bed was nice. And the hot shower felt awesome after a long day on the road. How small the rooms were. Just needed to be a little bit bigger but other then that I really liked it
Communicating w the front desk. Very rude
A couple blocks away, there are nice things. I suppose that the price was tolerable for the area. but you get what you pay for. Old location. "Breakfast" was some dry cereal. Location is noisy, frequent panhandlers and loud crazy homeless people outside. Frequent car alarms. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were flat as can be. Air conditioner worked sporadically. Hot water took a while to flow. Old broken tube TV.
The hotel was dirty and and manager was rude. Not even worth the 63 dollars
It is relatively inexpensive. The bathroom was clean and everything in it worked well. The neighborhood is not great but not terrible. The police arrested someone in the parking lot. No alarm clock. The carpet is filthy. Some of the clientele is sketchy. A lot of noise at night - police cars, trains, people driving loud cars fast. The refrigerator made a loud and annoying noise every fifteen minutes or so and did not function properly.
This place was dirty. It's one thing to have cob webs in the room (though not acceptable), but it's another thing when the cob webs are in the shower. Clearly hadn't been cleaned. The handle on the leaky faucet was broke, and there was some trash on the floor near the heater when I walked in.
Staff was efficient, friendly and helpful. Midnight check-in was not a problem. The room smelled heavily of mold and dust. The photo on the website is deceptive - the room isn't that nice. My shower wouldn't stop leaking, which probably contributed to the smell. It's a dive, but it's right by the freeway and I've stayed in worse places.
clean, friendly staff, everything worked, great parking, safe area, economically friendly can't lock the deadbolt from the outside. no pool (LOL)
This place was a great value. It was clean and satisfactory. The building was a bit older, but I was extremely happy with the value of the place. Wallpaper was pealing off the wall and the bed a bit hard but no deal beakers.
The staff was friendly and kind. We needed a portable crib for our son and they don't have any available which made the stay more difficult. More of a adult place to stay I think.
Proximity to our primary downtown destination (about 10 min drive). Mostly clean, comfortable renovated room. Nice to have fridge and microwave. Good wifi. Friendly staff. Standard comfortable king size bed. Night #2, two cockroaches in bathroom. Seeing as how dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, while cockroaches have thrived for 320 million years, I'm somewhat fascinated by these creatures and only about 75% grossed out. If this is a big issue for you, you may not want to stay here. My personal policy is to not kill any living thing, so I let them live. I lived as well. I did let staff lady know and she apologized and said they will work on it. Towels were small and pretty meh quality - we were glad we had our own. Also glad we had extra pillows as they only give you 2 on the bed and we like having more.
Owners are nice It was so disgusting that we booked a room at another hotel. The price was much higher, but I felt safe and clean.
the most dirty and smelly hotel i ever had the misfortune to visit.... I will never book another hotel through Kayak You are a fraud.....
Nice, friendly staff...
I like the fact that we had free parking and it was close to an IHOP so we could have breakfast and relatively close to our destination. And it had air conditioning. The price was right for just a place to sleep and it was clean but the furniture was cheap. Someone was playing a stereo really loud til around midnight and couldn't get to sleep right away. The staff was a little rude & argumentative while checking in.
Staff was friendly Noisy night club on property. Thugs hanging out in parking lot.
I wasn't really expecting the best hotel when I got there but at least a semi clean room would have been nice. The bathroom was disgusting there was urine all over the toilet seat and the bed looked as if they had just made the bed with used sheets. My towels looked used too, so I asked for a few extra and got treated like I was asking for gold. Location isn't so bad.
The availablility of staff. I arrived at 2am and loved that I could still check in. The hotel was like any other. A little run down and we there was a needle in the bathroom. Not very clean.
I didn't like anything My father got bit by fleas in this hotel when I asked for a refund I was told my the front desk girl the manager said 'no' when I told her about the situation she stated 'I just work for the manager, I can not do anything' this place sucked --- dolla
Was nice and clean, friendly staff. Close to Ihop for Breakfast so that was nice.
Clean and pool People outside talking all night. Traffic noise
Room was clean, simple and adequate for the purpose Very noisy.
the area is not the best nieghborhood but the location is good to get to anywhere in sacramento close to freeway, stores, banks and gas station. the staff was really nice and even the security. I was happy they have two security officers there. the only down fall was no mircowave or mini fridge, the matress are a little to thing you can feel the springs.
Rude staff dirty pool hard beds will never return Staff rude dirty pools overall bad experience
For what you pay, it's great basic comfort .. It's not the Motel 6 from years past, great room renovations give it a cleaner feel I wish it had a mini frig...
My friend and I needed a place close to the convention center and this place was definitely a stone's throw away which helped with commuting over the course of 3 days. It's not the most luxurious place, but if you just need a place to sleep, then this place is fine. Has some good sides and bad sides, but if you're on a budget and you have a buddy, this place is alright to stay at. Sometimes smelled a bit like smoke, but it might have been from the other rooms.
I liked the price and the ease of finding it from the Interstate. I had hoped it would be closer to Old Town as I had to take a cab back at evening's end.
Room was OK .Not fancy, Location good. Owner antagonistic. Wanted to extend the stay. She said there were no more rooms available. Went onto Kayak and found a room for 3 nights. (Think they wanted to charge more for their rooms without the web site.) Kayak sent the reservation on their fax. She held it tight in her hand so that I could barely look at it. At each point in the negotiations she disappeared into her apartment without a word. There is NO customer service here. She said we would have to change rooms. But when her husband was at the desk, there was no problem in staying in the same room. Had mild diahrrea on the sheets only...they threatened a $150 surcharge when all they had to do was wash the sheets in bleach. The room next door were noisy till all hours of the night. An OK room but the management was horrible.
Clean Front desk sucks!
The room was reasonably clean for a pet-friendly room. I have stayed at MANY Motel 6's- both corporate and franchise, and this was the worst check in experience of my life. It took twenty minutes after waiting for about 15 for the people in front of us. The had issue with my VERY LEGAL temporary driver's license and would not take it. They asked for an outrageous amount of information from my friend (who looks like a bit of a hippie) that they did not ask of any of the other guests. I felt we were profiled, and the staff was rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. They had an ARMED GUARD standing watch with his hand on his gun when we pulled into the parking lot. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! It was the WORST!
Really great for the price. Affordable, clean, seemingly newly renovated room. Complex well lit with security guard. No option for early check in. I asked at the desk to check in at 1210pm... (to change and get ready to attend a buddy's wedding) they told me they would call me when a room was ready but they never did. I changed in my car :/ also you need an ID for each guest staying in the room and no outside guests after 8pm... that's kind of a hassle. My guess is that's to stop late night shady business issues? So it's kind of good in the sense that they're trying to keep the clientele classy... but what that says about this neighborhood is bad.
Nothing to like about this place Everything, staff was rude and unhelpful, room smelled of smoke, bedspread had cigarette burns and blood on them. I had to take my daughter to urgent care for treatment of bed bug bites. If anyone is writing good reviews on this place, they are lying. Our visit was on 11/11/15.
That I could lock the door. Had good a/c. Had good hot water. The breakfast food was bad. Not in a good neighborhood. Much about the place needs repair. Only had one elevator. Had no hair dryer. Had no wash towels only drying towels.
Clean and tidy Did not have plates for waffles no spoons for corn flakes eggs didn't have taste
