The pickup was a little confusing as the space number the car was in was incorrect. We had to press the panic button on the keyfob to find the car in the covered parking at the syracuse airport because the space number was incorrect10.0 Wonderful

I reserved a compact car, but they could only offer me a pickup truck or a minivan. The minivan was nice and well equipped, but I would have preferred to have the vehicle I reserved instead.9.6 Wonderful

It only took about 15 mins. total to check in and pick up car. Not pushy on insurance or extras. Vehicle was excellent, not one problem. got an SUV and the gas mileage was much better than expected.Cons:
I wish he'd spent a little more time showing me the important accessories, it started to rain on the way home and I couldn't figure out the wipers until I got home, but I did know how to drop the back seats and turn on the seat warmers. Some of this on me, I was in a hurry. Overall, great experience.10.0 Wonderful

I got to the counter and was told that Thrifty had not had a presence at the Syracuse airport for several months. I had a panic attack, then booked another car with a different search tool. I won't use Hotwire or Kayak again2.0 Poor

Made reservations on 1/21/18 for rental dates of 2/16 to 2/20. When we arrived at the airport on the morning of 2/16, we were informed by other car rental agencies that Thrifty had closed up permanently about a week prior, not only at the airport location but at all locations that the one franchisee/owner operated. We were not informed by any means, which left us scrapping for another car. We were able to obtain one through Budget/Avis, but unfortunately we were unable to get the size car we wanted. Any car is better than no car, but had the Thrifty franchisee/location owner informed us at the time they closed, we would have been able to search out a car from another agency. Poor management and ownership representation. Would like to give ZERO stars.6.4 Okay

I paid almost $400 for 3.5 days. If the car was at least midsize it would have been almost worth it, but it was a tiny compact Ford Fiesta and I felt carsick the entire time driving it! Mind you this was almost $400 without ANY coverage. $25 extra per day because I’m under 25 years old. I will never rent from thrifty again.2.0 Poor

When I signed up for the car which was a one way trip from NY to NC it asked me when I would pick up the vehicle and when I would drop it off. I entered 8:00am pickup on Sunday, drop off before 6:00pm Monday. I dropped off at 4:00pm. Hertz didn't have that information so instead of paying $216 I wound up paying $390 and I am less than happy. $15.75/hr plus addl for anything over 24 hrs. Find this unfair and wrong. Wont rent again through Kayak8.0 Very good

Upon pick up there were still candy wrappers from the pervious owners, and a few dirty spots in the car, which I ended up purchasing cleaning wipes for and wiping down myself, given “COVID” these days, I played it safe.10.0 Wonderful

After I got re-routed to a different airport, my 24-year-old son had to pick up our car instead. I was worried because I thought you had to be 25 to rent. There was a small fee associated with it, but he was able to pick up our car with no problems, last minute. Thank you!10.0 Wonderful

Drop off was terrible. Persons in garage were pushy and grabbed my keys and locked the car as soon as I arrived. Asked them THREE TIMES NOT TO LOCK THE Car UNTIL I GOT MY TGHINGS OUT!!! But they did anyway and said they did not. They had the keys so it was not me who locked it. Seemed like they just wanted to grab the car and not give me time to exit Just a bums rush!!10.0 Wonderful

The price was much more affordable than Hertz's car rental for a driver under 21 years of age, although a little excessive.Cons:
The car was parked very close to a car on the left, which made it very difficult for me to get into the car initially. The car was not clean when I first entered it. The steering wheel was oily and there were crumbs from food on the floor and under the emergency brake. The windshield wipers had some sort of sticky residue under the rubber, not allowing me to properly wipe my windshields. Visibility was low during my road trip, making driving somewhat dangerous.2.0 Poor
