Cons: The rooms needed some maintenance, and I cannot be the first ones to notice it. There was mildew in the shower on the ceiling that needed to be bleached. The shower leaked into the bathroom, because the original construction did not properly angle the tile to make the water drain back into the shower. The sink stopper did not stay plugged. The phone in the room did not work. Again, I cannot be the first person to notice all these. Why have they not been addressed?

While the pool area is nice, I wish there were a second “quiet,” or adult pool with additional hot tub. This hotel certainly caters to families, but not everyone has kids, and something less chaotic for relaxing would have been nice.

I think this was probably because they were so busy due to it being Christmas, because I've stayed here twice before and never experienced issues before. Breakfast buffet ($22) is great too - seems pricey, but the options are high end from ham, bacon, prosciutto, salami, variety of cheeses, sausages, yogurts, fruits ( melons and berries), pastries, artisan breads, omelets, oatmeal, boxed cereals, and then the usual scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, waffles, etc. Other food and grocery store options are literally within 5 miles. Overnight parking fee was outrageous, but whatever. I think it's ridiculous to charge hote guests to park.

I loved the gym, the pool, the lobby bars and restaurants. Steve, Jimmy and Jamie, at the Mist, specifically, were kind and so nice and accommodating. Good service equals happy customers,they deserve a bonus for working hard and remaining not only calm, but kind, even at peak times with a variety of guests to deal with, including some that were less than kind.

Cons: $15 per day for spotty WiFi is terrible for a business traveler. I'm a Marriott Rewards member and so told WiFi was only free if I booked directly through Marriott - but you don't always have control over these things when you're booking business travel. Very little in the area - Sea World across the street, but just a 711 and Bonefish grill in the area and VERY DARK sidewalk and parking lot make it clear this is not an area for pedestrians. Seemed a great fit for families, with the water park, but as someone in town for a conference, it didn't offer anything to make me a repeat customer.

Cons: The only bad thing was Housekeeping...timing housekeeping to clean the room so it wouldn't cause a scene (barking, making the dog nervous) with our puppy was rough. We had come back from the parks and would wait up to 2 hours before we left for dinner. I called housekeeping to come in and clean the room, telling them that I will be out within the next 2 hours, so if they could send someone ASAP so we are with the puppy be that in the room or outside of it (the puppy would stay in the room while we would be out on dinner). No one ever came to turn our room over and we called front desk several times and waited the 2 hours. I guess housekeeping was MIA. So during our stay, we never got fresh towels and our beds was never made.

Pros: This hotel was great! We arrived a bit earlier than the 4pm check in but had no issues getting a key and the room was ready. I was expecting one standard room but it was actually a suite with a full kitchen, living room, bed room, and huge bathroom with a big bathtub. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Only noise I heard was some loud people walking through the hallway briefly in the morning. We didn't have a chance to check out any of the property amenities (one night stay) but I would like to stay here again in the future and see everything. My only issue was the kayak price was $71 but after all the taxes and fees it was $88. Upon arrival the hotel put a $100 hold on my card and charged an additional $11.25 as the resort fee. The hold was returned immediately to my card after checkout. I guess this probably happens at most hotels, I just wasn't expecting it but I would definitely stay here again! Btw we were not hassled to buy a time share (it was never even mentioned although I suspect that's what the blinking message on the room phone was about) and they gave us a coupon for a free photo book to create.

Cons: Not ideal for business travel. I didn't have a car and the taxis called by the hotel were extremely unreliable. Uber was a much better option but didn't realize that until it was too late.

Overall the room was comfortable for two people. It was also good that they had a quite pool, however you need to get there early if you are to have any chance of one of the poolside cabanas.

I am so glad we ended up here! It has the benefits of a resort without feeling too commercial. The pool (there are four but we only made it to one) is large and beautiful. There are games set up at the pool, a waterfall, and a pool bar. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. They give every guest a courtesy gift. It was so comfortable, we ended up not going out and instead getting a bottle of wine and relaxing on our large screened in porch. I highly recommend.

Cons: We stayed in building 10 on the fourth floor , the building backs onto a very busy noisy road. There was a very limited amount of washing detergent, shampoo, soap etc.. They should just add a couple of dollars to the cost of the room and supply an adequate amount of toiletries etc. The TV was so dark it was very difficult to watch any program . We were informed that there was no brightness adjustment on the TV it was an auto select feature, also informed they had numerous complaints and were in the process of replacing them. We only used the small hob for cooking twice , it was okay but mainly used it for boiling a kettle of water for a cup of tea. The exhaust fan over the hob vents into the room so all cooking smells stay in the room. Had breakfast at the on site restaurant it was average, staff were very nice.

This is also a timeshare and we went to a sales pitch. The salesmen were very pushy and essentially held us hostage for several hours.

Also while leaving there was a long line so I walked over to Jeff to ask him if I had to stay in line to check out and he was extremely disrespectful. Every one you asked who worked there said they would send someone over but no one would ever come . Everyone at the place was complaining about the service . I had to switch seats at the restarant because I was tired of hearing someone was coming and by the pool I had to make believe I was sitting in a different section to get someone to help me . Then when you finally get the food it was high priced and poor value , salad at the cafeteria was better. Someone needs to fix the problem because it takes away from your day at the pool .

Cons: The beds were very hard. The walls thin. The $20 parking per day for a guest staying in the hotel is insane. The fast check out tells you to leave your keys in the room. However, you need these to get out of the deck, we had to check out a 4 am to make out flight so fast check out was needed. Well it was totally pointless when I had to go by the front desk anyway when I couldn't get out of the lot. I would expect much more plush beds in a hotel at this price. Then there were the walls, the rooms have a pass through door. I see the point in it. However, you can make out the conversations going on in the next room. Not to mention any noises in the hallway.

As for the parking, unless you choose valet parking, felt like we were on our own. No one to give you instructions as to where to go. For the price of this hotel, they can be more professional.. also, the room smell horrible. Definitely need to do better.

Pros: The staff is friendly and the restaurants are good. While everything is expensive, I loved the fact that there are salad bars with lots of healthy and vegan options. This included different kinds of beans and quinoa.
Cons: The WiFi was a bit iffy and the magnetic key cards need to be upgraded. They warn you not to keep them close to your phone. Even though I didn't, I twice couldn't get back into my room. Once I needed to have security come to let me back in and the other time I luckily had a second key card in another pocket.

Cons: Asked to arrange for a taxi at a specific time the following morning. The next morning, the 'taxi' turned out to be a Suburban with some connection to the hotel with an 'unknown' price. The evening reception was nice, free drinks and snacks, and the staff they had working was terrific.
Our tub did not work for baths, we asked for maintenance to come by with a plug. they came and looked and never returned or called. So I'd say their staffing was uneven.

Cons: The catch with the lower price listing on this booking was having to sit through a 4 hour timeshare presentation of West Gate. This was a bit disappointing since we ended up loosing half of a day of a 5 day family trip on something we were adament on not purchasing. Once all was said and done we had to improvise to complete the rest of our day, since it was to late to get a start on the activities we had actually planned for.

We only went for the prizes but they ended up using two of my vacation days for information we told them we didn’t want. So if you decide to go. Cons: I read some of the bad reviews online, but decided to give it a chance because you can't please everyone. That was where I made a mistake. When we arrived at our room we found it with the door propped open upon entering the room that was a musty odor the room was unclean and there was mold growing in the bathroom. . We called the front desk and ask for a change of room, and while we are waiting for the person who had just checked out of this room came back to look for something they had left behind. They had just checked him and asked to be moved because of the mold as well. They were just recycling rooms and giving that open room to the next person that walked in the door. About three doors down there was another family who I just checked him who is also leaving because of mold in their room. We promptly went through Travelocity and ask for our money back on the reservation, which we were granted even though it was supposedly nonrefundable, and book another room at another hotel. By this time it was 3 o'clock in the morning as we had landed in Orlando at midnight

Cons: As soon as we checked in we started getting the strong arm to upgrade our room. We were lied to and told the rest of our party was staying in another side of the resort so we would pay for the upgrade. When the rest of our group checked in they were on the side of the resort we were originally on. Then we had a few run ins with staff. If you are going to be a family resort 2 miles from Disney property then I am going to compare you to Disney. No where close to Disney. The staff is rude. They are not focused on the customer. I had two employees yell at me and tell me I was wrong. They wanted to argue more than fix the problem. It does not matter if I am wrong (I was not) you should not argue with your customer. This is my first and only stay at the Nickelodeon resort. Orlando has a huge market for family resorts and this resort is not worth the (or any) money. Customer service is not a concern with this hotel so I am no longer concerned with staying there.

Cons: I guess they are adding on or doing some type of construction so finding the entrance was a pain in the you know what. When I finally did get there it was so backed up with traffic and confusing.
When I finally found a place to park my car and went to check in the process was difficult because there was a mistake in the computer.
Every time I asked a question to make sure I understood the instructions I was given the check in girl answered with attitude and annoyance. The entire staff seemed miserable and was not pleasant to interact with. As someone who has been in customer service for 10 years this to me is a reflection on the hotel and how they treat the employees.
No free breakfast. The breakfast offered is expensive and not very descriptive on the menu. Because of the lack of description I ended up ordering something containing a food I'm allergic to.

Cons: Poor bathroom design (that can be fixed rather inexpensively): shower curtain not long enough combined with curved curtain rod above straight shower basin's threshold edge resulted in water all over the floor every time we showered and we couldn't do anything to control it. Extra towels were needed regularly to keep the floor dry. Wet floors in such tight space could have been catastrophic for anyone unaware of the issue. Large door and minimal toilet room space weren't ideal either. Initial body odor smell coming from the vents was a problem for me too. Eventually it went away.
Solutions: replace shorter curtains with longer curtains, replace curved curtain rod with straight curtain rod, have door swing out of bathroom instead of into the bathroom, air fresheners installed, extra towels for each room.
Other suggestions would be a mini fridge on all rooms. This is important for families with young children who need to keep milk cold instead of filling a tiny ice bucket. Also I think better screening needs to happen for language capabilities for the facilities employees. They were kind but hard to understand and they didn't understand basic English. Larger trash bins in the room instead of small bins split to 2 halves (strange design) for what we assumed to be trash/recycle, but bins were too small to fit 3 empty water bottles on 1 half. Actual cup trays for the Market would be convenient for those buying hot beverages.
Hotel was under construction at the time which wasn't ideal but we know the place will look beautiful when complete.

When I confronted a staff about it , she hesitated and expected me to be ok with the charge since the room number and last name was on the receipt . Cons: This hotel is more in line with a 2 star motel. The building in the picture is misleading as most rooms have exterior corridors which would be fine had the neighborhood been better. There were signs out front advertising “420 delivery.” For those unaware that is drug sales. I was in a black hole for cell phone signal. I was told the internet was down in the entire area only to discover that was a lie and only my building was affected. The air conditioner was a wall unit that sounded as if it was going to take off like an airplane and barely kept the room cool. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Drain in tub not working. No hot water in the shower. No blackout drapes... no curtains at all for that matter. The staff did nothing to resolve any of my issues. I was told to “deal with it.” The only reason I stayed instead of getting another room is the kids fell fast asleep within minutes of arriving at 10pm and we planned to be at the water park the next morning.

Cons: The parking was not good. Especially at night. The breakfast buffet not worth 13$ for adults. I paid for the kids but the food was nasty! Biscuit overcooked and hard, juice watered down, need I go on.
We checked in a 1230 AM and we were tired but I had Doritos crumbs under the pillow. Red juice stains on the other bed. Then I had to call to get our room cleaned with fresh towels at 4pm the following day. However, at check out they stalked our room.
Would come back for water park only. Stay somewhere else.

Pros: Very nice people at check in . Helped with everything. Being disabled sometimes is a challenge
But this hotel can accommodate.
Cons: At checkout they came by our rooms and told us we needed to leave and when we booked our reservations we confirmed a late checkout for one room. It was ok because we understood the hotel was at 100 percent .just wished we new so we didn't have to pack so quickly.

Pros: The aquatic park but only works 6 hours and They close one area of water and open another, intermittently,
Cons: Uncomfortable, the items in the room were dirty, the furniture and chest of drawers old and in poor condition, rust came out of the shower for the disabled. In my reservation, the parking was included and they charged cost for that 2 times. You should remove the resort title because it is not even a fifth of that. Pools open after check out (at 11 am).
