People at the counter were extremely efficient. Even at pickup time and dropoff. The car had a lot of dents and scratches on the body.

I didn’t even get the car, the rental company was trying to get me to pay more money for a made up thing, basically asking for bribes to give the car to me. I kept saying no and they kept lowering the price of the bribe money, until i just walked out and never got the car. Very eastern block experience

Pros:

the staff I dealt with was ok, the policy and the manager are terrible

Cons:

I booked medium size, the manager called and offered a Dacia, which was out of the question, ad on Kayak says opel astra or similar. They offered a 20 euro full insurance over the phone, when I got there it was for 35 euro. You can pick up in town, their office is in a school, weird. Worst of all they charged me an extra 17 euro for me dropping off the car Sunday as "surcharge for dropping out of regular office hours".

Big scam, stay away from this company. They charge me insurance deposit which supposed to be refunded back once the vehicle is returned with no damage. They never return the deposit.

This company is a scam. They lure you in with a competitive price, then when you arrive at the counter they don’t have the car reserved, they ask for additional money for an “upgrade” and they ask for additional ridiculous amount for insurance coverage that try say it will be refunded at the end of the rental (which was never disclosed at the time of booking online or in the rental advertising). When you provide them with proof of own insurance coverage they refuse to accept it and refuse to refund your money that they force you to pay at the time of pick up. Total scam, there are thousands of similar reviews online. Their reviews are one star across the board. Not a single happy customer. It’s amazing those scammers are still in business.

Shame on Kayak that is dealing with fraud companies like Nextcar. I’m disputing the payment because the company doesn’t exist in Bucharest. We went all the way to the office and there’s no furniture, no people, just an empty office and people from next door telling us that the police has been many time here looking for someone from Nextcar. This is a scam!

They take you to some spot away from the airport, ask you to sign a bunch of documents. Claim they are taking a deposit then when you get a chance to actually read the documents you find out they never took a deposit but rather charged you more than 10 times ( $1700 for a $180 booking) more for non-refundable LIABILITY insurance. They even have the nerve to try to talk you into comprehensive, at that price ($170/day for $20k car), it should include a driver as well. I tried to cancel when I took a look at the contract, but they refused to refund my money and puffed his chest like he wanted to fight me.

They asked for my credit card to add it to the file until I sent the proof of insurance. I dropped the car off a day earlier and I’m still waiting for them to refund my $2,348.52. On top of this they processed it as a charge not just authorizing my credit card and had to pay $70.45 internațional fees. When I returned the car they said they will refund the money in 48 hours and this didn’t happened yet since 6/25. Very unprofessional. I have to open a fraudulent charge investigation now. Please advise and help me recover my money! Thank you!

The agent was not at the airport on the day of pickup. He told me the reason was that he had called me a day before and I had not answered, which is not true as I have the call logs and haven't received any call/sms/email. Then proceeded to tell me that most of people don't read T&C and that I had to pay 500 EUR insurance for 4 days if I wanted the car, on top of other fees. I am pretty sure something like this would stand out in the invoice, not hidden and nothing to do with T&C because this company would then have much bigger problems than scam sales. I raised a dispute for service not provided, scam offer change. Never again.
