Fully renovated hotel located close to Galeries Lafayette, Opéra Garnier and the Louvre Museum, the Mercure Paris Opéra Louvre has elegant, modern rooms. Treat yourself to the authentic Parisian charm of this old mansion house when on a business or leisure trip. In our eighteenth century rooms, enjoy a tasty breakfast before exploring the heart of Paris. After an exciting day, enjoy the calm of this new haven of peace.
The hotel has good location at the center of the city. It is at the middle of business district, hence, there is good choice of restaurants around.
The hotel is very outdated, they need to undergo complete renovation. There is very old carpet in the hallways and room itself. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, as a result, the bathroom had smell of mold and dampness.
The hotel is very close to a Metro station - only about 4minutes walk. This was not made clear and so we took a different route to it on arrival in Paris. Once we had found a better route it was very convenient. The bathroom was large and modern and the bed was comfortable.
The wardrobe was very small and its position near other furniture meant it was very hrad to get into and the safe was in there so access was awkward. The shelf the safe was on was quite high so we had to balance on the step of the wardrobe to see into the safe. Breakfast was 18 euros! Needless to say we did not have it. Altogether I would say this hotel is a 3 star, not a four star hotel. We got a good last minute deal on the price but I would not pay the full room rate. If you can get a deal, it is a hotel to consider.
