We stayed for 2 nights. The motel is a basic but comfortable place. The room was a good size. It had been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. For anyone wanting to find an in-expensive but clean and comfortable room, this is a great place to stay. (room had a fridge, microwave, & modern TV))
Pros: The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.
Pros: Basic hotel room, nice to have kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave & sink. more room than some around beds.
Mini-golf (one round free with room booking) and bumper boats were fun. Short walk to beach, nice walk, good area for skim boarding.
Nice to have continental breakfast.
Cons: No air conditioning so room got warm, the provided fans helped.
Decor a bit dated.
Would have liked hard boiled eggs, yogourt as breakfast options.
Didn't like hearing Manager berating staff in reception area next to breakfast room in the mornings. Would recommend some staff motivation and anger management courses for the manager.
Pros: The rooms are clean and the location is great as its a quick jaunt to the beach. Its very close to restaurants and such in the area.
Cons: The pool and hot tub were closed for renovations. My file said that they had tried to call me but i had no indication of a missed call or a voicemail. :( when we expressed that we weren't happy she didn't seem too concerned nor offered us anything b/c of the mix up.
Cons: The room didn't have a mini-fridge. What place doesn't have a mini-fridge??
Pros: Large rooms, nice property and nice facilities.
Cons: Not worth the money. A super dark room, paper thin walls, unvaccummed floor and an overgrown patio. Coffee Whitner is something I would expect to find at a budget motel, not in a "resort" @175 a night. Also No complimentary coffee or tea in the main lobby...lame. When I came 10 years ago, I was very impressed, however this time I wasn't itching to go home and tell all of my friends about my weekend getaway.
Pros: Beautiful view
Amazing rooms. Large. Clean
Pros: The rooms, although a little dated, were large, cozy and had a beautiful waterfront view. The proximity to the beach, pool, spa and hottubs is fantastic!
Cons: The restaurant, Fire and Ice, used to be a great draw with its large fish tank and tasty menu, however they have removed the fish tank (huge draw for kids) and the food and atmosphere are mediocre at best.
Pros: Great sized room, heated bathroom floors, nice setting
Cons: Very bad sound proofing between rooms.
Poorly lit pathway and suite number signage.
Cons: Breakfast had to be eaten in their eating area. Couldn't take it back to room.
Pros: Clean Great breakfast Friendly staff Clean pool - the pool Is only 3 feet deep great for kids just surprised to see a pool only 3 feet deep.
Pros: It was clean and fairly well maintained. The sufficient water pressure and shower head with hose was appreciated. The breakfast was good. The AC worked well.
Cons: The bed was a bit firm. It would be nice if the breakfast had some more wholesomes options such as bran muffins and hardier bread or bagels. The price was a bit steep for a 2 star hotel. Rooms near the hwy are a bit noisy with the window open.
Pros: I really liked the waffle maker for breakfast
Pros: Close to Qualicum Beach
Cons: Bathroom had black mould on the grout and the whole place needs some serious updating. Half painted outside, gardens an overgrown mess
Pros: The breakfast was pretty good, the larger sized fridge in the room was appreciated, the bed was comfortable, and the room was quite spacious and had a big window which we kept open to allow fresh air to come in. We also liked the hot tub and pool.
Cons: It showed signs of age and could probably use new carpet throughout; the bathroom could use a renovation - new sink & faucet at least.
Pros: Lots of parking. The breakfast is good. The room was clean, and not too dated.
Cons: Rooms near the main road are noisy.
Pros: Nice spacious room and bathroom. Room although on the main floor was relatively quiet. Nice comfy beds. A/C was great, nice and quiet. Cost included a continental breakfast. Room included a fridge and coffee machine.
Cons: When we made the booking online, we requested a quiet room on the upper floors bur instead got a room on the main floor
Pros: Pleasant, well informed staff. Excellent location.
Pros: Staff were very polite and welcoming and the breakfast area was well stocked and very clean
Pros: Good location near downtown Parksville; free continental breakfast is fine; lots of free parking space
Cons: Rooms are very tired and linens/towels appeared to be washed/clean looked very old & worn; limited amenities like decent soap or shampoo in rooms (comes from a dispenser, very poor quality; Visited in low season and staff were nearly absent
compared to low price, the value is good.
Pros: It's an ordinary hotel of 2 stars, clean ,quiet ,and conveniet location, with free wifi ,free parking and free breakfast.
