Pros: The staff and the owners were very very attentive and friendly. Absolutely trying to do everything to make you feel cared pf
Cons: Nice antiques but very spartan accommodation. Need to invest to refresh and make the facilities up to hotellerie standards. Not yet there.
Pros: Host was very welcoming and greeted us promptly with great communication.
Pros: The hosts were extremely nice. The breakfast was lovely, above standard for Italy. The place has a lot of charm, very nicely done.
Pros: Alessandra was a very nice host, she helped us with everything we needed and we could always ask her our questions via Whatsapp. The room is very nice furnished, very clean and had comfortable beds with down cover and comfy pillows. The breakfast was great! We got fresh bread from the bakery and Alessandra would cook eggs and coffee, whatever we wanted. She also offered orange juice, fruits, granola, joghurts and she made fresh cakes and cookies - delicious! Lake Orta is beautiful, wonderful for hiking. Going over to Orta San Giulio we took the car because there are only private taxi boat services in the winter months.
Cons: There is nothing we did not like! Alzo is very quiet and those nights we would have liked to stay there, the restaurants were closed (there are only one or two). Walking down to Pella takes about ten to fifteen minutes, and is a little steep, but ok.
Pros: Lovely host. Very comfortable and clean room. Beautiful setting!
Pros: The hosts. Alessandra and Gabriel were very helpful, bright, charming people. Breakfast was great- she baked some wonderful cakes- chocolate and coconut, lemon and poppyseed. Plus eggs, anyway we wanted them! This is not Lake Como, it’s quiet and not a tourist trap.
Cons: It was a few blocks downhill walk, then uphill from just a few gelato and pizza restaurants by the lake. If you are fit and healthy, it’s not a problem. But on the weekend, there is a great place open just a block away. There was an interesting Capella en route to the Embarcadero.
Pros: We found a cozy room in a quiet courtyard in the middle of the historic Borough of Alzo. The host were very friendly and they give us some tips for hiking tracks nearby. If we're visiting again Orta Lake and its surroundings we definetely know where to stay for a night.
Pros: The design is fantastic! The pictures do not show how wonderful the apartment is. While outside is the scorching summer hot, in the apartment the temperature is really comfortable.
