Nothing was fabulous
Great staff, clean rooms and food and drinks were grate. Loved their beer garden
Staff friendly. The outside where you enter to the rooms looked a bit tired, but inside and rooms were renovated and extremely clean and very nice. Was lovely to have a balcony to sit outside and read. Bed was huge and comfortable! We had dinner at the hotel first night and food was good. No breakfast option, but loads of places within a casual stroll. We were attending a wedding second night and was great to just walk to the function. Guildford is a lovely area, beautiful trees and quaint shops.
We like having fresh air so had left door to balcony open the first day & night. Was a little noisy, trains went by frequently and obviously on an airflight path as a few planes went over on a low level, noise was loud. Second night used the air conditioner, so noise level better. Like most places we stay at, not enough milk (especially using those tiny little tubs of milk, you need at least two per cup! There's only ever about 4 in the fridge), tea, coffee and sugar. We are big coffee tea drinkers and this time I brought my own. I suggest they put 2 of the small cartons (think they're about 100ml) of long life milk per room. And please have mugs not miniscule cups!
All else was very good
Type of coffee in room
Good shower, comfy bed
No microwave, cheap coffee in room. foreign staff who don't seem to care.
