Originally known as the Hotel Victoria when it was built in 1897 , The Inn at St. John is Portland's oldest continually operating hotel, with over 110 years in operation! Of course there have been many upgrades since then but the Inn still retains its Victorian era charm. Our customer service is of a quality many larger even four diamond hotels can not match. Combine this with very clean and well appointed rooms , unique decor, and very reasonable pricing and you have what to us. and many others consider the only place to stay when visiting Portland, Maine.
Very sweet and quaint. Some of the accommodations you share a bathroom, but you save money when you chose one of those rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent!
Beautiful quaint little inn
No elevators: not an issue for me, but maybe for others.
Warm decor , free and convenient parking
Clean, friendly, not too far from town
External bathrooms won't be to everyone's liking , wasn't a big deal for me
Clean, comfortable room-beautifully decorated!
Location wasn't the best but that was a minor setback.
Employees are super super nice and kind. Comfortable bed. 200% worth money
Very welcoming, very nice.
Internet was in and out often.
The bed was uncomfortable
Location, cleanliness, and historic charm. Well located within walking distance between Portland's RR station and Maine Medical Center.
Bathroom tiny, but not a problem.
Half the price of other options in old port, friendly staff and clean rooms. Very European set up, small rooms detached bathroom, but nice enough facilities. Interesting old building.
Less than 10 minute drive to airport, intimate rooms, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable, great price
Nothing comes to mind
