Location, cleanliness, kind staff, breakfast
The bathroom was separate, on the hallway. I didn’t mind it though.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Inn itself was quaint and charming. Location was a plus.
Great Old World Hotel
Old world feel but up to date amenities. Large room. Didn't feel like a "hotel". Loved it.
A little away from the harbor and restaurants. Walk, cab,Uber solves that issue.
The friendly and helpful staff, and the ambience. And the price.
I agree with a previous reviewer that the bed was not as comfortable as it could be - a little stiff with hard pillows.
Clean comfortable friendly staff

As a historic Victorian-era building, the Inn At St. John offers a wide array of room styles, all of which are competitively priced and individually appointed. Whether a guest is searching for a romantic luxury accommodation, a lighthearted weekend getaway, a hotel with pet-friendly rooms to accommodate the whole family, or just an economically priced room for an extended stay, the Inn At St. John is exactly the place guests are looking for.

A great deal of thought has been put into every detail of the Inn, from the classic and elegant decor to the extensive and complimentary continental breakfast offerings. An approach to high standards such as this sets the Inn At St. John apart from their competitors and gives them the confidence that their guests will agree.
Conveniently located on the west side of downtown Portland, the Inn is easily accessible to everything Portland has to offer. With numerous restaurants, shops, art galleries, and night clubs within walking distance, guests are certain to find days filled with delight in Portland.
