Filters
Only complaint was that both beds seemed to be on their last life for bed springs. So noisy. Just sitting on the mattress made the entire bed creek, let alone rolling over etc. Everything else was satisfactory.
The room smelled. It was inches away from cars parked outside. It was cold, everywhere. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom door would not stay open.
Great location to PortlandSeadogs. Easy on and off Rt 295.
Pros. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Clean rooms. Quiet location.
Cons. Breakfast was blah. No variation of food items.
Cons. Arrived at midnight to a blocked off parking lot, cranes and construction. Clearly closed yet someone still answered the phone and said there are a couple rooms available in the back. I felt bamboozled!! Cancelled and stayed at the Clarion around the corner.
Pros. It was close to downtown. With the train station and sea dogs field you would have thought it was noisey but it wasn't at all. Staff was friendly and the room was comfortable.
Cons. The driveway entrance comes up quick and is kind of narrow.

Pros. The rate was affordable, which was nice since we just needed a place to stay after getting into the Portland airport. Our flight arrived at 12AM, so it was convenient to not have to drive far afterwards. Also, the free continental breakfast in the morning was a definite plus!
Cons. The rooms were not clean. There was rust all over the bathroom, and the shower was stained with mildew. Also, the hotel is in a weird part of town, and we didn't feel safe walking to and from the car to get our luggage at night.

Staff was so very helpful -- allowing us to return our rental car to the airport the night before our flight and then they picked us up there, and they ordered a cab for us early in the morning to get to the airport; they directed us to pick up some breakfast items that were getting ready to be put out even though it was an hour before the official breakfast start time The place was so clean and the rooms lovely, quite the contrast to a motel we had stayed at the previous two nights
Pros. This hotel has a great location...close to the airport, close to the downtown waterfront, and easy to get around. It is definitely on the low-end of prices for the area and there was nothing bad about the area around the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was nice, nothing too fancy, but worked out great for a quick bite before meetings.
Cons. The rooms are pretty dated. They have tried to dress them up with new bedding, but the rooms smell terribly of smoke, even though they are 100% non-smoking. The first room I got was so bad with a smoke smell, that I asked to be moved, which they accomodated. However, the second room was just as bad as the first, maybe even worse. My business colleague said the exact same thing about his room, so I am guessing that most rooms smell like smoke.
