Just needed a night’s sleep at midnight. Put me in a room facing the interstate and windows blocked no sound at all as the semis engine-braked all night. Room seemed reasonably clean but didn’t look in depth. Overall a bit dingy feeling. Because there’s no elevator, getting my bags up the stairs wasn’t ideal, but it was ok. Bed was definitely comfortable though. Pros (+) The beds were firm and comfy so we were grateful for a good night’s sleep. The carpets were relatively new and our kids were able to take a half hour swim after 9 hours of driving all day so we liked that.
Cons (-) The breakfast was very mediocre but the kids were excited to have all sugar for breakfast. The sheet on my bed had encrusted, dried, body fluids stuck to it. I called the front desk for new sheets but since there was only one person on staff had to go down and get them myself and make the bed myself. That is not what I expected to have to do after a long day of driving when I was ready to sleep. I...
