I reserved an economy car and the only options available to me were an SUV and a pick up truck. I took the SUV and immediately regretted it - it smelled like smoke, but at this point my only options were to return it and try to cram my family into a pick up truck or wait around until something else became available. Also, most rental car places now have options for paying for tolls when you are traveling across state lines. Not so at this Enterprise.9.6 Wonderful

Associate that helped us rent the car was friendly and helpful Pickup process was easy and fastCons:
The ford vehicle is cheaply made, windshield wipers were in terrible condition, uncomfortable, dirty and smelly. We were not told that the location to drop the vehicle off would be closed by our arrival time noted in the agreement. No after hours instructions lead to massive confusion and frustration10.0 Wonderful

No floormats - which apparently is pretty normal for rental cars. I didn't really effect me, but with New England weather, I was worried about the snow and salt ruining the carpet. Again, I wasn't responsible for the carpet, but it had us scratching our heads as to why they would leave out floormats.Hertz

The car still smelled like smoke to the point that had to vacuum it myself before leaving for my trip. Also brakes were extremely screechy.2.0 Poor

I had a dispute with Thrifty about a scratch on a rental that I was not responsible for and didn't do. So now I am on their DNR list which I guess is your DNR list also. I won't rent from you in the future but you should have told me upfront when I made my online reservation instead of telling me you can't rent to me at the counter. Budget was great with no paranoia about scratches and a quick drop off.10.0 Wonderful

Good communication and accommodation of our late-afternoon pick-up. Car was in very good shape. Clerk was very friendly and helpful.Cons:
The invoice, as originally printed, already anticipated - and charged us for - an extra hour of rental, even though the itinerary clearly showed that we expected to return it [and, in fact, did] by the same time of day that we picked it up. When I asked about it, the charge was quickly removed, but we were told that it would have been a hassle to have it removed on the drop-off end, so I'm glad that I noticed it up front.10.0 Wonderful
