Our check in was fast and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bed was nicely made and comfy. Candy, the weekend breakfast hostess is friendly and right on top of everything. Breakfast was good and the Breakfast bar was kept well stocked and hot. Peggy, was great. She was very knowledgable about the area and restaurants. The grounds were clean and well kept. We WILL be back.

The entire stay was uncomfortable.

Hampton Inn has always been reliable for us, but this experience was not a positive one.

Heating/Air unit kept cycling all night - very loud. Stem to pull up to activate shower broken so could not take shower in the morning.

There was a security issue with police in the hotel looking for person who 'blew' a traffic stop. I met the two policemen as they exited the 3rd floor elevator and they mentioned why they were there and asked where was my room. I told them and indicated that my husband was in the room. I was going to get snacks in the lobby. When I returned, as I exited the 3rd floor elevator, a 20something man approached me signaling to be quiet. With my prior knowledge, I quickly headed down the hall and thankfully the two policemen were headed my way and as I passed them they saw the man turn the corner behind me and indicated 'that's the man'. When I reached my room, I looked back and the man was going face down on the floor with his arms and legs spread out in a surrender pose. The policemen were almost to where he was. I am thankful that the police happen to be coming back down the hall from knocking on 3rd floor doors looking for the suspect as I don't know if the man would have continue to follow me to try to get into our room. The police should have instructed me to return to my room immediately and stay there and call the front desk for the all clear when we needed to leave....really not Hampton Inn's fault, but they and the police should have err'd on the side of caution. I feel I was lucky in this instance.

Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. The air conditioning works well. Our refrigerator wasn't working well and they quickly replaced it with a new one.

It appears that the floors of the rooms have never been cleaned, they are filthy. If you don't have shoes on in your room, your feet will get brown quickly. And soon as you step into the shower, you see the dirty water running off your feet.
