Pros: Everything was great, This is my third time here all was great!
Pros: My sister and I stayed over Christmas. The staff took the trouble to leave a Christmas stocking with a card and small gifts outside our room on Christmas morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Booking.com had not sent our reservation to the hotel. It was not the fault of the hotel. Booking.com system had failed so I advise it is best to check with the hotel if you book with Booking.com. The hotel was not full so another room was allocated to us.
Pros: The location was perfect for us. We were glad that we had booked ahead as the hotel was really busy. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. In spite of a busy hotel, our room was quiet. The young woman who checked us in was extremely friendly and gave us a preference of room location.
Cons: We always appreciate the hot and cold breakfast choices available at Super 8 Hotels. We don't get up super early, not late either, but by 8:30am after our second night, most of the food was gone and breakfast was slim pickings. We are guessing it was our timing? There was no staff around to help fix the situation. Our breakfast the day earlier was great: fresh scrambled eggs and sausage with an assortment of breads and bagels, yogurt and fruit. My husband enjoyed the waffles and syrup.
Pros: Newer hotel. Nice and clean. Standard hotel breakfast included eggs sausage and waffle maker
Pros: located next to a Tim Horton's. The room was large, with a separate bedroom living room area. It had a fridge. It was close to town. there was a continental breakfast but I prefer a real breakfast. It had an elevator although I prefer to use the stairs.
Cons: the staff never smiled, always hiding in a back room. I had a problem with my room key, couldn't enter the room. I had to go to the front desk and find someone. I asked a house keeping staff for help, so she found someone. The lady gave me 2 keys and showed the housekeeping staff how to reload the key. I went upstairs but they also did not work. I retuned to the front desk where the housekeeping staff gave me another key. It did not work. Returned to the front desk and the regular front desk staff gave me two additional keys but commented that they won't work unless you use them on the correct room. I told her I wasn't stupid and left, and the keys worked. At no time did the staff offer me an apology for the inconvenience, instead seeming to blame me for interrupting her as she relaxed in the back room. This was totally unacceptable.
Pros: Helpful front desk. Clean room. Comfortable beds. I have stayed at three differant hotels in Red Lake in the past and Super 8 is the best value.
Cons: Only one ice machine and it was on first floor.
Pros: Friendly woman staff
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: A very spacious, comfortable, attractive and well appointed room. Conveniently located next to a Tim Hortons BUT no need to stop there for breakfast as the breakfast included with our stay was very good - even the coffee (take that Timmys!). Lovely view from our room looking into Red Lake especially at night when the snow was falling. A most delightful stay and hope to return one day - spectacular country and the fall colors and lakes were breathtaking!
Cons: Think the addition of an outdoor hot tub and/or pool would be a wonderful addition. Might make it feel more like a holiday destination rather than just a place to sleep and have breakfast when visiting Red Lake.

Pros: The front desk staff was excellent and restaurant service and staff excellent .. extremely accommodating.
Cons: Few intoxicated people walking in back lane during night
Pros: The staff was superb, very friendly and helpful . Very welcoming . Room was clean and comfortable , I'm in love with the bath tub ... nice and deep ! Food was good and served really quickly and again the staff was awesome
Pros: It fit the bill. Restaurant has good food and you can walk to the store or downtown.
Cons: Guys coming and going are noisy, late in, early out, make lots of racket.
Pros: I grew up in the town of Red Lake, so it was kind of cool to be coming back after all these years and stay in the Howey Bay. As a fresh 18 year old, I worked at the Howey Bay - as a waitress in the bar - way back before the major renovations they have made to this place over the years. The smoky bar with it's collection of cloth covered cocktail tables (say that fast, eh!) has been completely replaced by a bright, open restaurant with a small bar at one end. The room was clean with basic decor. Large TV screen and a good desk area. Washroom is small but functional. Liked that I could open the window for some fresh night air. I had a good stay here. Clean and comfortable and convenient to stores and restaurants. Check out Antonio's Restaurant for some great pizza as well.
Cons: There was no lamp next to the bed. I had to use a headlamp that I happened to have with me (I knew it would come in handy one day)

Pros: Restaurant on location
Cons: Sound insulation from adjacent rooms could be better
Pros: Good hotel for if your flying to an outpost camp. Restaurant on site that serves breakfast early and dinner late. I would stay again given the location.
Pros: Friendly staff. Newly renovated. Newer Bar with TVs. Not the Tj Mahal but very clean and at a decent price. Very comfortable beds.
Pros: It had a great restaurant there and the staff was great!
Cons: The room was old, bugs coming in under door. The air conditioner was loud, bathroom very small. Could use a lot of updating.
