We were greeted by very friendly staff and taken to our room where there was a bottle of wine, chocolate, & a beautiful rose bouquet waiting for us! We had a private hot tub and sitting area on our balcony with beautiful views! I wish there would have been a television in our room. And a heater in the smoking tipi would be very nice it gets cold in there.
Friendly, courteous, accommodating staff!Yoga class was wonderful!Great coffee. Checkout at 11.
Everything about the Chipeta Lodge is relaxing; their people are vary helpful and accommodating. We stayed 3 nights in early Aug (Sun - Tue) and the resturant was not available, however the views are spectacular and the whole experience was enjoyable. We plan to return before the snow flies.
Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa provides a comfortable experience in a rustic setting. Besides the attractive and roomy 2 story condo with 3 sinks, refrigerator, TV/wireless, and separated lounging and sleeping areas, the extras were special. The indoor spa and outdoor pool were attractive and well cared for and the lounge was cosy. The restaurant was beautiful and provided live music. However, the food was just average and no continental breakfast was provided.
We stayed at the Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa right before Christmas. With our room we recieved free ski tickets to Telluride Ski Resort as part of a promotion the hotel was offering. We had a great time. The snow conditions in Telluride were great. Apparently, the snow this year is above average for the area. The staff at the Chipeta were great and very helpful and knowledgable about the area. We also recieved passes to a local hot spings which was a great winter treat. Our room was comfortable and we got one of the coveted rooms with private hot tubs on the balcony which i definately recommend in the winter. It was wonderful watching the snowfall from our hot tub! We will return to Chipeta!
Staff was very accommodating. We were there to visit family who live in Ridgway. We would bring our granddaughters over in the afternoon for swimming or to spend a night with grandma and grandpa and the staff welcomed them. Not really. The only comment was that the heat/ac was under the window and when on the fan would blow the air up behind the drapes which was inefficient. We managed to tuck the drapes not he windowsill to avoid this.
I loved the character of the hotel, although it was an older property it was beautifully maintained. I also loved the location. No
Location, location, location.... Hotel does have a pool, hot tub, and sauna, which are nice after a day of 4-wheeling, hiking, mtn biking. It is a dated building with minimal amenities. no elevator, window unit AC didn't do much to reduce the humidity. Towels never dry, whole room just felt damp. Continental breakfast was very minimal.
It was relatively quiet. We noticed a pretzel on the floor near the bed so whoever cleaned the room did a poor job.
The staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly. No
Location, friendly staff and cleanliness
a convenient location for our needs The room we were in was next to the office and we could hear the TV all night. Probably should have called the front desk to let them know.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful!!
The staff is very caring....went out of their way to make me welcome and comfortable. It should be noted in that there is no elevator, so that people who can't do stairs need to request a ground floor room in advance. A comfortable relaxing chair would have been welcome.
Clean and comfortable. T.v. reception wasn't great but we only used it a little at night. WiFi wasn't very good.
Location,Cleanliness,Staff The room would be larger.
Beautiful facility, professional staff, quiet rooms I felt a bit like they were trying to nickel dime me. One example, many hotels provide complimentary drinking water in the room. Here a bottle of water will cost you $1.50 if you drink it. Water that you can buy at Wal Mart for $2.99 to $3.99 a case.
I love that the pool and hot tubs are available to use 24 hours. The free hot breakfast is great! There is laundry on site, as well as a gym. There's also free wifi and it's pretty good as long as the weather isn't too bad. Same for the satellite tv. Not all rooms are the same! At first we were put into a very small room with the tv beside the bed, instead of across. I did not like that at all. But the staff was very nice and we were able to switch rooms. Parking may be an issue if the lodge is fully booked.
We have stayed in several places for several years in Telluride. This hotel has the best hotel beds you will ever sleep in period.
Everything was great! Staff super friendly, helpful and awesome! The bar only had two types of draft beer and no bottled beers . They need to add a few more....
I'm in hotels about 75 nights a year for work and this was my first time in Telluride, and the hotel was great in every regard, but the staff is what really made this hotel a 5 Star place, especially Ron and Niko. The streets were covered in snow and ice and Ron and Niko toted us everywhere in town in the suburban shuttle. They were so friendly and knowledgeable about Telluride and just couldn't have been a better representation of the town. Can't wait to go back! The breakfast in the little restaurant was pricey and the food wasn't that good, I'd recommend exploring the town for breakfast places.
The hotel was very nice and cozy. Room was spacious (once we got in the correct one). And location was ideal. The check in staff seemed confused about our room. After the 3rd try we finally got in the Junior Suite room we had reserved. There was a "welcome bag" on the bed with water, sunscreen, pain reliever, chips and an inexpensive mp3 player. We often get these at various resorts so we thought it was a nice touch. Turns out the bag was meant for a wedding party but there was no name tag on the bag or any indication it was for a wedding. Upon checkout, my husband, 13 year old son, and myself were independently grilled about what happened to the bag and the contents of it. I even received a vm from a staff member. I consider this extremely unprofessional as this was a hotel error by not having their room assignments correct. On another note, the shuttle driver was very nice, pleasant and helpful.
Location and decore were beautiful, really liked the balcony on our room. Wished this hotel had better access to food on site.
Awesome Place, what I call an old fashioned hotel. Big rooms, great decor, friendly staff and pet friendly. Even had a sign up to welcome our dog. It was off season so the restaurant was not open but the staff drove us to anywhere we wanted to eat.. Loved the balcony allowing us to sit outside with our coffee. Bed to high
My husband and I had never been to Telluride. As I looked on Kayak this hotels price and pictures caught my eye. It was exactly how the pictures looked. The rooms were beautiful, the staff was very helpful and they have a free shuttle service to take you wherever you need to go! Only one thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. We woke up Saturday morning at 9am to order room service and the person who answered was very rude and said "Were not doing room service right now, were understaffed and extremely busy!" Then hung up....when we walked by the restaurant an hour later it was closed and empty?
Beds to high!
Great bed, hot shower, great views Staff was a bit young and really unprofessional. A huge party over 2 days took place at the common area with blasting rapping music and 100 college aged kids taking over the pool and hot top so a 30 something like me wasn't able to relax in the tub at 10pm after the days activities. The staff didn't try to stop anything from happening. Would not stay here again.
Amazing views with great access to the town via the free gondola. Pool has amazing views!
Staff was friendly and tried to help . . . The room (which we could not see when reserving on Kayak) was literally the smallest hotel room I've ever seen - a glorified closet actually. We also could not determine if it had one queen or two doubles - the fact of a single double proved highly difficult for my 19 year old daughter and I since it literally took creative engineering to fit the cot in the room . . . all this for only $200+ per night . . . buyer beware
location power outage
Difficult to describe the resort. We arrived late and no one was there to check us in. Keys were left. Easy to access and everything was in order. We were there just to sleep and up the next morning to next location. Overall everything was fine.
Beautiful mountain lodge with great views. The rooms were beautifully decorated, beds comfortable and staff helpful & accomodating.
It was a nice, basic mountain lodge. Clean and had a great patio view. Definitely more for skiing season. The room had one bedroom and a small living room that was small/slightly uncomfortable to hang out in. A better place if you just need to sleep.
Accessible to slope, and the Gondolas. Very clean and beautiful. Although I didn't really need to interact with staff, I witnessed some troubling customer service. Get angry at them, and they get angry right back. Made it a little awkward waiting to ask a question with a guest and person behind the desk yelling at each other.
Mister in room for dry air. Tub size. Bed comfort. Price. No stopper for bathtub.
Great staff, location, spa facilities Got a great deal last minute Resort fee is annoying - just include it upfront Room felt a little dated - bed surprising uncomfortable (too soft) for a 4-star hotel. I had 120 hotel nights in 2015, and this was less comfortable than any of them Still four stars because everything else was good
Great facilities Staff needs a bit of training. Service was only so so.
The staff went above and beyond. The view and locations great. Beautiful & cozy. The loud snow groomers at 3 Am in the morning.
It was a perfect stay from check in to checkout. From the time Stuart and Shane checked us in and finding accommodations for my Corvette and Harley, all the way till to our final breakfast, this was an ideal place to stay on the mountain. And speaking of the included breakfast, Shane wasn't lying when he said it was the best in all of Telluride. The room had a balcony, fire place , small kitchen and a steam shower, which included use of a private hot tub on the top floor overlooking the mountain. We will be back next year, same time. It was all good!
Very nice staff! Friendly and good breakfast. Clean
Great locationn one block off main street Updated old motel. Pretty standard room , generic. Noisy guests. On street parking worked out bur did not like absence of any storage for our bikes that sat overnight through a storm.
I couldn't be happier with my stay at the Victorian Inn. The staff is super friendly and made special accommodations for checking out. The room was immaculate and clean. The Inn is right next to downtown and the gondola making everything super convenient. The only issue was that I didn't stay longer.
Being on main road-a bit noisy, and would've enjoyed continental breakfast.
It was a good location, friendly staff and cheaper rate then most in the area. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is very small and did not have air conditioning, so we had a fan on all night, but was still on the warm side. It was fine for one night, but wouldn't want to stay much longer then that.
Staff was friendly. I like that they don't service the rooms everyday. I'm not a slob, so it gave me a bit more peace of mind knowing that someone wasn't in my room when I wasn't there. Price for the room was very good for the area. I would stay there again. The mini fridge was very efficient. I initially turned it all the way to max cold and then discovered partially frozen milk the next morning! :) I turned it down a bit after that. Shower water temperature was nearly impossible to keep steady. It went from just right to HOT to COLD without warning and proved to be hard to readjust with any consistency. Parking seemed limited. They should have at least one designated spot for each room. I was leaving early each day and coming back fairly late, and I was never sure if I was going to have a parking spot when I returned to the room.
location was great and rooms were clean noise from bar went until 130AM on Saturday night. Rooms were cramped
The new Sheridan hotel is a beautiful building with a great location right in downtown Telluride, you walk outside and are right in the downtown street with beautiful mountain views all around. The inside of the hotel was lovely, it had this great old time feeling and was beautiful. The room was very nice and very clean, it was comfortable. The hotel room while beautiful and clean was so tiny, for what we paid to stay there for two nights I couldn't believe how small it was, the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. They also advertise on their website that they have hot tubs, I called the front desk to ask how late they were open and the guy told me they didn't have hot tubs and when we tried to go up to the rooftop deck, the door was locked but we could see hot tubs up there. I just thought it was interesting that he said they didn't have any when we could obviously see them, it's one thing to say they're not open right now but why'd he have to lie?
Location was the best! The hot tub isn't open in the winter...which is the only time when you would want it.
When checking in we were greeted with a smile and a very cute and happy puppy in the lobby. We knew immediately it was Family owned and operated. The rooms were very clean, the bathroom was huge, bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again. Just a little pricey.
Extremely friendly staff, relaxing hot tub.
Great spot in Telluride, close to everything and great price
We stayed only one night but the staff was pleasant and very accomodating. It is a very simple stay, basic and very clean accommodations. For a quick stay, 1-2 nights this place is just right! The parking was a bit tough, but I think that goes for all of Telluride.
It was a very pleasant stay for a very reasonable price, would stay again.
Room was clean. Front desk taff excellent. Not enough parking. Construction noise.
fair rate for Teluride: $114/night old hotel and it took a long time to check in and check out
Heather at the front desk was very nice and flexible. She helped us with all of our needs and was super friendly.
This extraordinary boutique hotel was a perfect mix of elegance, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service! Everyone from the valet to the front desk exceeded our expectations, and made us feel like we belonged here. Absolutely cannot say enough good things about this hotel and the staff. Having to leave at the end of our stay...
Very clean. Friendly owner.
This motel was a great value - the room was recently renovated with very comfortable bedding and was very clean. In addition, the hotel offered a breakfast voucher for a local deli.
The beds were very comfortable and having a suite was nice.
every thing was Great
Quite, clean, family-run business. Heater was noisy
The staff was amazing. Very helpful with all requests. Great location, close to town and ice park
Great value for the money. Staff was wonderful and very accomodating with my late evening arrival. Would definitely stay here again!
There are wonderful perks with this hotel.
Clean, friendly staff, right next to gondola loading area, quiet, 10%discount for spa treatments, spa located near lobby. Fireplace in room. Robes provided for hot tub/sauna. Great breakfast included.
