Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moortown Lodge, Sabine and Mark were extremely friendly and very helpful with local knowledge. Our room was very clean and tidy. The Lodge itself is beautifully decorated with access to a nice garden with a seating area to enjoy a cup or two. The very generous breakfast was absolutely delicious with homemade yogurt - what a treat! Sabine and Mark - Thank You. Moortown Lodge is perfectly located for access to the New Forest and the the Coast. Ringwood has a number of countless restaurants and pubs for excellent meals.
Cons: As we were at the front of the Lodge there was some traffic noise, particularly if you opened the windows, but not enough to spoil our experience. Stress not, we had a large fan placed in our room for cooling our room which worked particularly well during the very warm weather we experienced.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable, the bathroom very clean.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely home and lovely hosts. Unfortunately the shower in my bathroom was not as it should be with very low pressure - almost not sufficient to wash hair. Marcus immediately apologised, changed shower head and cord in case just limescale buildup. sadly needed electric power boxed replaced and no one to do it during my stay which is why I cant rate all as excellent. Otherwise it was a delightful place, nicely furnished and enjoyed the small kitchen area for guest use which was helpful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order.
Cons: To be honest I did feel Marcus could have made a gesture on my bill for the poor shower experience as a big part of the expectations not met and particularly tricky as I was there for a wedding. Hey ho.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. No problem being gluten free. Friendly throughout our stay and was very helpful eg putting bikes inside overnight when it was raining. We arrived mid morning and it was fine to leave our bags and we were given a key. V comfortable room. There is a woods , family park, cycle trails nearby that you can easily walk or cycle too so great for family with young kids.
Cons: It is quite noisy at times as just off a busy road. Ok for us as in the back bedroom and not outside but could be distracting in the summer or with the windows open. There was no mobile signal in the property so had to use the wifi. Taxis are a real problem at the weekend and quite expensive when you can get them.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and bathroom. Freshly cooked breakfast in the morning, which was ordered the day before.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant welcome, nice room, comfortable bed and tasty breakfast, thank you! Liked having access to fridge/milk/kettle etc

Pros: The private garden is wonderful to sit out in. The owner was very generous in having such a well stocked larder. 2 great pubs are within walking distance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a hidden gem! Sue and Maz are great hosts. The little extras of cake, prosecco, cheese, milk plus a whole basket of cereals, breads and goodies is such a nice gesture that many places miss! The accommodation is bohemian bijou, which we love. Very plush furnishings if you look them up! ;) but the garden is stunning, like a secret grotto! Sadly we went on a very rainy weekend late September, but this would be amazing in the warmer, dryer months. Sue kindly introduced all the animals, horses, sheep, dogs, chickens and a baby peacock! Very cute. It was the perfect bolt hole for me and my husband whilst meeting family in the heart of the New Forest. We would be thrilled to stay here again when we return in the near future.
Cons: Nothing. It's just lovely.

Pros: When we arrived there was a welcome basket of goodies including Prosecco and cheese and a well stocked fridge. The room was cosy and had real character and was very peaceful with a lovely mature enclosed garden. Our host Sue was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She even allowed us to use her horse shower room to hose down our mucky dogs. There are several great walks you can start from the front door and a very friendly pub 400 yards up the lane which was very cosy and served decent food. Highly recommended for a couple who love animals and like walking their dogs in a beautiful location.

Pros: Allowed to bring our dogs and still have a lovely room! Also dog exercise field at back door!
Cons: Nothing. All fantastic
6.7 Good
Pros: Room and bed excellent. Breakfast generally good with a good selection of food. Plenty of charging sockets in the room and clean.
Cons: Dependant upon the shift of staff. Some where excellent on one night, whilst on another, they took food and drink orders, drinks never appeared. Food was good, dependant upon the chef working. Some crockery was not clean. Lots of flies in the restaurant area, with no visible deterant, not a good experience considering it was October. Staff did try to cover bread and pastries, at breakfast from the flies.

Pros: We have stayed before at the Moorhill House, very central for most of the New Forest. The gardens are so peaceful and you can see the ponies/donkeys from the car park. Should you have a dog there are also towels for the dogs. Overall excellent value.
Cons: The fact we had to pay the bill at the end of our stay!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The situation of the hotel is lovely..Staff were lovely..The ponies were amoungst us in the forest at the back of hotel..
Cons: Shower was awful the height bar for adjusting shower was loose so had to hold shower head..Had to move the twin beds apart as were together..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Non corporate hotel, clean rooms, good shower.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and good value for money. The breakfast was also of a good standard and provided and reasonable choice.
Cons: The staff were friendly and helpful and also provided storage for bikes upon arrival.
7.9 Good
Pros: I loved the location, the breakfast was very good, the room was very spacious and comfortable, we had a room with a view which was a bonus, the customer service was second to none
Cons: I had a feeling that the walls were made from paper, we could hear guests in the next room, people talking on the stairs; there were weddings on both nights which means noise and noise again. The worse of all was the squeaky/ creaky floor. We could hear our neighbours' every step. I woke up several times at night as I though someone was walking in our room, it was that bad. Based just on this I would't go back there. I didn't mind that the hotel was dated and a bit rundown as I loved the location. However, it was my weekend to sleep (my 3 years old son doesn't allow me to sleep at nights) and unfortunately I didn't get that
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super location, good quality linens and towels, pool was an added bonus.
Cons: Dog barking in next room, small room, noisy wedding party, pile of vomit outside the front entrance.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good, evening meal also. Menu was quite varied. Quiet with lovely grounds and plenty of parking.
Cons: When we booked it was advertised as an upgrade to a better room. We were not impressed with the upgrade as the room was quite small and required some agility to access the bed on one side. Were we upgraded or was the upgrade very poor? Not worth the money we paid.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is ideally located for those wanting to visit the New Forest and either walk or drive the area or a combination of both. In a quiet location with plenty of parking, the staff were pleasant, breakfast was good, and I eat in the restaurant one evening, the food and service being good. There is plenty of areas to sit and let the time pass by, both in and outside.
Cons: In general terms my bedroom was fine however, the bathroom waterflow was poor with a shower attachment over the bath which was inadequate to shower properly. In this day and age having a bathroom which is only good for a bath, as opposed to being able to shower is not ideal from both personal and environmental perspectives.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Miserable dated room, old knackered facilities. Entire building was creeking so every move was heard. Room was hot and the ‘fan’ was not supplied as described in the booking. Pool was more like a paddling pool, the sauna was cooler than my room. As a solo traveller you spend more time in your room, solo travellers shouldn’t be shoved in the broom cupboard with all the naff furnishings. I came for a treat and it was a bit like staying in my Grandmas spare room. Solo travellers actually pay a lot more and should be valued with better facilities.

Pros: King sized comfortable bed Good breakfast, and excellent service at breakfast Staff very helpful
Cons: Size of room Size of en-suite - "couldn't swing a cat...." Some dust and cobwebs, and top of radiator chocked full of dust

Pros: The price of the drinks and food was exceptional but some dishes lacked satisfaction. We were warned of loud music before the event and that was okay and accepted. It stopped when they advised it would.
Cons: Certain food items tasted reheated - chicken in the fajita burger, Sausages in the breakfast.
