10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is close to city center and right next to the river and mountains, which is ideal for unwinding after an intense day of activities. We had a room with an incredible river view and, at night, you can fall asleep to the sound of the water. There is a balcony on each floor that also faces the river; so we grabbed some chairs and had dinner there one night. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean, and there are fresh linens. Parking is available onsite free of charge. This is a family run business; and the couple is very friendly and attentive. We plan on returning here during for our next visit to Banos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. Very clean. Excellent staff.
Cons: Staff could not find TV remote control.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable, close to center, and the bridge swing. Breakfast on the balcony was great, nice view.
Cons: The location if your alone could be a little scary at night.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with excellent views. Great central location but not too busy.
Cons: Poor wifi signal, and no seats in room
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location overlooking the river, and the people who worked there were wonderful.
Cons: The pillows could be replaced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great views down to river. Right next to bus station. Very clean and friendly.
Cons: Slightly longer walk to cafes and restaurants.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the price, great staff, great breakfast, good location. I want to point out the staff, it really shines and made our stay a great one.
Cons: Sounds are perceptible from other rooms but it’s nothing serious, still it was a great stay for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing, sleeping with the sound of the river rushing by was peaceful and calming, the staff was attentive and the facilities were very clean!
Cons: It would be nice if the hotel had a common area to hang out in so that if there is downtime you can have some space to stretch out. It felt like the only real place to hang out was our room
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice hotel close to the centre. We stayed one night so it was enough for us. Breakfast was simple as usual in South America.
Cons: No window, paper walls so you heard everything from other rooms. It was OK for one night but I will not stay there longer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location in a quiet spot with a view on the gorge. No street noise. Very friendly personnel. Thanks Eric.
Cons: One room with a view on the valley and gorge; second room had only a window facing the gangway (no exterior view)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felt homy, comfortable kitchen and bathrooms
Cons: No windows in room, but still very comfortable
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A lot of the stuff, but especially the chess sets.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location - close to bus station and 2 minute walk to main street. Two well equipped kitchens and decent common areas.
Cons: Not a massive negative but the hostel has excessive signage - no noise after 8pm signs, no alcohol signs even though people still drink, signs indicating wash your dishes signs, for communal things like tea and coffee signs saying only use what you need.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location to the bus terminal, nice staff, clean room, the atmosphere with the young people
Cons: None
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, 1 minute from bus station and 5 minutes from restaurants. Welcoming check-in. Typical ecuadorian decoration. Big bedroom and very clean bathroom. Pool table available on the terrace. Laundry for $1,50 per kilo within the same day.
Cons: Breakfast should be included for that price. The pool table and terrace only accessible until 9pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It perfect for a stay in Baños. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious. Best prices in town for activities around Baños.
Cons: Everything was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room in a good location next to the bus stop. The rafting and canyoning tours they organise are good value. Kitchen is well stocked although the oven was broken during our stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This was a friendly and very conveniently located hostel near the bus station. The staff was helpful, and the kitchen facilities were nice to have. The room worked well but consider bringing earplugs for the dogs barking nearby which is common in most places it seems. We enjoyed our stay. The roof has lovely views of the city.
Cons: A little curtain for the light coming in the door windows would be great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good rooms, comfy beds, quiet to sleep there, good social area, the open fire, the kitchens were brilliant, the cleanliness, the staff were very good, happy and helpful. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate free for guests. A great place to stay but it's not a social hostal. Very close to bus station. Highly recommended.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the pillows that were a bit sad but that's really nitpicking. Didn't like the other middle-age guests who decided to play videos / sounds loudly on their phones and have their phones pinging off sounds all one evening in the social area. Hardly the hostals fault though but I pray for the day hostals start to have rules about guests having loud mobile phones / speakers on phones playing out as they have other rules so everyone enjoys themselves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful stuff. There are two kitchens and there you find everything you need! Late check in was no problem and also we could store our luggage there in a locked room after the check out. The beds have curtains so even in the dorm you can sleep with privacy
Cons: Nothing
Hostal Princesa Maria - Banos (Tungurahua) - Building

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, and organising tours for guests. At the hostel each room has a private bathroom with a shower.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s very clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen you can use and a vegetable market right around the corner. Also only a minute away is one of the best bakeries we had in almost a year of traveling. The owners are very nice and helpful. We never met ecuadorian people who talked for us spanish beginners so slowly and clearly.
Cons: It’s a bit far from the center but totally doable. We walked some days 4-6 times to the center and back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Pretty Building, the owners are very very lovely, laundry service, the kitchen is very good, rooms are big, but a bit loud at night, there's a market three times a week only 1 block away. Would highly recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Victor is a very nice and helpful guy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The showers and the the host
Cons: Drying things in the room could be easier
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owner, great information. Clean kitchen and living room
Cons: Bed was oncomfortabel, very open dorm beds, shaky and not a lot of privacy. Small rooms with bathroom inside of the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. The owners are nice and can book tours for the price you would negotiate in town. The beds were comfortable and the water hot. We got two twin beds instead of one double to have more space. Internet was fast. We used the laundry service. Nothing to complain about.
Cons: The groceries in Banos are basic and limited. I think the locals shop in a nearby city. So we never used the kitchen except for a cold breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best places I have stayed in South-Amerika. The owners are very caring, help you with everything; book tours, do laundry, tips. The place is very big, clean and quiet (thats why I chose it). Its near the city center (5 min walk). There is a kitchen you can use to cook (do keep an eye of your things as somebody stole my noodles). As other people said, Its NOT a party hostel. So if you want to go and smoke weed in your room (thnx for the smell neighbours) please dont go here!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner is so helpfull. He gives you all the information you need when you are there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at the Hostel Princesa Maria so much! Victor made us feel right at home. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean and neat. A laundry service was available which was so convenient. Here is an example of the hospitality we received: My husband wasn't feeling well one of our days in Baños, so had to stay behind when the rest of us went to Puyo. When Victor found out he wasn't feeling well he fixed him a big pot of tea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Victor, the owner was fantastic. He gave us all the information we needed when checking in, a little map plus a print out sheet with information for what buses to get where to see the sights in Banos, how much everything was, how long it takes to get there. Everything was in detail. It made it very easy to plan our days there. We stayed an extra night in Banos because there is so much to do there. Victor is able to book the activities for you also which is handy. Room was very big, and there's a kitchen well equipped. We cooked dinner and had breakfast each day there. Location is perfect. Only a 2 minute walk to the centre but in a quiet area also. Thanks very much Victor. Chris and Eva
Cons: Everything was great

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Casa Amarilla is a grest place to stay with great views over Banos and the surtounding hills. The rooms are comfortable and we loved the outdoor seating area with sofas and hammock seats. Darwin, the owner, was always on hand to offer helpful advice about tours, walks etc. and cooked tasty meals too. The homemade jam at breakfast was delicious! It was worth the walk up and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff/owners, very helpful with tours and what to do in Baños. Thank you very much!! And you have a pretty nice view over Baños from up there.
Cons: It is pretty tough to reach from Baños, so going back and forth from/to the Hostel before and after different activities or tours is not easy at all. However, you can also store luggage at the Casa Amarilla City Hostel during the day (which is in Baños city)!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great view, great hosts, warm atmosphere ...it totally worth the climb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s in a beautiful location. The owner is an exceptional host. It’s a bit hard to find and you must walk 1/2 mile up a steep mountainside trail, but the view and hospitality are completely worth it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were delighted to reach La Casa Amarilla in Banos after a long drive from the Amazon. The horse was waiting to help with our luggage even though we were an hour late to meet Darwin the owner in town. The property, the view, and the family were all wonderful. Breakfast was incredible and we all left with a heavy heart. This truly is a special place to stay. Thank you Bettina and Darwin.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Kind hosts. Beautiful view.
Cons: Long steep non-paved road to Casa Amarilla (10-20 min walk from town), so we didn't use tur fascilities that much.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Homemade breakfast was delicious and view was incredible!
Cons: It is very far up the mountain which we weren’t expecting. It’s a hike to get back which was tiring every time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cosy atmosphere, comfortable room, amazing views and super friendly owners. A home away from home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place we stayed at on our trip to Ecuador! The hike up to the guesthouse was challenging but absolutely worth it! We were also prepared for the hike, based on other reviews. Breakfast was delicious, and the views added to the overall experience!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It is a bit of a walk to get to the accommodation but it is definitely worth the trip: nice people and very quiet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was really great. They helped us book several cheap tours that were really good! The owner talked to us several times and were very friendly and helpful. It was close to town so one could easily walk for 15 minutes or take a taxi for 1,5 $. I liked that it wasn't too close to town as the town is a bit noisy but at the hostel it was quiet. The breakfast was delicious and they gave us big cups of coffee. They washed all our clothes for only 5$. Our room was big and had comfortable beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a great safe and quiet location, with a 10 minute pleasant walk to town and nearby hot springs also only a 10 minute walk from the hotel along a nice valley. The breakfast is very good and enjoyable. The hotel owner is very helpful if you meet him. He even helped me with me business research opportunities and my trip. Great value here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hostel in Baños. About a 10-minute walk into the centre of town, which is fine as it means the property is nice and quiet, away from the noise of the bars! Very clean and comfortable. It is family-run and the owners are amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Gave me lots of info about activities, where to eat etc. Owner even took me into town in his car to catch my night bus on the evening I left (at about 10pm - and they let me stay in the common area / use the kitchen up until leaving). I actually stayed in another hostel in Baños on my first night there and then moved here as the first was pretty awful (dirty and damp) - definitely recommend staying at Monte Carmelo!!
Cons: Nothing! Great stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The gracious and helpful staff, the owner Bolivar is kind and and great host, the breakfast is good, all in all a very good value.
Cons: No dislikes.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cannot say enough good things about the staff here who go above and beyond to make sure their guests are looked after. The place was spotless and the wifi worked flawlessly. Hot showers too! Excellent value for money.
Cons: A bit far from town but only $1.50 taxi
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hostel was lovely. There was a great breakfast included in the price, the location is a 15 minute walk from town so it was quiet, and the rooms were very spacious.
Cons: I would have liked actual curtains in the rooms for better privacy/blocking of light.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - staff - local
Cons: - poor WiFi for room no. 1
6.8 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and warm shower when there is water. On the 2nd day we didn’t have water at all. The lady was really nice.
Cons: Really small double bed but comfy. Really high pillow so can’t sleep on the belly. Location isn’t 10mn from the center but a good 15mn to the Central Park and it’s a dangerous journey as you cross a bridge with cars next to you, high road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The roil was comfy, the breakfast was really good and we enjoyed Baños thanks to the owner’s advices !
Cons: Nothing everything was perfect !

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay here. The property is stunning and well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the spa and pool are fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the fireplace in the room, which the staff lit for us one night. Loved the bathtub for two. Loved the property and grounds--gorgeous!
Cons: Did not like that the spa rooms were next to the pool, so that when kids were in the pool, our massages were disturbed by the noise.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This place was absolutely incredible. There are a TON of hotels in Banos, but this one is regarded as one of (if not the) best available. The grounds are stunning, with a lot of flora and even peacocks. The view of the mountains is beyond breath-taking. The staff is super friendly, and accommodating. And the complimentary breakfast was a delicious buffet style situation with optional freshly made omelets. I'd love to stay again!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nice spa, some of the staff excellent (Mario, Anna, restaurant staff, luggage folks).
Cons: We found front desk manager incredibly rude. Rooms are dark and musty some are directly on loud road. Carpets are filthy and smoke detector disconnected in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and gardean are truly anazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and warm staffs. Everyone is lovely and helpful
7.5 Good
Pros: Our waiter Our room
Cons: I’m very upset
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was newly remodeled. The bathroom was massive with huge Jacuzzi and separate shower. The Rom updates brighten the room. The bedding is great and the views stunning. I could here the river rushing by at night. You wake to the chirping of birds! My reservation request for extra towels and pillows was addressed prior to my arrival. I love this resort. The property, spa, restaurant and rooms are stunning. The restaurant food, presentation and service is very good. The landscaping is stunning. Laundry was returned the same day and very affordable which is really important when traveling cross country. The pool and surroundings are lovely.
Cons: I've stayed here 6 times in the last 5 years. During this visit and the previous year the rooms filled with smoke when the fireplace was lit. Even after requesting a resolution the fireplace was never addressed and was unusable throughout our stay. Our room #40 was beautiful and at the far end of the property. There were no lights leading to the room so after we were left in the room by the staff after check in there was no way to get back to the lobby or restaurant that ight. There were no instructions in the room for contacting the front desk, for room service or anything else. During our 2nd or 3rd day at the resort a request for towels, ice and soda was completely ignored. The property management is not meeting the standards of previous visits.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mario from reception was amazing. He was super helpful. Love him.
Cons: I dont have any negatives.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness, comfort and at a perfect distance from the town center. the facilities looked interesting although we only got to use the pool which was heated and very clean.
Cons: we got back to the hotel at 3 am on saturday, the gates were closed, the staff member in charge wasnt around. we had to wait 30 min until a guest inside went to look for someone who could help us in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything! Set in a 300 yr old Jesuit monastery on 4 acres of lush manicured land, the staff are incredibly courteous; they out of their way to make us feel welcome. The spa was luxurious. The selection and food was great in the dining room, the wine selection was palatable. Alejandro and Javier (front desk reception) went above-and-beyond for us and catered to our every adventure whim and all of their suggestions (and assistance) with our daily adventures was remarkable.
Cons: The beds are quite hard and the light in the rooms is very diim, especially the bathroom. It is almost impossible to put on make up in the bathroom/room, I had to sit outside in the sunlight with a hand-held mirror. The lighting of the walkways on the property is a little dim and unlit in some areas which makes walking (in anything but flat shoes) rather dangerous as the walkways are all black volcanic stone set in mortar. This is definitely not a good location for anyone with mobility challenges. (But nothing in Banos is disability friendly.)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a beautiful location up against the mountains but one block from town center. We rented two rooms for our family of five and they were awesome. Our three kids’ room had a balcony with a hammock looking into the center courtyard and the mountains. And our room was across the courtyard looking into the kids’ room/courtyard/mountains. The breakfast room was cheery and the food was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the staff; they were helpful and nice. The hotel was lovely; the room and the bathroom were very clean and spacious; the location of the hotel was excellent; the breakfast was AMAZING. We loved everything about this hotel!
Cons: There is nothing that we didn’t like.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was really good, and t had various options of sweet and salty food. The location was amazing just 100mts from the city center
Cons: there was a little stain on one of the pillows, from a previous user. Someone crash pur car during the night, but no one in the hotel wanted to help, becuase of their security policies.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good. Staff is super friendly and they have a booking desk for tours. Nice salsa class in the hotel lobby.
Cons: Found some hairs in the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room with modern bathroom, super comfy bed, great breakfast and friendly staff. Towns center within 3min of walking distance. Nothing to complain! I would come here again anytime!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and clean room. Staff was always really helpful.
Cons: You can hear quite a bit outside your room throughout the night. The breakfast in the morning is supposed to start at 7:30 but really it’s around 8 when it comes out and it’s quite awful. We ate down there once and then ate out the rest of the trip.
La Casa Verde - Banos (Tungurahua) - Building

9.3 Excellent (108 reviews)

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Casa Verde! If you want a place to stay outside of the crazy city center then this is the spot for you. It’s only about a $2 cab ride into town and we’ll worth being a bit secluded and having incredible views of the mountains/river. The staff was wonderful, Johan helped us book tours and gave lots of great recommendations. And the women working there were kind and helpful as well. Breakfast every day was perfect. We will certianly stay here again if we return to Banos!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view of the river was amazing.
Cons: It was hard to get to.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, freshly made pancakes, eggs etc., fresh juice, fruit. Beautiful view from the room and cool hammocks. I wish we had more time to enjoy it!
Cons: Location was a bit far from the town, and not so nice to walk so each time you want to go to Banos you need to take a cab (it's only 1 or 2$ so cheap, but it's annoying you can't just simply walk to have a bite or something). Not much in the close neighborhood of the house, so if we just want to be in silence surrounded by nature - this would be a place for you. If you like to have a drink or a bite in a restaurant or go for tours (which departure from the center) you won't be a fan of this location! Outdated bathroom. They run out of cold beer at our arrival (that was a serious issue for my boyfriend :D)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Environmentally friendly and stunning views from our rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Johan was extremely helpful and friendly, and gave us great advice for places to eat and things to do. The room itself was large and beautiful with a great view. Good breakfast. It is a mile and a half walk to the center of town but we enjoyed walking in for dinner most nights and got a taxi once or twice ($1.50).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Johan makes an excellent host. He went out of his way to make sure that our every need was accommodated. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the central part of Banos (2 km), but far enough away so that we didn't have to endure las fiestas that can last seemingly forever. Breakfast, what can I say: it's to die for. Nothing super fancy, but everything is first class and the homemade bread, better than you can find virtually anywhere. The public kitchen area has facilities so that you can make your own meals, or eat your take-out. Beer and wine are available (at extra cost), so no need make an extra run for that. Our group of 3 arrived during the rainy season, so we had a day during which we mostly stayed indoors. The large, open public spaces were very much appreciated that day. If you're going to Banos, this is the place to stay.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly. Perfect for families.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was the best experience I’ve had with any hotel/ hostel, etc... The staff are the friendliest people on the planet. They are super helpful booking excursions or having food delivered. The breakfast is amazing. The coffee is amazing. The view is AMAZING!! 100% recommend.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were fantastic with a beautiful view. Johan gave great suggestions and was so attentive. The breakfast was a serious spread and was delicious.
Cons: A little on the edge of town so take into account if you don’t have a car- but taxis are so cheap and your guides pick you up so honestly not a huge deal. The location means quiet and a great view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, clean & comfortable rooms with awesome river views. Delicious breakfast and free tea & coffee provided all day! Johan was super helpful and all of the staff were lovely and welcoming. Really good value for money!
Cons: Loved it all!

Pros: It is a beautiful posada in a quiet area near terms. All the areas incl rooms are nicely decorated by colorful patings. Stuff is very friendly and nice. Big bathroom, good hot shower. Excellent big filling breakfast. You can choose btw 4 options. Special big pancake is really good, in addition fresh fruits and juice and granola. If you are very hungry, pick huevos rancheros. It means in addition to eggs beans, avocado and rice. Also they serve dinners which are beautiful and tasty. Recommended place, would stay again.
Cons: Wifi signal in the room was weak and was not stable. Only good if standing next to door. Nowadays it is as important as hot water.

Pros: True to its name the Posada uses a lot of art as tasteful decoration. The "living room" with the fireplace is very cosy. My room had a good size and a nice garden view. Within easy walking distance one can find several restaurants, a waterfall and a hot pool. For breakfast several, equally tasty, options are available. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: Check out was a bit slow. Credit card information had to be input into a laptop manually.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and the decor and great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel fits the vibe of Banos perfectly; relaxed, friendly, with a hippie-cool feeling. The food was great & the owners were welcoming. If you stay there, treat yourself to the best massage you’ve ever had by Diana, whose studio is down the street. We highly recommend the hotel!

Pros: The location is pretty good : it is close from the center and quiet at the same time. I like waking up with the view of Baños. The staff was nice. The bedding was comfortable and the extra touch with the embroidery on the towels is a good choice. As it was raining, it was good to have a ping pong table to play!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very glad I chose to stay here in Baños. I did not want a party hostel, and this place was very chill, quiet, & relaxing. When I was there, the hostel wasn’t super social, mostly couples, but everyone was friendly. There is a SPA at this hostel- my massage was $25 for 60 minutes, and surprisingly good! The beds were clean, and very comfortable, with charging stations and lights at each bedside, as well as lockers. The bathrooms were very clean, and had hot showers with good water pressure (what a luxury in Ecuador!). Breakfast was nice; crepes, bread, some cheese & ham, coffee. WiFi was fast. I found the employees to be kind and helpful, and it was really lovely relaxing in the hammocks in the front garden. The location is a bit out of the center, but only a 10 minute walk from the heart of it all (yes-there is a hill involved, but it isn’t too bad!). As a solo female, this area felt quite safe to me, and a taxis are super cheap if you did not want to walk at night- a worthy trade off to avoid other hostels’ beer pong parties and night club noise!
Cons: No complaints!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner gived good explenation about the things to do around and the tours. The breakfast is really great. Wifi worked well. Next to the stairs to hike up to casa del arbol
Cons: Only thing was , that sometimes, i felt a bit of presure to book all the trips trough the hostel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! was nice I love the hammocks in the garden
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great! The place was great and really safe! I really liked it !
7.0 Good
Pros: Very clean and great rooms. Plus super cute puppy in residence.
Cons: The way this place operated could only be explained as the "Ryan Air" or "Tiger Air" of hostels - they tried to charge extra for everything and refused to let the hallway lights remain on for longer than 2 minutes at night. Worse still, you have to pay to store your bags and use the Wi-Fi after you checkout. Something that I have not seen anywhere in south America during our 3 month trip.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and friendly! Good breakfast and great staff.
Cons: For its price there is nothing to dislike. Exceeds expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personnel was lovely, always ready to give a lot of information, details, help plan your time. Being sick far away from home, and having staff be extra nice to you is a big plus in my book
4.3 Okay
Cons: U can't use the wifi or the kitchen after checked out (11 am) and when I complained about it, I got kicked out. Staff were not nice, rooms were okay but nothing specials. Empty hostels, not social at all

Pros: Edgar, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming! He went out of his way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible and we’re very grateful! He had tons of information on activities and restaurants in Baños. The room was large, comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were tasty! Thanks again Edgar! Jenny & Joe
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Edgar and Jenny saved us on this trip. We were sick and they went above and beyond to take care of us. As two single female travelers who didn’t speak the local language we felt safe and well cared for the entire time we were here! Truly a blessing to have them!
7.0 Good
Pros: The services provided by Edgar, the manager. He's gentle and helpful in every way.
Cons: The condition of the furniture and towels. The hotel needs update. But frankly, for the price it charges, I shouldn't complaint.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Edgar the owner was super super helpful and nice. He actually helped us with everything, the biggest thing was when our key for the rented car got locked inside the car, Edgar called the rentals company and solved everything in an hour. The spa is really nice with great jacuzzi and steam room. The dry sauna didn’t work temporarily when we were there. The room is nice. In short, worth every penny.
Cons: Location is a bit far from the town of Banos. Taxi to the center costs 1.5 US.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and top notch customer service, you won’t find another place where the owner will drive you himself to a nearby store at night.. Also, after our long day adventure in Banos, the staff genuinely greeted us happily upon our return. I hope to stay at this place again in the future.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was nice and the spa was nice. The guy working was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and the room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: The room was nothing special, I thought it was going to be nicer. I couldn’t sleep, dogs were barking the whole night. It was a little over priced for what it was.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Edgar and the staff were extremely welcoming and always helpful. The place is very quiet which was what we were looking for. They have a small SPA place, it's not too big but enough. I recommend this place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner went way above and beyond to make us feel welcome. After he found out it was my wife birthday we came back to our room after an outing and our door was decorated with balloons. We forgot our water shoes on one of our outings and he mailed them to our room in Quito. Breakfast was great and was the service. Room was large and clean.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked Edgar. He is very polite and sensitive to your needs. The breakfast is great! The staff is more than great! The beds are comfy and nice hot shower in the morning completes overall satisfaction of this hotel.
Cons: Nothing. really everything was just awesome! I cannot complain about anything.

Pros: Julio and Blanca are wonderful host. They made us feel at home. They went above and beyond with providing us with lunch to go, laundry and an outstanding breakfast. Their homemade fruit juice was delicious. Great location close to town and quiet. No
Cons: Nothing. Julio and Blanca were fantastic.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was nice and the view was beautiful, surrounded by mountains. It was very chill and quiet, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I was able to have late check out since I took the night bus. It's not really a place where you meet other people, but perfect for relaxing and calm time. As it's little out side of town (only 10 minute walk) you don't get the noises from the bars, and you feel like you are in the nature.
Cons: The room had a bit stuffy smell, but opening the window helped. The wifi was not very strong.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Overlooking quiet garden
Cons: Property was overrun with dogs.Little English was spoken.Walk into town is partly on busy road with no footpath.Steep hill on way back.Room very basic although we did have one hanger for all our clothes.Bathroom damp and cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hostal is a great value. Breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, the grounds are very pretty, and it is much quieter than staying in the town. The walk from town isn't bad and it's worth it to have a good night's sleep. But best of all is the owner! He was extremely friendly (despite our language barrier) and helpful. We stored our bags there the day we checked out, and when we came back to get them he called a taxi for us and helped us load our bags. They also have laundry service which is really helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was amazing! The staff members were so lovely and always willing to help. The rooms were very clean and comfortable!
Cons: The hostel is a little outside of town so be prepared to either walk 20mins to town or take a taxi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: IntiLuna had a very good breakfast, a big beautiful yard with lots of flowers, the hosts were very friendly and helpful, the Salada thermal bath was just up the hill from IntiLuna and it was only a short taxi ride to town. we wouls certainly stay ther again and also reccommend it to friends.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is a bit away from the main town and for that reason it is very quiet .Also it's very close to the less busy public bath called Salada.
Cons: Not enough water pressure or hot water.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Everything was great! Only the plumbing in room 32 needs attention. Beautiful, quiet place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I fell in love with the place , quiet, comfortable, clean, super friendly staff, and the price can't beat it. And when I opened my door and saw the mountains!!! Fantastic.

Pros: The personable owner was pleasant to deal with and a key to the gate made it easy to come and go. The breakfast was nice.
Cons: Rooms were rather plain, one of the beds did not have sheets - just a beadspread, not enough towels for two people. A ceiling fan would have with stuffiness on warmer nights.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, friendly hosts, comfortable and quiet room
4.3 Okay
Pros: Very quiet outside and nice property . A lot of space
Cons: Guess upstairs cause some noice , breakfast with a schedule a little tight between 8:30 am 9 am needs to be more flexible if it is possible. Housekeeping needs to improve , arrived to room and keys from manager were @ door.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Quiet location, just outside town (10 min walking-distance). Great breakfast. Very clean & nice bathroom.
Cons: Am not used to the fact that in Ecuador the prices quoted by Booking.com are net of service fees & taxes. In the case of Higueron 22% are added as taxes & service fees.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We really liked this accommodation !! Rosita and Willy went out of their way to provide me a good breakfast (I have food allergies) - homemade jam was wonderful!Breakfast room was lovely. Bedroom and bathroom were larger than most we've stayed in. Loads of hot water. We could hang our washing out on the line in the garden. Rosita and Willy are so friendly and welcoming, they went out of their way to help us.
Cons: Cash payment only, credit/debit cards not accepted. 10 minutes walk from the centre of Banos. (Only US$1.25 taxi fare to centre if you're feeling lazy!!). However, this is not really a negative as the location means that it is very peaceful and you could hear the birds in the morning. You would not find this in the centre.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens, comfortable bed, hosts were very helpful. Nice bathroom. Great breakfast, the homemade blackberry jam is super! Very close to downtown but not too close so mostly quiet (a number of barking dogs but that is pretty much the norm in Ecuador.)
Cons: Wifi in the room is poor, if you want better service you'll want to go tothe main house. No heat of any kind so if you're coming from a warmer area you'll be cold but its not bad unless Banos is having colder weather.
