Pros: The room was beautiful and clean, and breakfast was excellent! The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. The ocean is just across the street and we got to see the sun rise over the ocean. Overall, we had a great time!

Pros: It was in an awesome area with a beautiful view. The place is very clean & well managed . The staff is very friendly & helpful. Would stay again if price was compatible
Cons: The price was ridiculous. You should of had a freshly cooked breakfast for that price . vending machine out in weather .

Pros: Warm, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Young waiter went out of his way to make certain my wife got what she requested. Beautiful, quiet ocean view room, nicely appointed. Would have liked a room with a tub, but I didn't ask when I made the reservation.
Cons: Could only stay one night as a convention was coming in the next day. Now that I know what the hotel is all about, I'll make my plans earlier.
Pros: The friendly staff, clean rooms, atmosphere, free valet,

Pros: The location and parking was amazing. Watched lobster boats check their traps from our room. Shopping and restaurants all right there - an easy walk. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Pros: Location was amazing, staff was also amazing. The rooms are basic and very clean. We had everything we needed. The views are stunning, would stay again for sure!
From our deck we watched the lobstermen pull in the lobster cages..seagulls galore.... quite peaceful. You will not need your vehicle, restaurants and little shops all within walking distance. Coffee & danish across the street. Fudge & candy shops near.. RELAXING
Pros: Awesome location... THE YOUNG WOMAN AT THE FRONT DESK EXTREMELY HELPFUL...
Cons: All was well
Pros: We loved the wonderful ocean side location and the special secluded feeling. The owner-manager was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make us feel 'at home' while there. It was so much nicer than the usual 'glass and brass' hotel. It was SUPER
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. We has two handicapped people and the manager arranged ground floor rooms for both. Everything was wonderful.
It is literally sitting on the rocky shore so you can hear the ocean. It is right in the village so you do not need to drive to get to the shops and eateries. Just a block or so from the iconic sea shanty.
Pros: This is the first time that I have stayed in a hotel that was actually what it said it was. The room shown on the website was the exact as the room we stayed in.Location Location location! The managers were excellent at suggesting nearby restaurants.
Pros: The location is excellent! Staff very friendly! View is awesome!!
Cons: Rooms are QUITE outdated!! But clean! Need updated rooms, leaky door was very windy weekend and could feel cold air under door!
Pros: The motel was recently bought & the young lady in the office is one of the owners, so nice! The place is old, the rooms are basic, but being updated. The location is swesome!!!!! Enjoy a cup of coffee right on the water, gorgeous.
Pros: Great location near the ocean, comfortable, parking at rear, quiet, good facilities to make tea and coffee and for breakfast.
Cons: Found the manger a little attentive - hovering - and the decor fussy and old-school. Small detail, would not bother me on a business trip but on a leisure trip it was not a relaxing experience because of this.
If you could have given it an ocean view it would have earned 11 out of 10 points, but because it cannot, the walking distance to town makes it a nearly perfect score!
Pros: It was charming. Well decorated, & plenty of space. Everything one is looking for in a comfortable stay away from home. The host and hostess went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly, and helpful with all sorts of ideas.
Pros: This place is awesome! It should be at least 4 stars, not 3.
Pros: The proximity to the waterfront, the delicious breakfast, and the hospitable staff. Hotel Employee went above and beyond to assure that we had a comfortable stay, and guided us to great excursions nearby.
Cons: Nothing to report
Free WiFi along with the wonderful free breakfast. The room was air conditioned and had a flat screen TV.
Pros: An antique filled bed and breakfast. Lovely setting on the water. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor pool. Fabulous made to order breakfast in a lovely sun room overlooking the sea. Close to Rockport center and a short drive to some great beaches.
Cons: It didn't bother us at all but people should be aware there is no elevator. This is an older historic home.
Pros: Great room, comfortable bed, good shower, plenty of hot water. Great view, great location, minutes from town.I couldn't find anything to complain about
Pros: A real surprise in all areas- nice room, beautiful view, excellent inn keeper and nice grounds. Close to the heart of Rockport and although a ride to town it was worth the short drive in exchange for the beautiful location.
Pros: the location, the wonderful king size bed with the oh-so-excellent linens and the PILLOWS! The bed was high enough to lie in bed and watch the sunrise over the ocean. Excellent breakfast. Tasteful holiday decorations!
Cons: The whirlpool tub stopper had a slow leak which minimized the 'spa' experience.
Pros: Ocean! Ocean! Ocean! Location was stellar. Pool was very nice. Front porch was inviting. live music at dinner was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: No. It was all good.
Pros: The view of the ocean was beautiful. The bar in the inn was good and the large porch for sitting was great. Staff were great. Food was presented differently than expected.
Cons: Inn has new owners and renovations don't appear to be finished yet as walls were bare and windows had no curtains. The bathroom had no towel racks or hooks. Need a better dinner menu.
Cons: When we were packing up to leave we noticed a pair of kid's socks, not ours! Must have been under bed covers! Makes one wonder...
- Pretty standard hotel
- Hot tub and pool were nice
- Staff were accommodating
- Rather quiet
- Breakfast is fine
- Location is nice
- It's not the nicest hotel you could ever go to, but it's quaint and does the job sufficiently well
- There are many families that come to this hotel, so if you're looking for anything different, this is not your place
Pros: We really liked the location of the hotel. It was convenient to walk into Rockport, and it was convenient to drive into Gloucester.
Cons: The staff was not helpful or apologetic. Our room was not clean when we got there (it looked ready, but then we found wrappers around the bed on the floor). Additionally, we were not able to use the water in our room for almost an entire day, because of plumbing work that was being done in the room next door. I asked to have a manager contact us, since he was not available when we were leaving, and he never called. Overall, very disappointing.
Pros: Great room, great price loved that all the rooms were pet friendly swimming pool was beautiful and breakfast was delicious my dtg and I would definately stay again
Pros: Beds were great. Price was great. Staff was perfect
Cons: The breakfast was just bad! At the hotel rate you would expect more
Pros: Very pleasant and accomodating staff.lovely location in Gloucester.easy access to everywhere on Cape Ann.clean.we will be back.

Pros: Owner and staff friendly, helpful, relaxed. Not fancy, but clean, well-run, top notch location. Dedicated parking provided. Laid back.
Pros: The location is terrific. The owner -- who has a lot on his plate during the summer months -- pays close attention to all the details, is accommodating and friendly. He will make adjustments wherever possible. Not a pretentious or especially fancy place, but everything is clean, up to date, and in good repair. Nice to be in an independently owned motel. AND it has parking.
Cons: For anyone (not me) used to the palatial bathrooms in some hotels, those at Eagle House are small, with the sink outside the bathroom proper. Somewhat utilitarian I guess, but just fine with us.
Pros: When asked, the staff made an excellent lunch recommendation. The Inn, proper, had a charming character.
Cons: Some towels had holes and stains. Bedspread had a stain. AC was insufficient for the room. Breakfast was limited and poorly monitored for needed food levels and clean tables.
This place was straight out of a horror movie. Our room had three doors leading into it with weak locks. There was a giant, dirty, worn painting above our bed threatening to either fall on us or release its evil spirits. The only staff member we saw was at the last minute when we were packing our suitcases in the car... and she's lucky she didn't ask us about our stay. I was traveling with my mom and she woke up in the night freaked out when she realized she had her back to the door. You felt like someone was going to murder you. The room was dirty and poorly-maintained. The 'water' views were of a marsh, which wasn't awful, but we also overlooked a highway with lights flashing in our windows all night and only thin white shades to pretend to block it out. There was no internet, no WiFi, and no costumer service. There were visible stains in the bathroom. Maybe they should rent it out to a production company for a scary movie. There is no way this is a 3 star hotel. We were incredibly disappointed. At best, this is a 1 star.
Pros: It was in Gloucester, MA. That's the only positive.
Cons: Since we arrived after their check in hours, we had to let ourselves in. The place has potential but is poorly maintained. It was dirty and downright creepy. Our king bed was made of two hard twin beds. There was no tv nor WiFi, as promised.

Pros: We upgraded our room to one of the turret rooms, and were very glad we'd done so - it was lovely. The staff was helpful in recommending nearby restaurants for dinner (theirs was closed).
Cons: The Wi-Fi connection was hit-or-miss in our room, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a big problem. Complimentary breakfast was continental; could have used a warm dish - even oatmeal would have been a nice addition.
