We went for a long weekend and took a taxi from the airport to the hotel in St Aubins, which cost about £7 and took ten minutes. The Liberty bus is also readily available every 20 minutes or so and cost £1.80 per person. You would have to walk a short way up a hill to get to the front door of the Hotel, about 120 meters. On our departure we decided to take the Airport bus nr 25 back to the Airport and it was no problem. Takes 20 minutes. The bus system on Jersey is excellent and regular and one hardly needs a car. Prices are £1.30 for short hops and £1.80 for longer trips. Buy on the bus or use a card for longer stays. The bus system will take you to all the main sights- just be careful that you check for return times on the timetable, especially in the late afternoons. Entrance fees are a bit hefty, but don't miss the War Tunnels. Our room was a double with a sea-view (nr 8) with a great view from the common balcony area, which has a smoking and non-smoking area. There is also a TV lounge available for general use. It is cool and quiet and has the strongest wifi reception. There is a small bar near the breakfast room, open from 5pm. There is however a small supermarket nearby where cold wines and beer can be purchased at very reasonable prices. We could leave our luggage in the lounge on our checkout, and were given a key to come and go before our flight departure later in the day. The Hotel is in a quiet place and a very good starting point for seeing everything on Jersey. All in all a good experience.
Pros: A great location, near to a number of excellent eating places, shops and bus stop. The hot breakfast was always very adequate and well-prepared. Jorge and Ralucca were extremely helpful and always ready with advice about the area. The Wifi was worked well.
Cons: Not really. Although the place was a bit dated, it had a certain charm and remains value for money.
