Pros: We truly enjoyed our stay at Château de Courtebotte. The owner, Isabelle, was extremely helpful in making bookings and suggestions for exploring the area. She is fantastic at cultivating an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and at home. Our first night, we had a delicious dinner at the Château, cooked by our host. It consisted of a butternut soup, followed by a duck confit with potatoes dauphinoise, a selection of cheeses, and a chocolate tart, all with a selection of wines from nearby winery, Château Bonhoste. We had the breakfast each morning, which was a lovely spread of cheese, meat, jams, croissants, baguettes, yogurt, granola, scrambled eggs, crepes, baked treats, juice, and coffee. The other visitors were great company at meal times and this added positively to our experience. We loved all the diversions offered at the Château. It has a fantastic pool, which can be heated, but the heating was not turned on during our stay (first week of October) so we did not use it. It also has a hot tub, which we did use. There is a great pool table and lots of board games. For kids, the pool is gated and there is a trampoline and playground. We stayed in the spacious room with a terrace. It had a very comfortable king bed and pillows. The shower has a rain fall shower head and excellent pressure.
Cons: Nothing that bothered us, but our curtains were dusty and there were several small dead bugs on the floor near the bathroom window. The bathroom radiator did not appear to be functional. The terrace had sort of a side view of the river, but the main view was onto the parking lot. There is a road between the hotel and the river which isn't frequently used, but you can hear cars a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb in every way, with outstanding help from the owner.
Cons: We love everything about Chateau Courtebotte
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Isabelle was charming, we were shown the house, facilities and rooms and then given a beer/wine once we had settled in etc. Isabelle arranged a taxi to Saint Emillion and booked us a table at a recommended restaurant - both were excellent. Breakfast was very good with a choice of food and drinks. A warm welcoming accommodation close to the river warranting a stay we would say of 2 days minimum to do it justice ,

Pros: Absolutely a superb place and the friendliest most amazing and hospitable property owners I've ever met on my travels. The breakfast is heavenly with fresh made specials every morning with home made Jams and fantastic mouth watering french toasts as well as the great high quality standard breakfast items. Isabelle (the host who is a great Sommelier) sent us a detailed message with all the amazing things and best wine tasting experiences that we can do in the region. She also was more than happy to help with any reservations and VIP tours to get the full on experience of the region.
Cons: Not a single thing

Pros: This is a really beautiful property and the owner Isabel is warm and extremely friendly and helpful. When we first arrived, she took time to show us around the property and provided us with welcome wine and snacks. Her breakfasts are all homemade and made fresh that morning - you can tell there was a lot of pride and attention in all the details. We had a really enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the St Emilion area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is one of the best B&Bs in France - in the world probably. For a lovely base in the Bordeaux region, you cannot do better. Isabelle is terrific; the breakfast s and guests are great. Isabelle knows the region and can advise you well on wine and food options- which is why yo are there, yes? Michellin starred restaurants (not that you need such thing to eat very well in France)and wine. The rooms done up even more impressively than the building. The grounds, nestled in a vineyard are great - in short... a relaxing awesome place.
Cons: nothing... there is absolutely not a single thing to dislike
