Cons: It was not possible to swich on Tv.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and modern, with a truly comfortable bed. Breakfast is delicious house made pastry, among other choices, and very good coffee. There’s plenty of parking. The grounds are beautiful. A bit of road noise, but not during sleeping hours - and how else would you get to a hotel if there were not a road nearby? Wifi seemed inconsistent although perhaps it was my VPN app. The true value in a stay here, though, is the warm and friendly owner, Franck. At a loss for what to do one afternoon? He can help. Where’s the best place to go running in the morning? He’s got a map and a plan. A recommendation for a great meal on Porquerolles? Sure, no problem - and the weather forecast and the ferry schedule appear by magic. If you want to go hiking he will equip you with a pack, a bottle of water, and bread for sandwiches. No way you get that level of service at Best Western Hyères. Strongly recommend a stay here if you want a base to explore the region in the hands of a professional.

Bed was comfortable, and our room also included a couch and comfortable chair. Nice A/C in room, good wi-if. Huge bathroom with much art...... you do have to sit in the tub to shower.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The visit to Saint Mandrier Sur Mer was made worthwhile by our two-night stay at Les Bruyeres. Christine, the charming host (and ably assisted by Honey, her loyal and faithful dog) made us feel at home from the moment we arrived with so many small, considerate touches. She is most thoughtful and obliging. We felt like we were at home. Our room was comfortable, breakfast was to die for, and she was attentive and responsive to any of our requests. A highlight of our six-week odyssey through Europe.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike about Les Bruyeres. Saint Mandrier Sur Mer is a fairly sleepy fishing village near Toulon (by comparison with other Mediterranean seaside settlements). In all honesty, the beaches are stony and not particularly comfortable and the restaurants stop cooking around 8.30 p.m. / 9.00 p.m. so it can be hard to find a meal at what many would regard as a normal time to be going out to dinner.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Awesome view, in a very neat and quiet neighbourhood with a southern France charme. Friendly and supportive host and lovely homemade Breakfast.
Cons: The room is a bit small. And if there is no wind it gets uncomfortably hot in the summer months.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a marvellous place to stay. The landlady couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly, the room and facilities were splendid, the breakfast sumptuous and the view over the sea unforgettable. We cannot recommend it too highly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We rate the cleanliness, breakfast, kindness-interest-willingness to help-knowledge about the village and region of the owner. Additionally, we liked very much that we could use the terrace, deckchairs and garden. Beautiful sea view, close to the beach.
Cons: None!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The house was wonderful and she served a fantastic home made breakfast. We really enjoyed our visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very excited with the location, room, services and hospitality of the owner of Les Bruyeres hotel. Christine was very kind, polite and nicely communicable. We want to specially value her breakfast! It was perfect. All the time we felt like we were home. Several comments about location: St.-Mandrier-ser-Mer is quite place without many tourists. It is very nice with a lot of flowers and plants. There are two small pebbel beaches in about 300-500 meters distance, one is lonely and wild with many rocks in the sea interesting for snorkeling and two a bit more occupied sand beaches in about 1 km distance near the boat/yachts port. The place is recommended for those who like walking. There are narrow roads for tourists via exotic hills with fantastic views to the sea and sorounds from top. Those who wants more can easily reach Toulon (ferry shuttle is going every 30 min) with more interesting places to see and bigger sandy beaches. 10 trips’ card on ferry (Toulon-St.Mandrier) cost is just 10 euro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was lovely, breakfast was amazing.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is very nice and feels homey. The pool area is beautiful and breakfast is really good.
Cons: The couple that runs the B&B are nice but a little bit too much on top of us. It felt a little like they treated us like their kids, telling us where to sit and running after us with sheets to cover their chairs before we were allowed to sit down. They mean well and we're really nice but at some point it felt like we were invading their home.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything. Great room, very clean, nice pool with a massive variety of very comfortable seatings and loungers, WiFi was good...
Cons: the way the breakfast was set up was a bit over the top for me. Everybody sits at the same great table. Hardly any privacy for people who prefer to be on their own in the morning.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome, and the staff was really pleasant. The design was pretty interesting. Great balcony. Very close to the beach (but we didn't really go because our stay was too short). The dinner was also good, with excellent oysters, among other things.
Cons: I didn't like the way the bathrooms were. I know it's stylish, but not having ceilings over the dividing walls of the toilet and shower is not something I like. Not a big deal though.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to beach Good breakfast
Cons: Very average bathroom and room was probably over priced
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was amazing despite the size: for one night is ok but for longer staying I wouldn't recommend it - at least in the room where we were.
Cons: The bathroom very small and the washbowl was so small that it was pretty difficult even to wash the teeth.
4.3 Okay
Pros: breakfast very good! dinner excellent, good chef!!
Cons: Asked for a table for 2 for dinner. Response: not possible, too full. Arrived 1st in the dining room. Table for 2? Sorry, all reserved. Shower in room 7 leaks water all over the floor! No elevator.

Cons: Toilet and shower were built into the room in a relatively primitive way, which did not give you much privacy.

Cons: Lack of Closet in the room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, very close to the sea, breakfast is superb, nice staff, sparkling clean, rooftop unique

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, great location, everything you want and more.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the location and our balcony with a view over the boat basin and bay. It was an interesting artistic themed hotel with parking right outside the hotel. A selection of restaurants and bakery are a short walk away and the beach is right there.
Cons: The room configuration was a little odd; shower and toilet fixtures were on opposite sides of the room. The hotel location was perfect for us because we wanted to explore the region, but it is only driving distance to the town. No elevator might be a problem for those who prefer an elevator. The hotel served a lovely meal - one of our best.
Lido Beach - Hyères - Bedroom
12
8.8 Excellent (215 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This comfortable hotel is located in Hyeres. There are a total of 18 accommodation units at Lido Beach. No pets are allowed on the premises.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A very informal and relaxing place to stay right on the beach. Great balcony, wonderful restaurant. Free parking just outside the hotel. Shabby chic in the best sense of the word. Could have stayed there for weeks.
Cons: Nothing really.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Laid back (a bit bohemian in character) hotel right on the beach. Comfortable to go from beach to beach chair area to restaurant and through lobby and common area to rooms in swim suits. Yet still had an elegance. Restaurant was good with tables right on the beach as well and were able to accommodate our late arrival. Plenty of beach chairs, wide shallow beach perfect for all water activities and for children. Stand up paddle boards available. It was hot during our stay, but with the fans operating all day with windows open and curtains drawn closed, rooms were manageable for sleeping, but definitely on warm side. Easy walking distance to harbor area with many restaurants and cafes.
Cons: Could use more umbrellas for the beach chairs to go around. One in our group had the room with external private bathroom. Because of the need to lock room and bathroom, coming and going , that was a bit inconvenient. But, overall, this room and the other standard rooms were a good bargain for being right on the beach. Internet also not working well here. This was a common complaint for the small boutique hotels we chose throughout our trip to France.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bohemian style. The location to the sea and Porquerolles. The homely feel of being in someone’s beach house. The relaxed vibe and atmosphere. The view; you’re right on the water edge. The food was exceptional.
Cons: It was expensive for a 2 star hotel. Is a bit far away from other amenities.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very welcoming and helped us throughout. Food was good.
Cons: Really difficult to park ones car. The hotel says it has 12 parking spaces but, sorry to say, that is not the case! Had to park about 500 m away and wait for a space to become available which it did. It was the weekend in June and during the week things should be quieter.

Pros: Friendly staff and right on the beach
Cons: Nothing it was great
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: Very low value for money. I am writing this review from a 4 stars hotel in Menorca. My large room with amazing sea view and great breakfast is cheaper here than the very basic room with no view I got in Hyeres!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location and friendly staff. Apartment was clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen.
Cons: Space in the apartment was pretty tight for a family of six. We had to clear up dog's mess from the terrace area outside our apartment on a number of occasions.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice beach and the hotel was just in front of the beach. Nice staff.
Cons: No AC. A fan.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very nice. The location was close to the beach.
Cons: We needed some aircondition, the fan was not enough, the room was very hot. The room needed to be cleaned better. The doors and the cabinet needed to be washed, it was sticky to touch it. We did not have much space to put our luggage.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Laid back, view from on to lovely courtyard and close to beach for swimming
Cons: Size of room and shower did not drain well
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location for a peaceful holiday. A car is essential unless you just want to arrive by public transport and do little else other than go to the beach. Basic and clean, with fantastic sea views. Good value. Nice beach straight across the quiet road which is not busy. Lovely and clean with clear waters. The marina area has plenty of restaurants which is about a 10 minute easy walk. The people running the apartments were very pleasant although conversation was difficult as they speak little or no English but we managed to communicate ok. The area feels very safe. Overall recommended.
Cons: First impression was that the apartment was a bit too basic and a little tired, however once past the initial impression it was fine and clean. Everything required was available in the apartment, although perhaps some new equipment and utensils would be nice to see. There was a dodgy looking stain on a blanket which I wasn't very happy about, although it may well have been nothing - but even so the owners would have been better to discard the blanket. I could have been unlucky, but I got about 35 mosquito bites, which were really bad and itchy. However it could have been our fault for one night (it was very warm) for leaving a small hopper window slightly open, with the toilet light staying on over night. From then on it seemed we were discovering loads new bites every day. Not the fault of the apartment of course, but beware as these little insects drive you mad with the itching.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: My room, was next to the kitchen, noisy and very dark
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and price. Room was very small
Cons: Larger room and bathroom
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of this (relatively basic) hotel on the Îles de Porquerolles is perfect. Right beside the square and just a couple of mins from the harbour.
Cons: Our room was a little dark. Lighting needs improving. No big deal.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved Caroline and everyone else at the hotel and restaurant. Caroline was very helpful prior to my arrival, answering questions about my travel from Aix-en-Provence, and she was a warm hostess during my stay. I enjoyed a couple of nice, very reasonable meals in the restaurant. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and loved the automatic darkening shade on the skylight. I would love to come back to the island and if I did, I would absolutely stay here.
Cons: The WiFi sig al was not that strong in the bedroom but I may be one of the few who works much when you travel here.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Small but adequate space with shower room and closet space. The owner/manager was super friendly and greeted me every morning by name. In a very central location but quiet at night so no problem sleeping. Excellent free wifi.
Cons: Although the quality of breakfast was excellent; as is typical in France, there was little choice - only bread and viennoiseries. No option of cereal or fruit etc. Perhaps if you ask they can provide something else (I didn't).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant food was amazing and well presented, Loved it! Would go back again for sure! Amazing experience, the people are very friendly, always ready to help out! Island itself was breathtaking!!!

Pros: Lovely staff, perfect location, bed was very comfortable and there was no tv in the room :)

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The closeness to the sea, an idyllic location
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and the bathroom was a good size . The actual place down stairs is dated and needs lots of repair , The kitchen area looked dirty and unkept and to be honest we declined breakfast because we wanted to go somewhere clean . The view from the room standing up was lovely but once you sat in the chair on the terrace all you saw was the roof and dead plants so it was a bit sad . It’s badically a room in someone’s house with very confused lines of what is space for the guests and the owners The lady who met us was fine and friendly
Cons: The.mess down stairs
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and accommodating! The property was on the water. View was spectacular!
Cons: The stairs going to the apartment very very steep. The hosts helped carry our bags but would be very easy to fall.
4.3 Okay
Cons: Whole place under renovation. Rooms not clean. Breakfast was not included as mentioned.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: nothing
Cons: we would like to make a claim as the property was not at all the expected studio with sea view terrace but a very dirty mouldy place garage reconverted in a studio . the place was smelly , the coultery and plates were stinky it was awful. even the pepper and salt in the cupboard were out of date ! i will never book again with booking that is for sure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view next to the sea. Very nice ans friendly people.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great apt with amazing garden
Cons: Just one night: too short to be reliable
6.8 Good
Pros: The owners were lovely but the property was not on the beach as we expected from the photos . The photos were 0.9km from the property . We had to walk this pulling our suitcases as we didn't come by car . No good if you don't speak French . Restaurant food was awful and very expensive with no where else to buy food anywhere near by . The owners were charming and gave us a lift to the ferry the next morning .

7.0 Good
Pros: The managers were very friendly. The location was very handy for the beach and also a little shop and Pizzeria just next door. There was WiFi, the most important feature if you travel with teenagers. The room was sunny and the walls looked relatively recently painted, with nice curtains and bedspread. There was a functioning electric wall heater, which we appreciated in the evenings and at night. The shower was good. There is a bus stop close by, and a bus to Hyeres at roughly every hour.
Cons: The kitchenette was extremely compact (which I expected) and very dated. The two plate hob did not work, but was replaced within a day by the manager. The crockery and cutlery was a bit of an odd mix. The only cups available were tiny Espresso ones for example. Our room had a toaster, while our friends' room had a kettle, but neither of us had both. Everything looked a little dirty and dusty, the floor had not been swept and the shower curtain was definitely in need of a replacement. There was no handsoap, sponge, cloths, kitchen foil, salt, pepper or any of the other disposable items you tend to find in self-catering accommodation elsewhere.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view, proximity to the beach, the nearby pizza place - the best pizza, very friendly pizzaiolo and the pizza place owner; the nature and the birds, beaches, La Route du Sel - very pleasant, aproppriate for long walks; very friendly staff and neighboring shopkeeper ...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice studio, well equiped for families. Very nice and available hosts! The area is very pleasant, with a small grossery store selling the essentials and fresh bread, croissants and fruit. A couple of restaurants in a two steps distance. The beach is very nice, very close (a few meters), easy parking. The location allowed us to visit dream like beaches in a short ride every day!
Cons: The studio is a bit hot. Although there is no a/c, a fan is available.

Pros: Excellent location. Room was very clean, bright, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the sea. Very impressed with the cleanliness and how comfortable the bed was. It's also an eco friendly hotel, which we appreciated. Staff is very accommodating, knowledgeable, helpful and available. Will definitely be staying here if we're ever in Hyeres again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very nice helpful and welcoming. Our room was cosy, ideal as we were enroute to Avignon. The decor was wonderful from a reception desk created from Books ,furniture from recovered wood etc, why spoil it for you. In my opinion the best beach in the south of France. Best wishes to all at the Hotel Almanarre plage
Cons: Nothing
4.5 Okay
Pros: The view, cleanliness
Cons: Certainly not the cooking of fish from the downstairs kitchen which permeated the whole building. The top price in winter at 96 euro, no breakfast no shower caps, no hair dryer, super busy highway at front , plus an airport traffic on top of us! We asked for ideas to eat dinner, absolutely none, couldn’t recommend and said not sure what was open. Finally drove back to the city centre Hyeres and found an Irish Pub with reasonable food to satisfy....nothing great but better than starving. This hotel was certainly not worth the price and would not recommend! The rooms are super tiny, our friends could hardly get around the bed, ours was the top floor, ( no lift) and small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I'm happy good value, close to everything I need the nice beaches, shopping and thai restaurants near the hotel was great it wonderful time for my family I'll be back again!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean, the view from the room was excellent and onsite parking is free as well. Overall the stay was very pleasant
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. Also the hotel has rentals for every kind of water sports as well as cycles. They were really helpful with the ferry to the island as well and the tickets were cheaper at the hotel.
Cons: There was no kettle in the room. No plug points in the room except one in an inconvenient spot. The breakfast was really underwhelming.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well renovated , clean, good people
9.3 Excellent
Pros: AC and WIFI works perfectly. Far from the crowd but close to the main attractions.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view was great and the staff were friendly. The room was clean.
Cons: The room was acceptable if your single. The room was so small there was not enough room to open a bag. You could barely open the door to the balcony because there was not enough room. The bathroom was small as well.

Pros: Outstanding hosts, excellent location and great rooms. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat! Thank you!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Local style. Comfortable - although slightly basic.
Cons: Breakfast location in the garden good - but food too basic could have had a little more choice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Nice garden.
Cons: Towels and bedding could be improved. Bed was a little uncomfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The friendly owners look after their guests very well. They provide a communal fridge and sell bottled water and soft drinks at reasonable prices for their guests convenience. The breakfast courtyard is charming and the rooms with terrace very pleasant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely quiet garden, ‘honesty’ bar set up for drinks which was welcome, fans in room. The hotel isn’t super modern in its decoration but it had a great deal of original French charm which we loved. The owners were very friendly and helpful, Excellent location for visiting Villa de Noailles the main purpose of our trip.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff and their service were excellent. The breakfast was the best I have had in France.
Cons: The rooms and bathroom were tiny. And the stairs very awkward
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, near the old area of the city centre. Just 5 min walking. The staff was great, super good breakfast. Hotel clean, great value for money.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The garden was a sweet and nice place to sit and relax in the evening. The woman that fixed breakfast and checked me out seemed very nice.
Cons: I opted for Hyeres to spend a couple of hours by the sea, curious about the Hyere beaches. I should have researched the hotel and area more, and was chocked to find that Hotel Oreangiers was far from the sea. No buses going to the sea-side part in the evening and no bike rentals. I asked around ... So, the stay was a huge disappointment to me and I regret that I chose Hyeres at all. This hotel is best for people with car or bikers or people that enjoy walking around in old-town kind of alleys. I felt stuck and it seemed like everthing was closing atound 19. This is not hotel Orangier's fault, but maybe good to know for other solo Interrailers, like me. It was a good 20 minutes walk each way from the train station and nothing to do around the station. The toilets at the station were also cliosed. My room had a barred window facing a dirty backyard with dog poop and two big dogs that barked and jumped every time I touched the window. They were perhaps just curios and wanted to play but it was quite disturbing. Bed and bathroom was ok and clean, but it did not feel cared for, as in other places with the same price range. Breakfast was nice to have in the patio, it was ordinary, but with plenty of bread and butter, bakeoff criossants, ordinary juice, packed yoghurt a good size can of hot, nice coffee with milk and a delicious orange marmalade that tasted as if it was home made. I got a couple of large mosqito bites as a souvenir, I kept the window open. The room was very hot and had no air condition . There was a fan.
