Pros: The hotel is very funky and fun. There is a built in restaurant, cafe and pastry shop, 2 bars, and they provide a free shuttle to and from local nightlife. the room was nice. Nothing fancy but everything was clean and it smelled amazing. My wife and I decided to remodel our house using some of the unique stylings from the hotel. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. They have an all you can eat buffet for breakfast with all the standard fare but also a custom omelette bar and a Bloody Mary bar. I would highly recommend if you aren’t looking for fancy and want your hotel stay to be as fun as your vacation.

Pros: I loved this hotel. It has the vibe of a bed and breakfast. The building is historic but has been beautifully decorated and remodeled. The staff was very nice and helpful. We took their shuttle to our venue and when we ready to be picked up they were there in minutes to give us a ride back. The room and bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small, but goes in line with the historic feel of the place. I would definitely stay hear again.

Cons: I wasn't a fan of their not being room service. It's not a deal breaker by any means but I would have preferred not to have to go down stairs and place an order, wait for it and then bring it upstairs. Otherwise, no other complaints.

Pros: The location is close to restaurants, bars, museum, and colleges. Unfortunately that attracts groups of people that are there to party and stay up all night.
Cons: After we discovered that our neighbors brought their own stereo with sub-woofer and invited all their friends to hang out in their room, we tried to move rooms. We were not moved and had to call the front desk more than 20 times over the next couple of hours to try and resolve this issue. No luck. The front desk was completely incapable of resolving this issue. I guess 20 year old college students that work at the hotel aren't capable of controlling the behavior of their guests. if you're lucky enough to have quiet neighbors, the hotel is alright. If not, then be prepared for a long night.

Cons: It's no the fault of the facility - truly. You have to resign yourself to the fact that you are in a popular area - and there is a rooftop bar (The Canopy) at the hotel. The operations surrounding the place can get loud early - but nothing some music or TV can't drown out. If you're having the fun you should be - it won't be an issue.

Pros: The room was quite spacious and amazing: we had a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, a small, glass-top stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The TV was set up to swivel around to the living room-type area or to be viewed from the king size bed (which was unfathomably comfortable). The water in the shower stayed a constant temperature the entire time, which is always nice.
We're pretty sure we had a wheelchair-accessible room, so that may account for some of the roominess (as well as the hand rails in the bathroom).

Pros: The room was quite spacious and amazing: we had a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator, a small, glass-top stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The TV was set up to swivel around to the living room-type area or to be viewed from the king size bed (which was unfathomably comfortable). The water in the shower stayed a constant temperature the entire time, which is always nice.
We're pretty sure we had a wheelchair-accessible room, so that may account for some of the roominess (as well as the hand rails in the bathroom).

Cons: Our phone rang at 1:30 AM or so the first night, and no one at reception seemed to know why the next morning. Also, the hotel is U-shaped, and our room was on the far side of the U from reception (minor inconvenience, though).
Other than those two minor things, there really isn't much to complain about. I may book a block of rooms here for guests for my wedding.

Also, we had to pay extra for everything - parking was $16 a night , and for the price of a room it would have been nice to have some form of complimentary breakfast. I guess the more you pay, the more you have to pay. They made a big point of letting us know that the ice was complimentary, which made me laugh because where in this country is it not?

Cons: When it stormed I had to park in a bank parking lot around the corner which made it for a very undesirable walk. When I pulled into the bank parking lot the attendant refused to let me park stating he had no idea what I was talking about.
2nd issue. The first front desk woman that checked us in was amazing. So helpful and nice! You could tell she really enjoys her job. The front desk girl who checked us out was horrible. She checked us out on Sunday August 31st. I asked the lady a couple questions about the area and she couldn't answer anything and appeared to not wanted to be bothered. I understand you have a concierge but he wasn't available. Please educate your guests a little about the area. Like recommendation on a nice restaurant.
3rd issue. The room was huge but I stepped in something that was very slimy. It appeared to be maple syrup which was all over the floor.

Cons: The elevators were really sketchy. One was really old and creaky. My boyfriend got stuck in the other one for 20 minutes with sporadic electricity and physical jolting. When he finally made it off, he went to the front desk. They only gave him a neutral statement a la "glad you made it off." No apology, no indication that it would get fixed. He said they didn't even seem surprised by the incident.

Pros: I liked the front desk staff. They are all very nice and helpful. They gave me great restaurant advice, helped with my various questions and were polite. I loved the old Spanish style look and feel of the place. And you can’t beat that location!

Cons: The entire stay. Mattress are old, you can litterally bruss you teeth while in the shower at the sink. The smell of drugs are persistent in the halls and elevator. No outlets to plugs Conveniently available to plug in the fridge and microwave in the room. Last the microwave was broke, water damage and cracks in the ceiling.

Cons: Parking not convenient. My room was above the restaurant so I could hear the customers outside on the patio. Thankfully it was a Monday night, so the noise died down early.

Cons: WIFI doesn't work for more than 5 mins at a time and drops for 30 mins then back up. Pretty annoying if you are trying to take care of some work. Rooms are small, old and somewhat dirty. The window AC unit was so loud I had to turn it off to sleep.
No coffee or breakfast provided. Starbucks is 2 blocks. Stayed two nights, somehow my reservation got messed up and they made me move to a different room they said was less expensive. Other than a different floor they were about the same.

Cons: First impression was the musty/moldy smell of the building. Then there was the 18" TV. This is the same size as my office computer monitor and smaller than the monitor for the receptionist. The cable wire itself was just hanging across the room, not mounted, not trying to be disguised in any way. Wrong remote for the TV so you couldn't access the guide, sleep timer or screen size. Had to watch NBA playoff game where it looked like this "CAVS 68 BOS" because Boston's score was cut off from the TV being stuck in zoom mode. Turned the hot water on for 10 minutes and finally got in. Used 0 cold water and it was still basically a cold shower. Front desk said I probably just needed to play around with the hot water handle a little more. That doesn't explain no hot water in the sink either.

Cons: The elevator in the hotel was out of service during my stay, carrying luggage up 4 flights of steep stairs wasn't pleasant. Elevator in the parking garage is also out of service...so again carrying luggage up and down.

Cons: The rooms were dirty, the bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom door was glass that you can see through, no amenities, warm water only in the shower not hot. Linens on the bed were stained.

Cons: For starters the staff had clear issues on the basic checkin and check out process. Luckily my room was ready in time however many other guests were asked to wait. Upon getting the room it was adequate for our one night stay smaller than described in pictures but big enough for two all the same. However I requested and lid for a late check out as I was competing in a triathlon the following day. I paid the $25 and upon waking up the next morning to shower discovered the shower didn’t work and mentioned it on our way out at 5:45 am by noon when i returned nothing had been done so I packed my wife and i’s things and left. They showed no sign of care that shower didn’t work at all and gave an attitude about refunding the $25 for the late check out fee since I wouldn’t be using it so I could shower after my race. Long story short staff was awful and the facilities were sub par... two stars

Cons: I wished my room was bit cleaner. Dust bunnies, cob webs, filthy windows. It needs a deep cleaning and probably a new bed. The interior felt very worn down and neglected, unfortunately.

Cons: Had to park in a parking garage away from the hotel which I know can’t be fixed. It’s an old hotel but they could have done better at restoring it. I could hear people talking on the street and I was on the six floor. Worried elevator would break down. Bed was very uncomfortable.
