It was so clean!! New mattress. Clean, soft sheets. Plenty of pillows. Bathroom area was large enough for woman with lots if make up and hair stuff. Hot water forever. Nice new tv. Great free breakfast with really good French toast. Just families and couples so there was no drama at all. Very very safe. For around $100. A night for a Kung bed I was very impressed and I tried most of the hotels around salinas- the safe ones at least- and this was by far the best!!
The manager was rude and snotty. All the other staff was very nice but she had a attitude that ruined a perfect environment. Too bad.
It was a clean, no frills kind of place. I traveled in September and the rate was $113/night which was a bit high but of better quality than lower cost places. It is very close to freeway access without being close to the freeway noise. The mattress and pillows were clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean, and the selection decent. The staff were consistently very friendly and helpful.
The television was a bit outdated (30" CRT) and the picture was a little dark. I moved from a two queen bed room, which apparently wasn't used much and worth the rate, to a single queen room which was clearly used more and not so much worth the rate. The coffee in the breakfast area was terrible. Only on the last day, when I decided not to have the room maid service, did the front desk complain to me about this. Not sure why, as the room had been serviced the day before, and the maid was very friendly about it when I told her.
This place was great. Close to freeway and lots of close restaurants and stores. Very clean. Staff was nice. Good selection for the free breakfast. Pool/hot tub were very relaxing. I would def stay again.
Clean and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast and well-stocked. Enjoyed our stay!
good bed, quiet, about the same price as other hotels in the vicinity.
tourist season high prices, but goes with the territory
The Laurel Inn was a basic, clean, and good value motel. We booked this over the Memorial Day weekend and most hotels and motels in the area were "no vacancy" so The Laurel Inn was about the best value for the money available. The only suggestion I have is that the room for the included continental breakfast was too small for the number of rooms at the motel.
It was a clean, no frills kind of place. We travelled in March and the rate was $72/night which was comparable with places of much lower quality. It is very close to freeway access without being close to the freeway noise. The mattress and pillows were clean and comfortable.
The television was a bit outdated (30" CRT) and the picture was a little dark. The shampoo provided was cheap, but we didn't stay there for the shampoo.
The check in staff was very friendly, we have stayed before and they welcomed us back! The continental breakfast was well stocked and managed by a very friendly staff member who made sure everything was cleaned and taken care of. Although we did not swim or use the spa it was very clean and it was nice to see the spa being drained and cleaned
We have stayed in king rooms before but this was the first time we stayed in a queen- the mattress was super hard. I needed to put a blanket under me for some comfort. The shower head was terrible- never understand why such a simple replacement is always an issue in hotels! The outlets next to the bed do not hold I phone chargers, they just fall out. Phone was dead in AM
Clean place with a Black Bear Diner on premises
The mattresses in the hotel might be the original. Very cheap. Still some updating to be considered a go to place.
The room was clean. I only used the a/c it was effective. All in all it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast was a cut above other hotels in that price range.
The TV is hooked up to the dish network and required a lot of fiddling with. Not something one wants to do after a hard day.
