Pros: Beautiful surrounding
Cons: Need some updating of the room and I suggest a airco
Pros: The relaxing ambiance, the local breakfast was delicious, scenic views, friendly staff, quiet atmosphere and no mosquitos.
Cons: During the hours of 11am-4pm it's a little hot in the cottages and the beach isn't bathing friendly.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Good, tasty meals. Comfortable accommodation. Perfect location for turtle watching.
Cons: If the accommodation was air conditioned it would be fantastic.
Cons: The road is really bad
Pros: Always love the quiet and peacefulness. Staff are wonderful. One of our favourite getaways to just relax for a couple of days.
Pros: Breakfast was great, views/scenery excellent
Cons: Dinner could of been better
Pros: The cleanliness and tranquility of the environment. The privacy and intimacy. The canopy of trees over the cabins that make it cool and relaxing . The friendly service. The view to the river and ocean from the cabin. The deck in the cabin.
Pros: Location looking out over river and sea is spectacular. Close to rainforest walks and waterfalls. Amazing diversity of bird species and great guides. Very friendly villagers. Relaxing nighttime jungle noises. Food was good.
Cons: They didn’t have some of the food items on the menu and some of the staff seemed a little unhappy/listless (though most were great). Coffee wasn’t so good. The resort could do more planning for when it’s not turtle season to keep the place full and guests occupied.
Pros: All of the meals were wonderful and you could tweak your order from the menu without additional charges. The staff made you feel very comfortable....almost like you were at home. The purpose of the visit was a romantic getaway with turtle watching as the main activity.
Cons: Microwave needed in the room and a slightly larger refrigerator. A young lady came to the resort while we were having breakfast and tried to solicit a spa like massage. This should only be done through the hotel and it made for an uncomfortable period of time as it was going to be expensive and not really wanted at the time.

Pros: Found lots of birds walking the road. People were very friendly! Great location. Good food.
Pros: Wonderful setting and very attentive host...it was like staying with family.
Cons: They cancelled our reservation months after we made it, because they wanted to go to a family Christmas celebration on Barbados. This left us with a severe problem.
Pros: Great attention to detail, attentiveness and communication. Great food and breakfast
Pros: Nella and Nelville were awesome hosts had a lot of good conversations with them throughout the stay and they helped us to find a nice walk to the Mermaid Pools. Room was nice and well kept.
Cons: No complaints besides it could be a bit cheaper
Pros: Nev and Nella are fantastic people who go out their way to make your stay memorable. The house itself is fantastic with beautiful gardens full of humming birds. The room is spacious, clean and very comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the garden. The food is exceptional! Nella is a fantastic cook and the local dishes are fabulous. We were driven around the island by them both and they could not have been more welcoming or helpful.
Cons: The house is located to the North East of the island and some of the trips are over an hour away. I'd recommend that visitors do two days around the southern / Port of Spain area and two days in the Northern areas (staying at this location) This will reduce the amount of travel required
Pros: Nella and Neville add a new meaning to the word 'hospitable' - such warm and gracious hosts, and add a super-friendly kitty and a lovely doggy (with day-old puppies when I was there) and it's really a little piece of paradise! Delicious vegetarian dinner too - Nella is a superb cook.
When you stay at Le Grand Almandier in Grande Riviere, you'll be on the beach and steps from Windward Islands. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Liked everything. Nice hotel and room, hot shower, friendly staff, good restaurant and food selection. The property is right on the beech. Would stay there again without any hesitation.
Pros: I chose this hotel as it was one of the few affordable 'beachside' hotels on the island. It is a bit of a trek to get to it (preferably by rental car), but once you've arrived it's worth the slog. The beach is long, sandy and quiet, with only two other hotels on it. I stayed just before the 'Turtle Season' started, so maybe it gets busy then, but if you're looking for a secluded beach scene, without the crowds, I'd recommend this place highly.
Cons: The road around the coast is scenic but also needs driver attention, as the potholes and landslides can be challenging. Two wheel drive is fine.
Pros: The best host ever :) so nice and friendly and welcoming, we had a good time and laugh with the hotel persons :) also incredible delicious food
Pros: the staff was nice..
Cons: the price of the food could have been better..it was too much the cost of the food is the same cost for a one night stay..i paid $723.00. for three plate of food that could have been alot more cheaper..because it wasn't even worth..the price for what I got..one slice of grill fish with five carrot stick and 6oz of rice for 200.00tt. so three plate 600.00 and two water and some fries..plus 80.00 service charge
Pros: the breakfast was delicious ..great location for turtle watching this property is right on the beach....the staff was amazing...must have dinner the food was amazing......
Cons: the selection of wines were limited....
Pros: Georgina and the staff in general looked out for me. The breakfast was fine and the local cuisine was great!
Cons: Perhaps a small bar area to hang out and have drinks with other guests.
Pros: i love the settings. the hotel is well located to on the beach front with a crystal clear stream to the left and the bigger river to the right. I enjoyed the serenity. our host was also very nice.

Pros: Basic accommodations clean and great service, breakfast was also delicious.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Cute apartment and cute house, there's everything needed in it. The host is very nice with a beautiful smile, and she knows everything about the area. The breakfast is good. It's close from the beach & the main street.
Pros: Homy, safe and very conveniently with wonderful hostess Ingrid. We were particularly hsppy to have the use of a kitchen and to have the proprietor prepare a tasty local dinner. Our party of 5 adults, a child and a baby were very pleased and enjoyed our 2 day stay.
Cons: Rosters crowing at unseemly hours
