Nothing to like
They need to update the rooms . Clean carpet . Pics online are a lie
Location is perfect, room was exceptional although certain staff an kitchen team members must work on their performance an social skills. Rude tones an witty remarks.
Kitchen staff need to be more cautious, on an extreme level an I must exaggerate this issue! I am diagnosed with Crohn's disease therefore I have a strict diet.No dairy I ordered chicken flautas made by hotel an upon takin my first bite I swallowed chee
It was close to where I need to go and see.
I didn't know that you had to pay 29 dollar a day for parking.
This was not a 3 star hotel, nor was it comparable to the hotels listed as "similar". The furniture was all beat up, the drawers would not close, the AC did not work, and the smoke detector was hanging. There also was not a pool view, which I paid for.
It was close to the river walk
It was horrible we spent $250 for a 2 full size beds and it was the ugliest hotel rooms ever i felt so dirty being there and the beds were the most uncomfortable ever!! we will NEVER return!
The quaint boutique El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel is amidst a bustling tourist center. The hotel attracts tourists and business travelers alike who prefer charming, small hotels with history and individual character.
El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel is literally across the street from River Walk in downtown San Antonio, where several restaurants and shops await. The historic Arneson River Theater, The Blimpie Rivercenter Mall, Briscoe Western Art Museum, and the Alamo are all about a five-minute walk away. The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the Tower of the Americas in Hemisfair Park, and the AT&T Center are all within short distances.
Guest can grab a free newspaper in the lobby and head over the breakfast buffet. On-site Tiki’s Lounge and Expresso’s Café serve casual lunches and dinners. The hotel specializes in catering for wedding receptions and reunions at the upmarket ballroom. The fully equipped Strive Fitness Studio and outdoor swimming pool cater to all needs.
The hotel’s modern rooms offer free WiFi and flat-screen TVs, plus desks, minifridges, and coffeemakers. Upgraded rooms add balconies, microwaves and/or river views, while bright one- bedroom suites feature living rooms with sofa beds. The Club level suites offer access to a rooftop terrace.
The hotel is on the river’s edge but farther away from the River Walk’s main attractions than many San Antonio hotels. Travelers who don’t mind stretching their legs to see the sights will appreciate the good night’s sleep that being away from the action allows.
