Great location. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Light breakfast was enough to get the day started. Right at the gates to Chinatown and close to Union Square. The Irish Bank was a good Irish Pub and the Brasserie was a nice restaurant only steps away. Very good Chinese food nearby to suit your taste. The Hop On Hop Off bus is right at the corner. Easy to walk to the Museum of Modern Art.
Some rooms may be a little small for some and room art decoration may not be to everyone's taste.
Nice location, clean rooms.
No airconditioning whatsoever. Got really warm
Very loud guests, no fan in the room, smelly room and uncomfortable bed.
Location was supurb and secure
No air con , too much city noise with windows open at night ( fans in rooms would be a good idea )
Love that the hotel is not pretentious but provides you with all the essentials for your stay. The rooms are incredibly clean and the sink in the room is a great addition. We were apprehensive about the shared bathroom situation, however it is kept SO clean it is impressive and in 10 days we stayed at the hotel we didn’t come across 1 other user. LOVE that in a small space they managed to fit: a comfy bed, sink with overhead mirror/shelving, hairdryer, towels, wardrobe, small table and chair, mini fridge and tv! Fridge is SOOO helpful for anyone travelling with kids or simply if you want to chill a bottle of wine! Location is FANTASTIC as is only minutes to Union Square (where most tour buses depart from), Ferry Building and Chinatown. Lots to see on your doorstep. Touching on what other reviewers said about noise - we didn’t hear any! Must depend on what side of the building you’re on.
Breakfast. Not something to look forward to unfortunately. Nothing feels particularly fresh and choice is extremely limited - could definitely do with improving! However SF is known for fantastic breakfast/brunch places - definitely worth exploring those many options!!!
