Hotel Des Arts

The hotel is located right next to Chinatown and the financial district. BART/Muni stops are just a five minute walk away. The hotel has a unique style, lots of handdrawn art which gives it a lot of character. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds.

The raised on a platform, claw foot tub was an accident waiting to happen. the cleaner mistook a ziplock baggy of 12 art prints ($1,200 value) for candy wrappers and trashed them. the app I had to down load to get into my room and messaging before hand never provided the front of the building code.

The art everywhere was fun. While the bathroom fixtures were older, they were will maintained. Everything about the room was functional and utilitarian. This is a good thing because it is what was advertised and what I was looking for.
