Very Comfortable in a Great Location
This boutique hotel is small but has a lot of character. It was built over a century ago. A renovation to the interior has been done bringing it up to date. The exterior is being repainted now. Being in the heart of Union Square makes it very handy for shopping or anight out. The staff are what make the hotel special though. Edward at the front desk went over the top to make our anniversary extra nice.
The only downside is street noice but that goes with the location.
Staff was Awesome, room clean and beds comfortable with lots of pillows
Super helpful and friendly staff
The staff was extremely helpful. They offered suggestions for places to eat and visit during our short stay. The hotel also had an oldtimey feel to it and the service just enhanced its character even more.
Great concierge Kevin
Kevin gave the best advice for sightseeing and transportation.
The hotel was a great place to stay for a reasonable price. The location was outstanding. I'm on two canes and was able to walk to entertainment, bars, Union Square for tours, etc. All within two blocks. The room was small, but adequate (do you go to San Francisco to stay in your room??) and clean. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful. We will return!
The location was fantastic! The room was small but clean and comfortable. The hotel was lovely and all but one of the staff members were very friendly and helpful.
We valet parked the car because we were not familiar with the city and thought that would be easier. $40.00/night seemed pretty steep for that service.
great location, just don't spend too much time in
Great price, great location, and very convenient with free wifi.
No ac, small beds, and no space to put bags
Great hotel for price- amazing location
Loved the old charm of the hotel- the staff was extremely welcoming and very nice. The location was great- we could walk to most places we wanted to go or just catch the trolley. Also has a 7eleven convenient store and a walgreens across the street which was nice to grab quick snacks or water for night or morning. Good find! Would definitely come back for the price- we enjoy the city and like spending more on doing things while traveling rather than a place to sleep- so it was a win win for us!
The size of the room was a bit small- and the bathroom counter space was limited- but it was to be expected from an older building, didn't bother us much. I wish the hotel would advertise and tell guests before booking that dogs are welcome- we didn't know that till we arrived to the hotel and saw a sign and we would of l
Staff seemed untrained, and just plain lazy. Every time we walked in we would find the desk person sitting in the lobby with their feet up. They were nice it was just all around strange behavior.
Could not cool down the room.
Beds very uncomfortable, front desk staff unfriendly, highly priced for value
