There was no air conditioning in our room. My friend stayed in another room and theirs had better ventilation through the windows. The room we stayed in was a small room with a double bed. IT WAS ENTIRELY TOO HOT. If Hotel staff is aware some rooms are hotter than others, an air conditioning window box NEEDS to be put in that room. IT WAS MISERABLE. Paying for a hotel is paying for a home away from home. We felt like we were camping. Definitely not worth the money.
location is alright
dirty. small. no a/c.
Converience to union square, pleasant staff.
Poorly kept facility, with pathetic breakfast. Worst of all was the street noise at night, particularly when the bars closed at 2:00 am. Resulting with a bad rendition of The National Anthem. No air, had to keep the window open. But for under $200/night incl taxes what should we have expected? Parking garage gets a half star for fluctuating argumentative, pricing policy.
Decent breakfast, older place like most in SF.
They were not upfront about parking when I called. After I arrived, it took about an hour to find a parking garage that would hold our car overnight as the hotel only has a deal with one of them. They also failed to mention that parking was EXTRA. Smelled like smoke in a non-smoking room.
Poor air circulation
Quaint rooms with original, but updated decor, very cute. Adequate breakfast with bagels, oatmeal and coffee/tea. Didn't feel much like a hotel but small apartment
Small, slow elevator. Small bathroom/shower, but ok for short stay
It would be great the staff speak also Spanish.
The hotel was very comfortable if slightly jaded, but it was only a short distance from Union Square and the staff was excellent, helpful and friendly.
Comfortable bed. Close to Union Square and downtown. Close to good restaurants.
The very small bathroom too close to the bed.
Don't expect a good breakfast
