perfect view, nice environment
The place and park Restaurant was closed, but food in pizzeria was very bad.
Staying in comfort in a magnificent historical building Repetitive background music in the grounds
great breakfast rooms are small - general comfort is poor
The castle and staff were wonderful. The spa was very nice as well. My husband and I never left the hotel because there were so many things to do at the castle.
The pizza resraurant The wine cellars were always closed. On mondays the main restaurant is closed. The rooms are definately not for cat-swingers. The furniture was more S/H Ikea than antique.
Beautiful location Room that showed on the website did not match the one we were given and the bathroom was extremely filthy. The hotel staff did not believe this until we printed out the picture from the website. After that they changed our room. Website did not state that the pool cost 18 euros per person per use and that parking was free as long as you were willing to walk up the mountain. This hotel is for people with too much money and not enough sense. If you want to see the castle stay down at the town for cheaper and walk up.
The beautiful building and location. The car access barrier entry system remote from the main building. We rang the recepetion buzzer four times over a five minute period and never had any reply. We only got through the barrier because finally another car was exiting! It was stressful having to'jump' the barrier and not suitable for a 4 star hotel. The reception member of staff did not apologise and simply said he was 'on the phone' and couldnt answer the buzzer. This seems quite unacceptable as an entry system. It beggared belief that he couldnt see/respond to the buzzer while on the phone at the same time.He did not apologise or give any indication that he was concerned for our inconvenience and remained unsmiling throughout.A poor welcome to a lovely place, what a let down.
Everything! It was sheer bliss. The location was wonderful and the staff could not have been more helpful. The service was absolutely first class.
Hotel's location in the center of the city and attentive staff
Everything; the proximity to the train station, the room, the little courtyard, the food and the staff (Marco and the lady looking after breakfast). A lovely place that we hope to return again. The fact that the a/c is stopped at 3 a.m. The a/c should be available for the clients wishing to use it.
Room comfortable location exellent although hard to find at first cafes and bars close by No tea /coffee making facilities in room
Free and secure parking. Offered a terrible room first - under the roof, no window just a tiny skylight. Under no circumstances was it the "Deluxe" we had booked. After complaining they gave us a proper room on the 2nd floor, which was much better.
Friendly staff.Small, beautiful, new hotel in a historic building. Nice spacious room.
This is a pretty hotel, in a picturescue town. Though it was a little difficult to find, even with directions provided by the hotel. Finding somewhere to eat after a long drive was difficult, until late evening.
It was a lovely, comfortable stay at Hotel Canon d'Oro.All were most helpful and courteous.Grazie Mille.
Breakfast not correct, ham chease egg is not free of charge...
The room was large and comfortable, there was air con if required and the bathroom was also large. Very happy with the service and the food available, breakfast was lovely. Could have done with a kettle and tea cup in the room but I suppose that is just a british thing. Not really a complaint as they provided tea at a sensible price as room service which came with fancy biscuits as well.
We liked it very much Our room did not have windows to look through, and we had not been informed of that. When we arrived, our greeting was thin and not entirely helpful, but staying there was absolutely fine
very good breakfast!
The reception staff were welcoming and helpful in recommending a good local restaurant. Breakfast service also efficient Hotel is adequate but the rooms are small, rather gloomy and much in need of refurbishment
Very good value for money
Good service, good helpful staff Room is a little bit small, but still ok.
The staff is friendly and nice. Wireless conection very good. The room is dark and everything seemed old (the TV set- old and small, the AC device, the hair dryer, even the sink). The windows have no protection for musquitos and flys. Shower cabin is too small. Inside the room and bathroom there is a bad odour. And so on...
Outstanding level of service from all staff
the total professionalism of the staff No, it was an excellent experience
It was not possible to eat the evening of arrival
The staff was very nice and willing to help with tips on the city. The WiFi service is only available downstairs, not in the entire hotel (as announced). But this is ok, there is plenty of confortable space in the lobby.
Old fashioned interior design
Good Value for money, located 20km from belluno. You can find exellent wine in the area, especially prosecco.
Nice location, good staff, clean, large rooms - unbelivable small charge for such a nice hotel. a bit poor breakfast
Helpful staff, clean rooms. Internet connection (wired). A bit difficult parking. No European power adapters.
The quality of food at the restaurant was exceptional but a bit overpriced. Room furniture could be improved.
Staff were very helpful, letting me bring my bicycle inside the hotel and were all smartly dressed, the males all wearing ties. I'm old-fashioned in that respect. Also enjoyed getting two lots of sanwiches and crisps when drinking at the bar!!
An excellent hotel - very kind and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms (ours was with a view of a beautiful garden), cable Internet in the room and wi-fi in the public areas. Excellent breakfast - as you are in a 4stars hotel.
The poolside restaurant was excellent, especially the atmosphere, food and staff. Check-in staff was not particularly eager to share details about the hotel, its wellness center services and local knowledge, surprising considering we were nearly the only overnight guests, measured by a look at the parking lot.
Small tv set.
It's wonderfull plase nothig
Good rooms, friendly staff
Very very nice little villa within a beautiful scenary. The staff was very serviceminded and showed a great hospitality. The restaurant was very charming with the old guy who worked both as a chef and waiter. If you stay at this hotel you should definitely have a visit at the restaurant Location. A bit difficult to find
the park, the view, the feeling of being received in a almost family run manor, the relax at the pool side, they are dog friendly the pool attire is a bit rundown, but this is also part of the flavour
It's a very nice place to stay, quiet and nice, it's the ideal starting point for discovering the surrounding area
The staff was tremendous, including Andrea at the front desk and Nello and Matteo at the restaurant. The hotel's restaurant is wonderful, with a beautiful room and delicious food and wine. The pool and gardens are very nice, especially the pool overlooking the vineyards.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable with a beautiful view of the swimmingpool and the green hills in the background. We booked a family room + an extra bed. We were pleasantly surprised to be allocated a suite with a connecting entrance hall. Bathrooms were fresh and modern. Both rooms had a lot of individual character. Villa Soligo is a perfect place to relax and get away from things. It is not a big hotel in terms of number of rooms and this helps to maintain the calm and relaxing feeling. Although we travelled in the height of the summer season it never felt crowded in the hotel, in the hotel grounds or around the pool. Very relaxing. The beautiful, historical building is an added bonus. We missed not having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were happy to provide a pot of hot water and cups but this, of course, was not as quick and convenient. The service of hot drinks at breakfast was not that efficient and the breakfast buffet was a little boring. More types of bread and some sliced tomatoes, peppers and cucumber would be good. The TV in our room did not work well, but this was not a problem to us as we did not want to watch TV on holiday anyway. The shower cubicle was not water proof as some water always leaked on to the floor when showering.
The suite was fantastic. We booked a quadruple room and they gave us a marvelous two room suite. The restaurant is also very good, with very nice staff.
The hotel charged us 20 euro more than we had agreed to pay. Left feeling like we had been robbed. Not happy!!
the man in the restaurant, food and villa- magic place nothing
Staff, pool, comfort, friendliness, breakfast, and staff member Andrea! No
Superb hotel. Very kind staff.
The friendly and helpful staff. Extensive and thoughtful room amenities which also included a kettle and tea/coffee etc so unsual in Italian hotels.
We woke each morning to an endless view of vineyards and incredibly beautiful Italian countryside. The Vineyard/BB owner and staff were always present and ready to help with our every need. The Owner even made sure we had breakfast before leaving for our flight at 6 AM. They also produce the best Prosecco Italy has to offer! Nothing to dislike. It is in the country. Don't be shy, rent a car, ride the bus. Have the full Italian Vineyard experience.
Quiet, friendly, nice environment Nope
A very pleasant stay in this beautiful hotel. The church bells at 6 a.m!
Everything. All above the normal. Perhaps, a few suggestions can be made but these are, seen the high score, irrelevant and just minor. detail.
breakfast quality should be improved
Beautiful spaceous rooms.
personal on reception was very friendly, in the next building is located very good restaurant
I could not make the WiFi connection to work
Well located, large bedrooms & bathrooms They should put directions even in the main road
Everything very nice. Thank you.
Location - Friendliness of staff - Complete and good breakfast. It would be nice to have a kettle to make tea coffee in the room/suite.
The architectural structure of the hotel, the views of the river was excellent. underground car park is a plus. Pieve di Soligo is a nice town. Old furniture
How hospitable everyone was and how easy it was to get around. The location was perfect and the staff were great.
Very friendly and helpful staff, large room, underground parking included, excellent Enoteca next door (good food and the extensive winelist is very reasonably priced) Housekeeping was just a bit loud in their enthousiastically performed morning duties. Just something I notice in a lot of hotels.
The hotel it's fantastic, perfect, awesome. The staff is very friendly and kind.
The proprietor was extremely accomodating and friendly. Beautiful room. Excellent breakfast served in the room. Free and very secure parking. Free internet access. Ther was nothing I did not like.
The rooms are quite spacious and very modern with all the amenities one needs for business or for leisure travel. It is well located, very central to everything. Your breakfast comes to your room in the morning which was quite nice and the wifi is free, also an added plus. nothing.
Very well appointed. Staff were very helpful and friendly no
