Pros: Loved everything about it. Very comfortable and a wonderful breakfast buffet! Can’t wait to visit again!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms a cozy and comfortable! Great breakfast and excellent staff. Could not have asked for a better location ! So many shops and restaurants just outside your door. Most definitely will be back!
Cons: The one and only complaint I have is our room was right below the breakfast room so, early in the morning we were woken up by the staff setting up the area. It was very very loud and disruptive. The up side was the breakfast was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Cosy rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Delicious variety of breakfast treats, locks, bagels, quiche, fresh fruit and more, set in a bright room with patio overlooking a sweet brook and woods. Stella, Brian and Louise were wonderful hosts!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. Friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast & outdoor patio is great on a nice day. Also wine & cheese reception!
Cons: The room is small & a little worn. Could use some updating. Mattress was too soft.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice comfortable room...nice appointments...wish I have little more time to enjoy ...
Cons: Not much...good place...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: perfectly located hotel with spacious rooms and a great terrace offering views of the redwood forest (that literally starts in the backyard).
Cons: access to our room was via the parking lot and through an unappealing corridor. the hotel consists of different buildings (an old and a new one) and the old building seemd more charming to us than the new one.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Boutique inn located in the middle of Mill Valley. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms on the second floor don't connect to the dining area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Rooms were so spacious and decor was so updated and shabby chic.

Marin Lodge - San Rafael - Bedroom

9.2 Excellent (820 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in San Rafael, Marin Lodge is within a 5-minute drive of Marin County Civic Center Farmers' Market and Dominican University of California. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room wasn't big, but had everything I needed and wanted - TV, microwave, mini-fridge, a place to work, a very comfortable bed and a nice shower.
Cons: The continental breakfast was lacking and there should have been instructions on using the television remote.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ns
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet place. Complimentary breakfast offered in the morning. Very nice staff. Would definitely recommend if you want to stay near San Francisco, which is about a 40-minute drive from the lodge.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value, comparatively. We were visiting the City and were willing to drive 20 miles and across the bridge to avoid stratospheric hotel rates in SF. Our room was generously sized and appeared to have been updated/rehabbed/refreshed fairly recently, including the bathroom. Clean and comfortable, good beds, good linens, good towels, Good recent-vintage flat screen TV in working order with Xfinity cable service. Rock-solid wi-fi I clocked at about 60 - 80 Mbps down and 8 - 10 Mbps up. (They actually have three access points - north, mid, and south, with 2.4G and 5G connections.) Very friendly staff. These owners obviously take pride in their property and maintain it very well. The only (very) minor downside: be very cautious when exiting the property, since the driveway exits onto narrow yet busy Lincoln Avenue with an obstructed view in both directions. This place is a considerable step above a basic Motel-6-type place; I recommend the Marin Lodge and would definitely return.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Main Lodge is located 10 minutes from downtown with a zillion great restaurants. The rooms are all single story, so no one walking around above you. It's clean, quiet, refreshing and perfect for our collection of family who were attending a wedding in Fairfax. I loved it!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A big comfortable and clean room with a nice shower.
Cons: A little noisy. The breakfast was minimal with pastries and coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check in. Great price! Friendly staff and really nice breakfast.
Cons: Everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that the beds were cleaned.
Cons: Nothing in particular.

Cons: Nothing negative to say.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, good service, great breakfast!
Cons: Our room was located on 3rd floor, very end unit and very noisy with highway 101 traffic. Not too bad during the day...but starting about 5am, did not have a good sleep.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet. Lobby area had a good smell. Cheese and wine in the late afternoon was excellent!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: They had free bicycle checkouts at the hotel, a fantastic full breakfast, wine and cheese social hour (only went once but it was nice), peaceful view (we lucked out and got a water view), great room and even a cozy robe I wish I had at home. The staff was also very welcoming. In addition the staff responsible for prepping the breakfast get an extra tip of the hat for getting it all assembled perfectly every morning.
Cons: In truth it was a very nice place to stay if you wanted a comfy room, great breakfast in a convenient location but I thought they charged a bit much per night. Given the area I can see their price point. The only real complaint was the fact there was no power outlet in the bathroom. Very odd.
6.5 Good
Cons: The acoustics were terrible and I could hear everything from the upstairs neighbor to someone’s alarm clock. Also the plumbing makes extremely loud whining noises. So all of this was happening at all hours of the night!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the breakfasts and the people helping to make breakfast delicious. We also enjoyed the location as we had easy access to San Francisco and Sonoma Valley. The setting was very peaceful and made our stay enjoyable.
Cons: Suggest mixing up the choices on the main breakfast items.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast every morning was delicious. The eggs were real not runny. The bacon was the highlight. It was crispy and thick. The best part was the view of the mountains.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like in our junior suite was that the only TV the room had was in the space were the bed was. The 2nd living space with couch and chair had no TV. When we came back to suite in the afternoons you had to lay on bed to watch TV.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, super nice happy hour, good breakfast. Free bikes to ride, beautiful place to ride bikes. Really pleasant stay. Nice and kind staff. Very nice view of the water.
Cons: I don’t remember anything I didn’t like, except the room was a little small.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved breakfast, especially the frittata! Rooms comfortable and clean, bathroom well-equipped with soaps, lotions, shampoos, etc. Helpful, polite and pleasant staff.
Cons: Can't think of anything ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms, entire building smelled fresh and if lavender, great breakfast, wine hour, warm cookies, bikes.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location of the hotel and the room. (sliding door to exit) Easy to take dog outside from sliders. Beautiful property. Enjoyed the wine and cheese in the late afternoon and breakfast in the morning.
Cons: The only complaint I would have is that the grout in the bathrooms had mold on some of the tile grout. Other than that I would say it is definitely worth a trip back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wine and cheese , bed , breakfast
Cons: Very helpful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Staff was thoughtful of my requests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We simply needed a place to stay between Napa Valley and Marin Headlands. This is a great location with brunch, yoga/cycle studios, juice shops and more all within walking distance. It's right near the highway- perfect!
Cons: Nope!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It is a clean, nice and confortable hotel. The breakfast is of good quality. The staff is friendly. The lobby is modern. Parking is available. Location is convinient. Wifi is free.
Cons: Booking.com provides a wrong information on breakfast price for the booking : they indicate breakfast for 9 Euros while there does not seem to be any such agreement with the Hotel for that room price. Booking.com is to blame for that. Hotel staff accepted though to comply with provided booking information. Room decoration looks a bit old compared to lobby (yet very clean). Missed one extra blanket in the bedroom
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Bed was lil lumpy
7.0 Good

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was great, it had a kitchenette, which was nice. The captain/nautical themed room was nice. The place is charming. Lots of natural light in the room. The location is a 2-minute walk to the Safeway supermarket and a 6-minute walk to the main street in town. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.
Cons: Walking through a restaurant to get to the rooms is somewhat strange. The kitchen to the restaurant was right next to my room, which meant there was more noise than usual. Parking could be a little bit of a pain depending on time of day. The neighborhood is okay, although there are indigents congregating near the 7 Eleven 2 blocks away.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet street, friendly staff, beautiful boutique motel. Rosie’s room was great for our family of four. Restaurant food was amazing, absolutely love the laid back atmosphere.
Cons: Street parking isn’t the most convenient but no issues finding parking while we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful, the facility wonderful. The breakfast was fresh and great. It was odd to have to walk through the restaurant to get to our room but other than that it was a great find. We would stay there again. There was one robe in our room so it would have been nice to have two since we were two people but that’s a small detail.
Cons: Walking through the restaurant to get to our room.
6.8 Good
Pros: I stayed 3 nights and I really liked the restaurant for the evening meal. I only had a chance to use it once. The breakfasts were nice as well.
Cons: It was hard to get any directional information from the reception staff. They seemed to be very busy with the restaurant. There was not much local info available. Only the last day I got a Google maps print out of San Rafael. The room was painfully small and there was no place to sit down outside unless one wanted to sit at the restaurant table or in full sun on the balcony. In spite of being a small hotel with potentially nice homey atmosphere it didn’t really have it. I guess there wasn’t enough staff to have time for the guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean accommodations. Lively restaurant downstairs (quiet by bedtime). Very well maintained Victorian property. I stayed in a single room on a hallway with two shared bathrooms. It was well-appointed and clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!!
Cons: I loved everything!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit and scones. The great location close to town and a short distance to the ferry. The outdoor patio so casual and inviting
Cons: Thought we were getting a room with a small balcony. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside but couldn’t do so.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and breakfast, terrific granola and fruit.
Cons: Walls are thin and we heard snoring from several other rooms. We liked the Venetian Room but wondered about the privacy of other rooms.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very quaint. But not clean. Lampshades cockeyed and dusty. The hair dryer was dusty. Kleenex box had two sheets of tissue. TV was horrible. Bad resolution. Coffee maker was very dirty and underneath the coffee maker was filthy. The breakfast was excellent.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. The restaurant was amazing. There were balconies to hang out on and drink coffee or wine. Very relaxing.

Cons: Older
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The desk people are wonderful - what a nice group of people. They make you look good!
7.5 Good
Pros: Included breakfast. Mountain View.
Cons: Breakfast should be extended to end at 11am instead of 9:30am.
1.0 Poor
Cons: filthy water gurgled up from drainage grates and flooded the parking lots at night. To get in my shoes were soaked, carried heavy suitcase. Gross, nasty hotel. Surrounded by deserted businesses-VERY isolated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly & courteous service, convenient location!
Cons: They charged a deposit on our credit card but did not tell us they were doing so. As of 3 days later that amount has not been credited back.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean. Location was great. Nice walk along estuary in the morning. Off the main road.
Cons: Bed was soooo uncomfortable. Awful! The springs were jabbing my ribs all night. Could not sleep at all. Breakfast was very bland.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The hotel was close to Muir Woods and Sausalito.
Cons: We were placed in a room in a separate building from the breakfast. So in the morning if we wanted coffee we would have to walk through two buildings and outside. Also, the entrance street is poorly marked and almost caused an accident.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was very nice here.
Cons: Shower was not functioning 100%. It worked just seemed like it was going to break soon.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location just off Hwy 101. Free parking. Comfortable bedding. Very good breakfast.

Door keys had to be replaced three times. Fire alarm went off, but no one informed the guests that it was a false alarm.

4.0 Okay
Cons: Totally ridiculous to charge for parking at this location! Hotel is starting renovations Aug 7, 2019. I don't recommend booking here for quite some time unless they give a deep discount.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I love the property it’s always clean and comfortable
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful & friendly throughout. I always enjoy the wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast omelet and meal. Breakfast staff including the chef & waiters were excellent.
Cons: There were 2 spiders in the bathtub but I flushed them down the drain. The only improvement that could be made would be to replace the darn radio/alarm clock. Never figured out how to change the time & the sound quality was poor. The room did have two excellent large TVs that I enjoyed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the happy hour, the pool and breakfast.
Cons: It was a bit old compare to other Embassy Suits, and the room was smaller than other Embassy suites.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The rooms are way out dated, furniture are old and torn. The rooms smell old and dusty.
Cons: The only thing was good about this place was the lication. I remember when it was the best hotel in town. NOW IT'S THE WORST HOTEL IN ALL COUNTY.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Happy Hour and the Breakfast Buffet were good. The waterfall feature was nice. Lobby was nice.
Cons: The hotel needs updating. My wife was concerned of the cleanliness of room and hotel. Was not as nice as other Embassy Suites stayed at before.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at this location because we wanted to spend the night after attending the fair. The location to the fairgrounds is great! The rooms are clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel, by far, has one of the best hotel breakfasts that I have had included with a room stay! My children loved the waterfall in the center of the hotel which made them feel like they were in a special place and excited to stay there!
Cons: The rooms are rather dated and the furniture was torn in places. We tried three different rooms (which the staff at the front desk was very understanding about) for one that smelled fresh. We decided that they all must smell a little musty. The good news is that signs were posted indicating that a remodel is planned for this winter. Hopefully, the rooms will be freshened up! I wish parking was included in the cost of the rooms. They are already a bit spendy without the extra $10 added.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Happy hour was included and nice. Breakfast was good and there were some foods made to order. Room was nice size and comfortable. There was a lot of common space to hang out with friends and family without having to be in someone's room.
Cons: Coffee at breakfast wasn't great. Would have loved the option to get a espresso or latte type drink (either at breakfast or in the hotel area). Hotel interior was dated, but there were many signs about remodeling happening soon.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast and evening reception.
Cons: I slept on the pull out sofa and it was quite uncomfortable.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff was really professional, paying attention to details and remembering customers preferences. The staff is the very big plus of the hotel. Breakfast was pretty good and well prepared. Rooms are clean and quite comfy.
Cons: Renovation. The hotel is currently under heavy renovation. It's noisy, most of the facility is closed : no front desk reception, no swimming pool, no gym,... I paid full price, $250 per night to suffer the noise and the inconvenience of the renovation. I think this is a really wrong move from the hotel management. They should not charge a full price night for this kind of heavy inconvenience. Luckily I could not post the video with the noise here...
4.0 Okay
Pros: location, location, location
Cons: NEEDS TONS OF UPDATING EVERYTHING
6.8 Good
Pros: Quiet location convenient to shopping.
Cons: Texts from management asking if I were enjoying my stay. Water feature makes the atrium relentlessly noisy. Smell of perfumed air freshener was obnoxious. he dinner steak was thin. Windowsill in my room had flaky paint. Window track was dirty. The only newspaper available was USA Today. Utility panel in my room was not securely attached to the wall. Pros: to leave

Cons: The room has a bad smell like mold. The bathroom’s wall was full of mold. The refrigerator wasnt working . The air condition didnt work properly. It has bad smell.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice upon check-in and check out. The place is as advertised, oldish but carpet was newish and everything was clean. No funny smells. Bed was comfortable. You'd think it would be noisy so close to the freeway but that wasn't a problem. Some noise from floor above but mostly shower noise and tolerable. Great location close to all the roads to explore Marin and many food options in nearby downtown San Rafael. Also close to Copperfield's Bookstore. We went off-site for full breakfast since we had a long day ahead and needed a substantial breakfast.
Cons: I wish we had a room with a bathtub but I didn't ask for one specifically, so not their fault. I don't know if any of their rooms have tubs. Next time I'll be sure to ask for a tub.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, clean and well taken care of even tho it's an older motel. Well worth the price and great breakfast choices.

6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was located close to the freeway and the Indian restaurant next to the hotel had good food.
Cons: One of the hotel staff members working in the Continental breakfast area was sick with a cold and she was sneezing over the food and drinks and not even covering her mouth. We decided to not eat the free breakfast because we were concerned germs.

Cons: I could't figure out how to work the jacuzzi bath tub jets. I called the lobby to ask for verbal support. He said he didn't know. It wasn't a big thing or even a small thing. Operating jets was not a deal breaker whatsoever. I'd go back
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Let’s cation to cities, buses, shops, etc.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location great for SF
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Not far from Golden bridge and Alcatraz Prison - about 20 minutes away.
Cons: I asked for queen beds and they were full size bed. They should provide a sofa bed - since I asked for a queen size bed. I arrived At night - 11pm or so, could not open my room door - went back and forth to the reception - I was irritated since was too tired and wanted to rest - reception just “activated the key again m”. Not till, I told him just give me another room, I don’t want to be going back and forth - he then offer to help us open the door and told me there were no more room available.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location for Muir Woods and access to highways. Updating and decor are quite nice for a relatively old property. Interesting landscaped walkway with benches overlooking marsh area.

5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast room is way to small. couldn't even get in to grab breakfast. the area is beautiful I will definitely stay in the area again.
Cons: The beds were very lumpy and they had blankets folded under neath. The door had an inch wide crack all around it from not having weather striping. Made me feel very unsafe, I could here everything that was going on outside.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is perfect for Sausalito, Muir Woods & surrounding area visitors.
Cons: Room, bath & bed are all small. No bathtub. Extremely tiny soap holder in the shower. Tough to place soap in its holder without dropping it on the floor many times.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We like the location next freeway We like the service/staff. We like how clean it is.
Cons: We really enjoy this place.
7.5 Good
Pros: Wide room and closer to cafe.
Cons: No shampoo in the bathroom. Less parking Space.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: my false hope that it would be a good night's sleep helped me tolerate war at the library and on transit and in supermarkets earlier in the day in marin. The speed of the transit there was relieving compared to what has mostly been a 4 hour round trip from west marin camps to corte madera to eat and work.
Cons: At noon today at medway and mill near the motel 6 san rafael ground waste erupted as the 23 sped past the 36 without stopping and this forced me to scream what had been suppressed all night from weapons in the motel 6 room to remind the driver to stop. I got on the 36 and quietly put my money in the slot and the driver insulted me by saying that the 23 can't stop at the same time as the 36, when in fact it can, and they are scheduled 2 minutes apart and they blew both aspects of the law and their job, forcing me to tell the 36 driver I would report him for being snidely dishonest and breaking the law. See surveillance of this and it may help you see what scares me is the obvious trajectory of increased arousal by force in quiet public areas which is getting me to lose some boundaries that are supposed to be subtly enforced by routine legality of busses at stops and no weapons in rooms especially in 120 dollar rooms that a man suffering arthritis by precisely said weapons for 6 years. A year ago in Tempe I again used motel 6 for a couple months, and as I have reported I was forced by motel 6 to return to California when the chain added the last threat i could tolerate in the area which was very large cricket-wasp-cockroach hybrids (which was only a month after snakes in ESA) and when they demanded I use my own raid I had to relocate because the room was so unstable all the raid might have entered my face or feet and then been pulled into a vent after it made me vomit or fall and break teeth and then the hybrid bus would erupt 30 huge stingers into me and I would need an emergency room when the raid reentered the room from a laser and kept me vomiting again. Motel poisonings and other abuses of contract in San Francisco have forced me to use this location of motel 6 and the abuse there keeps rising. I should not have to ask: when do they have to stop? How long is it legal to radio and laser and poison abuse me at a motel chain that victimization to stealth
7.0 Good
Cons: Internet connection was consistently poor
4.5 Okay
Pros: I had to be in marin for the night anyway so the access was easy, and the price for the sf or marin area seemed ok, and the room was actually nicotine free, which has rarely been the case in m6 for 6 years, each time I get a nonsmoke room I am shown 7 or 8 rooms up steps that tornado smoke into me at door point, which ends being like hiking 1000 feet up a hot petrol trail in a forest fire before I get the room. this happened in a minor way the last few uses of this particular location.
Cons: The blanket had a dangerous acidic metal in it which burned my nose when I huffed it to my face, which warned me to not use the bed as it was, but to lay a clean tarp on it and use my washed sleeping pad and sleeping bag to suffer zero bed plagues. Yet still there were electroshock fan plagues augmented by automotive plagues so that gas, motor oil, monoxide, and freeons and room acids from the previous room user were injected inches into my body 50 to 75 times throughout the night destroying the 100 dollars in grade a raw foods I had to eat the 20 hours before m6 to combat chronic fatigue and denutrification from other weapons and poison-drift heavy camping areas in sonoma. The cost of this room was over 100, so I trusted it would help me recover from the 5 dollar campsites in sonoma, which makes my daily rate at the end of the month about 50 to 60. But it kept waste from the camping area in my body by ruining my sleep and my metabolism and blood and even my sense of safety in reporting the problems because m6 and motels in general have been augmenting or intensifying camp damages rather than compensating for them for 6 years while I am suffering housing discrimination problems. Once outside I got redundant and harrowing proof that the "better" motel water was worse than the camp water due to the fan-shock system vibrating debris from a filter or pipe into my shower system so I got something cancerous into my skin and was tornadoed by ground, trashcan, truck, and pedestrian clothing and epidermal and even anal and urinary wastes and searing alcohol hurricanes around and on the bus that rendered me a growling heavy-metal singer about problems rather than a tense planner of emails on the issue. The whole deal may have taken that 100 food used and added another 100 rendering it a 300 dollar room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It was a disgusting place. Very noisy bugs in bathroom in morning. Afraid to drink tap water
6.3 Good

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Walked into the room and it felt like I was gonna fall through the floor in front of the bed was a 3 foot are that was sunk in and made alot of noise and we were in room 112 and that's on the ground floor, plus the bed was lound and squeaked all night not to forget the 4-5 guys outside our window drinking beer being loud and intimidating two of them were walking behind me it was dark and stopped their foot to scare my dog their was nothing in the room like a coffee pot, Blowdryer, shampoo just one little soap and forget asking for anything I was hung up on by the front when asked for wifi password all and all the worst night spent in a motel ever there is nothing like being afraid to leave your room because of drunk guys and we are two women staying in the room.

4.8 Okay
